I have had my usual laugh today visiting meatharaS and found this little gem. I think I am getting close to losing my membership over there as my tounge is not bitten, but almost chewed off refraining from commenting on these silly posts.

I love how these idiots say that, the people filing complaints 1) have no life of their own or 2) paid by Obama, or 3) afraid or jealous of GINO and then they proceed to attack their looks, job whatever!
Someone noted (Phil perhaps?) that these trolls attack the woman more than the men who have filed ethics complaints against GINO.

But I do feel very strongly about defending all teenagers and their hopes for the future. They are still growing up. And to be clear, I hope Bristol goes to college and realizes her dreams as well.

taking a parenting class would do two things for levi: (1) teach him some childcare basics and (2) demonstrate to a court that he is serious about being a responsible parent.

as far as sherry johnston’s guilt or innocence, i absolutely agree that one is innocent until proven guilty, but a finding of probable cause is made prior to an arrest and i do not think it at all unreasonable for me, as an individual, based on the facts in the public record about SJ, to conclude that she is of bad character. (to suggest that palin had SJ set up in this instance is completely laughable.)

when i opined that the baby should not be allowed to spend time at SJ’s home without supervision, i was not saying that levi’s visits should be supervised but that his mother’s house is inappropriate and any visits with her present should be supervised.

as far as my experience with court supervised visitation (and parenting classes), i do not have any direct personal experience except 27 years of transcribing DSS and court matters involving that issue.

are child welfare agencies perfect? far from it. but the question i was addressing was whether SJ is any kind of appropriate caretaker for her son’s child.

there seem to be quite a few people here who are allowing their distaste for la palin to color their judgment where the johnstons are concerned. it was those type of comments that i was responding to in my somewhat lengthy comment.

some of the comments reacting to my comment seem pretty hostile. i have always thought of mudflats as a friendly place and that the comment thread was for open and free discussion of different viewpoints. i have no interest in spending any time in an echo chamber.

i have no problem with people pointing out that i am wrong or that they disagree with me but i do have a problem with people attempting to shout me down.
