my bedtime now, but looking forward to more rally talk. Crazy site, with all of us all over the world trying to hold a conversation at the same time! See you in the “bedtime” thread in the morning.

Okay, must admit that I know nothing about flickr and cannot figure out how to get my photos off my page so that they show up on the search.

Cassie Jeep I have a nice photo of your sign but darned if I can figure out how to get it linked here. I am not going to look at it right now and hope that later I’ll be able to figure it out.

Oh well, maybe someone else got a photo of it. FYI, several people were looking at it strangely, so had to explain to them that it was an inside joke sort of thing, and that the other 4 signs that I’d brought with me, the ones that were quite easy to understand, had been given to others… I even saw a couple of the signs that I’d handed off at the anti-Palin rally a while back. Good recycling guys & gals!!!

While I was out today with my sign I explained to someone from out of town what the deal was/is with this rally: Alaskans want the truth, and we deserve it. This was not a partisan rally, my signs did not talk about Obama (though we all wore our Obama shirts). I hoped that this rally would draw in Repubs as well as others, because many of them want to know the truth, and of course deserve to know it! He asked me about the TransCanada Pipeline deal and we had a little discussion about that as well. Crazy days here in AK.

Best to everyone, can’t wait to see AKM’s write-up. And maybe someday I’ll figure out how to get my photos to you all.

I don’t mean to sound crazy, but is it possible there is another shoe yet to fall with regard to Palin? Could she be faking it? She debated in Alaska. How did she do? Somewhere in my hours online I read that the Obama camp was praising her debate skills.
On another note, is it possible she decides her family needs her and quits the ticket before Thursdays debate?
I’m a blond. Every once in a while I get these notions. Help me make it through the night…

The rally exposes another McCain lie:

    Maybe not.

I keep checking in for the article, but not up yet, although seeing the photos was great. I checked out Anchorage Daily News, who said there were about 1,000 people. I’m really anxious to see what’s reported here. They originally vastly underestimated the last anti-Palin rally the first day I read it. I hope I don’t have to wait for the morning as there’s a four-hour time difference here.

And I must say that I really appreciate being able to edit my comments!

    Guys and Gals,

I LOVED the pics from all of you. My 17 and 13 year olds girls were crowding me out to see ‘em. May just have to get me a WASP tee shirt (Women Against Sarah Palin).

The signs! Alaskans KNOW how to make signs. I mean, there is no doubt that those were real individuals writing their own words. UN-like the Palin signs at the Repub Convention and that appeared at Palin/McCain Rallys which were printed to look homemade….like a grassroots movement. Not trying to copy Obama at all. Nun unh.

My smile is from ear to ear.

    Hello, Alaskans –

Sorry to interrupt the conversation, but I just have to ask Alaskans: Could Sarah Palin be faking her cluelessness? I watched the Katie Couric interview about Russia and her incoherence looked put-on to me. I have heard that the McCain-ites may be trying to lower expectations prior to her debate w/Biden. Those of you who have seen her in her role as Governor of Alaska, is that how she normally is? You all sound just as shocked as everyone else…

You guys are great and this is an awesome blog,

Just looked at the photos on the Anchorage Daily News site from today’s rally:

Thought Photo No. 17 showing a sign with Hunter Sarah, kneeling in the snow with her rifle showing off her trophy of a dead Lady Liberty, was especially devastating.

    @ trish (19:34:02) :

They wouldn’t risk the credibility of the campaign by faking Palin’s lack of intelligence. Sarah sounds better in the Alaska debates because she is familiar with Alaska politics and issues. She knows nothing of national or international politics and issues. But she’s being coached round the clock, so she’ll be fine.

ds55, thanks for the info, but it does not appear to me that the campaign is too worried about credibility. Looks to me like they’ll try anything and so far they’ve been getting away with it… I would have assumed all the coaching would have gotten her through an interview a little better than that. I still suspect she was putting on the cluelessness somewhat. It really looks faked up. Thanks again.

    http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5jnhZ5ehM97b5g022vv1cHSheTh1gD93F6BO00

This one deserves an excerpt (sorry about the cutting, but I wanted to keep it short):

“…when Davis joined the campaign in January 2007, he asked that his $20,000-a-month salary be paid directly to Davis Manafort….Separately, another entity created and partly owned by Davisâ??an Internet firm called 3eDC, whose address was the same office building as Davis Manafort’sâ??received payments from the McCain campaign for Web services, collecting $971,860 through March 2008.”

Hey Alaskans, does the name “Michael Rovito” ring a bell? Because Lady Sarah was allowed out of the Tower long enough to get a Philly cheesesteak, fell into conversation with another customer who just happened to ask her about Pakistan, and she just happened to make a fool of herself again: she supported Obama’s suggestion for cross-border raids, and when the guy asked, “What about Waziristan? I hear it’s blowing up!” she said it was blowing up, and added, “and the economy!” (of Waziristan?)

The customer gave his name as “Michael Rovito”, and a quick Google turns up a Temple grad student named Michael Rovito, but there’s also a Michael Rovito who works for the Alaska Frontiersman. That’s rather a whopping huge coincidence, no?

WHy isn’t impeachment on the table for Gov. Palin?

Besides the investigation, it appears to me that this Gov. has encouraged her staff to break the law by directly or indirectly through the attorney general to by refusing to testify.

We recently lost the Gov. of NY for having sex with a prostitute.
She has lied to and obstructed an investigation that clearly needs to be done before she can run for VP.

Why are WE THE PEOPLE allowing this?

Sarah Palin has introduced an interesting phenomena into American politics: Candidate Mainstreaming.
Governor Palin can’t be expected to answer the difficult questions. She’s a special candidate.
Won’t talk to unfriendly media outlets. Can’t take reporters unscripted queries. No off-the-cuff or on the spot.
    No So Sarah!
We can’t assume that as a future world leader she should know foreign policy facts or world economy figures.
    No So likely!
When her prepared statements are proven to be fiction, she is excused from the truth. Special!
And the lemurs keep on cheering, insisting she is a viable candidate and that can hold her own with terrorists and potentates.
But yesterday, when the McCain camp insisted on revamping the rules of the Vice Presidential debate to make reasonable accommodations for his running mate’s inexperience in debating, we reached the pinnacle of preposterousness.
Not even the simple community activist asked for divine debate intervention to shelter him from the 30 year politician and war hero!
Sarah Palin has become the all bark no bite pit bull, that will never be let of her leash in public.
How much longer will Americans fall for this shell game?
    Reasonable debate accommodations?
Palin is not a differently-abeled candidate requiring a wheelchair ramp or a companion dog to get to the podium. This is not a political leader, recovering from a serious health malady, needing time to heal before returning to the full demands of office. This is not a child, needing protection from media predators or the probing paparazzi.
    Hell No!
These unreasonable accommodations are being demanded and abused by the woman that could be President in a mere four months.
I don’t care about the bridge, or the plane, or the raise. I don’t want to hear another word about mavericks and reformers.
Screw the good old boys ntework!
    Shoot the NRA.
I want to hear about the USA!
No more gobbledygook about energy production and commanding the Alaskan National Guard from Ms. Palin!
I want her to explain the tribal differences in Iraq.
I want her to define our responsibility to the global community.
I want her to discuss Kazakhstan. Health care. Immigration. AIDS. Torture. Unemployment. Terry Schiavo.
Speak on women’s rights without mentioning that she played point guard in high school.
I want her to release her college transcripts. Her tax filings. Her health records.
John McCain can continue to hide her intellectual inadequacies behind a teleprompter until election day, but screaming debate foul, because she cannot stand up to the scrutiny that every other candidate has, is cowardly and condescending to the voters.
When did we decide that inexperience and ignorance is a protected disability?
Sarah, put up or shut up!
If you can hunt and kill and dress a wild moose, then have the guts to stand in front of a loaded camera and take it like a man!

I just realized something. According to Palin Logic, I have more qualifications to be the VP than Palin! Sadly and unfortunately, I was in close proximity, live in NYC, and witnessed The World Trade Center Disaster. Everyday I am watching for suspicious activity and sometimes am dealing with post traumatic stress from 9/11!

Save the world and vote OBAMA/BIDEN!
Also, this bail out plan is a FARCE and SHOULD NOT PASS! It will NOT help the American people and it is a disgrace. Give the money directly to the people! I just read part of the document – it is almost 120 pages – and it is a SHAM!
