I’ll be hanging out with Shannyn for a holiday Mudfest, and other surprise guests are rumored. Don’t miss it!

Now, Thomas Van Flein is blowing up Shannyn on the national media.  Huh??  Tune in!

Tune in to KBYR 700am from 5-7pm Alaska time, 6-8 Pacific and 9-11 Eastern.

When Shannyn is finished, stay tuned for two more hours of progressive talk with Mike Method’s “The Madness of Method” with special co-host CC!!!  She’s back!

********************************************

Here we go, live from the People’s Republic of Spenard!

Having a blast here in the studios.  Someone is asking about gravel problems in the flood zone in Eagle… Anyone know details?

Someone asked how to say Thank You to Sarah Palin for resigning.  How about a nice donation to the Rebuild Eagle Fund at Wells Fargo?  It will help residents in Eagle who have been affected by the historic flooding on the Yukon.  A good Alaskan cause!

Phone lines are buzzing!

Dennis Zaki called in!  Said in public for the first time that he was told by former Director of Communications Bill McAllister after Zaki was pulled off by the media list, he could be reinstated if he started to give Palin some good press.

KTVA Channel 11 was just in the studio filming.  Eek!  Gryphen and I were plastered against the wall to be off camera.  Brian may have made it on the news, though!

Lots of Mudflatters calling in!

Whew!  Great show.  Shannyn will not apologize.  She “will not be Letterman-ed”.  A new word!

This thread last night was like OLD TIMES here on the Mudflats!

Remember when it was like a huge 12 Step Program to band together to get through one of her speeches or (gasp) the mind bending wink-wink debate. (Oh Gawd just the thought of it makes me ill!) Everyone’s safety back-up through all that was having that renowned therapist – Dr. Jack Daniels – close at hand just in case.

When I heard her speech on my car radio while out shopping on Friday, this image of her INNER MENTAL STATE came to mind as I listened in shocked disbelief from red light to red light going about my tasks:

What a long, strange trip it’s been.

    A couple of thoughts:
Dillingham is an hour and ten minutes flight-time west of Anchorage. Looking at a map, it’s the far left coast on the Bering Sea. It is ‘off-road’, inaccessible except by plane or boat.
Wasilla is 60 miles north of Anchorage, on the road system, as you head to Denali.
No one would ever, for any reason, ship building materials from Dillingham to Wasilla. It’s simply not cost-effective. Even if you owned your own cargo plane. Anything landed in D’ham gets there by container ship or flown in at roughly $1/lb. This is why goods are so expensive. For example, shipping a vehicle costs $4,000 to $6,000.
That idea doesn’t merit any further discussion. _IF_ there were some kind of deal, it would take the shape of materials being shipped from a wholesaler in Seattle to Wasilla, through the Port of Anchorage. Dillingham Builders is an Ace Hardware store, also Dillingham Marina – Polaris and Skidoo snowmachines and ATVs, Lund skiffs, Evinrude and Yamaha outboards. Mom could have gotten him some good deals and reduced costs, but nothing like this.

Aussie Blue Sky, I think the point about the hardware store in Dillingham was not that he got any materials there, but that he would have learned something about working with building materials, which would support the claims that he did much of the work himself.
    __________

The Dud might have done some of the work himself but given the size of the house and the fine millwork (wood and metal), there’s no way he could have done that or done most of it by himself. The Dud may be a construction guy in a wildcat/oil driller sort of way, but he’s no more a millwork guy than is a farmer who occasionally repairs damage to his own barn. And who put together the architectural plans? Sure as hell wasn’t The Dud.

The federal agency we haven’t heard about is ATF. They were there after the church fire, and we never heard a resolution on that. Wouldn’t they have looked into the firearms charges also?
    _________

Yes. Investigating claims of gun running is part of what they do. ATF is not FBI or DOJ; they are Treasury.

sauerkraut, I know ATF used to be Treasury, but didn’t Bush move them back to Justice after 9/11?

The firearms I was referring to were the accusations connected to AIP. I don’t know anything secret.

If Sarah is going to “Shred, baby, shred” then the governor’s office better have an incinerator, because if *I* were a local mudpuppy I’d be cruising behind the offices the night before trash day and picking up every trash bag of shredded paper that there was for the next three weeks. If she doesn’t “Burn, baby burn” them, they can be reconstructed. Tedious, yes. Impossible, no.

And I’m wondering if she’d even bother to shred. Possibly just crumple and throw. She may be smarter than Todd but that’s not saying much.

She will need some time to move all of those unopened “gift” boxes to her house so she can “receive” them there and they can stay “undeclared”.

After reading hundreds and possibly a thousand comments on the blogs, I just posted this idea on the Forum. Has anyone thought about the possibility that she were threatened by impeachment? So many possibilities for her action are flying all over the news but no one seemed to think or comment about this.

Story about the Franken,O’Reilly story. Federal judge Chin seems to be a very fair minded judge at least IMO,I’m sure faux noise does not think so. By the way wasn’t Palin just down in Texas and I have to say they have a Blogger case down their in Houston that they keep trying to bring suit against and the courts in Houston are forum shopping to get a judge that will go along with the plaintiff.I think the Idea of the suit wasn’t for money it was actually cost the defendants money to fight and shut down the blog,Greta knows about this and I do not for one minute think she or her husband who have all the money from the Scientology’s behind them, would have told the Palins and her Attorney this so the could try it.

    jojobo1 Says:

Those Palin people actually think of her as Alaska Joan of Arc? LOL That’s a good one,She would have to be dead wouldn’t she?I just got on a while ago so it will take me a while to get thru the post Take care everyone Shannon, AKM and the rest watch your backs very carefully

    jojobo1 Says:

Snoskred I have some friends that I just found out read here and that is exactly what I told the Blog I was ionAKM may be political but she goes afterr anyone that does wrong not just Palin and if Palin tried to sue their are enough articles to prove this point

    jojobo1 Says:

greatgrammy1 Maybe a recall petition w2as out their .IMO the native villagers would surely sign it with the help she has not given them,I think someone said Alaska did not have impeachment only a recall ?????

The thousand cuts remark comes from the O’Quinn firm in Texas cause he keeps people in court to bankrupt them so they have to settle. JMO but it is a well know fact in Huston and on the net

mlaiuppa I wondered the same thing about the girls missing unless it is because of the big fight with Bristol,Bristol get out while you can.Shame on Palin for trying to shut Levi up,it makes it look like there is something she is hiding.

    jojobo1 Says:

One question why would the California FBI Know anything about the Palins or if the were being investigated or not. I think the DOJ will have all there ducks in a row before anything is leaked Just my thoughts.Remember she still seems to have McCain bamboozled if not his daughter. The FBI would not come forth with the fact that an investigation was ongoing .How stupid does van whatever his name is think people are?

    All I Saw Says:

No shredders in Wasilla – everyone uses a backyard burn barrel to get rid of paper goods. Our own community based recycling system =-)

  19. 969
    All I Saw Says:

as far as all the speculation about her resignation goes I think she’s GWBush all over again. instead of hating giv’t so much that she seeks elected office to efficiently and effectively destroy it from the inside out – Palin goes one step further by resigning ‘in protest’ to gov’t.

I would give up trying to find some nefarious reason behind the resignation, Palin is simply unable to work under conditions where she may be forced to answer for her policies.

I think AGIA is about to derail. The only ppl supportive of giving 1/2 billion dollars to a Canadian company to build a gas pipeline are the Palin cultists.

Used to be here that Alaska’s Republicans AND Democrats agreed Alaska’s resources should benefit Alaskans first.
