betzy I know you don't know who or what to believe I read a post on one of the news sites that they claimed their were 50,000 at the capital and I just can't see that especially on a work day and with the economy so bad .I guess the republicans could have paid their wages so they could show up but 50,000 I don't think so. I wouldn't have thought their were that many that would go to see palin in Wisconsin, was surprised to see they said 5000.I could see it if it was up around Oshkosh, but then again the state fair area is a pretty safe area.

No stollers? And that's coming from a mom? I would expect in that case for it to read "no strollers, no car seats, no wheelchairs, no walkers". No babies, no handicapped, no old people. Just the purty ones who can vote. Sad. Those who need to control to this point must be pretty insecure. Think she'll even show up?

terpsichore Right on I have been watching all the money spent lately on winning elections all that money spent and we could probably already have paid for at least part of the health insurance reform bill with some kind of public option.Sure shows why only people or I should say mostly people with money run for political positions Look at Romney and Meg Whitman and Mr feel good Brown, who has the backing of some megabucks in state and out of state,Texas comes to mind,Do any of these people do any thing to help others with all they have or are they hording it and only use what they have to for tax deductions. What a messed up country when you have to spend millions and millions to win an election.I know a friend just told be that it has always been big money that controlled our country.sigh

Do we even have true count of how many of the possible 4500 tickets were sold? If the purchases were short of that number the outcome could have put the event in the hole if the " featured speaker" took her $100k.

Given the very, very inflated numbers attributed to the Capitol steps charade, as espoused by the right wingers and faux news yesterday, it would be impossible to believe anything coming out of the Wisconsin venue, unless you personally knew the person giving the estimates was a trustworthy person.

Anyone in their right mind wouldn't shell out $30.00 to sit and listen to a lot of BS!! However, it would be interesting to hear if someone gets in and breaks one of the "rules". Now That would be a good story.

No 40 minutes... more like 25 minutes.

<i>"She didn't mention President Barack Obama by name in her 25-minute speech, but briefly touched on health care reform legislation and pressed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to make sure all voices were heard on the issue."</i>

Not exactly OT:
I'm here in Milwaukee, but just hearing this news of this SP speech.
What I did hear about during my work day, just among colleagues
at the main hospitals where I work, that one of the new widows from Fort
Hood works in one of these hospitals;
the daughter of another staff was in
Orlando just leaving the site of another shooting.
And I remember that the guns used at
Virginia Tech and another mass shooting after that were sold by the same
gun dealer in Green Bay WI.
And #Palin's speech here during the campaign was the start of the
"go sic 'em " speeches where her audience had people who shouted
"Kill him..."
A little too much...

The "no memorization" part should be easy though.
