Jim, he removed a bone spur, bursa, synovial something, repaired the torn rotator which didn't show on the MRI and one other thing I can't remember. The PT office's tag line was The Art of Aggressive Sports Therapy. The eval two days after the arthroscopic surgery was with the PT who was amazed and said I had a really great surgeon. The funny thing was my primary care guy gave me referrals to two surgeons, and they were booked for weeks. I asked to be put on the cancellation list and went with the one who had the earliest cancellation. I was lucky, but I think either one would have been good. I'd been to the PT place before for my ankle (bad not to be able to walk in Manhattan). That Aggressive sports therapy thing kind of scared me at first, but worked out well. I had been to another PT place about 2 years before the surgery but probably did more damage so Dr R said to stop. The reason for the delay was I lived alone and wasn't sure how I'd cope without my dominant hand. The other problem was 9/11. When I had the surgery, I so wished I had just done it.

Injury was from slipping on ice and aggravating it trying to get suitcase from overhead bin.

nswfm CA, I sure wish I was experiencing the level of success you did! Been 3 months since surgery now, and I started therapy immediatly after. I've got pretty good motion, but no strength to speak of, and constant pain. I'm no whiner, either--had 4 knee surgeries, one back, one foot and one elbow, but this has been the most difficult recovery of them all. Advancing age could be playing a part, of course... ;)

Bubbles, go see Dr Jacob Rozbruch who did my shoulder surgery in 2002. He was on 72nd st. I had 5 things wrong with the shoulder and 2 days later could hold my arm almost straight up in the air. With 6 weeks of PT at the US Athletic Training Center on Madison and 53rd, I was totally healed. Best thing I ever did after two years of pain, PT and very bad quality sleep.

If any one can get this info to Bubbles, please do it. I know it is late in NY.

honestyinGov
what is it about the Palinbots and their obsession with German history and the the radical words that they love to use from that era. They project on to Obama but they are the ones who are the ‘ followers ‘ of this thinking.
________________

I'm guessing on this, but they seem to think that this kind of propaganda is going to make people sit up and look at Palin differently, and "fear" the oppressive regime of Obama, when in reality all it does is show what they are in fact fearful of...they use what they fear.....
They cannot stand that people tend to look to Obama as someone who is actually leading this country. Whether you agree with him or not, he is doing what he feels is best for our country and trying to dig us out of the hole that we are in. Palin would simply make the hole bigger...wider..deeper. I think it bothers them tremendously that people don't take her as seriously as they do, and so they are going to try to make Obama out to be scary and Palin out to be the only one who can save us from that.

They don't get that she isn't up to the job. She isn't smart enough, she isn't thoughtful enough, and she just doesn't have what it takes to actually finish something she starts by working at it ..despite the critics, and the ups and downs that come with the job.

She is an "empty suit" to use a phrase i am not fond of. All hat no cattle, ....not playing with a full deck....pretty face, empty skull...you get the picture.... (the picture I have in my head is all those stupid little catchy talking points are bouncing around inside that empty skull of hers and that is why she is good with the word salad,...they just pop out of her mouth at random). :)

Okay, I just found the original comment by sdragon #60 under the palin polling prognostication thread.
Thanks for the help on that EyeOnYou. What you say makes more sense that her wanting to file libel suits (although she's wacky enough) and open herself up to a deposition.

benlomond2~
It was funny huh? Funny as in strange...not clown funny!
That is how the Palin fans think they can scare people into supporting her...all it does is tell me that they are as nuts as the woman they worship!

pacos_gal ~

I believe it was first reported at one of Palins fan sites. They want to think that she is going after people. My guess is that if she is holed up with lawyers it is in regards to this upcoming lawsuit regarding the Kernell kid and the emails. She was using a Yahoo account for state business to avoid things being subject to the rules regarding public records, so she might be in a bit of trouble if all those emails are subjected to a court case, because then they will be part of the public record unless for some reason the judge seals the case which in my opinion is unlikely.
