This week @ I Heart The Mudflats
17 05 2009Hi everyone! Charcoal Sniper P here. This is my first time writing the Sunday wrap up for I Heart The Mudflats.
Mudpuppy News -
It has been another week of sad news here on The Mudflats. Many of you know Womanwithsardinecan – her son Nehemiah has passed away. You can see some wonderful photos of him on this post here – Hiatus – he was a gorgeous young man taken far too soon.
Womanwithsardinecan requests – Please donate to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary or Miranda’s Rescue in lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy.
The last couple of weeks have been a reminder to us all that we are here for a good time, not for a long time. I found this comment from Martha Unalaska Yard Sign, who is the sister of womanwithsardinecan -
Please everyone, take the extra moment to tell your friends and family that you love them. Bypass a couple of arguments. Laugh a little more. Don’t stay mad. Visit as often as you can. Take lots of pictures, even if they are just in your head. Be good to those you love and let them be good to you.
A Special Announcement -
After much encouragement from AKMuckraker and Snoskred, Lynnrockets has created a blog! This is fantastic news for mudpuppies. In even better news, Lynnrockets will be aiming their songwriting talents at some new and very worthy targets on the new blog.
Make sure to drop by and welcome Lynnrockets to the blogosphere at Lynnrockets’ Blast-Off.

Well done Charcoal!
I love the blog theme that Lynnrockets has gone with – just quietly I have downloaded it to have a play on my test blog.
We’ve emailed back and forth a few times with questions and answers to them and Lynnrockets knows I’m here to help with any bloggy questions, cos starting out as a blogger can be pretty overwhelming.
I actually have all the mudpuppy blogs in my bloglines blog reader which means anytime they update I get a copy of their new post. For anyone who might be interested in using a blog reader –

Lynnrockets – if you are reading this – can you let mudpuppies know if you found blogging easier than you expected? They might be thinking of starting their own blog, too.

Hello, folks:
I can’t thank all of you enough for the help and encouragement with my new blog-thing. I’m not going anywhere ,however, so as long as the terrific moderators here at The Mudflats can tolerate me, I’ll continue to post comments. Not too many songs though because I don’t want to disrupt the flow of conversation. You might be surprised to see that I can comment in a serious vein “also, too.”
In fact, on a more serious note, I would like to extend my thoughts and prayers to all who have suffered (in so many ways) the last week or so. You will always hold a special place in my thoughts.
Oh, and LET’S GO CELTICS!!!

the shrimp is tiny. it is in an ecosphere. sometimes it will come up from the bottom where it sleeps and eats. darndest thing i have ever seen. it responds more to my partner. it seems to like deep voices.

6 lynnrockets – You’re on my faves , right under mudflats !! I forwarded your link to a friend who teaches creative writing at Texas State University.

bubbles – well , if it’s in an ecosphere , I’m assuming that you don’t have to feed it. This might be helpful.

Although Lynnrockets’ reconstituted lyrics took up a bunch of space, I missed reading her (?) regular contributions… and, as ya alls know, ya can’t have too many members of Red Sox nation chiming in!
Now… where did that rascally Babette get off to. …

To all the mudpuppies who wrote on womanwithsardinecan’s blog about her son, thank you all for the kind words of support. I never realized until now how much that really does help. Each voice has something to give, each one is heard. Thank you again from the bottom of my broken heart.
