This was the gorgeous sunset on Thursday night.  It was taken in the last few seconds before the sun dipped behind the mountains across Cook Inlet.  Most sunsets are lovely here, but this one took my breath away.

Palin is Pallin’ Around With Plagiarists?

Todd Palin, that is.  That’s because the plagiarist is none other than the Governor, herself. Geoffrey Dunn over at Huffington Post read my transcript of Palin’s 17 minute introduction of Michael Reagan, and a little bell went off in his head.  He had a strange feeling he’d heard all this somewhere before…..(except in English)….. (insert harp music [...]

The Mystery of Prop 4 Solved? Strange Typo Suspected…

The mystery of Prop 4 may finally be solved.  Remember Proposition 4?  That was the Clean Water Act that would have prohibited large mines from contaminating salmon fisheries with nasty chemical toxins. And then remember when some mystery reporter popped up at a press conference and said “So by the way Governor, what do you think [...]

The moosecapades continue.  One of the nice things about summer is the cool backyard barbeques that seem to lure us outside to our friends’ houses until all hours of the night.  At this particular soiree, everyone seemed to want to share their libations with Brian.  He has obviously not learned that all-important “never mix wine and [...]

Governor Palin got a letter yesterday from House Democrats.  Seems they intend to vote to override her veto of $28.6 million in federal funds offered to the state of Alaska for energy relief. “I want to work with the governor as much as possible,” said Rep. Harry Crawford (D-Anchorage). “But my responsibility is to Alaskans [...]

DoJ Asks for Release of Kott and Kohring. No, I’m Not Kidding.

If you live in Alaska, sit down. The U.S.Justice Department this afternoon asked that two former Alaska state legislators imprisoned after convictions in public corruption cases be released, saying their trials were tainted by the failure of prosecutors to disclose favorable information. The rest of you may not know the characters involved in this little [...]

When the call came a couple days ago, and my friend asked me the question, I immediately imagined myself in one of those ads that try to get you to join the [...]
