Teabags’ Revenge – Beyond Satire.
This is not a joke….I repeat, this is not a joke. Not satire. No Steven Colbert popping in at the end. No Onion. No Andy Borowitz. And yet, I couldn’t watch it without laughing. All it needs at the end is the Capitol Building blowing up in a giant red fireball, and Bachmann, Palin and a Teabag guy with giant sunglasses and black boots walking shoulder to shoulder out of the flames.
My favorite part is when the guy with the three-cornered hat says in his painfully bad colonial accent “We’ll give them some stimulus!” Yeah, we got your stimulus right here, Buddy.
And “When you have government control over everything, you have tie-rannic behavior.” Yeah. Corporate control over everything is the way to go. No tie-rannic behavior there. Who needs all that oversight and regulation? It just gets in the way of global corporatism… the real freedom.
And they even manage to slip in one of those Obama as the Joker faces in the background.
Their website says: “The Tea Party movement of 2009 shocked the political establishment, the nation at large and left a big media machine dizzy in its wake. How did it happen? Where did it come from?” I hate to spoil the surprise, but the answer would be the national group Freedomworks, and a certain Dick Armey. Grass roots? Not so much.
Anyway, it’s coming to a dvd near you this Thanksgiving. (clearing my throat and trying to sound all baritone and ominous, like the guy on the trailer) Turkey Day…. it’s not just for Sarah Palin anymore.
Meanwhile, back on Capitol Hill, Cogresswoman Michele Bachmann urged supporters to confront members of congress with video cameras, in order to scare them into voting to kill the health care reform bill. “I think that will absolutely scare these members of Congress so much that Pelosi will not get the votes and it will kill the bill.” So, let me get this straight. This is a sitting member of congress, urging citizens to use methods of intimidation to “scare” other members of congress into changing their votes to suit her own ideological agenda for political gain.
But the pre-protest phone and fax bomb that was scheduled for yesterday fizzled, and yet Bachmann managed to get herself in front of the Fox News cameras who were more than happy to give her a platform for her wingnuttery.
That Michele Bachman…she’s sort of like Sarah Palin, only with an actual job.

PLEASE PLEASE check this out at the Onion:

Will these wingnuts ever get it that they are being duped? That they are being used by Dick Army and his buddies that are shills for corporate greed? These people come across as so ignorant and ridiculous that everyone who is not one of them laughs at them. And my son had to tell me what a “teabagger” is, and it has nothing to do with a hot beverage. They are calling themselves a dirty little name and they are completely oblivious to it!
Sarah should hang with Michelle more- it makes Sarah look sane….
Lord have mercy on us all.
Yes, Michele Bachman…she is much like Sarah Palin, I wonder if she also think the National Anthem begins with gentlemen start your engines.
This is what happens when money gets behind stupid. Other than the “we hate anything Obama”, I cannot see a unified purpose or theme in all this bs.
Bachmann and her husband, Marcus, live in Stillwater where they own a small business mental health care practice that employs 42 people.
The above is straight from Bachmann’s official website…can you believe this?
…their business must be a failure!…otherwise, how can you explain her mental health?
Lol! If I didn’t know better I would have thought this was a parody by Monty Python with no British accents. Good gawd!
Oh, and Nate is highlighted as the African American dissenter. Funny how they had to use his image about 5 times in that film. Are we not supposed to notice it is the same guy….the only guy they could get to be in this film? (No offense to Nate intended…just to the editors of that film). This is so transparent and deplorable.
This is a perfect homage to “You just can’t make this stuff up”.
Ever notice that the majority of tea-baggers are over 65 and obviously on Medicare? But they are against government involvement in health care.
One lady was interviewed. She said she had a hard time making the rally, having drunk half a case of beer, watching the world series.
So why are you here?
I’m a veteran of 20 yrs and I’m not entirely happy with VA benefits. I had to wait a year to get my shoulder operation.
And your friend in the wheel chair?
I called her up and asked her if she wanted to come along.
Isn’t she receiving Medicare?
Yes.
I’ll be sure to run right out and reserve my copy. Then I can watch while reading Palins book. What fun!
Not.
Thank You, AK Muckraker for keepin’-on-”their” (we know who they are) case, b/c they sure as hell need it! ! ! I feel so PROUD-of-YOU, every time I see what you’ve written! Tomorrow…I WILL make a donation to show my appreciation for all your great and hard work you do for humanity.
seattle- I noticed Nate, too. Didn’t even have him shave or change his shirt or anything. The lone black guy really stood out. LOL
Julian Smith
I check out your link to Onion
I may of missed something. I don’t understand what Beck had to do with the accident. I can feel for the family’s loss. But there attitude is sick, and seems to have them occupying the same link on the food chain as Beck. Did I miss something, is Beck connected in any way to the girls death?
Peter d–I think that the whole thing was made up. I didn’t think that it was funny either.
Peter d , That was satire. Nobody died, but Beck still lives. I do not wish him harm, but found this Onion bit very funny.
The Onion is SATIRE.
first (to peter d at #13)– the onion is a major parody newspaper………..all jokes all the time. the most excellent satire in print imho.
second — that trailer is retarded. MAJORLY retarded. the voice over guy should stick to B-movie horror flicks.
oh wait,
never mind.
seriously, advertising a revolution? i can’t quit shaking my head on that one.
Well now, it never any fun to be the last to know. Im also happy to know no young girl died. I keep an eye on this Onion in the future.
I heard this whole thing this am on Air America. Glen Beck survived a dozen accidents in several countries. Families cried at the irony of it all, he lived, they died. Onion simply poking fun at pundits. If you can find the audio, its worth listening to.
Can we take away her government-funded health insurance?
This CRAP tempest in a teacup is not the Revolution, it is however, revolting. It treads a dangerous path toward treason and anarchy.
There is nothing in the world more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity….Martin Luther King Jr.
The revolution will not be televised.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Revolution_Will_Not_Be_Televised
When I watched Michele’s Rally (it wasn’t a press conference) on Keith Olbermann’s Countdown, Keith made it a point to show what the crowd looked like. He meant to show us that there were no minorities present. I also noticed that the majority of the people in the crowd were really over weight. They are more in need of health care than anyone else; they shouldn’t be in such a hurry to vote against their own best interests.
It’s clear that you must be either congenitally or willfully stupid to take part in any of the teabagger events. These clods simply exude imbecility. Honestly, if stupid gets to $75 a barrel, I want drilling rights on their heads. (Thanks to Jim Hightower for that gem.)
As the exodus of sane people from the GOP continues, what is left is this thick, syrupy conservative paste of pure insanity, paranoia, with a full measure of nearly absolute ignorance.
I have never seen a more pathetic collection of simpletons in my life. These folks are too stupid to realize that they are nothing more than pawns for the corporate whorehouse that is Freedom Works. Armey and his Army of Dick are merely shilling for big business and the ignorant teabagger clods will spew their uniformed bile in any direction that their master points them. The teabaggers are filled with unfocused rage that prompts their high volume screaming, but scant introspection.
Enter Michelle Bachmann. That opportunistic traitor has encouraged the idiot sheeple to engage in acts of intimidation and violence. She should face at minimum, censure, expulsion, and/or possibly criminal charges. I could tolerate her if she were merely stupid, but she has crossed the line into being menacing and is calling for insurrection. She is a sitting member of the House of Representatives. She needs to be held accountable for her incendiary remarks.
If you go here, you may understand the Bachmann’s a little better:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=siF3ezbSSBo&NR=1
The Tulsa World of Oklahoma printed the following:
Bachmann’s husband, Marcus Bachman, is a clinical therapist in Minneapolis
and a Christian counselor whose practice reportedly includes “curing” gay people.
The bombshell claim appears in an otherwise prosaic article about her early days as a law student at Oral Roberts’ Coburn School of Law. Former Bachmann classmates are quoted. The article also reports this:
A Minnesota native, Bachmann was a member of ORU’s Coburn College of Law’s first class in 1979. She dropped out after a year but returned in the mid-1980s to finish her law degree.
AKM: Where do you find these things? I wonder if they’ll include the bogus overhead shot (from some other, years earlier, rally). Is it just me, or does the narrator sound (a little) like the guy that does NFL Films?
I wonder if “Nate” was paid talent?
Oh, and
Oy.
Will someone please don their tin foil hat and zap Bachmann with their electric toothbrush? That might be the only solution for a wingjob nutcase like her.
I saw this on another blog and thought it was appropriate after watching that absurd trailer. Please note George Carlin uses some four-letter words. Copy and paste the following into youtube.com : acLW1vFO-2Q
Beyond satire…. to the ridiculous.
“The Tea Party movement of 2009 shocked the political establishment, the nation at large and left a big media machine dizzy in its wake….”
The grandiosity of this statement is hilarious……Shocking! Dizzying!….Naw, just grownups making fools of themselves rather ridiculously. Who wrote the script for their website? Palin? Sheesh.
Judging by their age, the bright side of the 2009 Baggers’ Movement is that Bowel Movements are second highest on their list of priorities after attending shocking and dizzying rallies in the name of Liberty and God.
The Bagger Revolution’s motto: Liberté, Egalité,…..and Regularite!!!!
That teabag’s been dunked so many times, it isn’t even coloring the water any more. Time to put it on the compost pile where it can do some good as fertilizer.
30–Lee 323, too funny!
“My favorite part is when the guy with the three-cornered hat says in his painfully bad colonial accent “We’ll give them some stimulus!””
sorry I had to play it three times before I heard that…
I thought he said “We’ll give them some stupidity”….
I’m pretty sure I heard it right the first two times…
Correct me if I’m wrong please, but didn’t this Tea Party movement start back during the Bush years? It seems to have only gained national attention, though, now that Obama is president, and Glen Beck has since picked up on it, and further, I don’t think they self applied the name “Tea Baggers”, wasn’t that term coined (I never knew it to be used outside of high schools or college parties prior to this) as a derogatory double entendre by Rachel Maddow or Keith Olberman? Now, these rhetorical questions I pose may indeed be misinformed or false, if so I would appreciate any input anyone may have. But here’s what I think. The movement was probably started in good faith by true fiscal conservatives during the Bush years, and of course received little or no attention from any of the corporate controlled media. Now that Obama is president, and fox news has really gone off the deep end, Glen Beck and his 9/12 movement stand in the perfect position to jump on board with this Tea Party movement and discredit it completely. Meanwhile, The “Liberal” side of the media, has played its part perfectly in identifying the Tea Party movement as a bunch of Glen Bleck sheep holding an anti-obama rally, rather than fiscal conservatives protesting big government. Don’t get me wrong, a lot of those anti-obama nuts have been brought out to the rallies, but they’ve been brought out by guys like Limbaugh and Beck. So whats my point, well my point is that there is an issue here worth discussing, FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY, but that idea has been lost amongst the sensationalist bickering between left wing and right wing sheep. Obama took office after running a campaign based on Hope and Change. But there is little hope for change in the corporate controlled city state, District of Columbia. Obama has so far proven to be an extension of the Bush presidency. We are still running a deficit of roughly a trillion dollars give or take, at least $600Bil in “Defense” spending alone. This is hope and change? But as I digress I will probably be considered one of these anti-obama nuts. The point I’m trying to make is that, this campaign of defamation by the corporate controlled media is going on to make it seem as though anyone with a dissenting opinion is a right wing nut in need of psychiatric help. For the record I don’t think Obama is a Muslim, nor am I a degenerate racist, nor do i believe McCain/Palin would have been a better choice, I just wasn’t naive enough to fall for the Hope and Change bit put forth by the corporate media over the past two years (the very same corporate media that sold us an invasion and occupation of Iraq don’t forget). Bearing all this in mind, what is the media conditioning us to not question the president on now?
Perhaps they will lead us into another war, but by that time anyone who disagrees with the ruling party line will have been thoroughly discredited as identifying with the “Tea-Bagger” or the “Birther” or any of the other crazy fringe groups who oppose our glorious leader. Bear in mind folks, this is all just my humble opinion, my rants tend to be long winded and straight from the mind, I do apologize if I have offended anyone, and I’m always open to opposing views.
On a lighter note, I do get a kick outta watching those confused neocon zombies protesting at the rallies. I do have a sense of humor and irony.
Wikipedia has the Tea Party protests described as locally organized, nationally coordinated events that began in 2009. So, fiscal conservatism is older than that, but the “Tea Party” phenomenon is new. Teaparty attendees referred to themselves as teabaggers in the beginning until they figured out the double meaning. I still hear local Anchorage radio talk show hosts (conservative) call themselves “teabaggers.” It’s catchier than “tea party attendees” so I think it just stuck. The double ententdre was not from Keith Olbermann nor Rachel Maddow. It was listed in the urban dictionary and numerous other online slang sites and was easily found by googling the word “teabagger” or “teabagging.”
I think that the fiscal responsibility angle has been completely overshadowed by the protesters with racist signs, Obama as the Joker, comparing health care to the holocaust, etc. The protesters have been their own worst enemy. I think many of them are fiscal conservatives as you say, and I also agree that corporatism is the real enemy. I think that the tea party attendees are being used as corporate tools to protest health care reform against their own best interest.
What is the alternative to government? What would happen if the government got out of everything as so many are wishing for? The corporations would run roughshod over all of us, and this country would look unrecognizable. Without good government oversight, we are all in a world of trouble.
The media itself has become coopted by the likes of Rupert Murdoch and others. Independent media (Democracy Now, various blogs and online sources) are vital. I think there is plenty that the media could be talking about that they are not. But as far as them “leading us into another war?” I think that Bush was the one who did that, with the media as his lapdogs.
I hope the tea party people at some point start realizing that they are barking at the wrong enemy. The sooner average people realize we are ALL on the same side, the better. Just my humble opinion! AKM
Lainey @7 said:
“Bachmann and her husband, Marcus, live in Stillwater where they own a small business mental health care practice that employs 42 people.”
It makes waaaaay more or less sense when you realise that they “treat” mental illness via the Bible instead of accepted “scientific” standards….
sigh….
Michele Bachmann, Sarah Palin, Dick Armey and all of the rest of them including teabaggers are full of you know what (foul smelling brown stuff).
The guys at the beginning of the video are wearing Red Coats. Um, didn’t the Establishment military wear Red Coats?????????????????????????????????????
The Boston Tea Party saw a lot of Indian costuming. They can’t think that would be politically incorrect in this day and age, can they? I think it’s more likely they don’t know what they’re doing.
The Teabaggers are coming! One if by land, two if by sea, three if by airhead!
AND four if by Space Case.
Woo-hoo! I can’t wait for the dvd to be released!
They seem to have done a bang-up job with the production ~ making do with so little thought, plot, or talent. I particularily like the Torch of Liberty stand-in… the tiki [min: 1:01]. It adds such class to the whole thing. beth.
OT: Obama or salesmen in the classroom

The last time I taught school was an inner city elementary with very poor families. Nearly all the children were obese. We had a guy show up for a school fund raiser that wanted these poor, obese kids with undereducated, immigrant parents to sell–cookie dough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! at $14 a tub. Those kids raked in the money, selling to their poor families and neighbors. I wouldn’t spend my money on it. And the prizes were cheap. One of the reasons I left was because of this type of exploitation of the students. The schools may need money, but obese kids don’t belong selling cookie dough.
This looks just like a scene from Chuck Palahniuk’s (yay, Portland authors!) book “Choke”. A bunch of loser/slackers wind up working at a low-budget colonial Williamsburg, dressed in costumes, acting badly. And matching the video act for act, the main character is a tea-baggery lovin’ sex addict who can barely maintain himself through a meeting….
Thanks, AKM, for sharing. Seems like they want to overthrow the government and re-write our Constitution. To separate and divide this nation; like a corporation trying to take down a union.
On most days I would hear a REALLY stupid story that told me about what Michelle Bachman had said or did and I would just get a good chuckle out of it.
You would just say ” Ohhh… that Michelle is so Silly.”
Maybe it is because of the very serious story that happened in Texas. It’s very sobering and serious. Some people are not in control of their faculties and do things that harm people. Now if you were a Clown TV Show Host like Beck who’s job it is is to ‘ make stuff up ‘ and say weird and outrageous things just to increase his ratings that is one thing. You accept what he is doing and ‘ why ‘ he is doing it. He said he was a Clown… we believed it.
BUT… a sitting U.S. Congressman/Woman who goes to and stands in the actual halls of Congress making a mockery of the position She holds is just wrong. If you want to be a ‘ private citizen’ and act stupid… go for it.
But you are standing there in what is supposed to be a title with some respect… acting like a Congressman. How about showing it…?
If not… follow Sarah’s example… just QUIT! Make us all happy.
You are not a participant on ” The Gong Show “.
I agree with Gasman comments @ 24… some sort of censure would be in order. I’m afraid that Rep. Grayson might be the ONLY one to stand up and say something though. Nobody has the Guts in Congress it seems.
They need to stop laughing at her Jokes. She and the SITUATION is not ‘ funny ‘ anymore. As I said before… This is NOT ” The Gong Show”.
Thanks for the chuckles, AKM.
Made my evening for sure!
Well, I finally watched the trailer for the tea party. Bleah! Are they really as nuts as they sound? Never mind, we all know the answer to that.
Then, while I watched the late editions of Keith and Rachel, I refreshed my memory about Oral Roberts University. Just check wikipedia, and it might be a little easier to understand why Bachman is so weird. And then if you really want to find yourself rolling your eyes, read about Oral Roberts himself. Not only was he known for being a faith healer, but he also had many visions of God and then announced what he was supposed to do – build a tall hospital, raise millions or he would die, among other nutty things.
Sounds like that’s where Bachman got her goofy ways of getting her point across. @ Baker’s Dozen: The Teabaggers are coming! One if by land, two if by sea, three if by airhead! It’s definitely “three, if by airhead” (most polite description of Bachman).
And you make another point about the video. I kept wondering what looked wrong. It’s the red coats! So . . . do the teabaggers want the British to take over again? Or is this just one more example that they didn’t pay attention in history class? Considering how Boehner botched the quote from the Constitution (it was from the Declaration of Independence, sir), I guess none of them bothered with any American History class.
@33
Ron Paul supporters, in a much-publicized rally that included a Ron Paul blimp, held a rally they called the Boston Tea Party ‘07 on (or about) the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party. It has been my belief that the fiscally conservative Ron Paul supporters either lent their branding to the Tea Parties or were copycatted by the organizers of the movement. As for their grass roots spontaneity, it’s interesting to note that the web site for the Chicago Tea Party ‘09, which allegedly arose on its own last spring, was licensed in September ‘08, and was registered by a Koch underling – another well known astroturfer.
These people give me a Chemistry flashback –
“If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the condensate.”
*eye twitch*
Ick. What a pail of innards.
The saddest part is that these people are being “played” and they don’t even know it.
Shouldn’t someone enlighten the red-coated gentlemen that during the American Revolutionary War, the British, against whom we fought, wore red coats? Is there some irony here that I’m missing?
I can’t watch the trailer. After watching BradBlog interview some of these tea party people, my disbelief at their monumental stupidity and ignorance has been completely used up!
From Mother Jones
http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2009/11/tea-partys-takeover-gop
“…one thing about the rally proved sparklingly clear: Michele Bachmann is a major star. When she stepped up to the podium on the Capitol steps, the crowd went wild. It wasn’t too hard to imagine the event as a warm up for the 2012 presidential election, where Bachmann might prove a far more viable candidate than Sarah Palin. The rally confirmed her primacy as a leading voice of the Republican Party—a party that, with this protest, has fully embraced the conservative movement’s most extreme elements.”
It is depressing that this could be what the Repulican Party has come to. We do need a reasoned, and resonable opposition. This is my reasoned and reasonable response.
My snarky response is that I sure wish SP would read this, because it would make her head explode.
CGinWI@50 reports: “…one thing about the rally proved sparklingly clear: Michele Bachmann is a major star. When she stepped up to the podium on the Capitol steps, the crowd went wild. * ** * ** * ** * ** * ** *
Ooooo, that is delicious. And yes, if SP reads that it could well make her head explode.
Q: How many divas does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: Two, one to stand on the chair and change it, and the other to shout “That should be ME up there!”
Betcha that’s exactly what our prima donna SP is sayin’. I would love it if she started to turn on Bachmann, that would be good fun.
Or maybe Michelle will ask SP to be HER running mate in 2012! That would be ultimate popcorn time!
Michele Bachman is challenging Miss Wasilla for the title of Queen Teabagger and she is winning!!
Hey justafarmer – good to see you again! Picking up what Baker’s Dozen pointed out … just a wee bit of understanding history here … the British were in charge of the colonies because at that tea dumping time the revolutionary war hadn’t started yet … and the soldiers representing the Bristish would have been wearing the redcoats and have much better accents … the people that did the tea dumping lived in Boston, dressed up as Indians, boarded a ship and threw the King’s tea overboard. So if you are dressed up like a British soldier and talk about tea then you must be in agreement with the King (otherwise known as the establishment) unless you are a traitor because you are still wearing the uniform and being identified with the British govt. So flash forward to today, maybe the tea people are agreeing with the establishment (which would be today’s US govt) or they are trailors because they want to overthrow today’s govt, or maybe they want to go back under British rule. Any way you look at it, these people can’t even get the historical aspect right and for pete’s sake can’t you come up with a newer idea? A new idea like remember that spoof movie – Attack from Mars – lots of big names in it and the marsians came down to DC and took over the White House and Capital. If I remember correctly the only way to kill them off was to have them listen to country music and their green heads would explode … hummm, that might be an idea.
The major star in our family is the Alaska Native Medical Center, staffed by the Indian Health Service. I am not eligible for ANMC care, but my wife and children and grandchildren are eligible. Their Family Medicine Center is the greatest. The Alaska Native Medical Center is government-run health care, and it is wonderful. Our family supports HB 3962. Two weeks after Obama signs Universal Health Care into law, it will be just as if it had always been the norm, the loonies can go back to protesting flouride in the water, and life will return to normal.
People on Medicare should just STFU.
I was going to add to that but there is nothing else to say!
One imagines the home, any home..of the wingnutter fringe..with their teen agers..making a choice to ’stand up to their parents’..who feed/cloth/shelter them..and do the exact, selfsame thing..the MB random human tissue bits are fomenting, in the halls of Washington. Take over the parents offices and bedrooms for rowdy conversation and blustering lectures on ‘taking back their teenage choices-freedoms’. Teens yanking papers from the family bill-paying desks and tearing them..in front of rolling cameras. Yuppers..would how many consrvarive teens, in ..Some Houses’..will suddenly realize the ..um..er..people-power They have? Jus sayin..
(And kids..should any of ya..decide to engage in this activity..be darn sure you have a Safehouse..already lined up..because there is a term from That 70’s show..that..springs to mind…
I find it very interesting that rep.bachman will only take comments from people in her district.
Would not her actions, if done by a Democrat during the bush administration, be considered treason?
Could you imagine cheney putting up with people threatening congress?
Also, you can’t contact michelle bachmann by email.
How’s that for listening to what “We the people” Really want!!!!
Contact Nancy Pelosi and tell her that ALL representatives, especially those who say they represent the people, should be able to be contacted, BY THE PEOPLE FOR FREE!!!!!!!
“People on Medicare should just STFU.
I was going to add to that but there is nothing else to say!”
Lilybart,
I am on Medicare and have been for 10 years due to a disability. I am only 55 years old.
I resent being told to “STFU”. I am for a comprehensive Health Care bill. 2 of my children have no health care through their employer.
I vote and even volunteered for Bill Owens in NY23rd.
Please be careful not to generalize, republicans are doing that to their own demise.
Diane
After the events of yesterday, the teabaggers and fort hood incident, I tend to agree with honestyinGov. #42. As ridiculous as the teabaggers are there is also an element of danger there. And yes, no congressman/woman should be affiliated with this “hatefest” type atmosphere, the signs these wackos are bandying about are full of hate and disrespect towards the president. I posted on the oprah blog again, as the comments are barely dribbling in at this point. Basically I asked her to view the signs at huffpo and then try to justify giving winky a platform on her show when she has to be aware of the fact that palin is a spokesman for this hatemongering group. I went on to say that since she is giving winky a platform oprah has an obligation to call her out on her lies and constant whipping up of these
unhinged factions. I hope others will post over there again.
Dr. Fred? Is he the surgeon who removed Glen Beck’s appendix yesterday?
No minorities there as usual.
When the republican leader of the house can stand up, join with, lead and promote these people and Bachmann can get away with telling citizens to “scare” her fellow congressmen:
The hoods are off…………..this was just a Klan gathering….it would not surprise me in the least to see Bohner and Bachmann , with Beck and Limbaugh in tow…burning crosses on the Whitehouse lawn.

Is The Tea Party Gang Turning GOP Into A Party of Hate?
When John Boehner, the Republican leader of the House, appeared at the Tea Party rally at the Capitol on Thursday afternoon, it was a dramatic signal:
The wing-nuts have taken over the GOP.
Think I’m being harsh? The angry folks at signs with messages of hate: “Get the Red Out of the White House,” “Waterboard Congress,” “Ken-ya Trust Obama?”
One called the president a “Traitor to the U.S. Constitution.”
Another sign showed pictures of dead bodies at the Dachau concentration camp and compared health care reform to the Holocaust.
A different placard depicted Obama as Sambo.
Yes, Sambo.
Another read, “Obama takes his orders from the Rothchilds” — a reference to the anti-Semitic conspiracy theory holding that one evil Jewish family has manipulated events around the globe for decades.

gasman………I totally agree with you. This was way out of line for a member of congress!
I like how they begin the video, lol………”It began as a ripple, an online whisper” ……. well now it’s gone to full blown crazy, what’s next? what will satisfy these people? they want their country back? who the hell is responsible for telling them it was stolen or went missing? Bachman, Palin, Limpbag, Beck, Coulter, the ‘other’ McCain, hell pretty much the whole republican party and behind the scenes Rupert Murdoch……..they all need to be held accountable for their whacked out preaching.
Thank goodness Owens won.
Just when you think that you have seen/heard it all…..MORE rightwing nuttery:
Igor Panarin’s Doomsday Tea Party
One ex-KGB analyst has been warning for years that the US will collapse in 2010. Conservative activists think he may be on to something.
Thu November 5, 2009 3:03 AM PST
For more than a decade Dr. Igor Panarin, a Russian academic, has been predicting that sometime around 2010 the United States will collapse, splintering into separate states, some of them controlled by foreign powers. Outside of Russia, no one’s put much stock in his crackpot and stereotype-based theories—until now, that is. Who are the newest members of the Igor Panarin fan club? Tea partiers who’ve rallied against the Obama administration’s policies and blasted the president for pushing a “socialist” agenda. And he’s especially big among tea party activists in Texas, who have hosted Panarin and promoted his work.
In Russia, Panarin, who hosts a weekly radio show, is considered a mainstream expert on the United States. Like Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, Panarin used to work for the KGB. He clearly has the support of the Kremlin, for he teaches at* the school that trains Russia’s diplomats. And since the election of Barack Obama last November, Panarin has found a new audience in America among far right activists, many of whom believe Obama is destroying the country.
http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2009/11/igor-panarin-doomsday-tea-party
“But what was most noteworthy was that the entire House Republican leadership was also in attendance—and their rhetoric was just as over-the-top as some of the protesters. House Minority Leader John Boehner declared the health care bill the “greatest threat to freedom I have seen.”
In essence, Congressional Republicans were merging with a movement that gives open expression to racist and anti-Semitic sentiments. ”

would like to know, just how is it THAT:
Michelle Bachmann can get away with telling citizens to “scare” her fellow congressmen?
How does she get away with inciting the public to intimidate congress?
If I went around my neighborhood and told folks to go down and “scare” my local politicians, I KNOW the police would be knocking on my door.
I’m alarmed, but not surprised that the people over at Team Sarah have brought up Joe McCarthy lately in a positive light. Some have even said, and probably rightfully so, that Glenn Beck is a modern day Joe McCarthy and our proud of what he has done. We knew they were right wingnuts, but now we have some that are proud to bring back events from over 50 years ago to remind us of some of our countries darkest days. We can thank Sarah for her stupidity and ignorance for bringing to light other people with her same level of stupidity and ignorance who actually believe that what Joe McCarthy did was a good thing.
If the Teabaggers truly want “freedom,” then I suggest they stop re-electing the same old haggard idiots who do well mouthing sophistic rhubarb but do not do as well at telling the difference between the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. i.e., John Boehnerhead.
LOL I would so love to see a Palin-Bachman ticket in 2012! Let the games begin!
