But if we all get burnout on corrupt politics, they win. I am so grateful for you all 'hounddogging' these issues and bringing to light what is really going on. This is how we keep 'em honest! One is a 2008 piece by Barbara Ehrenreich in The Nation; the other is a 2007 Mother Jones article co-written by Jeff Sharlet, who joined The Family’s home for young men in 2002 and wrote about it.

While I was never a Clinton fan (though I was not a hater, either—then or now), I was shocked when I read these pieces during the presidential primary last year.

It’s puzzling to me that this quasi-religious organization, not to mention the Clinton affiliation, never got more national attention. Perhaps there will be more discussion now about this “Family” group? I hope so.

While I’m by no means against religion per se, I really really value the separation of church and state.
