I was just reading some of the comments on Bree Palin that referred to her Book Tour coming up. Someone had pointed out that at many book signings the author will only sign books purchased at that location. That makes sense or else there would be no advantage to have it if they don’t sell the books there.
Will Palin be following this Rule…?
Because up till now her and Harper Collins were really pushing the Pre-orders.
If someone wanted the book they ordered it online, they planned to buy it at the $10 Walmart price or got it for free with the Newsmax subscription.
Does she have any Palinbots left that will purchase it at full retail to get it signed on this Tour? With the early discounting… maybe few will show up and there will be no crowds. { How embarrassing would THAT be?}
And if this happens at the first few stops…. the negative publicity would be out there and might affect the last city dates. Double ‘ ouch ‘.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
there’s more on fb, I just thought everyone should know what she’s asking her cult group to do.

Now is the time for Americans who believe in the free market and who believe that we need policies that promote job growth instead of job loss to say once and for all, “Enough!” Stand up and make your voices heard before it’s too late. Call and email your representatives and tell them to vote “no” on Pelosi’s train wreck of a health care bill, or else we will vote “no” to sending them back to Washington when we go to the polls in less than 12 months.

Just an example of today’s House discussion – it actually got much worse before the podium was turned over to the republicans. If you tune in now, you will see that the dems are *not* interrupting continuously, the way the republicans did.
Sorry, I posted this on the wrong thread – I am SO angry!
My rep is voting No. I have sent a furious email and phone call stating that he will certainly NOT be getting another vote from me! Oh, I am so angry! I’ve called and emailed so much I was starting to think we were BFF. What an insult. He lists all the reasons he can’t vote for this bill but all the reasons he lists are already in the bill! And the CBO says it will save money in the long run. What a wuss. Do I understand this?
While I was at it, I wrote to Dede Scozzafava and thanked her for having the courage of her convictions and putting the welfare of her constituents over political ideology! Good woman. I hope to hear more from her in the future.
@Say No to Palin in Politics:
It must have been Rep. Tom Price (R-GA) as referenced below (this from the GOP Gone Wild article noted above)
“This morning, the House began consideration of the rule for debate of the House health care bill. As the Democratic Women’s Caucus took to the microphone on the House floor to offer their arguments for how the bill would benefit women, House Republicans — led by Rep. Tom Price (R-GA) — repeatedly talked over, screamed, and shouted objections. “I object, I object, I object, I object, I object,” Price interjected as Rep. Lois Capps (D-CA) tried to hold the floor.
“In an effort to delay and derail the proceedings, the Republicans continually talked over the Democratic women for half an hour. They sought to prevent the debate by calling for unnecessary “parliamentary inquiries” and requests for “expanding the debate” by an hour.
“After being repeatedly interrupted by Republican shouts, Rep. Mary Jo Kilroy (D-OH) observed: ‘Do I not have the right to be able to continue my sentence without objections that are trying to censor my remarks here on the floor that I have a right to make as a member of this House?’ ”

That pisses me off about Rep. Lois Capps (D-CA) being shouted down. She was a nurse before being elected to Congress.

Lois Capps was born in Ladysmith, Wisconsin as the daughter of a Lutheran minister. She has lived in Santa Barbara since 1960. She was educated at Pacific Lutheran University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. The way I understand the book sales is this…if book sells for listed price of $24.99 all persons make money i.e. writer, publisher and store, when book is sold for $10…writer makes money, and publisher makes money, the store is the one who takes the lose.
No matter the price, I will not buy her book, I heard her voice one too many times on the campaign trail and if I read her book, the voice would be replayed in my head, and I have finally gotten over that nightmare, do not wish to revisit that any time soon.

go here to see the blue dog lists of who at this point are saying yes, leaning yes to those who are saying no, leaning no. Many make statements by their names about their why’s.
Then use these phone numbers to call the offices of as many as you can. ASAP, the vote is tonight!
Blue Dog Dems…….please give them some support and encouragement.
ya know, the far right is ticking me off. I own the White House TOO, our government leaders work for me TOO, I have rights TOO, this is my country TOO, GAH! How dare they make a big stink grabbing media attention to their suddenly found gripes all over our country. Busing them in no less, grassroots? I think not.
If someone will pay for my way to rally on the White House grounds to support our new President and my vote, I’ll be on the next bus! But the Dems are not doing that, they are not stooping to the take them out behind the knee underhanded fighting tactics. I understand the why.
But these out of control loud mouths are making me mad.
The citizens of this country deserve the real story, the real documentary behind the scenes reality of this crazy extreme group that demands attention like a spoiled brat not getting what it wants.
Hell yeah, there comes a time for certain hypocritical, belligerent, disrupting, annoying, self serving, money grubbing, lying people to sit down and STFU. Hell yeah!
Really, how dare they, get all indignant now, why the hell didn’t they do this to their own party when Bush was in office? I have just put up with 8 yrs of crappy leadership, I figure that puts my needs ahead of their ‘needs’, they lost the election, I voted for the winner. I want my just deserved promises.
It’s divisive opportunistic low blow politics and that’s why I dislike Scarah so much. Whine about fiscal conservatism, whine about God not being on a coin that Bush was responsible for, why the hell isn’t she laying that on him? Why the hell didn’t she bring up this little crumb of wisdom 4 yrs ago. Because it works for her, that’s why.
GGGRRRRR!!!!!
Okay, deep breath…… rant over……light a candle, glass of wine, peace out.
I just read that the CBO forecasts that premiums for the public insurance would be higher than private insurance.
I haven’t read or heard any other discussion of this and am wondering what’s up. Have they structured this thing so the only people going to the public option will be high risk? Will employers not be allowed to chose the public option for their employee group?
curiouser@32 “I just read that the CBO forecasts that premiums for the public insurance would be higher than private insurance. I haven’t read or heard any other discussion of this and am wondering what’s up. Have they structured this thing so the only people going to the public option will be high risk?”
* ** * ** * ** * ** * ** * ** * ** * ** *
There are certainly some unanswered questions around these issues, ones I’d prefer could be substantively answered. For starters, I’m wondering if these lawmakers know what the word ‘affordable’ actually means.
However, I thought what I read about the CBO forecasts was that both the current option and even the GOP ‘reform-lite’ version would lower health insurance costs, though not by what seemed to be very much.
The formula for the cost of Public Option health care (last I heard) was to be tied to medicare costs.
But the premise is, if all things were equal, a not-for-profit health insurance option (public option) is going to be less expensive than a for-profit health insurance option providing exactly the same coverage, simply because it does not have to charge extra for that pesky little thing the shareholders want: A profit.
I know all about this because I am a Billionaire for Wealthcare. I own stock in companies such as Aetna and I don’t want to see my profits shrink just because you lot don’t like things the way they are now. Like we say, If I ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
Now, I’ve heard that in some countries, they actually think it is evil to make a profit off someone being sick. There are lots of countries that do not have a for-profit health industry at all! Can you believe it? Now, granted, the people who do the actual work – doctors, nurses, administrators – still get paid, and paid relatively well. Lots of people make lots of money working for non-profits. But what we at Billionaires for Wealthcare are trying to do is simply protect our God-given right to keep making money by being shareholders in for-profit health care industries.
Thus, a Public Option is a clear threat, so we thank people like Michelle Bachmann and pretty much all Republican senators and congresspeople, and every single real American who has called their federal representative to urge them to vote against this bill, because the longer we wait to enact reform, the more money I’ll make!
“Despite what CNN reported, decisions about not allowing cameras at the event were the prerogative of the sponsors of the event, and I, of course, respected their decision.

Found this on Bree Palin’s website and ran it through my new Mac Sarah Palin “What I Really Meant” filter program. Here’s what I got::
‘Despite what every news channel reported because it was the actual truth, decisions about not allowing cameras at the event were the prerogative of the sponsors of the event, and I, of course, didn’t actually know that ahead of time, but was perfectly fine with it because I do not want just anybody taking pictures of me or, God forbid, recording what I’ve said so they can confront me with the truth of what I’ve purported later.”
AND …
“I am about to set out on my freakishly small book tour, where local media who rarely get a chance to meet a celebrity of my calibre will no doubt join us at many spots, and if they don’t I will be royally cheesed off. In the meantime, I ask our friends in the media once again: please only ask me easy, happy, friendly questions that have been pre-approved ahead of time by my publisher/spokesperson and quit making a big deal about things that I have so obviously made up, such as the story of the circumstances surrounding the pre-birth and birth of Trig, for which there are now at least three differing and completely incompatible stories not from bloggers but from my own interviews and speeches.”
this is one of the funniest ROTFLMAO videos I’ve seen…and the frightening part is that it’s true…yikes!
can you even imagine what our country would’ve turned into if Obama did not win!!! OMG
I saw the Biography show on Sarah Palin last night on TV. I wonder who advised her to talk “tough”? It’s quite phony. Lord help us if she gets to the White House. I wonder if she is buddies with Russ Limbaugh? She knows how to talk the talk for the audience she’s trying to reach. Scarey, very, very scarey.

ya know, the far right is ticking me off.

I am about to set out on my book tour, where media will no doubt join us at many spots. In the meantime, I ask our friends in the media once again: please quit making things up.”
