Palin and her deluded fans can spin the conservative loss in NY-23 race any way they please but all their rationalizations sound weak.

If Palin and the teabaggers can’t win in a Red District with 150 years of GOP representation, a million dollars plus in campaign funds, the endorsements of most of the conservative talking heads and leaders, and the withdrawal of the only other GOP candidate…….then it’s a darn big loss.

Giddy with her own self-importance when VP Biden mentioned the fallacy of Palin’s energy policies in his campaign stump for Owens, Palin was so certain of her “victory” in NY-23 that she laid down Hoffman as her sacrificial gauntlet by taunting “Hoffman, baby, Hoffman” as a response to Biden

No doubt about it……Palin has egg on her face. Her vaunted “influence” didn’t carry the day….instead her interference delivered an unexpected congressional seat to the Dems.

Egged, baby, egged……and everyone knows it.

And here I was, still tickled about the 23rd district Owens win, listening to the radio on the way home from work. And then the news came on.

Quittypants will be in Rochester on November 21st. Unfortunately, while the city is reliably blue (just re-elected the Dem mayor who ran unopposed)
but many of the suburbs and more rural areas of the county tend to be on the red side.

Note to self: stay well away from Henrietta and all surrounding regions on that day. Contamination has been recorded in areas within several miles of the Toxic Attitude Zone.

#127 Trisha, I saw that, it p*ssed me off too. But let’s put things in perspective, a dem hasn’t won that district in over 150 years. There are tons of fringey repubs in that district and yet Owens got over half the vote. Tea party types are prevalent but winky & armey’s choice lost. Yes, it’s always mind boggling that so many wingnuts live among us. To be honest I was surprised hoffman lost, hubby is from western NY and he was more surprised than me. He swears his family would have voted for hoffman and never would have considered voting for a democrat.
