Signs Point to Yes!

Question….  Is Sarah Palin in trouble in Anchorage?

signspointtoyes

Discontent with Sarah Palin has reached a new level.

We knew it was just a matter of time.  This sign appeared on 3rd Avenue in downtown Anchorage.  And it wasn’t the only one.

Wonder when we’ll get new poll numbers…

Love seeing the sign(s)! And as far as actually impeaching Palin I will try to find the info discussed previously.

The public can petition for a Recall, the Leg can Impeach. Alaskans CAN do something about her. That’s the main thing I remember. Will see if I can find the link again.

Right now best concentrate on hammering the Leg to reject WAR. Keep up the good work everybody (o:

The journey of a thousand steps has to begin with 1.

I agree that the ist priority right now is to try to push the Leg to not let WAR become AG and he would be in the position to block and delay so much that others might try to do, and would be in the position to pass down BS legal opinions that either would have to be allowed to stand or would have to go through the court systems with much wasting of time and money.

Poor, poor Pariah Salin…I wonder who is going to lead the village mob with torches and pitchforks to tear down the sign. The Palinistas must be just beside themselves. She is embattled on many fronts, the Levi Johnson story just keeps spinning and spinning, instead of keeping her mouth shut, she is encouraging the story to keep walking. >Smart< NOT.

Celtic Diva is also reporting that the AK Native community is actively against W.A.R., & has an upcoming protest in Juneau this week. Yes!

Finally, I hope the AK State Senate will get moving and start Impeachment proceedings. As everyone is pointing out, Palin is M.I.N.A. (Missing in Non-Action).

GINO is MINA. (Sorry, it’s early for me.)

With her it isn’t “thinking” that she is qualified, it’s “knowing” that she deserves it. She doesn’t want the job she wants the glory and the power. And she believes God will give it to her. I doubt she will ever change that approach to her responsibilities.

She learned nothing from her failure as mayor of Wasilla. Needing to hire a city manager for a village of 5000 is a major failure of management. What she got out of that experience was the attention and the power she got. “Thinking” is generally not a large part of a narcissistic power trip, its all self gratification and self aggrandizement.

OT, Sorry to go OT so early this morning, just when so many voices in AK are finally being heard. I just wanted to remind folks up there that are waking up to just what can be accomplished via the Internet and community organization.

With just a few days left of your legislature session, please go take a look at what is available (on your state website) in the stimulus package. One of the first things I noticed was all the grant monies available to build broad band capacity. That means towers and Internet hook-ups for all the towns and villages if you get your applications in early. Put you phone lines and computers to work fast finding out who in your area can get the legislature reps to help make this happen.

As you get better connections you get better results. Just look what a few thousand bloggers have done so far this last year. There are links on the forum and in past Threads to that AK State website that lists all the things you can apply for in the stimulus package. The nice thing is you really do get to choose and you can get together with your neighbors to design programs that work for you. You don’t have to let only those with money tell you what you will get or not get.

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@What should really sicken you is that the Republcian Party or those in charge in 8/08 “chose” her over all other picks to campaign with and convinced McCain to go along. How stupid they thought the American peopel are/were. The RNC created or unleashed this monster from within. But hey, Alsakans elected her Gov. before all that ?????? In the end, no one can turn back time but can only attempt to protect the future. Juneau dems serving as good example, lately with rejected picks. Keep it up!

I see the presidential thing as losing steam and money by 2010 when she’ll be too busy trying to save her political hide in AK and getting re-elected. Campaign rhetoric all over again !!! Push play. …

What powers does the Leg have after the end of its official session?
If elements of the Stimulus are left undecided, like not giving education its normal state portion and the stimulus in addition to that, or the AG and/or the Juneau set left undecided, what happens next?

Sarah is not likely to call an extra session of the Leg, does she then have relatively unfettered power to diddle the state and screw around with the Stimulus funds since the Leg is not officially sitting?

  20. 70
    Peaceful Granny Says:

Thanks, Mainiac. The other thing is that there is something in the stimulus package for every one of those groups that Oclibral listed above. The thing that so disappointed me about the Gino is that just to keep her name in the race for national attention she has left the State of AK in the ice age. When it comes to the real issues of her citizens, rather than look to see what could really work and help “grow the economy” she choose to do “party sound bites” and run off to play in the big pound. Totally forgetting that if she would have stayed in touch with the legislature actually got bipartian approval for programs that would stumulate AK economy that she could have been a leader to be proud of, not the Gino, who gets known for the dumbs things in the world.

There isn’t much time, but with her out of state, some very good people could get much accomplished in the few days left of the legis. session.

I agree, but we should never forget Bush and how he got into office. He came with a ton of negative baggage and Neocons still got him into the WH for two terms.
And not forget that the Bushies are all over in the administration, the military, and in the companies and lobbies that have so much power in DC. They rule the MSM.
Palin may be toast as a candidate but as long as she is a draw for the RepoTaliban they will use her and there are hoards of rabid Bushies for the RepoTaliban to choose from to take her place.

Back last fall AKM quoted, I think or maybe posted, a person who had been involved with Palin in political debates, I believe on the city council level.

Basically, what he said was she buried you in an avalanche of BS that was unanswerable since it was gobble dee gook (my words).
Apparently she is in the habit of “winning” arguments by arguing off topic, so there can be no rebuttal.

Eventually, of course she was bound to run into people who were smarter and savier than her and so her technique isn’t working so well anymore, and she has no other technique except to lie.

Again a la Bush. Bury your opponents in BS and when called out, lie.

    ATF Says:

I love the sign. It’s a beacon of hope. The reality is quite different. We have a legislature that is considering confirming the Governor’s choice for AG. They’ve watched inept Wasilla cronies take several positions in the Palin Administration and they’ve seen National PACs moving quietly towards Alaska. Politicians don’t want more powerful PACs to launch dirty attack campaigns against them in future re-elections. That’s the quiet power Sarah holds over them.

I truly believe the VP nomination exposed her to be the fraud she is to the nation and to many Alaskans. I have maintained that if she had to run for Governor again she would have to defend her lies, because her entire message was built on lies everytime she opened her mouth. Plus,if she runs for Governor, she would have to answer questions in public and participate in debates. Her ethical arrogance and natural backstabbing tendencies seem to be catching up to her. I wonder how much it is costing her in attorney fees to hold off the release of her deposition and emails. Ethical arrogance is expensive these days. I love the latest maneuver by the Queen of Flip Flops, saying she did not ask Begich to resign. It’s time for the Legislature to do an intervention and start with demanding the release of the materials she has held back. Her ethical arrogance won’t allow her to keep her trap shut about her Artic Wear Gear either – she doesn’t get it but it could be used against her in a court of law someday. Remember, her illness requires her to never EVER admit to doing anything wrong.

Someone get a video camera and make a YouTube Moment… posing in front of the sign. Wearing the biggest “Where’s Sarah” buttons and maybe holding up some signs as well. Make it FUN as well

YouTube clips (when popular ) spread fast and can go viral. All the other blogs would also help spread the message because it can be played over and over..etc
Who in Alaska wants to make a video….?????

It could be subtle as well or understated. People just having a fun snowball fight with a lot of laughter…. BUT the BIG looming sign in the background at all times.

    Fran Says:

Is Palin really disliked enough to be challenged by a Republican successfully in a Primary or to loose in the general election to a Democratic candidate? At this point I doubt it. From the shift in her poll numbers it looks like Republicans have gone from thinking she is the greatest thing that ever happend to Alaska (highly approve) to she is an accepatable Republican politician (approve) while the Democrats and Independents have shifted from she is pretty decent for a Republican (approve) to hating her (disapprove). It is pretty typical for Govonors to be liked by their own party and disliked by the opposition, so I would expect that at this point Palin could still get re-elected comfortably. It is pretty hard to unseat an already elected leader who belongs to the state’s dominant party, unless there is a major ethical scandel or a criminal indictment. So unless, it comes out that she actually did fake the pregnancy of Trig or she is indicted for unreported gifts (for example her house was built for free by the same folks who built Wasilla’s recreation center.), a second term is still in the cards for Sara.

Unless Ted Stevens runs for governor. AKM

I agree with ATF that the sign is a beacon of hope. I have read that GINO must be proven to have broken the law in order to impeach her. I’m thinking Housegate. I’m sure Mudpuppies and possibly others have already alerted the FBI about this. There may be a waiting period with the FBI. Perhaps Alaskan Mudpuppies could contact Lisa Demer or Dennis Zaki and suggest that they begin an investigative report about Housegate. Todd should be asked to produce receipts for building materials (or at least what was purchased from whatever companies) and which buddies (first and last names) helped him build the house. GINO and Todd may well have covered their @sses about Housegate though. Can’t impeachment be pursued simply for incompetence? Every time I read about GINO’s lies here on Mudflats or on other blogs and Huffington Post, or listen to commentary from Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow, I cannot understand why there is not already a concerted effort underway to get this vile shrew out of a position of power.

    Pursang Says:

The GINO is an expert at the art of “If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with BS”. If you listen to her and aren’t paying close attention to the details she does sound like she’s saying something. It’s only when you really listen that you realize she’s said nothing and done it for a half hour or more.

It also helps to use terms few are familiar with. This way people don’t know if you’re using them correctly or even if they mean anything but they sure do make you sound like you know what you’re talking about. Case in point would be GINO’s fungible commodity speech where she sure sounded good until you found out it was BS.

As far as the signs, they better get some motion activated cameras, barbed wire, and guard dogs at those sites. I’m sure the “TEAM” is already planning night maneuvers to bring them down. :-) Though they may be successful I’m sure it will look like a cluster-copulation at the site.

It’s good to see people waking up not only to the GINO but her AG appointment as well. That people are putting things like this up is a sign that little miss is losing some of her power in that more and more people don’t fear her reprisals anymore.

I’ll also second the statements about her looks lately, the situations she keeps putting herself in are taking a toll. It’s tough when the Beauty Queen realizes not everyone loves her, not to mention when the Beauty Queen loses her looks. For someone who has used her looks (still don’t understand why people find her attractive but they do so…) her entire life to further her goals it has to be a real reality check to find the image starting back at you is looking a tad haggard. But then being a narcissist I’m sure she’ll never think she’s lost her looks, regardless of how much plastic surgery she’ll end up having.

Sorry for the novella…enjoy your evening all!

Coleman suffered a legal setback Monday.

ST. PAUL, Minnesota (CNN) — A three-judge panel ruled Monday against Republican Norm Coleman in his dispute with Democrat Al Franken over who should be declared the winner of the U.S. Senate race in Minnesota.

The judges determined that “Franken is entitled to receive the certificate of election” after defeating Coleman by 312 votes.

Coleman has 10 days to appeal the 68-page ruling to the state Supreme Court.

She’ll probably move all the State offices and Commissioners out of Anchorage to Wasilla by the end of the year. Great signs though. I hope Michigander follows through with his promise to gather impeachment or recall info. I see many blogs stating “Impeach!” or “Recall!” but no action taken. I think many Alaskans are at the point of being willing to take action and sign petitions for either one.
