Astounding.
Eddie Burke wouldn’t happen to be a fan of Rush Limbaugh, would he? Looks like he’s got a hero he’s trying to emulate.
What a little man for being so…er…rotund.
And this is a man that our governor shows public support of???
Does she- actually, ALL of our elected representatives- realize her job is to promote the needs and wishes of the entire state, and not just groups within the community?
I’m continually ashamed of my state. For being so “Christian” people like this are so hateful, mean spirited, and just plain vile.

Agree. I can’t stop thinking about Eddie’s tshirt. I would like Palin to explain this Media Personality’s off color joke like she expected from David Letterman.

No, Eddie remains on the air because controversy sells. People like him, O’Reilly, Hannity, Savage, Beck, Rush, Malkin et.al are adept at driving hate and controversy and people tune it to hear it. Many people listen because they agree, many listen because they don’t…but people do listen.

I know lots of Alaskan boys that can’t understand why you would want to hate on someone for reasons that are really not another person’s business. I grew up in Alaska – in Fairbanks and Anchorage – and I cannot recall a single male friend who is homophobic. Live and let live. To each their own. Who am I to say? All these are the phrases I grew up with here.

As a lifelong Alaskan let me point out to you a common personality trait amongst most of us. Boredom. Yeah the mountains are great, can’t live without ‘em – yadda yadda – but really, we are bored. Bored of the same people at the same office at the same grocery store. We tolerate the boredom because every once in awhile we catch a really nice King Salmon =-) Not to mention access to some of the world’s wildest wilderness.

The only cure for this special Alaskan brand of boredom is new faces, new people – new cultures and frankly NEW HUMOR. All the real Alaskans I know really really love people and understand the value of individuals because for some of us – real people, I mean people that cut through the crap and make us laugh or smile or cry tears of joy – come along only once in a Blue Moon.

(My God how utterly tedious would be the life of an ABT’er, the same people spewing the same crap, making the same jokes, praying for the same damn thing – over and over and over).
