Sarah…I know you are missing your campaign stylist and $30K a month makeup artist…here’s some fashion tips for you. Only wear opaque tights with a skirt a boots…NO ONE sports sheer hose in winter. Don’t match your top with your blush and lip gloss…you come across a little too peach. About the peach…it’s a little springy for the dead of winter….burgundy or charcoal would have worked better.

Hello? Anybody home…..nope. She paraded her children around the country, she put them on stage with her. She brought them into every americans living room, why should they be hands off now? Our new President elect brought his family on stage only a few times. His children were attending their own schools, while Obamah was out campaigning. They were not be dragged and paraded around the country for everyone to look at.
As a parent, I respect him for that. Poor Piper, she even commented in an interview, that it’s been hard for her to catch up with all of the school work she missed. Did those children even have a tutor with them while they were helping the Queen on the campaign trail? Oh, that’s right, it’s not about the kids, it’s all about Queen Sarah. We all know, education is not a high priority on her list.
I’d really like to know what makes her believe that Caroline Kennedy should NOT be treated differently in her campaign than SP was?? I mean COME ON..Caroline Kennedy is not running for VP! Kenndedy’s not running for a spot that could land her a heartbeat away from the presidency! OF COURSE she should be scrutinized differently! PUH- LEASE!

Sarah sounds very whiny & defensive. She’s offended by things that are true, but she doesn’t want people to know. Just when I was looking forward to the Inauguration & thought maybe Sarah had the good sense to keep that horrid mouth of hers shut for awhile… she goes on the offensive. And her distain for ANONYMOUS BLOGGERS….thanks Sarah you made my day. It’s so infrequent that you feel like you’re being heard. I’m even thinking of getting out of my pj’s so I can go out & celebrate.
Looking back on the Couric interviews, Palin said she knew things were not going well after their first session and asked the McCain campaign to pull the plug on the remaining sit downs but insisted the campaign made her go through with the rest.
“I knew it didn’t go well the first day, and then we gave her a couple of other segments after that. And my question to the campaign was, after it didn’t go well the first day, why were we going to go back for more?” she said. “Because of however it works in that upper echelon of power brokering in the media and with spokespersons, it was told to me that, yeah, we are going to go back for more. And going back for more was not a wise decision either.”
So now she blames the McCain People for making her do the interview? So it was not her fault the interview was horrible?
I thought she complained after the election was over that the McCain People did not let her do enough interviews!
So which one is it. They made me go to the interview or they did not let me do enough interviews.

I watched it as long as I could. What I got from it is she is saying at one point “…who is the mother of THIS child…?” referring to Trig. Do you call your own baby “this child?” I really don’t thnk this is how I would refer to my new baby.
Her children should be off limits when she so chooses and on limit when she needs them to benefit her goals. You can’t have it both ways. This woman was scary before and she’s scary now.
I survived the entire video. I don’t know what that says about me. That woman is still obsessed. Does she lie awake at night cursing Katie and Tina and the media and the bloggers? I’d say yes she does. I believe one of the best parts was her saying people would have loved her as Obama’s running mate. First, some reality. She wouldn’t even get on stage with pro-choice republicans yet she took the question seriously without saying she wouldn’t accept that position as Obama’s running mate? Come on. You spend months denigrating the man and then you say perkily (don’t laugh at my word), “They would have loved me and seen a wonderful side of the Palins.” Don’t make me barf you stupid ignorant nasty woman.

Note to videographers: watch out for “crossing the line.” It is disconcerting that the over-the-shoulder shot from behind the interviewer is from one side of the line between him and Palin, and the closeup is from the other side of this line.
Note to editors: it doesn’t help to keep showing essentially the same soundbyte over and over — whether within in the same video clip, or from the same person who’s been rambling on like this for months.
If you’re not careful, this documentary will be as successful as a future Palin bid for office; or as successful as FahrenHype 9/11, that “conservative” response to Michael Moore.
But good luck with the project, and I do hope Palin runs for president in 2012.

Have some balls, folks. Kinda like watching slaughter occasionally if you are going to eat meat. As the Alaska Standard title said, “Palin Unfiltered.” The voice and mannerisms are part of the package. I enjoy my disgust more by toughing out the real thing.
She knew she was trouble after the first Couric interview? I think most of America knew she was in trouble one minute into “Charlie’s” interview. Ah, “hows that Charlie”. Poor Charlie “buried in a blizzard of words”. Next interview “Joe the war correspondent”.

WOW..darn if it was’t for the MSM printing all that negative stuff about her, us it the lower 48 would really know how good of a job she has done. And if she had been picked to run on the Dem ticket (like that was going to happen) she feels like the MSM would have painted a “prettier picture”.
She’s working on her 2012 campaign– she’s already taking credit for “shrinking” Alaska’s government”– you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to know that Alaska’s government, or at least our budget, will get much smaller soon. Oil revenues, (not Palin), determine the size of our state government.
Notice Palin compared herself to Obama, not Biden. How presumptive. Biden was the vice presidential candidate. She doesn’t want her family mentioned, but with her own bragging rhetoric she practically painted a bullseye on her son serving in Iraq. Biden’s son is also serving, but Biden tried to keep the matter private for his son’s safety. McCain also avoided discussion of his son who’s serving. It almost seems like the only person willing to use the national news media to exploit her family (perhaps even to the point of endangering her child’s safety) for her own personal gain was Palin.
Maybe you can put lipstick on em, but you sure as hell can’t make silk purses.
I think the “they would have loved me” sums her up very nicely. She misses her beauty pagent days. Can you imagine the wry smile on Obama’s face at hearing that drivel about being his running mate. Let’s see, She wanted the media to look at her success as AK Gov, “Energy Queen”, got rid of corruption (hahahahaha), etc. If MSM, had looked (or someday will look) into her so-called successes(?), she would have been dumped from the National Scene. As it is, there are Palinistas out there who think she is really a good Gov and doing great “energy things”, “saving” AK, etc. They really need to be informed. Of course they will like this documentary because it will show SP’s problems are everyone else’s fault.
I sure hope that if the Legislature doesn’t impeach her, that the AK’s don’t re-elect her in 2010.
In all this whining about media treatment, she misses the point of rational evaluation. Media organisations might or might not approach a person with a certain amount of bias, but they start with the basis of what is actually known and verifiable about the subject, and what is clearly observed in interviews.
She complains about being portrayed as not intelligent? Then stop acting stupid.
The whole lipstick on a pig drama is ironic, because those particular sayings are exactly the issue here. You can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear – and no matter what a media organisation’s bias, they are still working with raw material which is little but dross.

This latest example of Sarah im-Palin’ herself currently leads the Politics section of the Huffington Post. She’s taking herself down single-handedly.
I haven’t watched a single minute of it. I was immediately thrown off by the website – howobamagotelected.com. Although I believe that McCain’s choice of Palin definitely threw some people off, I still think that Obama would have won even without her on the ticket. Yes, she is awful, but this election was not about Palin. That’s one point that she still hasn’t gotten past. It was about electing a leader that can hopefully take our country in a new direction. Some day in the future, her vanity will lead her to make a statement like, “I got the first African American President elected. I did it!”
On a side note, I was a road trip this past weekend. Somewhere between Dallas and Houston I passed a car with a Palin 2012 sticker. I am sure that there are more of these, but this was the first one that I personally saw.

Whats even scarier about this video, is it is connected to a right wing conservative project that attempts to show how Democratic voters were misinformed by a biased media. In separate interviews Democratic voters are asked a series of questions as they leave the polls about election issues. Most were clueless about simple questions, for example Who is Nancy Pelosi? Who controls Congress? No Republicans are shown being interviewed. According to the interviewers poll, Republicans knew the answers more than Democrats. They make Sarah Palin look as stupid as ever and they miss the larger point, conducting a negative campaign can and will blow up in your face. Basically, they blame the media for their loss.

Everything she claims she is a “victim” of comes from her own doing (parading her family out into the public eye during the whole campaign, not being able to express herself intelligently, not being able to string together a unique, intelligent thought instead of parroting, the list goes on). Do me a favor, when you watch it, count the “also’s”. I didn’t think to keep track until it was almost over, but they were abundant. Rather than sit through it again, will take myself out to the barn and clean stalls. Something very satisfying about throwing horsepuckey on the McCain/Palin sticker in the bottom of the wheelbarrow.
I watched the whole thing, I’m not sure why, also. She is soooo delusional if she thinks that it’s the fault of the media and the anonymous bloggers that made her look so . . . stupid. And wouldn’t you think that if she knew the interview went badly and she didn’t want to do another one that she would have had the sense to do a bit of research about some of the issues that Couric had already brought up? Yeah, it’s a class thing, as in something she ain’t got. Her whinging about class is about as real as her having assets well over a million $ and being just an ordinary “real Amreican”. Oh boy, I have several problems with this woman’s reasoning, but I will only address a couple of the issues that flooded my brain within the first minute of the interview, in this post. First, I find it interesting that SWWNBN dismisses bloggers as a source of news, while she claims, almost in the same breath, that the MSM is biased and untrustworthy. Where should one get their news?
Secondly – apparently, according to her, one should not make unsubstantiated allegations against someone unless and until they take that extra step to make sure what they are alleging is based in facts and truth. Should this not apply to her allegations against Obama about being a terrorist sympathizer and/or Marxist/Socialist? Does she have hard evidence to back up her allegations? (and Hannity’s America does not count as a reasonable news source) I didn’t think so. again, interesting rationale…
Also, too, though, she could have easily dispelled any rumors about Trig’s parentage by providing her medical records or a birth certificate for Trig. But she has still not done that…, again, interesting. This “documentary” is terribly misnamed. It should have been called “The World According to Sarah Palin”, not “How Obama Got Elected.”
I watched the whole thing. It was painful witnessing her mouth spew incoherent sentences and utter blatant falsehoods and hallucinatory delusions. Gawd!!! She’s such a walking GASH!

One interesting point was brought up in that interview. If she were Barack Obama’s running mate, I am sure Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity etc would have treated her with kid gloves. The same people who had to dig under rocks to find some tenuous relationship with Bill Ayres or latched on to the a Jeremiah Wright speech given when Obama was not even in attendence would never have brought up her education (5 colleges in 6 years). About being Palinized….I don’t know what state you live in but most states have a state Labor board. It does not cost to file a complaint. Also usually they only can get your job back but sometimes back wages.
It sounds like you were a victim of discrimination! And that is illegal. Call them, also check on the net…a lawyer might just take on your case, many times they will have you write a brief account of what happened and they might call you to discuss whether or not to take the case. If they take the case they may bill the other party. Usually they will do this if they think you have a case. You don’t know until you try. I’m sorry you were Palinized. If you were working in a large Company or have a union I would file a complaint. But call the labor board in your state. Good luck!
One final word from me about this Palin interview… she complains about bloggers as a source for hard news, but let’s just remind people that THIS VERY BLOG and a couple others were about TWO WEEKS AHEAD of the MSM in terms of hard news about Palin.
Had it not been for a very few Alaska-based blogs and the people who commented on them, very little about Sarah Palin would have been known. People across the country would have viewed her as a saint. But those opinions would have been formed in a vaccuum. I listened to the entire thing…….deliciously entertaining! You’d think this woman might have learned a thing or two about how to handle herself from her experience as a VP candidate. My fear was that she’d return to AK after the election and work on herself to become a serious future candidate. Did she think this would interview would help her? Doesn’t she get it that the MSM will continue to cover elections? Her fellow Repugs who are thinking about running in 2012 must love seeing her continuing to burrow herself into a deeper hole.
I predict some sort of bigger self destruction occurs before she even gets to run or re-run for any other political office.

I agree; this is an odd place to issue a response to reactions to her interview. (Which was an interview for a “documentary”, not a news source.) Because this is personal, I think her press secretary, or some other lackey, would read her statement. To have it come from an official AK government site…does SP think bloggers are attacking Alaska?
On another note- I watched the “interview” twice (I know; I’m either a glutton for punishment or derranged), and I noticed… nothing new. No changes in sound bites, phraseology, language, anything- nothing to suggest SP has learned from her experience, and is moving on- better to position herself to run in 2012. No introspection- She seems stuck in a time warp; even McCain made changes after he lost.
Did this occur to anyone else? Yes, she has her Team Sarah and her Palingroupies, but other young Republicans seem to be focusing on what will propel him/herself to the forefront, even the evangelicals like Jindahl are downplaying faith and emphasizing fiscal soundness, helping the poorer citizens.

That’s the press release on the AK govt. webpage. Wasn’t the interview that started this latest media coverage related to her failed VP campaign? And even though the press release doesn’t mention the campaign directly-it appears to be what triggered the release.
This is what it says if you want to send an email:

Since a response would most likely be about the failed campaign that would be breaking the law.

The press release has to be considered partisan political purposes, does it not? If so, it is against Alaska law. Do we have a lawyer in our midst who might comment? I googled the offices of governors from Illinois, New Mexico and Florida. There is absolutely nothing personal on any of these.
Isn’t that how Sarah got either the Gov. job or the mayor job, because she turned people in for doing the same thing. Isn’t she campaigning, she said on the video she would do it again?
SP’s exaggerated animation must indicate some kind of “quirky” anomaly. It is as difficult to watch her as her voice is to listen to, at least to me.
However, the most disturbing thing to me is the mismatch of her facial expressions to the subject at hand. Note in the interview how many times she displays a huge, open mouthed smile when the subject matter is something serious that calls for a somber expression to match the mood of the issue. Her reaction is abnormal with those mismatches.
Remember way back before they got the smirk and inappropriate smile and laugh groomed out of Bush? When he was sharing combat incidents of a very sad nature he would smirk and often land a short laugh with the shaking shoulders. It took his handlers a couple years to get him “trained.” I do not think Sarah is trainable.
So, Sarah – you wish we could all see your record in Alaska? Actually, we can. And it sucks. Abuse of power is a sign of dictatorship and is obviously of extreme concern. Maybe you should have lunch with Rod Blagojevich and discuss this. I don’t even know where else to start with this interview.

Do you notice how Obama just ignores his critics? He keeps his eye on the ball and doesn’t give the pissy poopers the time of day. If Palin had real leadership in her, she’d be more focused on her job and serving the people of Alaska (as she continues to claim to be interested in doing.) She is certainly not disciplined enough to lead our country through its current problems. Thank goodness we don’t have to worry about her right now.

I know where you’re coming from, B aka LBM. I was in a job where I had a fair amount of authority and responsibility, but my boss had her “favorites” and I wasn’t one of them. Long story short, I went through the same hell you did, but the “favorites” ended up in unfunded jobs eventually, and I ended up as an independent contractor doing work on the outside (and much happier).
It’ll take a long time to get over, but I’d advise you to move on (writing it up in a private journal, in great detail, helps).

Thanks for everyone’s nice comments. I’m pursuing various avenues to expose my Palinesque boss (rather like night of the living dead . . .) but it’s mostly a case of he saids, she said. He called in sick today . . . I don’t think he took SNL’s Hillary’s advise to “get a pair” seriously and couldn’t face seeing me in the extended meeting today, especially surrounded by my friends. Too bad. I was going to sit next to him and engage him in polite small talk. No kidding. Ah well. In the mean time, I’ll be moving, and my job prospects actually look better than what I’m leaving.
Unlike Palin, I can’t blame this all on others. I did make mistakes, and I allowed myself to be blindsided, even though I knew we wasn’t to be trusted.
Back to the “outerview” (out in space interview). Levi is 18. He hasn’t finished school and isn’t enrolled in school. That is the definition of a high school drop out. An adult who isn’t in school and hasn’t finished. Ditto Bristol. If she’s taking correspondence courses, there’s a good chance she can only get a GED. That, despite it’s name, ISN’T a high school diploma. Drop outs get GED’s. Now I know a lot of people that have gotten GED’s and done quite well and have good jobs. Some went to college. It’s not a bad thing. But it is what it is. A drop out is a drop out.
Anyone read “Ramona the Pest” by Beverly Cleary? Remember, she has trouble in kindergarten, stops going for a while, and the neighborhood kids tease her by yelling “kindergarten dropout” at her. That’s what I hear every time I see Palin’s claim that they aren’t.
Just to call on ghosts of presidents past, perhaps she can tell us what the definition of “is” is!
