The Shannyn Moore Show – Live Blogging
7 11 2009It’s Saturday once again, and the imprisoned public airwaves of poor poor KBYR get their time out of the Big House, and into the Yard for some fresh air and recreation. Ahhhhhh….. Sanity.
Lots to talk about this week. What’s on your mind? Health care, that Don Young compares to “bobbing for apples in an outhouse?” Michele Bachmann calling for Revolution on the steps of the Capitol? Mark Begich pointing out that Alaska has great government-run health care that works just fine? Sarah Palin sinking the GOP ship in NY’s district 23? The Great Levi Twitter debacle?
You know the drill:
Live Stream it HERE.
Time: 5-7pm Alaska time, 6-8pm Pacific, and 9-11pm Eastern.
Give a call, and live blog it in the comments!

If I’m reading Huffington right, Cao supported Boehner. I think it was Johnson from Illinois who voted Yea.
‘Rep. Timothy Johnson (R-Ill.), an obscure member of the party, was the lone Republican to vote against the GOP plan. The purpose of doing so was unclear. Speculation had surfaced on Saturday that, if there were one Republican defection, it would have been Louisiana Republican Rep. Joe Cao. He ended up supporting Boehner.’

@ cassie jeep pike palin
My bad. You are correct! It’s late here……. Perhaps I need to make a phone call to his office before his big chance.

Bill Owens…the new Democrat in NY#23 for the first time since the 19th Century cast the 218th YEA vote…
Thanks Sarah!
November 7th, 2009 at 8:02 PM
C-Span is reporting Cao as the lone republican.

November 7th, 2009 at 8:08 PM
I’m late to the party – watched CSPAN until the end of the vote but called my sister in Canada to discuss. Boodog – glad to see you holding up the mudpups name from our state
Does this mean it really passed? Do we still need a Senate vote? Sorry, but this Canerican isn’t totally conversant in either country’s laws….
November 7th, 2009 at 8:08 PM
So sorry Shannyn…I’ve been obsessed for the past five hours of this Congressional debate and vote.
Retrospective: I hope the American Bar Association remembers Eric Cantor’s last ditch attempt to derail this legislation on the backs of attorneys and their clients, and IMHO ( as the parent of 2 doctors and an engineer and a playwright) if you can’t do the job RIGHT, you shouldn’t be in the profession and if you insist on staying there, you are fair game to the legal system!
Patient rights! To hell with the insurance companies!
November 7th, 2009 at 8:12 PM
I just noticed something odd – my comment above #182 shows 8:08pm but my clock on my computer and phone shows 8:47 now (so maybe a difference of no more than 5 minutes) – thus, some clock is incorrect. Not sure it is important, but maybe if any of these comments are historical (rather than hysterical – sp?)…

I hear the Repub tantrums. The loud stomping of feet. Steele is to be talking on CNN shortly. That’s worth an adult beverage — make it a double!
November 7th, 2009 at 8:23 PM
Cassie,
The comment time is off. I just posted the above 8:21 post time at 8:57 my computer time.
November 7th, 2009 at 8:26 PM
Hi 1smartcanerican! thanks for such a great time today, I hope I didn’t come back here too late. You still here?
November 7th, 2009 at 8:30 PM
Boodog, I am still here! It appears that maybe I should have been listening to Shannyn rather than CSPAN – hard choice tonite.
I’m glad that you survived your trip through the tubes safely. BTW, the NZ libation was excellent
November 7th, 2009 at 8:32 PM
it is so perfect that Bill Owens was elected despite Sarah’s blessing and money…shocking…ha! According to some vote calls he was #218 which was the passing vote.
