It is good that AKM and Shannyn (and other progressive bloggers) are getting national exposure and opining for a whole lot of us. I will be watching. I do not believe that this country is primarily made up of distasteful people who think and act like Limbaugh, Beck, Joe Wilson, Trent Franks, Sarah Palin, et al. But they make so much noise that you would think that they are a larger group then they are. I have been very pleased to see Shannyn appear more often on MSNBC. And now AKM; this is great!

The MSNBC net usually has Kieth Obermann on by 10:00 p.m. Eastern time. I also hope the don’t change the title of the book once they hear the true definition of “rogue”. The true definition fits her so well! Team Sarah has been talking non-stop about her new book. It would just break their hearts to hear the true definition!

Well, there’s been such a shift to the far right that fiscal conservative moderates are now Democrats. Pretty interesting if you study the actual votes and policies of the parties.

The Harper imprint of News Corp.’s HarperCollins Publishers said Tuesday it is pushing up publication of Sarah Palin’s memoir, “Going Rogue: An American Life,” to Nov. 17 from next spring.”
Wow, so exciting!! I just wanted to stop in and offer my congratulations AKM you were awesome tonight on Rachael. Thanks for all the hard work you put in to your blog, I do hope you get a book deal someday, your writing is so enjoyable to read.
I have to agree with everyone that Shannon and AKM did a great job. But wow, was I wrong in my mind of what I thought AKM would look like. Actually, she was younger, better looking, and I pictured her as not wearing any makeup because of the that Alaskan frontier additude (well in my mind anyways). They both did a great job in providing the historical perspective of how Alaskans view the meaning of “going rogue”. This along with the true definition of the meaning of the word “rogue” when someone eventually points it out her, should embarrass Sarah, but I doubt it knowing how dim witted she is. And besides, she can’t be wrong because she has a jounalism degee, or at least we have been told, and nothing her ghost writer could have writen could possibly be wrong if she is in fact the one who came up with the title for the book. Again, congratulations to both of you for doing a great job and for not even looking nervous during the interview. I don’t think I could even be able to give my name much less answering a simple question during a televised interview.
I never thought I’d be saying this, but “thank God for Sarah Palin”. Not only did her candidacy result in the election of a Democrat to the presidency, but her continuing antics have given great fodder for creative minds. Thanks, AKM and Shannyn, for rising to the occasion. Your abilities with words are without equal — I sense bright futures for both of you. And thanks for inspiring the two most important women in my life (my wife and daughter) to be a part of the 1500 who marched in Anchorage last year. There is indeed hope for this world.

Rachel replayed the prophetic Mike Blowers who accurately predicted a new Seattle Mariner on his debut night in the Big Leagues would hit a 2nd deck homerun on his 2nd at bat when the count was 3-1! He did and so did AKM (knock it out of the park) in the very next segment on MSNBC…The Big Leagues!!! Both you and Shannyn are to be congratulated!
Congratulations and well done to both AKM and Shannyn. I’m no fan of Sarah, believe me, but I just have to say that Shannyn might have overstated the ‘ruining’ of the troopers’ lives somewhat.
It seemed at the time like Wooten definitely had some major issues and the community as a whole might well be better off with him behind a desk . . . not to suggest that SP’s handling of the situation was proper.

Honestly – it’s a shame that more Americans are not aware of just how vindictive Sarah Palin is. She has not one shred of honour or decency in her being. In my short life – I have never witness anyone as power hungry as Sarah Palin.
I can understand having the conviction of your views and opinions. I can understand supporting a public official that you feel reflect your values. This is what democracy is all about – a diverse range of policy ideas with which to govern and to vote for.
However – Sarah Palin and her ilk bring NO ideas, NO policy, NO facts, NO credibility and NO honesty to the political discourse in this country. They bring Lies and Greed.

Other than the fact that Murkowski’s arrogance and secrecy was what vaulted Sarah Palin into office? Frank the bank was so bad, he was a 19% incumbent loser. And, the media NEVER referred to the tax as a net profits tax-it was always called the PPT-petroleum profits tax. Mr Halcro approached me at the Anchorage Recycling Center prior to the 2006 election. I flat out asked him what thought of Murkowski’s PPT. Halcro LOVED it! Had NO problem with a net profits tax. Republican legislators went to jail for selling their votes for the PPT. AND, Murkowski’s Chief of Staff, Jim Clark has plea bargained and is awaiting sentencing…not sure what the fascination with

Curiosity like yours and others will sell a few books, but after the first few reviews, what can be said?
She can’t do a “book tour” anywhere but FOX without being nailed with a “gotcha” question…which is any question she can’t answer with some Palinesque obfuscation. I mean you can only talk about seeing Russia a few hundred more times and its over.
It will be interesting to see how much stuff she’s makin up for the mainstream. In fact, it might be a great hoot to read the self-servings spread thickly throughout.
I think AKM and Shannyn both have a lot more going than just talking about palin and what she does or does not do.,They both have written and spoken about the need for health care reform and climate change ect.So I think it will be quite some time before the two of them run out of topics.

It is good that AKM and Shannyn (and other progressive bloggers) are getting national exposure and opining for a whole lot of us. I will be watching. I do not believe that this country is primarily made up of distasteful people who think and act like Limbaugh, Beck, Joe Wilson, Trent Franks, Sarah Palin, et al. But they make so much noise that you would think that they are a larger group then they are. I have been very pleased to see Shannyn appear more often on MSNBC. And now AKM; this is great!

The one thing I was disappointed in is that neither of you pointed out that Palin plagiarized AGAIN…her book title, or half of it at least, was cribbed from Ronald Reagan’s autobiography.

I think you’ll enjoy the Democratic values of fiscal conservatism in action and compassionate, responsible care for all Americans:-) Which kinda sounds like my grandparents Eisenhower Country Club Republicanism! Well, there’s been such a shift to the far right that fiscal conservative moderates are now Democrats. Pretty interesting if you study the actual votes and policies of the parties.

I have to agree with everyone that Shannon and AKM did a great job. But wow, was I wrong in my mind of what I thought AKM would look like. Actually, she was younger, better looking, and I pictured her as not wearing any makeup because of the that Alaskan frontier additude (well in my mind anyways). They both did a great job in providing the historical perspective of how Alaskans view the meaning of “going rogue”. This along with the true definition of the meaning of the word “rogue” when someone eventually points it out her, should embarrass Sarah, but I doubt it knowing how dim witted she is. And besides, she can’t be wrong because she has a jounalism degee, or at least we have been told, and nothing her ghost writer could have writen could possibly be wrong if she is in fact the one who came up with the title for the book. Again, congratulations to both of you for doing a great job and for not even looking nervous during the interview. I don’t think I could even be able to give my name much less answering a simple question during a televised interview.

I never thought I’d be saying this, but “thank God for Sarah Palin”. Congratulations and well done to both AKM and Shannyn. I’m no fan of Sarah, believe me, but I just have to say that Shannyn might have overstated the ‘ruining’ of the troopers’ lives somewhat.

Even if SP somehow manages to ‘go away’ there’s so many other topics in AK which I have no doubt will be covered by RM in the future, where you can supply more details. Honestly – it’s a shame that more Americans are not aware of just how vindictive Sarah Palin is. She has not one shred of honour or decency in her being. In my short life – I have never witness anyone as power hungry as Sarah Palin.
I can understand having the conviction of your views and opinions. I can understand supporting a public official that you feel reflect your values. This is what democracy is all about – a diverse range of policy ideas with which to govern and to vote for.
However – Sarah Palin and her ilk bring NO ideas, NO policy, NO facts, NO credibility and NO honesty to the political discourse in this country. They bring Lies and Greed.

Other than the fact that Murkowski’s arrogance and secrecy was what vaulted Sarah Palin into office? Frank the bank was so bad, he was a 19% incumbent loser. I flat out asked him what thought of Murkowski’s PPT. Halcro LOVED it! Had NO problem with a net profits tax. Republican legislators went to jail for selling their votes for the PPT. AND, Murkowski’s Chief of Staff, Jim Clark has plea bargained and is awaiting sentencing…not sure what the fascination with

Congrats on the Rachel Maddow appearance, you looked great and did well. You girls from AK are making a name for yourselves…not something Sarah probably envisioned or tolerates easily.
Not too worried about the great success indicated by the ranking on the books list. Remember Monica Lewinsky also had the No 1 for several weeks and she disappeared from view completely.
Curiosity like yours and others will sell a few books, but after the first few reviews, what can be said?
She can’t do a “book tour” anywhere but FOX without being nailed with a “gotcha” question…which is any question she can’t answer with some Palinesque obfuscation. I mean you can only talk about seeing Russia a few hundred more times and its over.
It will be interesting to see how much stuff she’s makin up for the mainstream. In fact, it might be a great hoot to read the self-servings spread thickly throughout.
I think AKM and Shannyn both have a lot more going than just talking about palin and what she does or does not do.,They both have written and spoken about the need for health care reform and climate change ect.So I think it will be quite some time before the two of them run out of topics.
By the way Shannyn and AKM you both did wonderfully on your respective shows.I will say that as vindictive as the heath palin clan seems to be I sure would watch my back.Alaska may be a large state but does not have a population to match so just everyone be careful.Remember what the tried to do to Gryphen and even Shannyn and the threats that were sent to palins deceptions so that blogger had to stop posting because of the ugly threats..I was really happy to hear from a conservative republican who actually knows that her or his party needs to change course and will debate in a civil manner.The few I saw on Gryphen’s site used vulgar language and one liners,very uncivil.Glad to see not all think like that.I was sure some were out there but had not heard from any. I like AKM’S site because she takes on both parties it is not that she just goes after one party if the dems do wrong she says so and what she thinks about it.Equal opportunity is the right word I think.I am also sure that many conservative republicans that are looking for a new place think the same of the far left as we do of the far right.
