OK ghouls and goblins, Shannyn Moore is broadcasting from her usual location, which is fairly horrifying even on a regular day – the studios of conservative talk radio KBYR. (insert witch cackling noise here)
The terrifying topics today will include – Bill Allen, and the shadow of the net profits tax, Dick Cheney and the recent revelations about his cold black heart, and of course the blood-curdling tale of our own ex-governor, who simply had to point her bony finger at the NY District 23 congressional race to send the Republican candidate screaming into the woods. Now the field is wide open for the conservative candidate to descend upon the district, and prey upon the souls of the innocent (presuming they are stupid enough to vote for him).

Can you please answer a question for me if possible. The question is the conservative that is running in NY23 district, does he actually live there? I mean I thought you had to live in the district you are running for. I don’t understand why the people would vote for Hoffman if he doesn’t know anything about the local issues. What you think Shannyn? Is it just me or what? I don’t get why people would vote for someone who doesn’t understand their local issues.

#3 Southern–I think residency requirements are a state issue (even for a federal position.) In some places you can run for office even if you live outside the district but have to move in within a certain period of time. Don’t think it can be an indefinite period of time.
My memory is murkey but the brilliant and eminently well qualified (!) Alan Keyes was actually the republican candidate against Barak Obama in his 2004 Senate race. He lived in Maryland. Can’t remember if he did anything to establish residency here.
B TW, he famously criticized Hillary Clinton for being a carpetbagger for running for the Senate in New York.

Southern @3 – Not sure how NY residency laws work, but here in KY, you don’t have to live within the district you want to represent, but you have to own property. Perfect example is Ed Whitfield – it has always been a controversial issue with him, the numerous properties he owns in various areas, yet is hard to pin down what his legal residence is.
Shannyn, everyone knows that the only thing to put on a bowlful of candy corn is not milk…it’s half and half.

You have to ask conservatives who call in, what do they attribute the economic meltdown to, under Bush’s Presidency. They need a reality check.
Perhaps we can live stream her tv show? I’m a moderate conservative – you know, the kind not welcome in the party because I can think and chew gum at the same time? We have clocks, but refuse to set them back, so we can always be an hour early to each event! I have a dozen doughnuts riding on how many will show up an hour early for church tomorrow.

When Valerie Plame was outed…Brewster Jennings was outed; offices around the world! Hundreds of agents were exposed. Even if you assume what the neocons say-that Valarie Plame was a secretary and was not covert-COMPLETELY FALSE-but even if you assume that, other covert agents were certainly exposed. It was an excellent discussion and I am thrilled that jason has tired to follow that trail…
