Anybody see markos, daily kos, skewer tom tacredo on the ed show? Tom was so upset he threw down his ear piece and stomped off the set in a huff. Once again a draft dodger (tancredo) having an opinion about war, va etc. Yep, cheney, fat *ss rush always running around wanting to send our young people in harms way. But when it was their turn they ran away and hid like the little cry babies they are.

It’s kinda like an open thread. And since it’s about the elections, I have an idea for the up-coming round, in which the GBLT community could play a more positive role.
Aren’t we tired of being voted off the island yet? Let’s change the focus, people. Stand up for the sacred sanctity of marriage, just the way any church-going Xian would have to agree with, or look… rily rily bad.
Time to stop the dissolution of marriage in the modern world, people. Back in the bibletimes, there wasn’t divorce. And if we can legally stop people from marrying, you bet we can vote to stop married people from getting a divorce!
For the next couple of years, why not put your time into something that has a chance of giving you a happy? Start the referendums now. Help your local Xians protect their god-given right to keep marriage to themselves… for ever, and ever and ever.
Get it on the ballot~! NO MORE DIVORCE! Because why should their money be spent to stop GLBT rights, when it could be used so productively to protect their hypocracy?

lol…..oregonbird, I had to read that twice, lol, the first time I was like, surly you joke…….and then it sunk in……I say, yep. give them a taste of their own medicine. They do vow until death do us part, yet allow divorce and then point fingers towards gay and lesbians marrying.

Write petitions. Gather signatures outside churches. Take the new focus into town meetings, and change the debate.
You know they don’t want it — that just makes the arguments they’ll need to come up with against protection of marriage more amusing. Have your biblical quotes lined up. Most importantly, make them spend money that otherwise will be used against GBLT interests.
And know that the GLBT community, divorced from that dread right-winged word ‘marriage’, will get justice eventually. I’m happy with ‘partnership’, when it comes with the legal assumption of economic and social responsibilities and rights.
But for heavens’ sake, let’s make sure that “marriage” is totally protected for our frightened sistern & brethren. Because that’s what the Xians really want, right?
I’m not joking. This is one of the ways to put these people out of business.
