Trouble in Sarahdise. It’s Melllllltinngggg!
“Meltdown”, “Implosion”, “Freak Out”…call it what you like, but the folks at ”maeT haraS” are not happy campers. You’ll have to read the name of the organization backwards. I do that to foil the Google alert or whatever other trigger might cause that particular brand of Palin devotee to come tramping through the Mudflats. They’ll make it here eventually, but they just make my “spam” finger tired.
Palin’s appointment of Morgan Christen to the Alaska Supreme Court is causing a huge rift among supporters. Christen, one of the two candidates Palin had to choose from, has what some consider to be a checkered past. She sat on the board of…..(scary organ chord)….Planned Parenthood. You know, the organization that all the unwed teen mothers in Alaska didn’t visit for contraception education or family planning advice.
Here’s the official statement from TS:
Like many pro-life Americans across the country, we were disappointed to learn that Alaska Governor Sarah Palin chose a former Planned Parenthood board member to serve on the Alaska State Supreme Court. We understand Alaska’s unique selection process limited her choices, and that in this case, she was limited to two bad choices.
We know that Governor Palin is pro-life. In addition to her personal pro-life witness, she counts pro-life suffragette Susan B. Anthony among her heroes. That said, we assume this was a very difficult decision for her, but we wish she would have made a different one.
This choice of Morgan Christen to serve on Alaska’s Supreme Court may very well create a tough situation for Palin down the road. The long-term difficulty that she may be faced with is a Supreme Court decision that undercuts her own support for Alaska’s parental notice measure. That result would be a very disappointing outcome for Alaska parents.
Well, the two camps that Palin appeals to most, the evangelical right-to-life group, and the gun lovin’ neo-con naughty librarian fan club, are having a little spat. It’s kind of like a perfect little microcosm of the Republican party as a whole. The only “base” the party seems to have left are the neo-conservatives, and the Christian evangelicals. The moderate cloth-coat sensible Republicans of yore, are now either wandering the desert looking at the sky, or have realized that the Democratic party actually has some pretty good ideas.
In any case, the argument on TS goes something like this:
Member 1: I don’t understand! WHY did Sarah pick that awful woman to sit on the Alaska Supreme Court?? She served on the board of Planned Parenthood for crying out loud!
Member 2: Relax. It’s not the end of the world.
Member 1: YES IT IS! IT IS the end of the world! I’m rethinking what I’m even doing here. She had a choice of two picks and she chose the one who doesn’t value LIFE!! Is everything I believed about her wrong? There is no excuse for this. If she really believed like I do, she would have protested this! Is she a Manchurian candidate? I’ve been eating chocolate in the tub, and sobbing uncontrollably since I heard! AAA!
Member 2: Why are you so upset? Either choice was bad for conservatives. She’s got other good qualities you know…
Member 1: Yeah, like WHAT?
Member 2: Well….. there’s. Well, sometimes she appears to be a fiscal conservative! And….. she’s got spunk. And she looks good in a skirt. And she loves guns. And oil. I don’t understand why you guys are so upset. And you’re seriously going to leave the group over this one thing?
Hello?
Hello?
Crap.

I got my hard-hat on: Let the implosion begin!
Second time today I get to post this -http://www.salon.com/mwt/feature/2009/03/14/joyce_quiverfull/
Laughing hysterically. How true. It is a microcosm of the GOP’s difficulties. Even funnier, I don’t think they’ll be getting over it any time soon.
Perhaps this is the dawning of realization for ”maeT haraS”: It’s about money and power for GINO. Period.
Pass the popcorn please……
This is going to be interesting watching gino try and explain to her base, that she is maturing as a politician, and seeks the more moderate popular vote of the democrats.
Gino is not having a good week. I think she is going to snap/melt. I wish I was a fly on her office/ home wall and able to watch.
She couldn’t find one of those “buds” from Wasilla High ?
Oh my, the world has ended — for GINO at least.
ahem – I’m a moderate Democratic voter and the Mothership will come and pick up sarah for experimentation somewhere else before I would cast a ballot for her. As a matter of fact , excuse me while I go to the bathroom and cast my ballot now.

ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME!!!!
I just made a peace of crispy PB&J toast, came back to the computer and took a big bite, I was at the swallowing part of my snack, when I read your posting……… guess what happened!!!
Tee Hee! Let the back pedaling begin! I love it!
She had to choose between pro-choice and pro-conservation. I think it will be interesting to see what conservation issues come up and how Christen will vote. I think she (GINO) shot herself in the foot on this one.
Not only are they angry, but they are airing their dirty laundry at the c 4 p site in the comments section. You have to scroll down quite a bit to get to the post that was most inundated, but those con “intellectuals” have little mercy for the shrinking meaT haraS violets. They call it a ‘Headscratcher” in the post, but it’s the comments where things get fun.
Gino just keeps on giving. Dont you just luv it? You betcha!!!
Here’s interesting information:
Morgan Christan was the judge who ruled in the Wooten/McCann custody hearing. It was a 60/40 split in favor of Molly McCann. Wooten is not happy with the ruling and is going back to court. But what judge would overturn a ruling made by a new Supreme Court Justice?
Savvy, no?
For more info, go to the AK Courts website and dig around, or google Christan+Wooten+McCann.
Quite interesting…. Thanks ATF! AKM
I’m thinking of the Mastercard commercial……

Wait…….I wasn’t ready!
Christan appointed? Priceless.
But ATF, more of GINO’s cronies appointed to high office?
team Alaska – Feel better now ?? I sure do !!
Morgan Christan is completely on the up and up. No way would she be considered a crony of Governor Snowflake.
All the attorneys in town have nothing but really wonderful things to say about Judge Christan. She is honest and ethical.
I just found it interesting that after one judge( Sedwick or Suddock) told Sarah to stay out of her sister’s court proceedings or face legal consequences, Sarah still managed to find a way to insert herself into the battle after the fact.
Think about it. What judge will overturn a Supreme Court Justice’s earlier ruling? I think there’s some sort of hierarchy procedure that makes attorneys and judges to defer to the SCJs.
I underestimated Sarah.

—————-
One with integrity, if the original ruling was flawed. It happens all the time.
Besides, what Wooten is likely asking for is a variation of the terms of the order, not to have it overturned. Also happens all the time, especially as children get older and family circumstances change.
AKM,
I hope that this doesn’t sound awful, but you should get sick more often, you have been on a blitz since your recovery!!
….waiting for Gryphen’s head-exploding post too, also.
I think there’s some sort of hierarchy procedure that makes attorneys and judges to defer to the SCJs.
————
Yes, it’s called binding precedent, but it only applies to the rulings they make as SCJs.
ATF………………wow, can you imagine the implications of that. Just wait if and when that comes out and watch the sparks fly, because of the bias.
Yes, life is getting confusing for the Palin supporters. And wait till the REAL sportsman and hunters get a load of the Board of Game policies. I think it will rankle their sense of good practices, though these ripples may happen below the surface, they will have some impact, I do believe.
@the problem child
This town is so small. Gossip has been flowing steadily since Sarah named Morgan Christan as SCJ. I know nothing firsthand, I was just asked to consider the fact that even though Judge Christan applied for the position and is one of the most respected judges in town, this appointment just seemed so out of character for Sarah. Most of Sarah’s other appointees were WHS buddies, which lead many of us to the conclusion that qualifications were secondary to Sarah. People were looking for a reason or a connection, and this is what came up. Your comments lead me to believe you are familar with the court system, so you would know how highly respected Morgan Christan is in that community. After Sarah appointed former WHS buddy Joe Schmidt as number 3 in line for the governorship, her decision making skills seemed less credible. Choosing Judge Christan as SCJ was a complete surprise.
Looking at the docket information, I’m pretty sure the divorce proceedings were determined in Judge Suddock’s courtroom, not Judge Christens. See, for instance: http://www.truthout.org/article/long-standing-feud-alaska-embroils-palin
I have a question here. I saw that phrase “pro-life suffragette Susan B. Anthony” above, and kind of went, “Huh?” Is there background for this? Because on the face of it it seems a little bit like saying that Martha Washington was a safe driver because she never went more than 15 miles per hour. Was pro-life an issue in Anthony’s day? My understanding is that medical science was such that hospitals were avoided like pesthouses at the time for the very good reason that they were, well, pesthouses. Correct me if I’m wrong, I didn’t think safe abortions were available. I guess what I’m asking is, “Is it fair to call Susan B. Anthony a ‘pro-lifer’ when medical, social, and cultural conditions were so very, very different in her day? Isn’t it a tad odd to be presuming one can interpret Anthony’s purported views, if any were expressed, in terms that have only really become relevant in the last half-century?” I’m asking here–I’m not an Anthony scholar. If somewhere the Divine Miss A. did indeed say, “Leave the coat-hangers alone girls–that bump under your corset is a baby from the time your significant other sighs and rolls off of you. God says you should just let nature take its course,” I’m happy to know that. This is a question, not snarking.
@ ATF — Yup, I haveread my fair share of dockets. And everything I have seen about Judge Christen is positive! (I’m not an Alaskan lawyer, though).
It’s great when a judge with a great reputation among lawyers gets promoted. A great reputation among lawyers usually means that the person is fairminded and writes good, well-reasoned decisions, and treats people impartially. Sometimes GINO can’t help but be forced into making a good decision. Too bad it doesn’t happen more often.
What a shame that ‘Maet Haras’ turned of the view feature on their live chat a week or so ago. This would have been a joy to behold. I haven’t got the stomach or the bottle to actually try to join do that.
A good leader should not be “forced” into making good decisions.
yes, and now Gov Palin is having to jump through the hoops, HA, she so has that coming.

Palin says yes to stimulus money limits
The Associated Press

JUNEAU — Gov. Sarah Palin has signed a formal agreement with the U.S. Department of Transportation that says the state will not use federal economic stimulus money to replace state funding of projects in Alaska.
The federal money is supposed to be used to generate new jobs to boost the country’s sagging economy.
The certification is one of myriad requirements the state must meet to obtain its share of the federal package, which is expected to generate about $800 million for Alaska.
The governor also signed an agreement with the Department of Labor that will pump an extra $25 into residents’ weekly unemployment insurance checks for the rest of the year.
Re: Susan B. Anthony, pro-lifer? Just found an intriguing article that says basically the same thing I was wondering about–that the culture, issues and options surrounding the subject of abortion were so very different in Anthony’s day that it’s really pointless to assign her a position in the pro-life/pro-choice debate. If anyone’s interested here’s the link: http://amywelborn.typepad.com/openbook/2006/10/susan_b_anthony.html
It’s really sad when divorce happens to a family. When the battle over money and children becomes vicious, it’s the children who suffer. The marriage was between two people, but the divorce seems to include a cast of so many more.
I’m sure there have been more bitter endings than what Mike and Molly experienced, but the public record of thier divorce is by far the most publicized I’ve ever seen. Sarah acted like a big sister trying to help and protect her younger sibling, but she did it using her position as Mayor of Wasilla and then as Governor of Alaska. That’s what bothers me. My fear is that she knows no boundaries and will do what she can to circumvent the system in order to help Molly. Sarah’s world is vastly different from mine.

It’s funny that you wondered about that because I immediately thought the exact same thing. I’ve never heard anything relating Susan B. Anthony’s work to a pro-life movement. I tried Googling, but I didn’t come across anything. I would be inclined to say that it wasn’t even an issue during her lifetime – I think she died around 1906.
BodieP,
Thanks for the follow-up post. Interesting read.
Check out the link I found above–it was quite interesting. Basically it affirms our suspicions that assigning Anthony a position is pointless because of the very reasons we thought–conditions were so very different that it’s really impossible to say. The article DOES point out that Anthony WAS against excessive child-bearing (there’s some great quotes in there).
I do LOVE the internet (sorry, TexasBrian, our posts crossed).
I was able to find this article on Susan B. Anthony that sets out the state of the research. http://www.womensenews.org/article.cfm/dyn/aid/2915/context/archive
And guess what — I’m pretty sure any qualms she might have had did not come from fervent xtian beliefs.
I distrust those people who know so well what God wants them to do, because I notice it always coincides with their own desires.

Yes, I spent the morning on C4P, and even among the solidly pro-GINO sorts, the Maet Haras were considered to be pretty much a “one-trick pony” site.
One comment said that no new members were allowed to sign up, and that even long-time members were being banned for civilly – worded disagreements. Another comment pleaded with the current members to not resign from the site, over the appointment, and that there were only “a handful” of “active” members.
I shake my head in pity at these people. When will they see the selfish, deceitful woman behind the smiling mask?
BodieP and TexasBrian,
My impression of Anthony was she was more against sex between a man and a woman because of the inherent costs. I’m sure she would be totally delighted with birth control that worked. Pregnancy made women chattel. The anti-female people are deluded.
Thanks, Problem Child–Looks to me like this is yet another case where something is being spun for credibility. Everything I’ve found (and the others who posted here as well found) indicates that given the culture gap there’s simply no way of knowing Anthony’s views. Too bad for the pro-lifers–they lose a powerful endorsement.
Looks like Bill McAllister is blowing hot air again!

She seems to be having a bit of trouble with that Senate appointment, also…????
Here is a good article from today showing what an angry a$$ Bill McAllister is, as he tries to defend Palin’s earmarks:

Geez, those TS folks are serious about security! I just hope they let me join!
LOVED the question, “How many friends are you going to sign up for this site?” I put “none.” I hope that doesn’t disqualify me! (clasps hands under chin and looks soulfully upward) Course, I also put my phone number from three years ago (it was required, and I really DON’T want phone calls from that crew.)
Dear Sarah
Just a kind word of advice.
To be a successful politician:
Before you begin painting youself into an ideological corner, you reeeeally should make sure your backing toward an open door.
Oh, just another quick point. It’s reeeeally helpful if most of your own party is trapped in there with you behind the wet paint.
If that doens’t work for you, then I suggest you have a reeeeeally rich power dad who can save you butt over and over again.
With kindest regards.

@Lori in Los Angeles (15:47:03) :
I just came back to post the abc article. It is hilarious! She truly is melting.
My favorite part:
“Alarmed, I asked McAllister how Palin was “literally” injured. Was she okay? Was she infirm?
“I didn’t say physically injured,” he wrote back. “Certainly her reputation was injured by the erroneous reporting.”
Ah.”
BodieP – seriously , a phone # ?? Dang – that sounds PARANOID to me. Who wants a 3am phone call from todd or his creepy little buddies in the AIP. Way to go on goosin’ em’ with the old # !!
Never let the truth injure your reputation……..sheesh , just where is the bottom for these idiots ??
Oh and this fabulous zinger:
“The headline doesn’t seem very dignified for a major news organization,” said the spokesman for the governor who repeatedly referred to then-Senator, now-President Obama as “palling around with terrorists.
BodieP… A while ago I forced myself to fill out that TS sign-up profile. For what do I like best about Sarah, I put her honesty. heh. Couldn’t help myself. And I gave a fake phone. They didn’t let me in. I think the phone is their way of checking on you, so unless it is a current real phone number, no go. But let me know if you get in, since non-members can’t get past the first paragraph on the home page. All roads lead to the sign-up.
I suspect the phone # is for reverse look-up confirmation. I hope it matches the fake name you gave them
Team Mata Hari seams to be just a social networking site for a few rabid so-called evangelicals who spend their time in chat acting immature, flirting, talking about have a few drinks, and otherwise wasting their time.Very little mention is made in chat about GINO ,except things like “Shes great !! Shes awesome!! I love her!!”No real intelligent discourse or discussion happens. The forums are filled with messages from posters who don’t seem to know how to “do the Google”,they are so void of facts.
C4P is also rife with messages containing no or erroneous facts. Lately there was a message exhorting members to go to ADN and “support Sarah “.One member posted that she was about to register for the 6th time,to make multiple posts supporting GINO at ADN.
Yes,I took the plunge and went undercover. We will see how long I can hold my tongue and keep my cover!! One thing I have seen is that when someone posts actual facts and figures and sources, instead of learning from them or rejecting them, the members actually spin them to have a totally differnt meaning that is Pro-GINO .
Both sites are more like highschool cliques than anything else.
Marnie – now remember , sarah expects doors to open right up……….
oh my ya’ll, I just spit coke and cookie all over my computer… A commercial come on it was from GE about finding alternatives to energy being eco friendly it was of the scare crow from the Oz dancing on powerlines, too funny, it must be a sign
Several months ago, I listened to a social anthropologist discuss American politics and the increasing divide between elements of the electorate. He described a sort of “tribalism” that is taking place. Essentially, members of the diverse “tribes” will only talk or listen to others within their tribe. They hear something and then repeat what they hear until it becomes dogma, It is never questioned, researched, or cross-checked for accuracy. They willfully ignore any points of view or evidence if it conflicts with their dogma.
Anyhow….this is what I see taking place in TribeSarah. For example, we all are acutely aware of the reality of Palin’s NON-response to the rural crisis for weeks on end. In fact, one week before her vaunted trip to Russian Mission with Frankin Graham and Mr. Prevo, she was directly questioned by a reporter about her “personal” response to the crisis. She was uncomfortable and defensive and had nothing of import to say on this issue even though the crisis was now over a month old and had made it to MSM.
BUT…if you read the glowing report on SarahPAC about Palin’s “Tour” of Western Alaska and all she has done, you would never realize that the report is glossed-over lies.
TribeSarah takes Palin’s version of the events of “The Grand Tour” and it becomes dogma……and reality in the tribe’s universe. It will proudly go into her next fake biography as fact. It will be trotted out by TribeSarah as evidence of Palin’s exceptional success as governor. And so it goes….
The only thing that seems to make a difference is to keep going after Palin herself. She’s her own worst enemy and there’s nowhere to hide anymore. She doesn’t just have political enemies in her cozy little state of 650,000 anymore…..they’re all over the country of 350 million.

On the other hand, it says something nice about me if I DON’T make it–like when I didn’t make the jury cut in the wife-beater’s trial. The defense felt I was poisoning the jury pool (a little informed response tends to do that sometimes).
BodieP – They are in a booth at Dennys. Let ‘em chow down and go over your app. Hang tuff !!
On the Susan B. Anthony thing.
My knowledge is scant, however the anti-abortion laws passed at the end of the 1800′s, which continuted pretty much unchanged, I think till Roe vs. Wade, were health laws passed to protect the health of women, because abortion was so risky.
This concept of having a constitutional right to be born is from the 60′s and has always been purely political.
I don’t discount that was men with all their hangups about controling women in the late 1800′s, but
in that context, of safer medical care, better health, Anthony may very well have been working to make abortion less risky by going after back ally clinics.
I’m just guessing but it would make sense that way???
One of my FAVORITE TS morons is the one running around to all the Alaskan newspapers calling everyone…wait… this is really insulting…cover your eyes… put your children in another room so they can’t see…
“You are all ACORN Trolls! Bad ACORN Trolls! blah blah, more blah blah, none of which makes sense. Nothing in this TS idiot’s post makes sense – except that they seem to be the uber-physchic and telling everyone else what they think they think, and why they think they think it.
Yes, I know – it gives one just a burning pain jab between the eyes – not from the HORRIBLE insult but from the stupidity of the person doing the insulting. I would just go put myself on an ice floe if I had to live my life inside that kind of a damaged (poorly formed?) brain.
I’ll hang tuff austintx, but it’s hard…so hard…no word yet. Guess maybe they got the Grand Slam meal and it’s taking a while. Maybe I’ll call Denny’s and check in. Just let them know I’m waiting.
Meltdown at Team Sarah? Meh, not so much. A lot of the people are more about enthusiasm than policy and something like this is unlikely to sway them. From what I hear the founders of that site got over their mad and took down their criticism anyway.
The real measure will probably be the first-quarter fundraising results of SarahPAC. If the numbers are weak, Palin is probably done on the national level. If she raises significant cash, the GOP pundits will see which way the wind is blowing and some will be swinging her way.
UK Lady – Why thank you very much for your concern !! I flushed……..er……I mean pulled the lever 3 times to make sure the “ballot” reaches sarah no matter WHERE she may be !!

BodieP et al I, also thought the pro-life tag given to Susan B. Anthony was flawed. Found this on Wikipedia in their entry on her.
“The main thrust of The Revolution was to promote women’s and African-Americans’ right to suffrage, but it also discussed issues of equal pay for equal work, more liberal divorce laws, the church’s position on women’s issues and abortion, which she opposed.”
At first I read it as she was opposed to abortion, but it was the church’s position on abortion she opposed. See how Gino’s supporters warp things?
austintx
You’re just yankin’ my chain now, aren’t you.
You called it, AKM, she really is melting.
Bless your heart, Sarah, I’ve told you again and again “SHUT THE F— UP! And shut all ‘your family and people’ up. Just pretend, honey- we all know you’re good at that, just pretend to be the Governor.”
I love you guys, and I am so sorry that she is your Gov. I confess I hope that maybe y’all feel just a little bit sorry for me since Sonny’s mine. But I have to say, GINO and the GOPs are really starting to bore the hell out of me. It’s like the same ole’ song, different key. And I’m not the only one tired of the repetition.
VidOmnia – Where do you feel the bar should be set on fund raising ?? Romney spent 40 mil. of his OWN money in the primaries. Sarah is a show horse in a long , very costly race. The smart , really BIG money is gonna be bet on the horse that can go the distance. It ain’t sarah.
When do SarahPac have to declare their income, anyone know?

It’s an ambiguous sentence, apparently based on ambiguous data. Who the h*ll knows what SBA thought? She lived in a different world!

Your first paragraph reflects my previous post about TribeSarah.
Your second paragraph is a resonable assessment on the short term. Long way to go, though, until 2012.

That is a very thoughtful post, thank you, re: the tribe mentality developing. It’s hard to have pity on these people who won’t use their brains and parrot, parrot parrot – not even having the slightest inkling at how hollow and weird they sound. But this tribal mentality – where does it come from? Is their world so narrow that this is the only survival mechanism their type can come up with? They are a younger crowd at TS, pretty immature and not well educated it seems – is this what happens when the church is not enough? The tribal group must be expanded to validate their beliefs?
How can they NOT know that regular conversation, some pondering, a good amount of reading, asking lots of questions, or observing others is a better way to be part of a bigger entity? How can they truly believe that anyone outside their narrow scope of beliefs will never join them, or believe them, respect them, or even listen?
I have said often in the past months that as I watch T S gallivant around the Alaskan newspapers, revealing their limited mental resources, that even SP herself will eventually realize the damage they are doing to any moderate or undecided voters. I believe that most moderates and undecideds really DO want to be convinced one way or the other – I experienced this in working for Obama’s campaign to a surprising (for me) degree. Groups like T S only widen the gap and scare people away from their idol. The T Ss love to tout their numbers, pounding their chests like playground bullies, but we ALL see it for what it really is – zealotry / fanaticism / and now tribal behaviour.
They will never be able to open a dialogue with anyone who has different views. Hence their numbers will never be of import – they don’t grow in numbers, but rather they gather their numbers in one place and think it’s the same thing. Some day, when I’m rid of SP for good, I might even find the time to devote to trying to understand this strange phenomena. Right now I don’t care because they are nothing but flies buzzing around while one is trying to get something done, but maybe some day I will care or be curious just a little. Because I really do love humanity.
I love those overhead toilet tanks. It just seems so FINAL when you pull that chain (unless it comes off in your hand as it did for me once in a hostel).
New post.
looks like gino has her work cut out for her:
murkowski is a new powerhouse in the senate:

Outstanding observations, Martha. So true.
Sarah Palin might like Susan B. Anthony, but I doubt Susan B. would like Sarah Palin.
@Bodie…dong feel bad about TS not letting you in. I think a previous poster is correct in that it is a clique. Two of them actually. One …a group of mean stupid girls who no nothing about politics or even real life…and two..guys that I often imagine sitting with thier hands down the front of their trousers everytime they think of GINO. Revolting isnt it?
I joined when they first started just a lark and because I was nosy and perhaps a bit of a sucker for punishment. I never posted except for one time that some fool said something so stupid I wanted to smack her upside her head. I gave a polite, respectful but truthful reponse…and they immediatedly booted my account. These people are cowards…remember that. They dont have the mental ability or the courage discuss a subject….you are expected to be a sheeple….and not a people.
Be glad you arent part of that.
good, good, good…my hands clapping furiously…adding that I will never believe anything that palin says she stands for, b/c she lies like the devil that she is.
Lainey, Lies like a cheap rug, we say around here.
so have you guys ever wordled? rather cool! look what I created with words of admiration for our new President.

What is C4P?
Ever since I read the comment made from sombody from Wallisa about someone that challenged Sara and told tthis person they better move I would never belong to any site that promoted Palin or her familyx.I may not have liked what Wooten did but that gave the Palins no reason to stalk him and as I read even the judge said they should leave the man alone
@ BodieP (14:33:15)
Thanks, that was a very thought provoking post! Looking forward to reading the link you came up with, once it loads for me.
I have been a member of TS for a about two months now and have not been thrown off ….yet. (when I do I will reveal my ID there – it is so fake and so obvious most any idiot could figure out the TV character name) However, I did get an email asking me to update my profile so it could be soon. The email said they “randomly” ask for a profile update but I suspect they are on to me, as I can’t always bite my tongue. Sometimes I respond but don’t post (I imagine I am sitting at a vintage typewriter with a return bar as I type type type and hit the return HARD) but alas, I usually don’t hit post.
One of the many entertaining things about TS, aside from the really bad spelling, is how they keep posting the same thing over and over – as if they the first one to get the “news”??? And how quickly a blog will be taken down if it is any way negative against there beloved or any of the other TS heroes such as Rush or Ann. And most of the comments are as you said; a lot of “I love Sarah” “Go Sarah” and notes as if they are writing directly to her….like they think she is running the site and gets on there and reads all the love notes they leave.
Watching them eating each other alive the other day regarding the SCJ was by far the most entertaining.
I’ll see how much longer I can last before I open my mouth and go koo koo krazy!
Good luck with your continued tongue-biting, K8KZ. And you can always post your rants (giving us some context, of course) over here.

Sorry, trouble posting. Oh well, I guess it bore saying twice.
Pro-Life? The woman who wants to bring back the death penalty in Alaska calls herself pro-life?
“We demand that woman shall be given the means to assert herself, regardless of whether she ever uses it or not,” pretty much qualified as Anthony’s theme song.
Above all, the drillmaster of the suffrage movement had no patience when it came to dogma. She won few points for her free thinking but forged ahead all the same: “I distrust those people who know so well what God wants them to do, because I notice it always coincides with their own desires.” She cast her vote always for tolerance, acting from a simple conviction: “For a people is only as great, as free, as lofty, as advanced as its women are free, noble and progressive.”

I know Susan B. Anthony, and you my dear GINO ‘is no’ Susan B. Anthony!
YES pro-life as in rePROduction Rights….thats as far as GINO goes with that ‘kinda stuff…
@ATF
Morgan Christen has up to very recently been involved in the Wooten divorce proceedings. It would be interesting to find out if the rulings she has made have been disputed/embraced by the Palin family.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
03/02/2009 Hearing Result: Hearing Vacated The following event: Evidentiary Hearing: Superior Court scheduled for 04/20/2009 at 8:30 am has been resulted as follows: Result: Hearing Vacated Judge: Christen, Morgan Location: Courtroom 404, Nesbett Courthouse
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
IF the result of this appointment be that Morgan Christen is no longer involved in this divorce….was THAT the end goal that Sarah achieves with the appointment?
Did she sell out her party and pro-life base to try to influence the outcome of her baby sister’s ugly divorce?
Big Slick, I don’t think that makes much sense, because as far as I know there are only two judges in Palmer court and the other one (Stoddart?) is the one who criticised GINO so badly for trying to deprive Wooten of his livelihood.
There’s no guarantee that a replacement judge would be assigned to handle the case over the other one. In fact, the chief justice would probably assign it to the other, not to the newbie (on the assumption that a new judge should only have to handle so much BS while they are getting their feet wet). Unless the chief justice is a real hardass.
Just my opinion based on what I know about how courts systems work.
Like most people here, I’m fascinated by SP in a morbid sort of way, and the distressing phenomenon that someone like her ended up on a major party ticket. But isn’t it being a bit obsessive to try to get into her supporters’ little online clubs to spy on them?
If you’re looking for information to use against her, you’re not likely to find it discussed in such places. If SP’s supporters say absurd things among themselves, SP can’t be held responsible; having dimwitted or deluded supporters isn’t an indictable offense. True, you are causing them to waste time trying to spot you and keep you out, but wasting your own time trying to get in. You’re also helping them take themselves too seriously by playing the “enemy” that’s “out to get them.”
If you’re trying to get in in order to enlighten them, that attempt will blow your cover. They have a closed organization precisely because they don’t want to encounter those who disagree with them. So, to be blunt, what’s the point? Aren’t you using SP’s and her supporters’ adolescent immaturity as a pretext to play childish games yourselves?
Chaim, I think you are making good points. But the fact remains that any closed door will be seen as a challenge by some. And some of us really want to reassure ourselves that the threat really is as small (and small-minded and poorly organized) as we suspect it is.
My own attempt to join didn’t result in success, probably because I was not stridently pro-choice or pro-SP enough in my application. That also tells me something about the organization and the level of serious attention that should be paid to it. (cruddy and next to none).
That said, I believe that their membership is greatly inflated by the number of shadow members they have, both pro and anti.
Again, thanks for your thoughtful comment.
Chaim you do make a great point and I must admit I am one of the obsessed ones but I do it for “entertainment purposes only”. I work from home and my husband goes to bed about two hours earlier than I do so I have plenty of time on my hands! I do not try to enlighten them but I am most intrigued by type of people who support SP. It is a fascinating study in religion and extremests in general. It is like being the proverbial fly on the wall.
BLOG: “Does anyone have a nagging hunch that Meghan McCain was ONE of the people who “leaked” information about Governor Palin and her family, both during and after the campaign?”
COMMENT: “Megan may of bein very jelous about the only person who generated the levels of intensity exietment and had in Florida crowds that exeeded 60,000 in one place ,in the outskirts poorly advertised on a colledge high school football afternoon,i noticed they got so jelous Mccain timed his tv rallys to appear at the same time as Sarahs instead of at different times,so we had to watch him speak not her on tv,they costantly put her back at his hip, giving that same booring hail Mccain speach before his same every day unchangeing speach,so ya jelous is a word that comes to mind , was Meagan the annonomous source that leaked the Africa nonsense every fifth grader knows? its highly possible but i think she had help that nicole wallace woman i think was in on it with her,to me in my humble opinion there was a constant campaine ongoing in the gop to discredit Sarah,i believe they fear her as much as the dems if not more so, Sarah represents the people not the establishment, they fear theyre fadeing into the back ground and will become mediocre socialites that have lost theyre way and influence, well they have lost it Sarahs going to take the gop back to victory and back to power, theyre paybacks comming for the crap they played on her last election.”
Now c’mon, doesn’t that make you want more?
