Citizens Against Dan Sullivan

The new group called “Citizens Against Dan Sullivan and Liquor Industry Influence”  which seems to have the unfortunate acronym CADSLII, will be holding a press conference this morning at 11am.

The press conference will be at 645 G Street, across from McGinley’s Pub, of which Sullivan is part owner.  The purpose is to publicize Dan Sullivan’s Ties to the Liquor Industry.  I won’t be able to make it, but I’ll hope to have details later.

So far, this is the first group to appear to share my endorsement for mayor:

Anyone but Dan Sullivan.

We should be careful what we wish for. In the last governor’s race my mantra, like many, was “anyone but Frank.” We all know how that turned out. I too fear that the Democratic candidates have dangerously diluted themselves. Those that clearly aren’t going to make the cut should throw their support behind someone who can beat Sullivan.

and yes Obama fans, we need to remember the election night, the positive affects that it had around the world. And what happened on Inauguration day. Like when in the past has that happened? Ever? We SO have the right person in office. Thank goodness. The multitudes are on our side and that should be sayin something. Please everyone, hold the good of the world up in your hopes and prayers. We can do this, keep up the good fight.

Keep the vision, look past the immediate problems to a future changed by all of us now.

I was reading that President Carter in 1979 had announced that by the year 2000 the US would get at least 20% of it’s energy from renewable sources and had directed funding into research and development into a tech and policy blueprint do so or surpass this goal by 2000.

Along comes President Reagan who abandoned the Carters goal, cutting the secretary of energy budget from $125 million to $25 million and fired half it’s staff. AND ordered the solar water heaters be ripped off the white House roof!!! And since then we’ve been playing footsy with the oil companies with absolutely no thought past this resource running out. Thanks Bush, who was in love with arctic drilling, now Palin is left holding the sacrificial oil platter, go for change Alaskans! Get a vision beyond oil and mining. Oil and mining is a temporary thing that will run out, lets let it go, don’t start anything new and move forward renewable energy before more damage is done. As far as I’m concerned the oil companies have had a long enough hay day.

GADS, are we not SO fortunate to finally have a chance to change this direction!!!

Ted Stevens was not acquited, the prosecutors(under the Bush admin.) were found guilty of misconduct. The people of Ak. voted for Begich. Lets not have another Bush/Gore situation. Palin and other repub. are desperate to get rid of any one they cannot control. We need every rational mind to fight back against the insanity of the Palin admin. Look at her A.G. appointment if you have any doubt that she is out of control. Could he be any less suitable to represent all Alaskans? He has been a central proponent of Nat. rights. Rural Ak. are presently struggling to survive. As some one who has devoted his life to dismantling federal agreements with Nat. Ak. he could not be more inappropriate as A.G. Palin does not care about Ak. Push back!
