5 07 2009It was great fun being back on the Shannyn Moore Show on the 4th of July. Mudflatters from across the globe tuned in. I do love hearing your actual voices! After Shannyn’s show was over, Mike Method took over with special guest CC, a progressive voice that is sorely missed on the airwaves these days. It was great to see her sitting behind a microphone, and I snapped a couple shots before I left.

this is from The Immoral Minority blog……also some quotes from Shannyn to the media who is apparently very interested in her response.
BTW Shannyn will be on Countdown Monday! Look for Scarah to poke the hornet nest again? yet more popcorn? will she sue the network?
http://theimmoralminority.blogspot.com/
“Van Flein said he would need to meet with the Palins before pursuing an actual lawsuit, but Moore says she is ready.”
“Look let’s cut to the chase. The only reason that Palin targeted Shannyn is because she received air time on Hardball with David Shuster on Friday and that pissed Palin off. But now her attack ensures that Shannyn will get even more television time (She will be on Countdown on Monday), and that she can tell her side of the story over and over again. Well done Governor!”

I think it’s very cold hearted that the Palin’s are doing their annual fishing when the Alaskan Natives are facing a food shortage, again. The honorable “christian” governor “server heart” thing for her to do would be donate all those fish to the Native village food banks. Please do one nice thing before you abandon your post.
But I doubt she will, that’s worth $35,000 dollars to her money grubbin heart. And if she doesn’t I think she should be spotlighted and shamed for it. Was fishing in Bristol Bay regulated this year, isn’t every less Salmon in the water, less Salmon for the future?
Someone feel free to correct me if I’m off base here.

Posted earlier about Todd headed back to fishing, but it didn’t post.
She’s headed out to Dillingham. She’ll have a relaxing recovery from her breakdown and giving up her “title”.
She’ll be admired and stroked. They’ll go boating and do some sports fishing and campfires on the beach. She’ll regroup and refocus.
No cell service, no Twitter, no Blackberry. There is internet, so maybe she’ll manage things that way.

Sorry if this is already out here:
From the twits tweets:
“Funny! In the words of my sis:Aren’t the same ones w/fake twitter sites & blogs crying “she’s ‘abandoning’ us” the same ones wishing u gone?about 22 hours ago from TwitterBerry”
Okay – I’ll admit it – I’m conflicted about this. What I really wanted was for her to stop being the tabloid queen, get to work, and be a good governor. That didn’t happen, so I guess I WAS wishing she’d just leave.
Anybody else?

Lori, good post, except I’d leave out any sympathy for Randy Ruedrich. He actually did what she said he did and got a $12,000 fine for his efforts. (The part she never tells anybody is that she was guilty of the same thing – using public resources for political purposes – while mayor of Wasilla.) In any case, he’s still the R party chair, so he didn’t lose much. So much for her abilities as a reformer.

The Bristol Bay fishery has been experiencing many closures for “escapement” – allowing spawning stock to “escape” and make it to their spawning grounds. The closures vary depending on the particular river involved and the cumulative escapement counts. The fisheries that are in serious trouble are those in western Alaska – the Kuskoskwim(sp?) and Yukon rivers, and the specie in most trouble is the King salmon. In the area where Todd fishes – Dillingham – the days they’ve been allowed to fish have looked pretty productive in the counts I’ve seen (and which I now can’t find!).

AKM is at Shannyn Moore’s presser… see comments on the other thread.

As I remember from reading the story last Fall, she sat on the incriminating material for a month before filing the ethics violation – plenty of time to assess the political ramifications/opportunities before filing it. It’s pretty easy now to recognize her resignation and subsequent media show as a “Hey, look at me” moment of political opportunism. Her show of ethics reform as gov isn’t looking very impressive either. lol

Sean Parnell was just on FOX noise with Karl Rove and Huckabee) – Sean repeated all of buttercup’s talking points, from “point-guard tossing the basketball” (HUH? she WALKED OFF THE COURT!) to “costing AK “MILLIONS” of dollars in ethics complaints.” Parnell had NO original thoughts, not one. May as well have been Meg. I have a hopeful theory: Parnell is NOT as dumb as he is appearing today, but is walking on eggshells until Buttercup is gone – lest she “change her mind” and decides Alaskans NEED her to finish her term. I have suspected that she MIGHT change her mind (see the RNC event fiascos) and today Andrew Sullivan is posting same theory. Drama Queen Buttercup, ANYTHING is possible.

Lori, don’t forget the Native affairs director who quit, and the legislative liaison who quit just days away from the legislative session starting in Jan.
who knows how many people she “forced out” of a job for what ever reason she had. It’s pretty much her way or the highway.
July 5th, 2009 at 2:30 PM
Also too, Lori, coming from someone who has had that happen to my spouse, twice! unless you are in a position financially to say screw you, I’ll see you in court, a person usually signs papers waiving legal recourse, takes a severance package and moves on.
They bank on people not able to buck them.

Just checking in with the beautiful Buttercup Nation! Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Barn kitty died this morning after a terrible yesterday that was extremely difficult (15 years here, a drop off.) I am grateful for God’s mercies.
I am so grateful for the hope and intelligence of everyone here; I am comforted and inspired. Swwnbn will not go away quietly, and I am grateful for the friendships and delight I take in reading all the links and posts. What a time, ‘eh. Good times that I don’t think will end, as she will continue to amuse us all; perhaps this the beginning of something BIG! (fingers crossed)

Be careful, MF – we don’t want you getting in trouble too!
Here’s a disappointingly bland-looking photo of Van Flein:

To Aussie Blue Sky, yes, “Alaska Ear” really claims to be one of the few to knwo the truth. I think someone should call her to account.
————————————————
Good luck in finding anyone willing to get that close to Toomey.
I’d believe the Wasilla campaign manager whose interview is on a previous thread. A leopard doesn’t change its spots.
The former Mayoral campaign manager says that Sarah Palin would never run if she was cornered by the authorities (and we already know she loves her some court action) and that Palin’s lust for power is undiminished (i.e. POTUS).
If this is to be believed, it could be a very fat slush fund about to be taken away, or a complete lack of love for the “title” of Governor (we already know she’s never actually done the job of Governor and that she is innately lazy) and the leaving of Alaska behind to pursue big ambitions.
On the subject of ambitions: she has failed every time she has gained any power:
Mayor of Wasilla – recall petition
Chair, Oil & Gas – quit
Governor – quit
I’d never, ever put any store in what Toomey says.

To SayNo and Valley Independent – THANK YOU – I am compiling a list of people she screwed over. I have not seen a list in one place – lives ruined by Palin, so sad.

So many great articles out there on the internets tonight! Check this one out.

The comments are great. One person talks about pasting her farewell speech into a word document and try to do a grammar/spell check. LOL! Go and read…very entertaining comments there.

This is incredibly old news, but it was so very funny I’m posting the link for you guys anyway–it’s a Sarah Palin Debate Flow Chart, and it’s hysterical. Kudos to the guy who first developed it over at Ph33r & Loathing:

I saw Parnell on Chris Wallace’s show this morning. This guy is obviously just a water boy for Palin. I know that the AK blogs will keep as good an eye on him as they did Palin. Also, read where he is so happy with the people Palin has put in place. He is not planning to replace anyone. Now all this could be his way of trying to keep the waters calm until Palin actually exits stage left.
It appears there will be no down time for you spunky, pesky AK bloggers.
So glad SP is moving on. I just hope she doesn’t move anywhere near me. My guess is that she’ll move to Texas. They do seem to love her down there.

We’ve already got Cynthia Davis, we don’t need SP too.
really.
