Palin to Speak in Wisconsin – Get Ready for the Pat Down.
6 11 2009OK Wisconsinites! Alaska blogger Sarah Palin is coming to your state! She’ll address the Wisconsin Right to Life Group.
Tickets for the event at the Wisconsin Exposition Center outside of Milwaukee, which go for $30, appear to still be available.
The restrictions are “bizarre,” according to Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate.
“You know, for someone who claims to be a rogue and isn’t afraid of what other people think it really is sort of hypocritical to not let the media, the press cover your event,” he told Wisconsin Radio Network.

@ 94 Sassy, Here’s hoping for Spy Pie in her Eye that knows not a lie from lye nor the truth. (forget about ethics, family ‘values’ or even the good old ‘work ethics’… flies right over Palin’s head into “…In what respect Charlie?” territory and probably Russian territory too and also…)
GAH!

why am I being held for moderation?

If Paul McCartney goes, do you suppose he might feel like he’s back in the U.S.S.R.?

What an uptight, paranoid, schizophrenic, hypocritical, scaredy cat, b**ch. You can run but you can’t hide Sarah. I can’t wait until you have your Carrie Prejean moment.
Anyone that would pay to see this piece of work will soon learn the value of the two sayings, “You get what you pay for”, and “a fool and their money are soon parted”.

Just out of curiosity, but isn’t the Exposition Center a public place? Seems to me that the restriction are over the top for Wisconsin… someone ought to challenge the restrictions.

I think one of the main reasons there is such great interest in a SP speech is because her appearances have been very rare since the campaign. Right now it’s just supply vs demand. It seems Palin or her handlers know they can keep interest high by limiting media exposure to her appearances. If she were giving lots of speeches and everyone got to hear more of her incoherent word salad, the criticism by the media and those bad bloggers would quickly put an end to her being a sought after speaker. The limited appearances and exclusion of the media is so she can milk it as long as possible.

Only if you’re Levi Johnston.
November 6th, 2009 at 4:50 PM
Someone should go in wearing a ‘hat cam’ in their baseball cap…that would rule all and I’ll bet they don’t check hats…heh heh…well, they might after reading this
November 6th, 2009 at 4:56 PM
104 Laurie, I too and also think there is interest because of curiosity seekers, ie truth seekers, the Jon Stewart kind. (not the rubber-neckers who slow down at traffic accidents.) One wants to be able to record her lies and platitudes for prosperity. She is a vile vile woman. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer! Spy pie, my oh my indeed!
November 6th, 2009 at 5:14 PM
It would be funny if she tried to read her concession speech or parts of it, at Milwaukee. I can just see the RTL host backstage looking frenzied, saying, no we never told her she could do that” – turn out the lights!!
In her bizarre mind, getting to finally read it because John McCain said “no” last year, has probably crossed her mind.
November 6th, 2009 at 5:29 PM
WTF??? NO CRAYONS??? LOL. No cameras so we can’t have a record of when she sticks her foot in her mouth:P
November 6th, 2009 at 5:49 PM
@laurie – you make a good point there. If there is one thing $P knows is how to stay in the limelight.
November 6th, 2009 at 5:51 PM
@laurie – oops, I meant stage unless someone pulls the plug on her…like her concession speech.
November 6th, 2009 at 5:54 PM
Never fear – someone will be on hand to get the goods on Palin’s spew.
And of course, she is stoking ongoing media interest by the closed door policy she demands at her appearances. She sure is “workin’ hard for Alaska!”
Palin will never hold a public office again as she is too scared to discuss her ‘views’ with anyone.
And she still doesn’t get it that she is merely a fluff girl for the Rep. party, or that she is regarded as a laughingstock to tens of millions of Americans.
For now, the Quitter can laugh all the way to the bank – just like so many other crooks, i.e. Bill Allen, Madoff, etc. But she’ll get hers ….. eventually.
November 6th, 2009 at 6:31 PM
You had me going there for a moment. A trip to the local spy store may be in order. Someone will get it.
November 6th, 2009 at 6:41 PM
Maybe the poor folks in Wisconsin will get a repreive and Tina Fey will deliver the speech.
November 6th, 2009 at 6:43 PM
Well so far, she is still a Governor and a “presidential candidate” to boot!
My my my……………Quit Making Things up!
November 6th, 2009 at 6:58 PM
Kilia – governor of what, exactly? And last time I checked, she has not announced her candidacy for any office, much less President. But go ahead and send her some cash – I’m sure you don’t have any better use for your hard earned money.
November 6th, 2009 at 7:15 PM
snowlady – Kilia was just pointing out the LIES – the event billed her as a “governor” and a “Presidential candidate,” – NOT Kilia!
November 6th, 2009 at 7:16 PM
#111-Eatwildfish- I hope some interviewer on her book tour asks her just what she has done for Alaska since resigning as governor.
November 6th, 2009 at 7:44 PM
Sounds like a dare. Bet there will be something on U-tube immediately following.
The “no memorization” part should be easy though.
November 6th, 2009 at 8:23 PM
I’m sure they will be allowing guns in… Second amendment and all.

Everyone there will be “analyzing” her with new eyes. She IS an ambitious woman, too bad she doesn’t have ethics to go along with her thirst for “power”…
November 6th, 2009 at 8:34 PM
Not exactly OT:
I’m here in Milwaukee, but just hearing this news of this SP speech.
What I did hear about during my work day, just among colleagues
at the main hospitals where I work, that one of the new widows from Fort
Hood works in one of these hospitals;
the daughter of another staff was in
Orlando just leaving the site of another shooting.
And I remember that the guns used at
Virginia Tech and another mass shooting after that were sold by the same
gun dealer in Green Bay WI.
And #Palin’s speech here during the campaign was the start of the
“go sic ‘em ” speeches where her audience had people who shouted
“Kill him…”
A little too much…
November 6th, 2009 at 8:36 PM
No 40 minutes… more like 25 minutes.
“She didn’t mention President Barack Obama by name in her 25-minute speech, but briefly touched on health care reform legislation and pressed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to make sure all voices were heard on the issue.”

Anyone in their right mind wouldn’t shell out $30.00 to sit and listen to a lot of BS!! However, it would be interesting to hear if someone gets in and breaks one of the “rules”. Now That would be a good story.
November 6th, 2009 at 10:08 PM
Do we even have true count of how many of the possible 4500 tickets were sold? If the purchases were short of that number the outcome could have put the event in the hole if the ” featured speaker” took her $100k.
Given the very, very inflated numbers attributed to the Capitol steps charade, as espoused by the right wingers and faux news yesterday, it would be impossible to believe anything coming out of the Wisconsin venue, unless you personally knew the person giving the estimates was a trustworthy person.
November 6th, 2009 at 10:16 PM
terpsichore Right on I have been watching all the money spent lately on winning elections all that money spent and we could probably already have paid for at least part of the health insurance reform bill with some kind of public option.Sure shows why only people or I should say mostly people with money run for political positions Look at Romney and Meg Whitman and Mr feel good Brown, who has the backing of some megabucks in state and out of state,Texas comes to mind,Do any of these people do any thing to help others with all they have or are they hording it and only use what they have to for tax deductions. What a messed up country when you have to spend millions and millions to win an election.I know a friend just told be that it has always been big money that controlled our country.sigh
November 6th, 2009 at 10:36 PM
No stollers? And that’s coming from a mom? I would expect in that case for it to read “no strollers, no car seats, no wheelchairs, no walkers”. No babies, no handicapped, no old people. Just the purty ones who can vote. Sad. Those who need to control to this point must be pretty insecure. Think she’ll even show up?
November 6th, 2009 at 10:38 PM
betzy I know you don’t know who or what to believe I read a post on one of the news sites that they claimed their were 50,000 at the capital and I just can’t see that especially on a work day and with the economy so bad .I guess the republicans could have paid their wages so they could show up but 50,000 I don’t think so. I wouldn’t have thought their were that many that would go to see palin in Wisconsin, was surprised to see they said 5000.I could see it if it was up around Oshkosh, but then again the state fair area is a pretty safe area.
