oh wow! the HIstory Channel is going to do Armstrong’s famous saying historically correct

  2. 402
    justafarmer Says:

Armstrong off the landing pad, and not off the ladder that was shown

  3. 403
    justafarmer Says:

off the ladder as in “Take Two” that was more dramatic

“Don’t understand the “break bread with the enemy” guy. Does anyone get that?”

I dunno… could have been that he hoped people would put aside politics and have a peaceful time, since to break bread with your enemy means to put aside differences at a certain time and place. But he also might have been admonishing all those picnickers who were chowing down on $atan’s slaw.

Home-made sign-makers can be remarkably inarticulate sometimes, ya’ ever notice? ;)

I watched the moon landing live in Anchorage at the top of the Captain Cook hotel – the Crow’s Nest I believe? I was a flight attendant at the time on a layover, but in those days we were Stewardesses, NOT slutty flight attendants :) It was quite an occasion and one I will always remember, not just for the moon landing but for the fact that it was the first live tv lead into Alaska! And it was a beautiful day!

I got a laugh out of Shannyn’s post on the first page of this thread, “Now would be a good time to call in”. =)

Enneologin funny spoof twitter about Palin. Thanks DinkyP I would Hope that many thers who know how to set up a blog will do so also Ms Palin has shown she cannot be trusted to do what is right and the best for our country.
I like the Take this Job and Shove it song best .Thinking about her hearing that I had to laugh out loud.actually her listening to the whole thing would be a laugh. I had though that maybe Alaska should have an elected AG but after listening to Shannyn I am not so sure because she just may be right in saying if war had to be elected he may have won because their would have been no hearings that showed just what he was.How Ms Palin could even think of this man is beyond me.She is a woman right and I would take it that she believes in woman’s rights,to vote ,to work ect so how could her or her supporters support this man???

@Lynn Rockets, finally got a chance to read your Palin American Pie song. Brilliant as ever! Loved it!

Hmm. Parachute jumpers are called Paratroopers.
Casual use of acronyms confounds me. It’s like name-dropping people that you’ve never met in conversation.

  25. 425
    jojobo1 Says:

It is unconscionable that any one especially an elected official would tell people to go after anyone else just because they filed an ethics complaint. That really needs to be looked at and I would hope someone screen shot it for future use if any i of the people affected need it

  26. 426
    M. Bergert Says:

Farmer, we are just having a typical hot humid weather where everyone just stays insie. Our summers are kind of like your winter where you stay inside during those seasons. You can go out in the early morning (who’s up) or do what you have to do in the evenings. I am not sure you ever accumate to our summers when you come from up north (Columbus).

Suspicious… losing the feed and all. I’m sure it was a plot executed by Palinistas – who knew with certainty: folks mesmerized by the voices of Shannyn Moore and AKM would never go back to the dark side!

Thanks all, for the live blogging. I was a at a fun event this evening, at which Alaska kept coming up! I kept my thoughts to myself, for the most part, tho, except for chiming in about the volcanoes…

I refuse to believe that $P is wearing purple in that photo. Purple is a loving, open, cheerful and accepting color. One of my favorites, a happy mixture of red and blue. $P is wearing a deeply troubled, somewhat confused, not quite periwinkle blue-ish shade that wants to pretend that it is something other than what it is.

Suchanut and Farmer… we are mudpuppies triplets :) If someone had told me a year ago that I would be spending quite a bit of time on a Sunday morning reading 9 pages of comments for a radio show from AK, I probably would have offered them some medication… but there you have it! Thanks to all of the puppies who live blogged the show. Loved the music Shannyn! Good to hear AMK and Gryphen too. Oh geez… MSNBC just announced that they are covering Quitterberry live today. Yuck.
