OMIGosh, we are in a new to us house in Washington. 8 acres with grass over 5 ft tall. There is something HUGE living in the woods by the stream. I tried to find elk sounds on line trying to identify with no match. My husband works in AK. He won’t be back until next week. I am a prisoner.

Wise to this stargregation, Sylvester McMonkey McBean entered the scene and “put together a very particular machine” that put stars upon the bellies of the Plain-Belly Sneetches for three dollars each.
So what do we soon have? All Sneetches with stars upon thars!
Clever McBean didn’t end there, for he realized the original Star-Belly Sneetches became distinctly aware… with all sneetches now resembled alike, their upturned noses and sense of betterment could now take a hike!
What did entraprenuer McBean offer to the upper classes? A new opportunity to separate the masses. For ten dollars eaches, his new Star-Off Machine would remove the stars upon the upper-crust Sneetches.
(You see what’s happening here, don’t you?)
So in and out of the machinery all the Sneetches would go, to add stars, to remove stars, to forefront the show. Meanwhile, McBean’s money pile continues to grow, and when the Sneetches would realize their folly, nobody would know.
(This went on for some time: the Star-Bellied Sneetches would get their belly stars removed, while the Plain-Belly Sneetches would get stars added. The snooty Sneetches attempt at one-up-Sneetchmanship just wouldn’t work. McBean exploited this, preying on this familiar Sneetchy nature.)
“They are doomed to this cycle!,” the reader must think. That is… until Seuss mirrors McBean as a wonderful fink. As McBean drove off with his money and machine, Seuss restores our faith in the Star- and No-Star Sneetch regime.

She claims that comments made by Mr. Letterman can somehow in her mind be connected with the abuse of young women by older men and contributes toward the low self esteem of the young women in our country, and yet she is has willing appeared on a television show that had her husband portrayed as having sexual relations with her daughters, she has been a guest on a local Alaskan radio show that made fun of a local politician who happened to be the State Senate President and laughed while these two men (Bob & Mark) made fun of this woman and Governor Palin laughed while they called this woman who had survived cancer a “cancer & a bitch”. Did she attempt to defend this woman? No, Did she voice her own dismay at that kind of talk? No. What did she do? Nothing until local papers started complaining about her poor behavior especially in light of the fact that she was the Governor, then and only then did she attempt to excuse her behavior by claiming that she was unprepared for what they were going to say. WEAK! Now, how do you claim that with a straight face, when you have stayed on air with these two while they have continued to malign and degrade this woman throughout the show?
She is also a guest on occasion of Eddie Burke who has called women with whom he disagreed with .” socialist baby-killing maggots”.
Is she bothered enough to avoid or even call out Eddie Burke? No, rather she is a guest on his show, her daughter has called in to his show. Is she setting a good example or is she simply willing to ignore behavior she claims to be disgusted by if it somehow benefits her, with ratings, a media voice, or an open platform with which to spew her own brand of divisiveness.
How can she suddenly claim to be worried about how young women are treated when refuses to call out the people in her own state?

I have been keeping up with what is going on in Iran but it really doesn’t matter4 much IMO who wins the Clergy have control of the country and the president is just a figure head From what I have been reading they locked down most things including cell phones.Could our government stop our internet use by shutting it down?Makes one wonder when hearing China and now Iran has.

Ha! Scott Richter is way cute – he wasn’t hanging round Sarah Palin’s raggy old body. As soon as he started getting media attention for owning ppty in common with the Palins, he asked to have his personal contact details sealed – so the media would leave him alone. The petition was denied because he merely wanted to protect his privacy – there were no legal grounds attaching to the divorce proceedings that warranted their sealing.
I love the photos. That Brian is a very social moose!!
I am frustrated beyond anything. One time I was able to log on and hear Shannyn after many attempts but haven’t been able to since. I’ve tried both Shannyn’s site link, Mudflats link, KYBR (?) link & everytime it’s the same – it freezes up and gives me an error message which kicks me completely out of the internet. A few times it’s even frozen my computer & I have to restart. Any ideas anyone? I’m going through Explorer.
Kat – try downloading Mozilla Firefox and use that instead of Internet Explorer.
Internet Explorer does not work very well for many things on the internet today.
