More than two dozen proposed constitutional amendments have been introduced in Congress to relax the restriction.

Two of the more well known were introduced by Representative Jonathan Bingham in 1974, to allow for Secretary of State Henry Kissinger to become eligible, and the Equal Opportunity to Govern Amendment by ~~~~SENATOR ORRIN HATCH~~~~ in 2003, to allow eligibility for Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Bingham amendment would have also made clear the eligibility of those born abroad to U.S. parents, while the Hatch one would have allowed those who have been naturalized citizens for twenty years to be eligible.

Maybe we could get our government to extradite Orly to Australia for trial on forging an official Australian government document. They could confine her in the jail at Alice Springs to await trial there. Alice Springs is in the middle of a desert, 1000 miles from anywhere.

I posted the following elsewhere earlier today.

Do the Birthers understand that they are inferring that the Republican National Committee, and all its various super rich corporate goons are so inept that they did not effectively investigate Barack Obama starting a year or more ago when he became a viable candidate for Democratic nomination. or earlier than that when he began his political career, or earlier than that when he was a “Community Organizer”? Or Earlier than that when he was born part Black.

Do the Birthers understand how totally incompetent they, the Birthers, are making the RNC look? And how successful it makes Obama look? They make their own Darth Chaney, as a conniver, look like a kiddie in the sand box compared to their Obama the POTUS.

Perhaps I am showing my ignorance of civics when I ask this, but…
If one of a person’s parents is an American citizen, that person has dual citizenship automatically. I didn’t think it made any difference where they were born, for that matter.
