If anyone needs a good laugh, Sarah Palin's book title, "Going Rogue, an American Life" needs a reality check. Entertainment Weekly found over 100 books, all subtitled "An American Life."

If that is any example of Lynn Vincent's creativity, we are in for one good read!

I love this time of the year. If you put your face very close to the earth, you will be assailed with every scent possible - soil, fungus, the smell of heavy yeast, metal, sweet like fresh baked bread, and many, many other smells.

The duff becomes almost mystical. The sound of moose hooves will echo for hundreds of yards as they traverse the trails leading up to the Chugach mountains. Sounds transform over distances, and that strange quiet that grips the winter begins to take over the landscape. You can stand perfectly still and be filled with the energy of a falling leaf.

honestyinGov -

I watched that Dylan Ratigan interview with Anthony Weiner and Betsy McCaughey and thought Ratigan did a great job. Of course, the more I see Weiner the more I like him...he's smart, does his homework and doesn't back down.

I liked how Ratigan didn't let Betsy get away with not answering his question and repeatedly turning the topic back to the old people 'death panels'. As the interview went on, it reminded me more and more of Palin's VP debate and how she only answered the questions she wanted to answer, regardless of what the moderator asked!

I agree with others here that Matthews' interrupting his guests is getting excessive and annoying. Maybe it's time for Ratigan to take over Chris Matthews' place in prime time.

Love your picture!
I was in Denali at the end of August. It was already autumn in the tundra-so spectacular! One of the most beautiful sights I have seen in all my years.

Phoebe: The paps need to lay off Sebastopol!

It's really a non-story that he had relationships with consenting adults many years ago.

The STORY is the EXTORTION. They should be following the slug who threatened him with exposure and cashed a $2M check.

I feel sorry for the woman and her son. They probably had no idea what was going on and were frightened. I would be.

I would be even if I was Dave's long ago ex trying to live a quiet life in a little town 3500 miles away from him.

No one deserves that kind of harassment. Not even an 'ex' from a decade ago.

We were robbed on a bad call. Our guy got hit, they didn't call it.

If they called it, he would have taken a base (bases were loaded) and drove in a run. It's being analyzed to death. The home plate umpire didn't see it, but the replays show that we were still in it.

Very sad evening in Samper's World.
