Obama’s Kenyan Birth Certificate! AHA!
For all you naysayers who claim that Barack Obama was born in Hawaii, just because that’s where they announced it in the paper, and that’s where his birth certificate is… I show you proof conclusive that Barack Obama was born in KENYA! Kenya, I say…. This makes him ineligible to be president, and means that we should immediately install John McCain in the White House, and Sarah Palin in … the undisclosed location.
The certificate above produced one of the right wing’s latest “AHA!” moments. Free Republic and Worldnet Daily jumped on this sucker right away. They got that picture up there post haste, scooping all the other news media that thought it was a forgery. You can just hear Lou Dobbs and Orly Taitz jumping up and down with glee. (Don’t try to actually visualize that. Trust me, I did and it’s not pretty)
Only one problem. Barack Obama was born August 4, 1961 like it says right there. But Kenya itself wasn’t born until 1964. (Insert that little sound effect noise that happens when someone makes a big mistake. Wah-Waaaaaaaaaaaaah)
That’s right. The Republic of Kenya didn’t exist until December of 1964. Which means that Orly Taitz, the dentist/attorney/wingnut is now, if it’s possible, even LESS credible.

I see big business in forging Kenyan Birth Certificates for the President. I can just see the e-mail. “Me poor troubled person who needs a little cash at the moment and I came across this document in my attic (no idea how it got there). I have read your blog and wonder if this might be of any interest to you (no idea how I got that idea)”. The give away will be in small print at the back: “Made in China”.

Small correction to the date the Republic Of Kenya came into existence. It was 12/12/1963, not 1964. Confirmed in my World Almanac and via a peak at Wiki.

I am sorry, but I have a hard time laughing at the small minority of the far right who are so racist they can’t accept a duly elected African American President. These are the same people in my opinion who would cause violence to others as we have seen during the last century and even more recently at the Holocaust Museum. Dear God in Heaven. I just watched the interview and I am stunned. Who IS this woman? Are the birthers really so desperate and hate filled that they would listen to this Russian lunatic?! The increase in the number of death threats against President Obama is truly alarming.
I live in the heart of Dixie so I have seen some pretty odious racist behavior. But the strength of the racial animus towards Obama, whether in the guise of the birther movement, or some other guise, leaves me shaken to the core.
I proudly voted for Obama, as did my eighty year old father, my husband, my son, my daughter, and my sister. Our yard signs were stolen, our cars were egged. Our house was egged. We endured hateful comments from people we thought were our friends. Needless to say, they didn’t get invited to our presidential victory party or inaugaration celebration. We have all been shocked by the hatred and anger directed at President Obama and his lovely family. Even by some members of our church. My heart is heavy this evening. God protect the Obamas from the crazies.

Thought of something else when this started breaking over the last week. So, I did a little familial investigation over the weekend via e-mail.
My uncle was born in the Caribbean (Jamaica), and his daughter was born in NYC, NY. Years later, my cousin the veterinarian was registered in Jamaican court documents as his daughter. I asked him about “registration of birth” v birth certificates. He said they are not the same. The “registration” is simply legal documentation that he, a Jamaican citizen, became a father, and should his daughter decide to seek dual citizenship (USA and Jamaica) or renounce her US citizenship and become a Jamaican instead, this would make it easier to prove her eligibility. A birth certificate is a completely different document, and in my cousin’s case is clearly marked as a birth certificate in the NYC Dept. of Vital Records.
My uncle also said that a number of his friends while growing up came from various African countries. I’ve asked him to see if his friends can shed any light on African usage of a registration and to see what their own birth certificates say: are they notated as a registration or as a birth certificate. Once he has some info, he’ll send me an update. Needless to say, his friends are now mighty curious about this turn of events.
Why am I bringing this up? Look at the curious title of the alleged “birth certificate” as shown above – note that it says “copy of registration of birth”. Based on my uncle’s example from Jamaica, this document is simply an acknowledgment that a legal Kenyan citizen, BO’s dad, was a father and had this information recorded in Kenya’s records – after Kenya became Kenya.

I too am a firm believer in health care and have been since Hillery Clinton first brought it up. I don’t believe anyone realizes how close they can be from declaring Bankrupcy because of medical bills. It is only one major illness away for even people who have a good job and health insurance. When I was raising my daughter several years ago, I had a very good job and health insurance. My daughter unexpectantly develope a major mental illness which under most insurance coverage is not covered like most major illnesses. In my case 15 years ago it was capped at $25,000. With hospitalization, drugs, and physicians, it ran out very quickly. As I recall, it ran out after about 3-4 weeks of hospitalization. Fortunately, with my salary, the fact that my exwife was required to pay half of all medical, and NOT owning a home at the time was my only saving grace. If you own a home, they expect you to remorgage your home to pay for the hospitalization. Ever since then, I have been firm supporter of health care reform and felt the government should at least provide some protection.
Sorry for my last long post and hope you will forgive me for being off topic. But since someone else brought it up……….

I was born in the South, and I have lived many places since then. I am sad to report that racism is alive and well everywhere, and it rears its ugly head against whatever minority happens to be present…or not. I, too, was afraid to post my Obama signs in certain places because I feared retaliation.

What a ritard. Alll African Countries that were colonized by the British never issued birth certificates to local born babies from blacks. Even After independence it took many years before they started issuing birth certificate. Google Dr Mary Nyangweso a Kenyan professor, she was my profesor at Montclair State University now in North Carolina. She was born in 1962 in Kenya. She is the closest person I know who can tell you Kenyan History, and how birth Certificates looked like.

According to my son who is a huge fan of Colbert’s satire, the Orly Taitz interview was pre-recorded, a technique he sometimes uses when he wants to prevent audience reaction from tipping his hand. Without booing, he was able to bait her to maximize her lunacy. However, her rant today was even crazier.
Someone on Wonkette noted that it was signed by E.F. Lavender. They said there is a laundry detergent called Earth Friendly Lavendar…E.F Lavender.
What idiots.
We are living in another very volatile climate in this nation…and we need to do whatever we can to advance the democratic agendas as set forth by the President, who is truly trying hard to make a positive difference (despite the noise). Of course we will not always agree with every that this administration presents to the American populace…but we really need to get busy advancing the cause (in our individual corners of the globe).
And those amongst who believe in the benefits of prayer…let us fervently keep the President and the “First Family” lifted in our prayers ~ for it has been reported that he receives upwards of 30 death threats per day. Regardless of who you are, I’m certain that reality cannot be easy to live with.
Continue to beat the drums ~ as our livelihoods depend on it.
It’s time for the high courts (Sotomayor) to put this birther to rest. This is embarrassing and disrespectful to our country and president. I agree with the notion that MSM news shows/networks (Can you say CNN?) should stay away from interviewing wingnuts, but Colbert and Stewart are comedy shows. This is all so ridiculous. I can’t imagine why Ann Dunham Obama would want to forgo the modern hospital in Hawaii, to give birth in Kenya. And seeing as how Mr Obama, Sr was still married to his first wife, bringing his new American wife home to meet the family would be the last thing he’d want to do.
I’m sure if Barack Obama really was born in Kenya, his mother, being a law abiding citizen, would have recorded the birth there. Why would anyone go to the trouble of forging documents for a baby on the off chance that he would become president in 47 years?
Of course, if Obama, Sr. had been a white citizen of Belgium or Sweden or England, no one would be questioning the citizenship of his son.

If one of a person’s parents is an American citizen, that person has dual citizenship automatically. I didn’t think it made any difference where they were born, for that matter.

Do the Birthers understand that they are inferring that the Republican National Committee, and all its various super rich corporate goons are so inept that they did not effectively investigate Barack Obama starting a year or more ago when he became a viable candidate for Democratic nomination. or earlier than that when he began his political career, or earlier than that when he was a “Community Organizer”? Or Earlier than that when he was born part Black.
Do the Birthers understand how totally incompetent they, the Birthers, are making the RNC look? And how successful it makes Obama look? They make their own Darth Chaney, as a conniver, look like a kiddie in the sand box compared to their Obama the POTUS.
Maybe we could get our government to extradite Orly to Australia for trial on forging an official Australian government document. They could confine her in the jail at Alice Springs to await trial there. Alice Springs is in the middle of a desert, 1000 miles from anywhere.
