Palin Doesn’t Get Way. Changes Rules.
OK, last night I tried to get out of Looking Glass World. The rules are, you’re supposed to be able to go back through the mirror when you’re done. (Here’s where you can picture me looking slightly panicked, and banging on the backside of that mirror….trying to get back to the rest of you. You see me mouth the word “Heellllp!” but you cant hear anything. I’m stuck.)
Yesterday, Governor Palin and the Senate Democrats had the understanding that three new names would be put forth, after Tim “I Didn’t Realize I Was a Republican” Grussendorf was rejected as Palin’s Senate pick to replace former Senator Kim Elton. We all knew the rules: had to be a Democrat, live in Juneau, be qualified, and be a Democrat for at least a year.
Logical choice? Beth Kerttula. Palin’s choice? Grussendorf…a legislative aid who was, until two weeks ago, a registered Republican. He was not approved, and back we went to the drawing board, with three new names to be submitted to the Governor.
But wait, suddenly, within hours, the Governor decides that this is all….. (wait for it) ….. unconstitutional! We can translate that use of “unconstitutional” to mean that Sarah Palin didn’t get her way and would much prefer to change the rules so that she does. That makes perfect and logical sense. To a seven year old.
Here’s the letter:
April 2, 2009
The Honorable Gary Stevens
President
Alaska State Senate
State Capitol, Room 111
Juneau, AK 99801Dear Senator Stevens:
On March 31, I nominated, under AS 15.40.320, Mr. Tim Grussendorf to fill the vacant senate seat for senate district B. On the following day, April 1, I received an unsigned memo from “Alaska Senate Democrats” to Senator Gary Stevens that the nomination of Tim Grussendorf, “did not achieve the needed support to be seated.” The memo also stated that “Today the nine Senate Democrats met to discuss Governor Palin’s nomination.” Based on various news reports, it is our understanding that the meeting of Senate Democrats took place behind closed doors.
The Alaska Constitution provides that “Each [house of the legislature] is the judge of the . . . qualifications of its members. . . .” Alaska Const. art. II, sec. 12. The Department of Law has opined that “confirmation by a political caucus is probably a legally deficient procedure. The confirmation procedure set out in existing law appears to conflict with the Alaska Constitution.” 1987 Inf. Op. Att’y Gen. 2 (Sept. 21; 663-88-0107).
Accordingly, the closed-door action taken by a minority of the Alaska Senate is without legal effect. Until the Alaska Senate takes action consistent with the Alaska Constitution, my appointment of Mr. Grussendorf remains in effect.
I respectfully request that the entire Alaska Senate consider my nomination of Mr. Grussendorf in open session, in the same fashion as the legislature would consider any other appointment subject to confirmation. The people of Alaska and Juneau are entitled to a public confirmation process that is consistent with the Alaska Constitution.
Sincerely,
Sarah Palin
Governorcc: The Honorable Johnny Ellis, Senate Majority Leader
Enclosures:
Memorandum to Senator Gary Stevens, Alaska State Senate President.
File No. 663-88-0107, Subject: Procedure for appointment to fill legislative vacancy.
Star date 2007: Republican Representative (from Wasilla) Vic Kohring was convicted of bribery and corruption. Empty seat. Sarah appoints an elder from her Super Size Your Jesus church, Wes Keller. The Repubs approve…DONE, Keller is a House Representative.
So now, this historical process that seated Republican Wes Keller is unconstitutional? Hmm.
Will the governor be issuing a statement asking Representative Keller to resign?

Whackjobbery indeed!
On ADN, people are saying impeach this whackjob. If CA could recall Gray Davis, certainly AK could if she turns down the money. That fool gov of SC looks to have accepted the dough after all his political BS.
I picture GINO on the floor kicking and screaming “No, they can’t do that to me. Find a way to make them accept my choice, make it legal.”
GINO is, as usual, taking advice from the wrong prople. Now she is in the position of having to back up this stupid OPINION of WARs, and from how I see it, it is indefensible.
Epic fail!
SC’s Governor IS no fool, apparently. It appears as though his sense of better judgement has prevailed. Liken ‘better judgement’ to prefering to keep his job! Nothing like a little LOCAL revolution now and again! If he can see that light, do you think Saracuda has even the capacity to do the same? It’s getting wild in the woodlands (and mudflats, of course) there in the upper 1 ! What does GIMO have to DO to get Blagoyovitched out of there? Can hardly wait for the press release about her handling of the current emergency at the tank site. Truly unbelievable!
Palin is confused as usual. Senats Dems had to vote to confirm, otherwise her pick is rejected. They did not vote to confirm, so Grussendorf is out.
Aw Geeze!
The head lunitic runs the asylum!
Well at least the more offensive and outlandish she is, the less likely the RepoTaliban on either a state or national level will be to spending money on a candidate with so much “past” to try to explain away.
Remeber the Barge Without A Country full of NYC trash that kept sailing around from port to port casue nobody wanted NYC garbage.
Well now we know where it is. Sarah’s toting it. And every day in every way she just keeps piling more on.
Since my home state for 60 years, Texas, had and still has some of the dirtiest politics in the country, I sympathize with Alaskans.
Sarah Palingojevich. Just keeps getting crazier and crazier, doesn’t she? Next thing you know shell be spouting [s]Rudyard Kipling[/s] Jeff Foxworthy.
Oops…strikethough didn’t work.
My question is..does she have any real power to force her choice down Aka’s throat, or is this just all politcal posturing?
I await with bated breath the next installment of the Pariah Salin saga. It is apparent she is a trainwreck, out of her mind, and so self absorbed, it stuns me to contemplate. Sadly, I wish my own states politics were half as interesting. OT- I Just have to post this link.. I threw up a little in my mouth when I read this piece of steaming feces. Read at your own risk..lol… http://spectator.org/archives/2009/03/27/the-lady-is-preoccupied
She has really gone off the deep end. After reading books by Molly Ivins, I thought that Texas had the wackiest bunch of pols imaginable. But, man oh man, this is one crazy group you have there in Alaska. She really and sincerely thinks that her word is law and everything else be damned.I am sure she was one of the Mean Girls in junior high and she hasn’t changed. Absolutely mind boggling.

Not to be too sarcastic, but I must have missed the day she took someone’s advice.
OT – Levi is going to be doing an interview on Tyra Banks show Monday Apr 6th
Levi Quote: “Sarah Palin Let Bristol and Me Share a Room .” He believes Sarah Palin knew he and Bristol were sexually active, ” “Moms are pretty smart.” He also discusses wardrobe malfunctions.
What does this all mean?
Leaving two teens behind a closed door, with only Jesus as their chaperone, can lead to hanky panky.
Accidental pregnancies can now be blamed on “wardrobe malfunctions” (i.e. oops our clothes fell off; oops her panties accidently got torn)
Parents need to be educated that when two teens are behind closed doors shouts of Oh God! Oh God! OOOOH GODDDDD! there are not sounds of praying.
Just being able to see the church from the bedroom window is not an affective form of birth control.
Reading the bible and\or praying while engaging in unprotected sex is also not an affective form of birth control
Abstinence only as a form of birth control must be accompanied by parental supervision, common sense, and boys and girls NOT sleeping together in the same room.

That’s odd: When Sarah appointed church mate Wes Keller to fill convicted and jailed (and one of her mentors) State Representative Vic Kohring’s House seat, a caucus of the House Republicans was just fine to approve it… no Constitutional problems there.
This is the point in the show where Rod Serling is supposed to step out, cigarette in hand, and explain that we are now in the Twilight Zone.
Rules only count when they get you what you want. If you don’t like the rules make up stuff to get around them. Very simple.
Despite the 1987 AG opinion Palin cited, that opinion has been ignored for the last 22 years by legislatures and governors. I wonder how many times governors have appointed legislators who were then either approved or denied exactly the same way Tim Grussendorf was. There is humungous legal precedent here for the procedure that was followed.
There is another overwhelming precedent that hasn’t changed– as usual, Palin is wrong and has proven yet again why she shouldn’t be governor.
Hope Palin doesn’t screw up a couple hundred million dollars of desperately needed education funds today. Unfortunately her precedent may prevail there too; she’ll do the wrong thing and we’ll have to pay the price for this woman’s entrenched, nationally ambitious, self-absorbed tenure.
Sarah……CLOSED DOOR meetings with your handpicked Board of Agriculture (your chairwoman is your best friend and all your high school cronies fill the rest of the seats) didn’t seem to bother you one bit when they laundered millions of State $$ to your 4 dairy famer neighbors and friends, did it? Kindof of double standard, wouldn’t you say? The Legislative Audit committee is still working on all the illegalities…I am sure you are aware of that.
So all of a sudden you are concerned that this decision by the Democrats was not right because it happened behind closed doors? HYPOCRITE!
Does that mean that my opinion that Alaska should take all the stimulus means Gov will take it because my opinion says so!!
As she seems to want to base and run things on Opinions now, I hereby cast my opinion:
IMHO, it is that Gov. Palin is obligated to apply for ALL the provisions provided for Alaska under the Stimulus Bill passed.
I now step away from the podium!!!
Associated Press seems to agree the guv is slipping down the rabbit hole:

I just want to know who’s reading the AK constitution for Sarah, ’cause it sure as hell isn’t her.
I know, since Palin is so hung up on the R and D after one’s political name, the Democrats should just have Beth Kerttula change her party affiliation to Republican and the Dems could submit her name as the replacement… then there should be no problem, right? Problem solved….Palin gets her “RINO” and the Dems get Kerttula.
AKM. Please come back from “It’s OK if you’re a Republican” World… I fear that you will get tainted over there…
But first you will have to eat the pill that says “Eat me” and drink from the bottle that says “Drink me” before you wake up from your dream…
Of course, had Palin perhaps studied say… er … Political Science instead of…. hmmm, what was that degree in again? … Oh yeah, journalism…at 5 different colleges….or since she is such an extensive reader of say…. everything, all of them things that are written…… she might have a clue that there are rules of governing set in each state…and even the Governor must follow said rules…..
Uh Oh . . .
LEVI JOHNSTON BREAKS HIS SILENCE
For the first time, Levi Johnston, the former fiancé of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s daughter Bristol, breaks his silence and sits down exclusively with the “Tyra Show.”
Levi talks about his relationship with Bristol, what it was like to be thrust into the spotlight at the Republican National Convention, and why his engagement with Bristol Palin ended. Levi shares intimate details about his relationship with Bristol, what he really thinks of Gov. Palin and what it’s like to be a teen father.
Find out if Sarah Palin knew Levi and Bristol were sexually active and what he has to say about practicing safe sex.
Tune in to the “Tyra Show” on Monday, April 6th for the full interview with Levi and his mother and sister.
Sneak Preview:

The Queen sits on her throne and surveys the tattered landscape outside her window. There are peasants (peacefully) protesting her recent Declarations, and the protests seem to increase no matter what she does.
“Off with their heads!” She shouts, pointing her sceptre at the scene outside her window. “How DARE they question my wisdom? I am QUEEN, and what I say, goes!” One of her minions detaches himself from the crowd of minions cowering in a corner and nervously approaches the queen.
“Um, Your Liege, that is not true. Yes, you have many powers, and yes, you can make some decisions, but there are other decisions which must garner the approval–”
“You dare? You DARE question me?” The queen’s face turns red, and her eyes bulge out from behind the $500 glasses she’s wearing. She points her sceptre at her unhappy minion. “Off with YOUR head!”
“Um, Your Royal Majesty, I am the one who beheads, so, that would not be–”
“Behead yourself! I am the QUEEN! How dare you? The Constitution states that I, and only I get to decide what is in the best interest of me–the kingdom! Also! And after you behead yourself, go out and behead each and everyone of the peasants who dare challenge mah authoritay!”
Thus Spaketh the Queen, and all was not well in the Kingdom that night.
Does Gary Stevens have the balls to tell SP to eff off? Does he really want the Govenor dictating to the Senate?

What I really want to know is: can her argument hold water? Is there any chance that her letter/position will carry any weight or be considered actionable?

If he doesn’t — let’s offer up some stem cells to grow him a set!!!!
Sarah reminds me of the evil queen in a Disney movie. She’s positively demonic. I can picture her in a closed door meeting with WAR, tete-a-tete, discussing her options. This read on Constitutional Law sounds like something WAR would opine, which is why I have been calling all the legislators in Juneau telling them that he would not serve Alaska’s best interests as AG, and that they should not confirm him. (They meet next Friday, so you guys should call or write to them too). It is clear that He would only serve his Queen’s and his own as the AG. Closed door meetings are OK with Governor Snowflake as long as she deems it OK. This latest installment of Sarah ramblings reminds me of her motto…I can do anything I want until the courts tell me I can’t”
Who is the person that writes the letters for GINO? Knowing how she speaks, she has no capabilities to compose these. Having read this letter and the letter submitted on March 19th for portions of the stimulus. She just doesn’t have it in her for these compositions.
Hmmmmm…gosh, isn’t this just like the Bush admin wanting to torture, so they ordered the Justice Dept. to come up with interpretations of the law to make it OK?
AK, when are you going to realize that corrupt and idiosyncratic pols aren’t just another indication of your state’s wacky independent character? You have to hold people accountable. It’s not enough just to spend lots of $$ on special investigations…you have to follow through with disciplinary action. It’s no different than raising kids; they learn pretty quickly if you’re all bark and no bite. Then they just ignore you. The way Les Gara and Bob Poe reacted to AKM’s outing by Doogan is symptomatic…and those are the good guys!
So here goes, AKM (I know you’re waiting for this):
What’s wrong with you people??!
Let’s not get distracted. Today is the deadline for Sarah to accept or reject the stimulus money. The White House has stated due to State Law the legislature can not accept any money the Governors reject.
Will Sarah refuse the 45% of funds she claimed she would three weeks ago or will she take every last cent? Either way her goose is cooked.
What GINO and WAR are attempting to do is create a constitutional crisis. Remember, he says he’s not against anyone or thing, just upholding the constitution….
They hope this will carry over, on the advice of Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck, into a constitutional crisis for this country.
If GINO can pull this off in Alaska, then maybe it can happen in the rest of the land of which she wishes to be Queen.
Interesting that the Johnston’s are speaking out now. Does this mean that they no longer fear the Palin’s? I would think the Tyra Bank’s interview would be very damaging to the Queen. The right to lifers are her bread & butter. Is she becoming a joke? Seems like the GOP has got her number. I think Romney is quietly securing the 2012 nomination while the Queen selfdestructs.
These two last posts about this foolishness on Palin’s part need to be posted all over the place – huffington post, daily kos, everywhere. People need to know what she does – especially if she does try to run for president.
I can’t wait for the final showdown on this one.
Twilight Zone indeed. It’s a tad bit scary what’s going on up there in Alaska. And hard to believe. And really scary. And unbelievable. And kind of frightening too. Also.
My thoughts are with you all today in Alaska.
I liked the Super size Your Jesus reference.
Two of her statements jumped out at me while reading the letter. First was “I received an UNSIGNED memo….” Horror of all horrors! Didn’t present their findings on a velvet pillow while kneeling at her feet? Oh wait – should have said present their approval while…….
Next was “according to various news reports, it is our understanding (since when does she understand anything) that the meeting of Senate Democrats took place behind closed doors.
Hello – since when does she consider news reports the gospel?? That Nasty Gotcha Media? If that was a worrisome thing, wouldn’t a responsible Gov. meet and TALK to the Dem. Legislators? Holey Moley Batman – get a net.
Asiangrrl @ 10:22 am
LOL. I was just thinking maybe GINO is Henry VIII reincarnated. You know the Catholic Church would not give him a divorce so that he and Anne Boleyn could marry, so poof, he just created the Church of England and magically got his way. The woman needs to be committed.
I should have added, CLOSED DOORS? Not in my Queendom! Not unless I do it! How dare they?
The Legislators better grow some cajones and declare war on WAR and the Queen. Off with their heads! (not literally, of course) Out on their butts!
Palin’s letter to Obama re: stimulus money
http://www.conservatives4palin.com/2009/04/palins-masterful-stimulus-letter-to.html
received an unsigned memo from “Alaska Senate Democrats” to Senator Gary Stevens…
Of course it was unsigned! It wasn’t addressed to her; it was simply a copy that was sent to her. Anybody who knows the most basic process of typing and sending out a memo knows that only the original is signed…not the copies! Duh…
I hope everyone is bookmarking all this stuff so when she either runs for re-election or tries for the Pres.
Just wondering what she will do after she a) loses re-election, and/or b) gets laughed off the national stage-again. I’m betting that she will have someone else pen a book for her-not in her own blizzard of words of course, but real, readable english sentences, and then join up as co-host with Sean Insannity for an all around pukefest on Fox Noise.
It would be interesting, in view of palin’s recent rejection of stimulus monies, to see what would happen if uncle ted was reinstated. He, who never met a federal dollar he didn’t take, & Palin of the recent “just say no” to anything that might piss off the neo-con base she spends her days courting & seducing. Entertaining as that may be to watch, (I don’t watch reality tv) Ak. cannot allow her to bully Begich out of his seat. We desperately need his leadership. She is getting away with murder with her A.G. appointment. She cannot be allowed to twist the law one way for demos & another way for repub.(house rep Keller). I feel sick every time I hear her throw up her husband & kids as proof that she is “pro-Native”. I hope AFN collectively calls her out on her record related to Native rights. She has not done a thing for Natives in Ak., especially rural-Natives.
I remember the deep fear I felt last September when through AKM and Mudflats, I discovered what a whacko Sarah Palin was. I was able to breathe a sigh of relief when Barack Obama was elected President and I thought, well that is all over now..back to normality. I was wrong!!
I continue to be stunned and amazed by the antics of GINO, and her lack of accountabilty to anyone or anything…..
………I am at a loss for words! The stimulus is today….what in the name of God is she going to do now?
amen to that
Hobos are Us makes a very good point. With all this crap La Palina is slinging around, it’s easy to lose sight of the fact that these decisions she makes actually do have consequences besides the inevitable mocking she’ll receive for being so messed up.
Will she or won’t she accept all the stimuli money? Inquiring minds want to know…. (Sanford is still supposedly considering not accepting the education portion of the stimulus money).

IMPEACH, IMPEACH, IMPEACH!!! What is wrong with the Legislature????Do they not see a mentally unhinged person at the helm of the Beautiful state of Alaska??????
Circle the wagons, forge the river…whatever it takes…also,too
GET RID OF HER!
All I can say is”Who built your house?”. Thanks!
DrChill, so she’s trying to play the same game as Sanford? My hunch is she’s not nearly smart enough to pull it off (though, of course, the conservatives don’t agree).
Sad. Just sad.
from the AP article above:
“Palin insisted she has one thing on her mind: “My ambitions are to be the best governor that I can be. That’s what I wake up thinking about, that’s what I go to sleep thinking about and that’s what our efforts are all day long.”
Many Alaskans were shocked when Palin announced last month that she was rejecting half of the state’s stimulus funds, though it turned out to be closer to a third.”
Bad people skills, bad math skills, hmmm.
Legislative leaders have said they’ve found very few strings attached. Palin said it appears a majority of lawmakers want to spend the federal money.
Political experts agree that if Palin does want to succeed nationally, she’s got to do a good job at home. But Rutgers University political science professor Ross Baker said it’s been a rocky road so far.
“I think she’s still ill at ease as a national figure,” Baker said. “She just hasn’t been very good at juggling her state responsibilities versus her new national image.”
People see through her BS and are calling her on it, since they aren’t interested in what “SP the mean girl” says, but are watching what she actually does.
Claremont McKenna College political scientist John Pitney said all the nation’s governors are under stress given the current economic downturn.
But Palin needs to “drive home her competence” if she wants to move forward, and the recent bumps in the road haven’t helped that effort, he said.
Competence? What competence?
“She has plenty of opportunity to move ahead but she definitely has work to do,” Pitney said. “Because if she loses re-election or has an unexpectedly difficult re-election, that could damage any prospects for other jobs down the line.
Yeah, a recall or impeachment wouldn’t help much, either.
AK, if she turns down the money from the Feds, you should kick her out, one way or the other. Superficially pretty, but internally pretty dumb is not what you need in times like these…

@GA Peach a/k/a Lance the Boil aka Crust Scramble–you know, a few years ago to celebrate the 50th anniv. of the writing of the Alaska Constitution, the Univ. published lovely little pocket-sized copies of the document (yes, it’s concise enough to fit in a pocket, and darn well written at that). Maybe all of us who picked one up along the way should mail them all to her…

Can Palin get any dumber?
I have been fuming all morning about all things – Palin. I usually am pretty good about not allowing negative thoughts to occupy any space in my cerebral globe. I have resigned that you cannot apply logical thinking to a very illogical person. It concerns me greatly that hers are the hands on the Alaskan throttle (biting finger nails, shuddering uncontrollably)…
Message to Sarah Palin: The village called – they are looking for their idiot!
She didn’t write that letter herself, right? I mean, someone else in her office thought this up and wrote it and signed her named after witnessing her temper tantrum when her appointee was rejected. Because if she wrote it where are the also’s there too?
What intrigues me most about this woman is just how far she’s come on pure bluff. I’ve been wondering how long it could last before people started to see there is nothing there (also) besides the bluff and amazed that she’s gone on as long as she has. ….Until now.
Everyone gets their just desserts eventually.
Seems like a whole lot of state time is being used (wasted?) on Sarah Palin’s non-stop efforts to run the state government as a monarchy. Anyone take the time to tabulate the cost to state taxpayers?
Cough,cough,gag,retch!!!!!! Sorry, One cannot read the article in the American Spectator cited by LunaLuz #10 Without severe gastrointestianl distress.

What WAS that writer smoking? Can anybody with even minimal intelligence not see through this paper doll? I guess it is up to Alaska to put GINO out of office and quarantine her in Wasilla for the safety of the state, not to mention the country.
Jake, I am anxiously awaiting her Karma Comuppance. Couldn’t happen soon enough to a more deserving schmuck.
To Crystalwolf AKA Cali Girl…Thanks for your comment.
I don’t have the emails or phone numbers for the following names, but they’re easy to find. The confirmation hearing on WAR will be held by and/or heard by this group:
Reps: Dalstrom,Coghill, Gatto, Lynn, Greunenberg and Holmes
Senators: French, Weichilowski, Elton, McGuire and Therrialt
The above memo Sarah sent out is a prime example of how he will interpret the law to suit her. She’ll probabaly state that he had nothing to do with this reading, but it won’t be true. He’s been in Juneau working for the last week or so.
We saw the ADN quote yesterday where GINO was quoted as saying ‘she was having a good week ‘… despite them pointing out 6 major blunders this week.
With the announcements of Levi going on the Tyra Show……
Is it ” Official ” now…. GINO is N O T having a good week !!
Huffpo comments are brutal on the thread. Palin-Bots are trying to defend GINO.
How…I don’t know. Only in ‘ Looking Glass World ‘ I guess.
Banging keys on keyboard, swearing at screen, frothing at the mouth and starting to have heart palpitations….so much to read, so many links to go to………..??? HuffPo, TS, Todd in Esquire, Levi on Tyra……it is all just getting to be too much.
How, really HOW can anyone think this woman knows what she is doing? That is the most troubling thing for me; how people can be so divided and truly believe what each side is saying.
How many more examples of the Queens insanity do they need before the defenders see her for what she really is? Will they ever?
Good point. But Wes Keller was a Republican. We all know the rules are different for them. (see: Ted Stevens).
Senate Republicans have no business voting confirmation on a Democratic replacement. If so, then Wes Keller is out until he’s confirmed by the Democrats.
It’s a goose/gander/sauce thing. Not that Palin would understand the reference.
I suggest the Democrats ignore Palin and Dorfy. Dorfy clearly does not meet the criteria. He has not been a Democrat for a year. Period. End of discussion.
He will not be seated. And if he tries, his vote will be ignored. Period. End of discussion.
I also suggest that rather than giving three other names to try and make nice, they play hardball.
Kerttula. Only Kerttula. No one else.
There is a Serbian proverb, “No to one does not mean yes to the other.” No to Sarah, the Senate Democrats have the right to pass on the appointment of a Democrat to the Senate. This is a valuable check on the power of the governor to make sure she appoints a real Democrat to the seat. But no to the Senate Democrats too. They have campaigned on openness, including no closed caucuses. They can discuss the personnel issues behind closed doors, but to be true to their own principles they should have voted in public. The public has a right to know the legislators voted on this. “No to one does not mean yes to the other” Are any other Democrats going to stand up for the principles our party campaigned on?
OT—Is my eyesight going bad or the circles on the map to right growing like mushrooms since the other day?
There is an interesting thing happening in the US today. We have the Republicans as obstructionists, and they are doing anything they can to keep Democrates out of office. We have Minnesota, New York, and Alaska. There are serious questions as to the legality of these actions, and they are obviously ment to obstruct the rightful legal governmental process.
Why do we let them get away with this?
Just being able to see the church from the bedroom window is not an affective form of birth control.

Let the match begin!

What popped out to me in the oost is that she references herself as a third person, “the governor, Sarah Palin” Why didn’t she just say I or me? This is proof that somebody else is doing all of the writing for her. Plus, too, also we all know that she doesn’t have the smarts to write anything of her own without making herself look like a dumba$$.
I wonder, AKM, if you and the other denizens of Mudflats agree with the assessment by Cliff Groh (the attorney guy whose blog Alaska Corruption is in your blogroll to the right), who wrote a “Talk of the Tundra” article on Ted Stevens over at the Dispatch?
There’s a few things I either don’t agree with or object to because Groh seems to overlook the importance of judicial verdicts to society by seeming to laud some kind of tally of “win” cases for the attorneys involved, or that he hasn’t made clear to his readers that the entire case was under the Bush administration’s watch, handled by a DoG staff from his recommended Jerry Falwell Liberty University School of Law.
Groh’s most egregious observation seems to be “I would add that as a legal matter lead Stevens lawyer Brendan Sullivan was correct Wednesday when he said the upcoming voiding of the convictions means that Stevens “is innocent of the charges, as if they’d never been brought.”
As so many things that occur in Alaska government seem to be out of left field, if not out of Alice’s Wonderland — be it legislative, executive, or judicial — this legal opinion leaves one saying, “WHAAAATT?”

OH MY GOD! Levi, Mom and Mercedes are going to be on Tyra next Monday! There is a clip on her web site. I’m headed there to watch. Oh my Sarah is for sure not having a good week.
And speaking of closed doors, LOLOLOLOL…….Levi says Sarah allowed them to share a room!

She’s going to use the stim$ as a bargaining tool regarding WAR’s appt. No stim$ if the Leg won’t approve WAR. She’s just puffing hot air regarding Dorfy as she knows that is now a lost cause. (Well, she got to sound SMART in her press release, but that’s about it. No amount of posturing from her will get Dorfy in. She knows that putting to much pressure on changing the rules will compromise Keller, so she’s just blowing hot air.)
BUT, she does still have WAR’s confirmation hanging out there; her only ace in the hole w/the Leg at this important time.
I do believe that she will use WAR’s confirmation as her new quid pro quo regarding stimulus dollars. “You took my Dorfy, but I now present you with WAR. Without WAR Alaska will not get money for education. Take it or leave it. So there. (stands with hands on hips and frowny face)

” The Guiding Light “…has been canceled …But ” As the Sarah’s World Turns ” plays on.
New episodes every day.
Senate agenda:
1. Vote to confirm Tim Grussendorf. (Result, Tim goes down in flames.)
2. Vote to unseat Wes Keller, as his confirmation was unconstitutional under Palin’s new guidelines. (Result, Keller voted out of his seat.)
See how Palin likes that.
(Is there anyone else that was “appointed” unconstitutionally? Add them to the agenda.)
Ok…Ok….. It’s time to “send in the clowns.” Ooops, forgot, they are already there. Or maybe home in Wasilla…. egads. Help!!!!
OT but did anyone see the clip of Boehner yesterday making fun of a reporter having a bad hair day. Sure looked like old Boner has been hitting the sauce a little earlier in the day as he watches the GOP ship sink.
Reading through some of the earlier comments here, one tongue-in-cheek observation:
I think I’ve seen Beth Kerttula’s name spelled 3 different ways over the past few days — Kerrtula (Shannyn Moore, of all people), Kertulla (many times, actually over the past few months), and its correct spelling, Kerttula.
ATF-The above memo Sarah sent out is a prime example of how he will interpret the law to suit her. She’ll probabaly state that he had nothing to do with this reading, but it won’t be true. He’s been in Juneau working for the last week or so.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
I don’t understand how he can be working in a legal capacity if he hasn’t be approved by the legislature yet?
What happens if the Legislature doesn’t approve WARGINO?
Then what?
There is an awful lot of fertilizer around lately…I’m not surprised at the growth of the mushrooms.
Just one more thing on WAR–I would take Grussendorf over WAR any day. I think it’s sad that this is the state of politics–blackmail. I know it has always happened, but it seems to be in even greater supply these days.
I also am incredibly sadden to see how the GOP is trying to take down the country in order to advance their…um, party, as it were. No, it doesn’t surprise me, but it does sadden me.
It disgusts me that Palin and her ilk are bartering their citizens’ well-being for their own political gain. Again, not surprised, but disgusted.
A cost of $288 million, at the very least, if she doesn’t accept all stimulus funds.
OT — I’m going to have to find websites to follow the Obamas in Europe. The shootings in NY are so sad. My point — CNN will OCD on the story for the next 3 days, repeating and reshowing the same information and videos. This is their way in the past of operating and this is the only US news station my cable carries unless you pay even more outrageous cable fees than they already are, which I can’t justify paying almost double the fees. Poopies!!
OMG this is funny. On the front page of the ADN website, there are three headlines:
Whose the crazy one?
I’ve surfed around to just about every site commenting on the legal and legislative and executive doings in Alaska this past couple of days, and it struck me that as manipulative as Sarah Palin is, it just may be that we bloggers, and the analysts and editorialists who write for a living/salary, may be looking at her machinations from the wrong angle, and just reacting instead of acting.
Maybe every once in a while we, and they, should sneak over to C4P and read what they have to say, sorta like “forewarned is forearmed”.
For instance, in the “Grussendorf Saga Not Over Yet” topic over there, Videmus Omnia has quite a good “amateur analysis” (as he/she put it) of what’s going on:
“First, she’s demonstrating to the bagel-demanders in the Legislature that they’ve been foolish to mess with her, given the power she wields as Governor. They’ve been openly disrespectful and dismissive of her this session, ranging from the dumb symbolic contempt resolution over Tasergate, to stalling on her legislative priorities, to only giving her Kerttula’s name for the Senate seat.
Lately she’s been sending small signals demonstrating who has the real power. This includes the decision to interview Senate candidates on her own, to this Grussendorf appointment, to rescheduling last week’s stimulus meeting. We’ll see another round when the line item vetoes commence on the budget – that’s going to be entertaining. I think some legislators of both parties will learn that they had better demonstrate a little respect if they want to achieve their goals.
Second, she’s driving wedges in the opposition coalition. I can see a big one appearing already, between the Alaskan nutroots and the conservative Democrats. The Palin-bashers are running around screaming “Republican Tim Grussendorf! Republican!” This is pretty silly considering that Grussendorf has actually run for state office as a Democrat, is the son of a prominent Democrat, and has worked for years as a legislative staffer for a Democrat. There are obviously many Democrats who like and respect Grussendorf, and they’re being alienated by Hollis French’s agenda of “bash Palin above all else.” French is turning himself into the Harry Reid of the Alaska Senate.
Finally, this move indicates to the Alaska GOP establishment that she’s willing to fight Democrats, and rebuild bridges to their party. Several moves have telegraphed this, including her speech at their Lincoln Day Dinner, the support for Ted Stevens, the appointment of WAR, and cooperation with Lisa Murkowski (including a rumored fundraiser.)
Palin doesn’t need the Democrats anymore – she got what she needed from them with ACES and AGIA. She’s learned a lesson that Bush never did – Democrats only cooperate when it’s good for them, and then stab you in the back. Now, with open season approaching for the pipeline, Palin needs the Republicans and their oil company connections. She has signaled that she can be receptive to their concerns with her announcement about natural gas taxes.
Maybe I’m being overly optimistic, but perhaps by the next legislative session Palin can fracture the bipartisan anti-Palin Senate “majority” in favor of a true GOP majority, locking Hollis French and the other Dems out of positions of power. If nothing else, this is great groundwork for the 2010 Alaska elections.”
Thanks, VidOm, I hope Alaska Democrats, particularly the ones who are attempting to help LEAD Alaska despite Sarah Palin’s efforts, read this.
I swear to God. There is something up there in Alaskaland EVERY day! That woman needs to go! I can’t believe it.
Sorry AKM, but frankly all these shenanigans make me wonder if the rest of the Lower 48 could vote in favor of Alaskan secession??? Sheesh. And if so, could we also send along Jindal, Sanford, and Boehner?
Yet another episode in our favorite series, Wasilla Hillbillies!!!
lol
I fear we will all be stuck behind the looking glass as long as Palin has a political voice.
“The Department of Law has OPINED that “confirmation by a political caucus is PROBABLY a legally deficient procedure. The confirmation procedure set out in existing law APPEARS to conflict with the Alaska Constitution.” 1987 Inf. Op. Att’y Gen. 2 (Sept. 21; 663-88-0107).”
A 22 year old legal opinion that apparently didn’t result in procedural change is the basis for her grandstanding? I hope the Dem. stands firm….though, imagine it could get ugly.
Also…I wish Alaskans would call the ‘closed-door’ hypocrisy for what it is. How can she get away with complaining about the ‘closed door’ when she closed the door on the Troopergate investigation?
Has anyone publicly reminded GINO of her own words re Renkes? “It’s important to get these documents made public so Alaskans can make their own judgments,” Palin said.
Palin said she hopes that the e-mails will surface, and that the release of Renkes’ and Murkowski’s depositions, with the rest of the investigative file, will resolve any lingering questions.
http://dwb.adn.com/news/government/renkes/story/6250951p-6128097c.html
Short of calling for a recall; and, perhaps, drawing more public support…..couldn’t Alaskans circulate a petition demanding release of the Personnel Board troopergate documents?
From Zaz Hollander in Wasilla:
Todd Palin’s half-sister was arrested Thursday after police say she broke into a Wasilla home for the second time this week to steal money.
Palin is the husband of Gov. Sarah Palin. He declined comment.
Diana Palin, 35, entered a home near Wasilla’s Multi-Use Sports Complex and attempted to steal cash from the owner’s bedroom, police said.
I am right there with you Irishgirl! I really never have watched soaps, but I am guessing this is better than most!!!!! and I am also addicted! What next? Can’t wait!
So WAR is showing off how useful he can be. But how clever is all of this in terms of Palin’s presidential ambitions? How is all this degenerate Hatfield vs. McCoys hillbilly pettiness going to play on the national stage?
Is it a safe bet that the little pea-brain is not going to campaign as a uniter?
What happens to Dorfy, once he’s of no use to Palin?
@KaJo –
First, let me say that VidOm (who throws out shite comments here once in a while) is obviously NOT an Alaskan with their ear to the ground. That’s a bunch of pro-nilap babble.
The Repubs are not on her side, she has screwed them too many times, and I don’t forsee them ever being on her side. Her little tiny carrot about natural gas taxes — well, that doesn’t matter when gas isn’t produced, no real gas pipeline in the works, and gas isn’t going to be produced for years. Let’s get real about natural gas: the big 3 are using it to aid in the extraction of oil, it is much more financially beneficial to them to use it for that than to sell it for next to nothing to a market that is already well-served. There is no incentive for the Big 3 to market the natural gas, prices are too low, and they need it to extract oil. So, poof, there goes that dream.
Building bridges to the Alaskan repubs? Oh, I don’t think so. She is on a train called the crazy express, it is out of control, and there are several viable repubs in town who could win an election against her hands-down. If Ted Stevens threw his hat in the ring tomorrow she just might as well concede ahead of time, no need to go thru any primary. I don’t see that as out of the question. All the legislature repubs need to do is sit back and watch her implode, taking steps as they can to keep her from ruining the state. Those steps would be to deny her choices, Grussendorf and WAR. You can bet that they have a couple of AGs picked out themselves, waiting in the wings. SP does not have ultimate power, that’s not how our government works, and that is how it should be. If SP wants to use this new constitutional argument re: appointments, well, that’s a slippery legal slope, it will drag things out for months (at least), and she will lose in the end, more importantly, though, Alaska will lose, as it is subjected to the demands of its petty tyrant of a gov.
Finally, she is up for re-election in Nov of next year. That’s a looooong time in terms of how many ethical &/or legal issues can & will be raised. She may not survive as gov that long, may be Blago’d before then.
c4p and others of that ilk can talk smack as much as they want, but here in Alaska her credibility & support, what little remained after the Nov elections, is eroding day by day.
I was a registered Repub until last Sept. My husband is a registered Repub. We are oil folk, so have a disproportionately large amount of Repub friends & acquaintances, and they would not vote for her if they were paid to. Of course, we’re pretty particular about our friends! Some of them are very religious, conservative, but she still would not get their vote. The oil industry here is in shambles, that’s our livelihood. It is a function of Alaska being the second most expensive place in the world for oil companies to operate.
Frankly, c4p and similar sites know nothing about the real tone here in Alaska. They are doing their cheerleading from thousands of miles away.
I could go on & on about this for a looooooong time, but really, it’s easier to just sit back & watch the crazy train express zoom off into the twilight zone.
“Diana Palin, 35, entered a home near Wasilla’s Multi-Use Sports Complex and attempted to steal cash from the owner’s bedroom, police said.”
Say, don’t Todd and Sarah live near the sports complex? I”m just sayin’…..
I am thinking SP must be getting her lines crossed trying to figure out where exactly she stands. We need to assist the great Gov. with a simple “flow chart” – it will lead her back to all previous “stated positions” (U Tube-ADN-Press Releases-Stumping Speaches-Cite Quotes— emails would be very helpful when they are finally released)
We should get Meg to put that together for her don’t ya think? You Betcha!!!
@Kajo (#77):
While I personally believe that Uncle Ted knew perfectly well what was going on, and was indeed corrupt, it is nevertheless true that legally he is now considered innocent of the charges brought against him. His conviction was vacated, which means, legally, he was never convicted, i.e., never proven guilty.
It is a frustrating outcome, but I hope you share my fondness for the concept of “innocent until proven guilty”.
A question — Isn’t the House of Palin close to the Wasilla Sports Complex?
If so, might that be the house DINO’s half-sister broke into not once, but twice in the same week???
Why I might think that you ask!! We didn’t hear about the first break in!!!
OK, here’s the scoop: Today is the deadline for the governors to send in a certification letter. This only paves the way for applying for the different parts of the Stim funds later. If a governor misses the certification deadline, that automatically allows the state legislature to override the governor and send in the certification themselves. GINO has sent in her certification letter.
Now, the gov alone can apply for certain parts of the stim funds, like the stabilization funds (for schools, etc.) but probably can’t block applications for other parts of the funds.
Hi, Bystander (waving from Littleton)- you’re right, even if you count the Churchill/Owen dust up
Back on topic: Is the vacancy-filling procedure prescribed by a law, or is it an “agreed practice” of the Legislature? If, for instance, the constitution or law says that the Governor’s appointment must be approved by the affected house, it would be reasonable that the legislators might have an informal, but binding, agreement delegating that decision to the affected caucus. Indeed, that would be a very reasonable agreement, and it would likely persist for the same reason the filibuster/cloture rules persist in the US Senate — the majority party realizes that they may some day be the minority party.
However, if it is an agreed practice instead of an actual law, GINO may be able to force the issue to a vote of the entire Senate. One would hope that the Senate R’s would have enough foresight to vote along with their D colleagues, but who knows?
One thing that disturbs me is that the D caucus vote doesn’t seem to have been quick and unanimous (as suggested by keeping the results secret). If the matter does go to a full-Senate vote, and any of the D’s break ranks, it will give the R’s cover to do the same. I suspect this is what GINO is hoping for. She may even be hoping that the resulting aggravation will weaken the bi-partisan majority coalition.
I have to say that I think the Senate Dems made a mistake by not putting forward three names. If you want to maintain a procedural agreement, you want to abide by all its provisions. I have the uncomfortable feeling that the Senate D’s decided to try a little power play, and they’ve just been raised. At this point, I hope their focus will be on maintaining the integrity of the bipartisan majority. Now, if the majority decides to take on GINO, that would be gravy.
But Martinez says it ain’t so.
“I just don’t want you to get misled by someone who is trying to screw McCain here, frankly, because he doesn’t deserve it,” Martinez added.
I hope Levi’s plane ticket to the lower 48 was one way. I fear if he returns to Alaska, Palin may put a “hit” out on him. If you thought “Troopergate” was vindictive, I’m laying money you ain’t seen nothin’ yet, also. You betcha.
I hope there is a camera somewhere near Doogan…. so they can ask his opinion about Todd’s half-sister arrest. He seems to want to voice ‘ opinions’.
Can someone in his District in AK call the office? Or send him about 50 emails !!
( Specify YOU are not a Woman emailing Him… those don’t count)
I dont know if this has been cited but an article in Think Progress opens
“During a radio interview yesterday, corrupt Congressman Don Young (R-AK) expressed his hope that the corrupt former Senator from Alaska, Ted Stevens, might make a run against the corrupt Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin:”
UN-BELIEVABLE!!!!!
UN-BELIEVABLE!!!!!
UN-BELIEVABLE!!!!!
Alaskan politics isn’t a soap opera, it’s a train wreck!!!!!
I became interested in Governor Palin because I couldn’t believe Americans could elect George Bush, not once, but twice, and was scared that such a thing could happen again and a person as ignorant as Bush & Palin could be elected again.
But this pissin’ contest she is spending her energy on now is UN-BELIEVABLE!!!!!
Alaskans have been fooled once into electing a pretty little Jr. High cheerleader into high office.
But this latest rash of bad behavior and ignorance is insulting to all Americans.
Sarah.
Grow up or get out!!!!!
Since grow up isn’t an option, please Alaskans, wrap yourselves in your stars and stripes, step up and save America from this delusional woman.
GINO is off the chain. Sheesh!!!
Violent and harassing phones calls are not OK. Have you heard of using “*57″ on your phones (read: star five seven)? It’s called Call Trace and is a valuable tool when receiving threatening phone calls. They also have something called Call Trap when you receive several messages.
The phone Co. has the ability to trace “blocked” numbers if the messages are threatening. And will turn them over to the police for investigation. Making threats over the phone is illegal.
Procedures vary differently with Phone Co.’s so check your local phone co. for their policy. Some charge a fee.
Good luck and be safe…
here is the language from the Alaska Statutes as to the filling of a legislative vacancy (emphasis mine):
Article 03. LEGISLATURE
Sec. 15.40.320. Condition and time for filling vacancy by appointment.
When a vacancy occurs in the state legislature, the governor, within 30 days, shall appoint a qualified person to fill the vacancy. However, if the remainder of the term of the predecessor in office will expire or if a vacancy in the state senate will be filled by a special election before the legislature will next meet, convene, or reconvene, the governor may not fill the vacancy.
Sec. 15.40.330. Qualification and confirmation of appointee.
(a) The appointee shall meet the qualifications of a member of the legislature as prescribed in Sec. 2, art. II of the state constitution, shall be a member of the same political party as that which nominated the predecessor in office, and shall be subject to confirmation by a majority of the members of the legislature who are members of the same political party which nominated the predecessor in office and of the same house as was the predecessor in office. If the predecessor in office was not nominated by a political party or if no other member of the predecessor’s political party is a member of the predecessor’s house of the legislature, the governor may appoint any qualified person. If the appointee is not a member of a political party, the appointment is not subject to confirmation. If the appointee is a member of a political party, the appointment is subject to confirmation as provided by this section for the confirmation of political party appointees.
(b) A member of a political party is a person who supports the political program of a party. The filing for office of a candidate as an independent or no-party candidate does not preclude a candidate from being a member of a political party. Recognition of an independent or no-party candidate as a member of a party caucus of members of the legislature at the legislative session following the election of the independent or no-party candidate is recognition of that person’s party membership at the time filings were made by party candidates for the preceding general election.
I hope they dont take Levi fishing, a la Fredo in the Godfather II. Or do him like the Police Captain who was on the take in Godfather I. Either Levi has left the roost and gone maverick, or this is pure spin from the Mama Bear. Stay tooned y’all.
@Irishgirl –
Thanks, that was nice.
I don’t comment much, but when it comes to the energy bit, between my husband & I (lots of diverse experience), well, I could go on for a looooong time, so I jump right on that stuff! I am glad to see that they myth of the “foremost energy expert in the US” has gone away, leaving the reality of SP. The only people clinging to that myth are the c4p types.
I have never commented on this blog before, but this tactic is just too outrageous. I am not an Alaskan, but I’m a lawyer who did not get a law degree in order to sit by silently when someone in power is trampling on the law.
I hope the Alaska legislature as a body has enough backbone to convene, poll the Democratic senators, and formally reject the governor’s nominated candidate in open session, all in accord with Alaska law (http://touchngo.com/lglcntr/akstats/Statutes/Title15/Chapter40/Section330.htm).
The attorney general’s opinion that the governor cited to support her refusal to follow Alaska law is an informal opinion (you can tell by the citation form). I was unable to find the actual opinion on the internet (it is probably too old to be archived there). But there is information about how attorney general opinions function in Alaska. First, here is what the Alaska Department of Law’s website says about formal and informal attorney general opinions:
“Formal opinions are in letter format and are signed by the Attorney General as the chief legal officer of the state. Formal opinions typically respond to questions concerning constitutional issues and other matters of statewide concern. Informal opinions (memoranda of advice) are issued on matters less likely to impact those other than the requestor and are signed by the Assistant Attorney General who prepared them or by the Deputy Attorney General. ”
The person who wrote the letter over the governor’s signature clearly intended to claim that the statute setting out the procedure for replacing a member of the legislature was in conflict with the Alaska Constitution– but if the attorney general (or assistant or deputy) thought so in 1987, then why was this opinion an INformal opinion?
And whether the opinion is formal or informal, it is NOT law. It is someone’s interpretation of the application of the law, as s/he saw it, in 1987. I suggest those interested read more about the legal force and effect of Alaska attorney general opinions, at http://www.law.state.ak.us/doclibrary/opinions_index.html
Lots to comment on but to Team Alaska – so sorry you were outed and threatened! Will add you to my prayers.
Now I begin to see why Alaskans won’t petition the leg for impeachment nor start a recall of your own. It is fear.
Sadly, I think it is the only thing that will stop Palin not only now in Alaska but from future politics which effect us all. Impeachment or recall is the only sure fire way to end a politicians political career.
@ annie esq
So glad you decided to delurk on this occasion. Your point about the “legal opinion” meshes well with some points I have been trying to make here. It’s just an “legal opinion” and it strikes me as quite significant that it has been summarily ignored for over 20 years.
Regarding the poster you quote: “Videmus Omnia,” translated “We see everything”……….His post displays magical thinking that goes along nicely with his moniker and the philosophy of C4P. You can see his underlying retroactive rationalization in trying to make sense of Palin’s haphazard governing style. No doubt he would love his theory of her actions being sophisticated and brilliant calculations….but it just doesn’t follow the facts.
Palin has been on a downward spiral since the spring of 2008 when Troopergate hit the fan. Continuing exposures of Palin’s lapses, gaffes, and unethical shortcuts, as well as her frantic rebuttals, are the real driving forces in the governor’s office, not some masterplan.
SMR’s comment #111 is an excellent post regarding this.
Legislators refuse Palin’s demand
http://www.adn.com/news/politics/story/747513.html
So Palin doesn’t like closed door meetings? What about all the closed door meetings when her hand picked board of Ag gave away hundreds of thousands of dollars to her dairy farmer friends. Didn’t bother her one bit. This case…she is bothered.
Hi Knight Rider, So what Palin doesn’t like closed door meetings unless she does. Typical politician. But Democrats are the ones who ran on openness. It’s not about what she does, it’s about what we do, it’s about keeping our promises. Democrats promised openness and failed. Don’t use her closed doors allow us to justify closing ours.
good Lord do I feel sorry for you all in Alaska—-hope ya know that the rest of the country compares your “Governor” and legislation to the Beverly Hillbillies of the US, not to mention the US’s biggest welfare recipients (well, except for the banks of course) Palin doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell to make President, EVER!! and many many many many people over here in the lower 48 will make it their personal mission in life to make sure that NEVER happens. As for the idiots on here who seem to think that Stevens would be a better Governor, ya’ll need that that like you need another whole in your head!!
Just cuz they dropped the charges does not mean he is not guilty, just means prosecutors fudged it, morons!! Also they don’t have a leg to stand on to demand the other senator to step down or to call for a “special” election–unconstitutional!!! Your legislation needs to go back to school! Make sure you elect someone smart this time around and maybe you all won’t be the laughingstock of the USA.
The Repugs in the Senate are not about to mess with the Dems’ action, as Senate President Gary Stevens has said, quoted in the ADN article, that he doesn’t want similar actions against Repug candidates for replacement by a Dem governor.
Plus she has pissed ALL the legislature off, by refusing to meet with them on stimulus and other topics (gee they might ask her a “gotcha” question like “what do you intend to do?”), and by refusing to spend appropriated funds in this year’s budget instead of line item vetoing them so that the Lege could vote to override the vetoes. Just watching Finance Committee sessions on Gavel To Gavel, you can see that legislators in both parties, both houses are pissed that she keeps trying to take over legislative powers, such as appropriating funds.
She will never, ever get 11 votes to confirm Paulette Simpson’s choice of Repug disguised as Dem, whether it’s Grussendorf or someone else. If she keeps it up, she may get NOTHING she wants from this Legislature.
What a waste of everyone’s time, and a travesty that the people of Juneau are not represented in the Senate.
Thanks, that was nice.
Who can rid you of this meddlesome mean girl? What planet does she live on?
Hi all,
I’d just like to quickly remind everyone of the FAQ –
http://www.themudflats.net/faq/
In particular the part about the spam bin. From time to time comments end up in there by accident. We drag them out as quick as we can.
Cheers,
AKM, I love you and Shannyn. Thanks for the relevant comparison. As someone in Keller’s district, I will be only too happy to insist he be unseated if Palin gets her way on this one.
