With respect specifically to the alleged pressure by Palin on the prosecutors, this is an issue worthy of a true/false comment from Levi. Also, he should address the allegations about The Dud pulling a firearm on him.

I respectfully disagree with Levi making comments on his mother’s court case or any alleged prosecutor tampering. Why would Levi have any knowledge of Palin influencing his mother’s prosecutor? He might have heard something but the doesn’t establish proof.

Proof?? Who in blazes is talking about “proof”? Assuming he and his mother talk, he might have some information or a point of view on the matter. If so, I see nothing inappropriate about him talking about it.

WakeUpAmerica,
I live in Toronto. My father had liver cancer – cheemo in two weeks. I’ve had 2 wrist surgeries on same wrist 2 years apart. Both non-life threatening. Both done within a month. Hospitals clean.
If you are referring to HMO’s in a way that our Family Dr. is the one who refers us to the specialist we need — yes the Dr. does. As to negotiating costs like HMO’s — no.
Each Province has their own healthcare. In Alberta, there is a two tier system where there is the government program and the private insurance tier. It is doctors from the private sector that are the majority that are appearing in the negative ads now playing in the US that are running down the healthcare system in Canada. Of course — they are the same as your insurance — they are in it for profit. Ontario has tried to bring in a two tier and to date the citizens have won — this is one where even I play on the NIMBY playground, which is totally rare!!
So what you relate is in the BC system, not everywhere. I’ve never read up on the BC program.
You can search for the Department of Health for a Province whether Ontario, BC, Alberta, to read up. I understand from some people in Quebec, they don’t like their’s but I’m not familiar with it. But like everyone else in the world — everybody has to yap about not likeing something!!

Actually, it is inappropriate for him to talk about it — she has been sentenced or a deal hasn’t been negotiated so he should keep his mouth shut. For him to talk about — it’s only for people’s curiosity.

Correction to my Comment #153 — She “hasn’t” been sentenced or a deal hasn’t been negotiatiated

BC system is great! We had 2 cancers and a heart problem with 3 family members all in the same month. Taken care of so fast, our heads spun. Now, if it’s a boob, nose, or lip job you want – you might have to wait a while. We’re priority-driven, not profit-driven, thank God.

faithfulpup – his name was Tommy Douglas. If it weren’t for his brilliant foresight, we would be in the same boat as you guys. Either uber-rich or hobo-broke.

I don’t know what all the fuss about health care reform is about.
I think my health care plan is just fine. It’s affordable (very). I get to choose my own doctor. Wait times are very reasonable. The care is excellent. If I get hurt or sick in a foreign country my plan will pick up the bill. Oh wait a minute, that’s right I’m a Candian..:)

dto Post 158 except that I am living in Europe. Love my healthcare here. We hear nightmare stories about visitors getting sick in the States and being landed with impossible bills and treatment. Gotta check before I go, if I have coverage for the States.

post 158 letters from Europe..
if you’re not covered, may I recommend you check “e-insurance” on the web,,,they have short term policies from various med ins companies that may be helpful…I’ve used them when in between jobs, and were MUCH cheaper than paying full Cobra payments..
