Open Thread – Spare Brain?

brain

Many times in life I’ve wished for a spare brain when mine seems to get too full, and I feel like trading in for one with more memory. I was walking along the trail the other day, looked down and saw that thing. It was rather alarming at first. I’m sure it’s some kind of fungus, but it made me laugh because it looks like a tiny brain, just sitting there doing nothing on the trail. It’s about the size of a golf ball and a half.

I agree with aeroentropy, it looks like a puffball. When young, they are nice fried in butter and garlic. When they get old, though, they go all black inside and when squeezed, they erupt in little puffs of black spores.

How totally uncreative of me… my first thought and no doubt the first reaction of almost anyone who is addicted to mudflats was – OK, there’s her brain – but Where’s (the rest of) Sarah???? Just sayin’ also.

It really is such a shame that the beautiful and awesome state of Alaska has had to suffer under so much nasty “Northern exposure.” I know it is impossible for her to just shut up and stay out of the lime light, and thus keep her kids out of the nastiness of all the negative publicity she brings on them – as someone else said, she will do anything for publicity, she craves the attention… and ya gotta feel sorry for her, she doesn’t realize she has outgrown that little wink and you betcha…
What if she did something POSITIVE for Alaska for a change? What if she tended to the real business of being a governor? What if she actually acted as if she cared about the people of Alaska, not just the hockey scores and her few worshipers… Wouldn’t it be nice if she took the pressure off her family by disappearing for a while – like to her office – to the areas in need – out among the people that need a strong governor, not a publicity hound, er pitbull, whatever. A kinder, gentler Sarah… one who doesn’t parade her children around for the world to see. If she really wanted to protect them, she would have left them home in the first place. Sadly, she will never realize how she brought this on herself and on her family, will she?

-No, she won’t ever see it. Nor will she see why people hate her for all that anti-black, Obama is a terrorist who needs to be killed or Letterman is a sexual pervert who supports “child rape” chatter.

She is a vile creature and we can expect nothing but the worst from her. She is too stupid to play a hand even when she has one. Tourist survives night ride on side of Australian train

Chad Vance, 19, from Alaska was travelling on the legendary Ghan train from Adelaide to Alice Springs when a late return to the station during a scheduled stop threatened to leave him stranded hundreds of miles from his destination.

He chased the train as it pulled away then clambered up the side of the tain and squeezed into a tiny stairwell between carriages.

The train had gone over 120 miles before a Ghan crew member heard the Alaskan student’s cries for help and brought the train to an emergency halt, rescuing Mr Vance from almost certain death

How can they both overlook her exact age? What parent would misquote their daughter’s age? If her birthdate is correct according to media records, then she would be 1and a half year older; that would indicate a dangerous couple that would say anything to misalign evidence just to get sympathy and people on their side. What other things would they lie about?

Comment #1 If Willow was born in July of 1994 (one source I saw says), then she is still 14. I’d hate to think GINO would lie about something so easily checkable. Let me rephrase. I wouldn’t put it past her, but it seems a petty thing. And it overlooks the bigger Lie which GINO is hawking: that Dave was not talking about a Palin girl getting knocked up in reference to the Palin girl in the news who had, in fact, gotten knocked up, possibly twice, but of course the poor innocent child Willow, which makes Dave the scum of the earth because how DARE he make jokes about underage children?? Even though the joke is really about Elliot Spitzer, Alex Rodree-whatever (Doesn’t GINO know to pronounce Hispanic names?) and Sarah, but again, that’s beside the point, too. Furthermore, whether or not Willow was actually spotted at the game or not is beside the point too, so I wish people would stop trying to claim she wasn’t there. If she wasn’t, it’s just one more SP lie, and if she was, well, whatever. I haven’t seen any footage of her, so her presence must not have been all that note-worthy. Either way, the “fact” that it was Willow at the game (says SP) is not proof that Dave was referring to HER and not the in-the-news knocked up daughter. Whatever, SP. I love Dave waaaay more than you and totally love the way he “apologized” to you. Ha! Loved that he affirmed the slutty flight attendant joke too. Proof of his joke is that you felt the need to “marm down” your look. Like we don’t know exactly what you are trying to do.

Comment #2 You all beat me to it, but when I saw the “brain” my immediate response was “Oh, let’s not disparage flight attendants”…LOL… no, my immediate reaction was “Well, that sure explains what’s happened to GINO; no wonder she acts like she’s scattered and addled and out of touch with reality–the woman lost her mind out on the trail while jogging!!

Just watched the Oreilly/Joan Walsh discussion(?) if you can call it that. He is a bully. He pushes everything to a personal level and bounces around like Palin. He puts out a different level of “word salad” but it’s “word salad” just the same. Love that term!

But my focus is a statement made in the comments. Fetus’s do not have any rights under our constitution until they are born. Basically from conception till age maturity, which differs across different states. The mother is responsible.

So why the concern? Women’s rights plain and simple. My favorite statement is that if men could have babies, abortion would be a sacrament. But I’m pretty sick of it all. the screamers, ranters, bullies, etc. We need to stand strong and firm in who we are and what we believe for women’s rights (and everyone’s rights) in a humane and compassionate manner–and stop the screaming, bullying, abusiveness, and the killing. Period.

Women have come a long way and not come a long way. The conservative right uses every trick they can to get what they want. Sick mouthpieces all of them. It’s a draw for power and fame, be it 15 minutes or 15 years.

At the end of this clip, OR stops everything and turns next to Palin. I’m rambling, but this brings me to my AKM open comment response: The iceberg. What is Alaska’s biggest iceberg? What do you see minimally on the surface with the greatest depths below — the Exxon oil spill. I think AKM hits the nail on the head in her short story. The story bothers me, but it is so true. It expresses a strong opinion held by many, both in AK and here in the lower 48. Dealing with Exxon IS like sleeping with the devil.

I think this the iceberg. SP is the distraction like all the noise that has been put out by conservatives over the years. I reread stories about the oil spill and the cleanup and the scars that are still there. As long as we weep and wail over SP and her outrageous behaviors, the “fishpicker” and the “fishpicker’s” wife and family, we lose. But at the same time, I think we need to continue to call her and her ilk down at every chance.

Whether it’s oil energy, gas energy, wind, or solar, SP isn’t much of an expert. but she has a lot of mouth and hollers “word salad” just like oreilly. Do they have a special class/seminar on how to “shout out”.

I think this deal has been in the works for a long, long time. Maybe just as long as the court case over the oil spill. My experience with upper level managers down here tells me that. Is Sarah just the mouthpiece/distraction to keep everyone busy while the details are ironed out. People like her are very easy to read and so easy to manipulate.

I think it is now very important to really look at energy issues. Read and reread the details of this deal, the history, and look at whose involved. Is it really so viable or are there other, safer options. If Exxon or any other company has invested billions in the oil fields, they just don’t want to walk away and lose that money. If a gas pipeline is built and incurs many losses over time, its building, existence, and then abandonment makes more economic business logic in an annual financial report.

But who pays? I have read (don’t remember where) that a lot the oil from Alaska and now the gas will go to the far east. Lower 48 won’t get anything. Alaska may get money back annually, but the irony is the cost of fuel.

Sorry to ramble on. I would like to visit Alaska someday and see its beauty, not the scars. Please keep an eye on this deal. .

We, down here in the lower 48, and you in Alaska, need to focus on the real needs, healthcare, children, education, and keeping the environment from tragic accidents. Shannyn made a very succinct comment: Hate is the antichrist. We need to work against hatred at every level.

Keep up the work Alaska bloggers. Keep the focus in the right direction and keep the heat on. I can’t seem to post to Immoral Minority, so I am posting here in reply to a couple of topics. Thanks for all the intense investigation and postings from all of you.

Someone here gave a link to a story the LA Times did and they completely
‘ trashed ‘ Letterman. I don’t remember the day or headline now. They used Faux News and Todds comments as the truth and just continued the lies.

I sent an email to their paper totally asking them if they even saw Daves show before they even wrote the story because what they ‘reported’ as the News, never happened. I asked them directly..” Did you watch the Show?”

I pointed out at least 5 huge errors with their reporting and questioned their credibility and journalistic integrity as well in my email.
This was how the paper responded to my points and questions…

Interesting how she tried to look like a prim school teacher in the interviews about Letterman – NOT! Look at the hair (OMG awful), the dark clothes, and don’t forget to notice the ever present sneer. Where are the streaked hair extensions, red shoes & toenail decals which she was so proud of just a day or two before?

She couldn’t possibly show up to the interviews displaying the “look” that attracted the first Letterman joke – I’m surprised she didn’t dress Willow in a Little House on the Prairie dress, bonnet and maybe a binkie to drag on stage with her to show just how dastardly and awful David Letterman’s joke was. It’s her style – smoke and mirrors. She’s stuck with it – and people are fast catching on to her game. She doesn’t have many options except to keep throwing fireballs. It’s who she is, and it’s beginning to wear on people who previously ignored her.

I stumbled upon some more news about the Palin/Lettermen fued yesterday. This article explores Palin’s political actions/lack of action in regard to under-funding public safety. House Finance Co-Chair Mike Hawker, R-Alaska has a few things to say about Palin. Maybe this has already been posted…sorry if this is a repeat but I found this article very insightful and just had to share.

I can’t believe Palin can even suggest that Lettermen appologize to ALL women when it seems she should be appologizing to all the women and families of Alaska for her lack of public safety funding to help victims of sexual abuse and domestic violence, especially in rural AK!

So what do people think of Mike Hawker? From what I have read from time to time, he seems like a pretty level headed guy.

Anyway, here’s a link to the story with a few lines of the article copied and pasted below.

    http://www.ktva.com/ci_12581858

…”On NBC’s Today Show Palin said, “I would like to see him (Letterman) apologize to young women across the country for contributing to that thread that runs through our culture that makes it sound like it’s OK, accepted and funny to talk about statutory rape. It’s not cool. It’s not funny.”

One powerful state lawmaker, however, says Palin is doing a bad job funding sexual exploitation solutions.

House Finance Co-Chair Mike Hawker, R-Alaska, is highlighting the fact Alaska has the nation’s highest domestic violence and sexual assault rates, and says the governor is under-funding public safety.

Hawker’s accusations sound very similar to those made during Troopergate. He says Palin’s bad family-Public Safety Department relationship is playing out with the governor poorly funding that department, including efforts to fight sexual assault…..”

Then she packed her bag and took her David Letterman’s a Pervert Tour to CNN, where she tried it out on Wolf Blitzer, on “The Situation Room.”

“[Letterman] said he made a mistake,” Blitzer began. “He said, ‘Yeah, it was probably in bad taste.’ Are you willing to forgive and forget?”

“I will always forgive whomever is asking for forgiveness,” Palin said, before tearing into Letterman again:

    SNIP….

Blitzer, like Lauer before him, tried to get Palin to acknowledge that Letterman had gone on national TV to say the joke was a reference to the 18-year-old daughter whom Palin did not name, and who, like Palin says, has a “young family.”

A statement from the CEO of the IGHL, who you would think would research their keynote speaker/participant as to their advocacy work and being a political figure, their actual policies on the disabled before picking them. Seems they too operate with a clouded agenda, much the same as the hollow sound of Candie’s Foundation/Candie’s Corporate.

IMO it puts their credibility into question as to their intent to actually help these kids and adults. Would make me want to have their books checked for what these funds are used for when you have comments from a CEO like this. Gives me that creepy feeling once more of a charity raising funds which actually is for their personal use providing a minimal amount in order to keep their tax exemption. (This is my opinion which may be wrong but statements like this have a habit of bad taste being left behind).

“We need people out there to talk for us,” said Walter W. Stockton, IGHL’s chief executive officer. “She represents hope to all those families who also have the burden of taking care of their special needs children.”

Although Stockton can’t say what type of advocacy work Palin has done on behalf developmentally disabled children, he said her popularity and high-profile status makes her an effective spokeswoman for the group and that’s why Palin was chosen as this year’s honoree.

In his story, He is quoted as saying Dave is based in NY , the NY Yankees are in NY, and so would know exactly (all the details )who was at the game and which daughter etc…

Letterman’s show is taped at 5:30 PM. The Yankees played at 7:05 PM. Are we really faulting Dave for not knowing that Willow, not Bristol, was planning to attend the game 95 minutes later.

And if the taping is at 5:30 the jokes are put together by their writers hours before and discussed to see which make the final cut. (probably that Morning ) and then go to the cue cards. The logic of the Palin Fans sometime leave out the logical facts. Say it loud and fast and hopefully no one will dispute it.

I tried to post a comment. It didn’t show. It had no comments from today and stayed at 72. I was going to post the Conan jokes and point out the numerous times Conan used Bristol in jokes.

I have two ideas on the subject: (1) Her plan backfired because she didn’t realize she cannot get the job done without them, or (2) This was her plan all along. She wanted to look like she was standing up to Big Oil for Alaskans, but really, she knew that eventually she would be in bed with them…probably happily. Big Oil has deep pockets, but I wonder if they would support her in a bid for the WH. I’m sure there probably are numbers 3, 4, and more, that I haven’t thought of.

While he played in just 20 games this season and never dressed for the playoffs, I’m sure that he was a proud cheerleader. Unfortunately for Chris, his name will not be on the cup. There are qualifications that one must meet to have that honor, and Chris did not meet them. I’m sure that his contribution to the team this year gives him bragging rights, and rightly so, but he did not win the cup, as Sarah states. Have you all had the experience of watching/listening to, Colin Farrell?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIL3K2iGzYs He is true to heart an articulate, generous, lovely person who overcame (KNOCK ON WOOD) his need to preserve himself in drink & drugs.

I never paid much attention to him until I saw, In Bruges. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoE9edjEDCI The trailer, does not due justice to the complexity or the complete genius of the story, characters, moral. The bits above seem to be a light comedy but it is honestly, a journey into depths of human emotion that truly cannot be described.

Perhaps for no one else unless you have seen the film, will minute 1:27 here be of tremendous humor.

A radio actuality is a group of sound bites sent out to radio stations to be used in news reports. Each file is a small collection of quotes on various subjects, with a short pause between each separate quote.

Oh Lord, I don’t know where else to go with this. I just got a call from my daughter in CA. My son-in-law is in the ICU with three skull fractures, a swollen bleeding brain. He’s in critical condition, strapped down because he keeps fighting and he’s very strong. He’s not conscious. The medical folks suspect brain damage, but won’t know anything until they can stop the bleeding and get the swelling down. The drain for his head keeps clogging and they have had to replace/clear it several times. He has been there since Thursday night. He decided to take a quick ride on his new electric scooter without his helmet which was in his friend’s car who just went to get sodas for the riding around on the fair grounds. The friend came back 10 minutes later and found him. Reconstructed it looks like he fell and hit his head on old half buried railroad tracks, bounced and hit his head again on the scooter. He apparently was knocked out, got up and tried to stop the bleeding with his t-shirt then passed out and hit his head again. He’s only 33. She’s been at the hospital for two days and just got clear enough to call me. I can’t call my husband at work, not allowed. He won’t be home for another few hours. I’m up here and there isn’t anything I can do except “pray to all the gods and goddesses you know” as my daughter asked me. I just had to share with someone. He’s such a good guy and my daughter sounds numb.

Beautiful. Palin at a Yankees game with Guliani.
Guliani’s got a ton of ethics issues of his own – hired/appointed unqualified pals to key government positions, like Dept. of Corrections and Police Commissioner. Used public resources to facilitate having an affair with his communications director. Called a press conference to publicly dump his wife, without telling her first. His kids changed their names and didn’t invite him to graduation.

Sarah must know, she must have seen it on ESPN, that the Yankees are called the “Evil Empire”, referencing Ronald Regean?
“The evil empire extends its tentacles even into Latin America” – Red Sox Pres. Lucchino, New York Times.
She knows that, right, Meg Stapleton? Seeing as how she named her daughter after ESPN’s headquarters in Bristol, CT.

Any halfway intelligent person (or sports fan) knows that the target of the joke was Yankee player Alex Rodriguez (A-Rod, hellooo?) and the sex/drugs/rock’n'roll lifestyle of baseball. He’s twisted up in the media with the steroids issue and fooling around with celebrity women: Vegas showgirls, Playboy bunnies, Madonna, Kate Hudson.
“When people write [bad things] about me, I don’t know if it’s [because] I’m good-looking, I’m biracial, I make the most money, I play on the most popular team.” Sports Illustrated.

Theres no question the joke is that Rodriguez is not to be trusted with Bristol Palin. It had nothing to do with any other Palin.

Bristol Palin voluntarily appears on international broadcast television and in People Magazine more than once, publically discussing her sexual activity, with her dad beaming. She and Levi used condoms, except when they didn’t. Her mother issues press releases on the State of Alaska website. She signs with Candie’s, famous for its sexually-explicit and provocative marketing to teenagers, featuring Britney Spears.
Candieâs controversial marketing campaign featured MTVâs Jenny McCarthy. One print ad showed McCarthy applying fingernail polish, while another showed her singing into a showerhead, scantily clad in a glittering red dress. Another had McCarthy seated on the toilet with her underpants down at her Candie’s slides. There was a nude version run by Spin magazine.
Glamor and InStyle rejected an advertisement in which McCarthy, wearing a saucy red dress, lounged on the pool table in a stuffy men’s club with a roll of toilet paper stuck to the sole of her shoe. There was a kitchen scene in which McCarthy sat on the sink wearing casual, ankle-high shoes, leering at a plumber crouched under the sink with low-riding jeans exposing part of his backside.

Well done, Meg. All the way around. A very successful east coast PR tour.

You mentioned that he had canceled his insurance to save money..?
You might be worried about ‘ that’ but let me tell you my previous situation.

I am only about an hour away from you/that Hospital btw. I was working for a Temp Agency about 3 years ago.. and so I had no insurance as well. I was not feeling well from the previous day so I went to the hospital to get checked out. Bad stomach ache I thought. Walked in Friday, they checked me out, and said I was going to go to the Operating Room right then. Bad appendix. I was released on Sunday after being in there about day and a half.
I got the bill later that week… 28K for a day and a half
( I think this was a “Catholic Healthcare Hospital”… can look it up)

Wondering how I was going to pay that was making me even more sick. Since I had no insurance I filled out forms listing my assets, debts, what I was making. It was submitted to a Hospital Review Board to look over. Short story… they decided to write it off. They emphasized this was a ‘ one-time’ thing for me.
I still had to pay obligations to the anesthegeoligist , private DR involved and Lab work company, but the 28K they wrote off.

That is just one option that might be available to your family down the road. They could review it and reduce the bill substantially as well. Just don’t worry about the insurance part at this point.
I’ll try to remember the name of the Hospital as well.

I cannot make the sparrow fly,
    Nor can I understand
What makes the clouds hang in the sky,
But I know One who can.

I cannot make the ocean waves
    Dash forth against the land;
I cannot help the soul that craves,
But I know One who can.

I cannot hear the humble prayers
    Of those of foreign clans;
I cannot ease their wants and cares,
But I know One who can.

I cannot lead the erring ones
    With mine own trembling hand;
Nor yet restore the hope that’s gone,
But I know One who can.

I cannot see the broken hearts
    That long for joy again;
Nor can I mend the broken parts,
But I know One who can.

I cannot heal the many ills
    That come so oft to man;
I cannot give the joy that fills,
But I know One who can.

I cannot know why trials fall
    Within our life’s short span;
But my God understands it all,
And He’s the One who can!

OK, listen up everybody! I’ve got the final be-all, end-all proof that Sarah Palin was lying about Willow being the subject of the “joke” by David Letterman (big surprise, huh?).

In addition to what we’ve already realized, that so far there’s no visual proof that Willow Palin was ever at that Sunday June 7th Yankee game….

According to this phrase in The New York Daily News — which’d I’d read before, I just didn’t realize the significance of it — “the Palins left sometime in the sixth inning for the [Independent Group Home Living Foundation] award ceremony honoring Palin.”

The Yankee game started at 1:10 PM EDT on Sunday June 7th. It wasn’t a nighttime game.

The 6th inning was around 3:00 PM in the afternoon, which would have given the Palins lots of time to get to the awards ceremony.

Therefore, even if a photo of Willow being at that game ever does surface — if the Palins left in the 6th inning, they wouldn’t have been there for the 7th inning, which is when a Palin daughter was supposedly being “knocked up” by Alex Rodriguez!

David Letterman’s “apology under duress” is a valid apology.

Sarah Palin, you are SUCH a liar.

Sending good thoughts to redwoodmuse. Hoping for the best for your family.

#254 sjk from the belly of the plane…Yeah, I saw the fund raiser for the Palin Defense Fund. I just have to wonder who asked them to do this. How would they know there is a need unless they were informed by someone associated with the fund? From the fact they are holding a fund raiser to raise money for a fund raiser, I assume they haven’t accumulated as many dollars as they want. Or maybe they haven’t raised enough for Sarah, her family, friends, and associates to take a slice of the pie.

Wonder what type of fund they will set up next…one to send Piper to camp? Funds to hire a make-up artist for Sarah?

“This just might be Sean Hannity’s looniest attack ever

Sean Hannity once again proves that he’s the guy who put the ‘a’ in moron, this time by pushing the bizarre myth that earlier this week President Obama called the U.S. “a Muslim nation.”

Thanks so much to everyone. So much emotions and feelings going on. My daughter called with a tiny piece of good news. The bleeding in his brain has stopped finally. This is the first positive change since he was brought in Thursday afternoon. Now, we have to get the swelling to go down. Not sure what the numbers mean (brain pressure maybe) but they want 8 and below. He’s sitting at 10, but it fluctuates and has been as high as 32. He’ll be sedated into Monday as they are trying to give him time to rest and stabilize. He still hasn’t become conscious and when he comes out of the light sedation he grabs to pull out the tubes so they had to restrain him, but his pulling even loosened the restraints. He’s a really strong young man and that is in his favor. He does have a neurologist (from Stanford she thinks) and he’s right on the case. So, right now it is a waiting game. Prayers to all gods and goddesses help as does holding him in the healing light. Thank you all for your good thoughts. I believe they have already made a difference.

    @John(Canadian MudPuppy)

Thanks for the prayer. I’ve printed it out. While I am not a Christian, (I walk a Nature path) I believe in an All That Is. And I believe that all prayers are heard and appropriate results are granted, sometimes beyond my limited understanding. My experience shows that to be true. Besides, it is a beautiful piece of writing.

Congratulations, Mudpuppies! Because of your dedication to Alaskan Politics and your love for the Governess, you are the privileged few. You, yes, you get to see an advanced copy of Sarah’s official autobiography about her time in the Presidential campaign!

Now, you might be wondering how I can offer this to you. Easy. I’m her Ghostwriter. Yes, Sarah chose one of your own to help her pen her story.

Today, I’m posting under a nom de plume. Yep a nom de plume for my usual nom de plume. Not only am I an anonymous poster, I’m anonymously anonymous! The only thing you’ll know for sure about my identity is that I’m not you.

My apologies up front to Australians, men named Joe, women named Sarah, people who love red, the Secret Service, and L. Frank Baum. And thanks to Bakers Dozen for sparking this creative trip with a previous posting, also too.
One note for those foreigners among you. The VP lives in the mansion at the Naval Observatory.

Sarah and the Geezer of Oz

    Part One

Sarah, the gun totin’ moose eatin’ Alaskan witch Governor of the North-North West was making moose chili in the Hockey Rink Palace one day when she got a call from some minion asking her if she wanted to relocate to the Naval Observatory. “Hmmm. Navel gazing,” thought Sarah. I’m, like, also too qualified for that, you betcha!”

“If you want the job, click those Red Monkeys together three times and say, ‘There’s no place like Minnesota.’ But remember not to blink” Well, Sarah, being an opportunist, didn’t blink. She was whisked away by a Grand Ole’ Prariewind (hereafter known as a GOP).

“So that’s how you get things done. Just wish and click. I can to that,” thought Sarah. “Learned it at U of I when I sent in the boxtop and my 50 cents.”

Upon landing, Sarah found she’d trodden on several little people, killing them in the process. However, death and destruction were natural to her, so she took no notice. It turned out that the little people weren’t of small stature, but simply were less important than she. Their high, squeaky voices were the result of having been originally taught to talk in the 1950’s by Alvin and the Chipmunks (hired by Joe McCarthy) and was perpetuated by their frequent and breathless repetitions of party line. Sarah fondly named them Munchkins to help denote their pet status and unimportance. She promptly forgot the name, which was no matter, since she never used it again, anyway. She gave her lipstick on a pitbull speech, and passed off all her “troubled assets” as rock solid. The Munchkins, dressed in red, cheered.

“So this is Oz,” she mused. “I always thought is was a state in the nation of Africa, but here I find myself on an island continent surrounded by the Great Ocean Pacific (hereafter known as the GOP). I love being surrounded by GOP! I think I can see the Hockey Rink Palace from here!”

Redwoodmuse…….I walk a nature’s path as well. My thoughts and best wishes are with you. I have been through a similar tragedy in my family. Stay close and love each other. I’m glad to hear there is a glimmer of good news. I just logged on a while ago and haven’t yet read all the posts, but I did read all of yours. Stay strong for your daughter. She will draw strength from you. Strength draws and builds strength. Hugs to you and your family.

Eedwoodmuse – that sounds like good news, you were the first thing I thought about this morning and logged on to see if there was any news even before I got dressed. Was very happy for you that it was optimistic news, SIL sounds like a very fit, strong, determined man, that will be in his favour. Let us know if there is more news, I know we are all thinking of you and your family.

It was late when I posted my “Sarah is a LIAR – gone in the 6th – knocked up in the 7th” post above, so I didn’t read any other postings.

Redwoodmuse, my heart goes out to you and your family, and I’ll be thinking of all of you as I go through my daily activities. I hope you and your hubby are able to go to your daughter to help. What are families for but to support each other?

    And we’re a family here, too….what, Team Mudpup? :) You guys/gals rock!
