Regarding ADN being pro-Palin…I may be wrong, but I think ADN endorsed Obama/Biden. I think that was the one….

I have a simple question..Why can’t some buy a half-page ad in the ADN with a real simple message/ question.
” Why is our Governor calling Voters in Iowa? ” (BIG bold letters)
It would make people investigate what the story is all about… if they didn’t know already. Would ADN let somebody buy an Ad like that..?

Hey, Mudflatters….Slightly OT…..Help with a mini rally for Regina over at palingates.blogspot.com/
She has the the interesting juxtaposition of PO’s quip on Leno’s show and Palin’s truly ghastly and inappropriate radio interview. Also, a very interesting post about Palin’s Personnel Board.
Regina writes beautifully researched and written blogs but she’s almost ready to give up.
When things are slow on the Flats…..check out Regina. Rally. Rally. Don’t want to lose a great anti-Palin voice!

Moose Pucky – Super “Angel” AKM will deliver the goods. Always has , always will. Above AKM is no other. I wish she would open a boot camp.

Someone earlier today had posted a story (on the HuffPo )from last August where Sarah paid almost 1 Million dollars of State funds to the Mat Maid Dairy…. and then it closed. With that huge amount of waste… why has there never been a Federal Attorney General Inquiry (not a Friend of Palin’s ) into these shenanigans. Was it reported in the News..? Here’s the link.

OT but I just thought of this. I remember reading where some religious group financed legal help in the Palin ethics investigation, but I don’t see that on her financial disclosure form.

http://www.ktuu.com/ link to the kttu poll re Palin setting up a defense fund, needs your vote. Unfortunately, the “yes” votes are way ahead. I think she should pay her OWN legal fees. Poll is on left, scroll down just a bit to find it.
Today’s rally is also covered.

Helen(15:47:12) :
Thank you thank you thank you Alaskan protesters! You stand for thousands and thousands and hundreds of thousands of people that can’t be there physically but are with you in spirit.
………………………………………………………………..

Interesting that the lead photo at KTTU reads “SCREW ALASKA” omits the “ITS ALL ABOUT ME”
March 21st, 2009 at 6:40 PM
The video and story of the rally is up on KTUU website now.
WELL DONE MUDFLATTERS!
I get the feeling that things are going to snowball – now people are seeing GINO dissent, more and more people are going to lose their fear about speaking up.
Your dam has cracks in it GINO – and far too many for your fingers to plug. Buh bye “Reign of Pain”.

Nice way to welcome spring!
Here’s another thing to celebrate:
http://www.alaskadispatch.com/palin-watch/10-palin-watch/1043-palin-critic-runner-up-for-alaska-journalism-award
FROM THE ALASKA PRESS CLUB: A stay-at-home mom from Wasilla whose email information about Alaska’s governor took on an Internet life of its own during last year’s presidential campaign has won a “Special Recognition” award from the Alaska Press Club.
Anne Kilkenny, 60, is the runner-up to this year’s Howard Rock/Tom Snapp First Amendment Award, which the Press Club describes as recognizing “Alaskans who demonstrate exemplary advancement of First Amendment values.” Surely you remember Kilkenny, the woman who wrote that widely distributed, highly critical email of Palin during the presidential election.
John Creed, president of the Alaska Press Club, says:
“Anne Kilkenny might not think she was courageous, but she willingly shared information that helped Americans make one of our most important political decisions-election of our president and vice president-without fear of personal consequences to her or her family. That’s the First Amendment in action.”

Isn’t ‘Dairygate’ one of the stories over on Palingates? I like her blog.
And bigdayqueen – I believe you are right, I remember something about that too. Like Focus on the Family in maybe Texas? Hmmm…

new post

The same Focus on Family that James Dobson just stepped down from. The same James Dobson who hand picked Sarah and told McCain that would be the only way the Christian Right would come on board. Scientologists – witch doctor – far right – AIP……….what a clusterf^*k !!!

Re: KTUU coverage of Palin.
Is it just me, or does KTUU seem to be a liiiitle on the conservative, pro-Palin side? I know they had coverage of the demonstration, but it just seems to me like more often than not, they don’t seem as critical as they need to be when covering Sarah. Plus, and I’ll just call this speculation, but I’m guessing the main constituency of KTUU is overwhelmingly conservative, hence the pro-Palin ‘bias’ in their poll results. I dunno, just a theory.
As for ADN, yeah I think they are overwhelmingly Obama, but let’s face it, Palin sells papers, and in this day and age they can hardly afford to ‘piss off’ or otherwise alienate the Palin constituency. The more Palin coverage they can squeeze in, (preferably positive from their point of view), the better for them on the profit side.
Also, consider this. When they first came out with the news that Palin rejected stimulus money, they said she had rejected about 45% of it. Cut to about three hours later, and lo and behold the amount she rejected had magically gone down to ‘more than 30%’. Mind you this was after many, many angry people posted on the original 45% posting. I guess my point is, (and I’m sure this is no news to anyone here), that the Palin camp is very intent on controlling their message, even if it is on an external site). They are probably very aware of the symbiotic relationship the ADN has with Palin, and are going to exert whatever control that they can on the main news provider up here, that being the ADN.
