MAINTENANCE: Governor wants to fix state’s assets over five-year period.

I would agree that Couric would not lower herself to the level of SP and even acknowledge a ( personal )response to her claims.
HOWEVER….. since the Book is part of a News Story it would be fair to have Couric to respond to some questions…. and she probably will.
The PERFECT place to do that in a casual interview…..David Letterman Show. And it would be a bonus as well ( both on CBS ) for the ratings.
Couric has appeared on Letterman in the past and they have a GREAT rapport. They are like a Brother and Sister the way they tease each other and the bantor is always funny. They enjoy each others company and they are naturals together. And the pressure would not be on Couric in discussing the comments because Dave is a BIG part of the story as well. He continues to poke fun at her Book every night with those clips.
Couric going on Letterman would be a Gold Mine for CBS. And it would not be perceived as CBS NEWS or Katie ‘ responding to SP claim ‘ in an Official fashion. Because Letterman is ‘ Comedy & Entertainment ‘… something lost on SP.
I also want to see Letterman book Levi. More Comedy Gold and a win/win for both. And if Levi’s ‘ protection ‘ ( Tank ) was booked as well and sitting in the chair next to him during the interview ….? The visual of THAT makes me laugh already.

I”ve just witnessed an unusual bird phenomenon. In my house, I hear big loud cawing, so I open the patio door, and hundreds of crows are lining the tops of trees outside all cawing at the same time. It’s so loud, it’s scary. Have never seen this in my life, and having been around crows. They all start together for one minute, then stop for 5 or 6 seconds; then, it’s absolute quiet. Then, they caw again, steadily, really loud.
Feels like the “Birds”. Anyone else ever see this before?

Boodog; Right! LOL Got the window joke. Like in the ad? OK, I just googled and it’s a behavior with groups who “mob” predators by cawing loudly all together to scare predators. It says, snakes, neighborhood cats (which we have), and raccoons (which we have) too. Must be a group of raccoons foraging for winter. And, they’re in the crows space.

rebekkah – I HAVE had that happen! Last year they freaked me out for almost two weeks, on and off. I couldn’t find a rhyme or reason for it. And with mine, they would circle the house every so often. No particular time of day or weather pattern. Just tons of crows and noise. And, as a kid, I had been chased and pecked by a HUGE crow so this did not sit well with me at all! A friend suggested that perhaps there was a predatory animal in the area and the crows were warning it away. If that was the case then that was one idiot predator !
When ever they are outside & cawing – I clap really hard/loud (once is best) – scares the #*^$ out of them & they fly away. I’m curious if it would work for someone else!!
I just read the excerpt in the Drudge Report–egads! Not only does she have it in for Couric and Wallace, she has done a good job of making both women seem inept at their jobs. Me thinks that they should respond to Palin’s blatant attempt to discredit them.
A question I would like answered by Wallace and others (that I already know the answer to) is, why did the campaign keep her “bottled up”? Could it be (just thinking here) that they knew that Sarah would do exactly what she did in the Couric interview.
We also get the crows here in swKY – early in the spring and then usually when we get our first snowfall. There are so many of them that they totally cover trees and yard. They only stay a few days but will eat anything in the feeders and even go down to the chicken coop to see if they can scrounge from there. We also have a deer feeder in a side yard (for my viewing of deer only – no shooting allowed!) and I’ve seen the crows knock the top of it and get in there for the corn. They are scary and a nuisance, but luckily only seem to be migrating a couple of times a year. I do get shivers when I see them and think of Hitchcock’s “The Birds” movie.
Here is a little tidbit of good news. I just received a ” Thank You ” email from the
people at ” dropdobbs.com” because I must have signed their petition awhile back. It just said ‘ Congratulations’… etc…..

Great Granny The Birds movie scared the bejeebbers out of me as a kid, I still remember it too. Rod Sterling (sp) and Alfred Hitchcock were too scary for my brain to handle. I would agree that Couric would not lower herself to the level of SP and even acknowledge a ( personal )response to her claims.
HOWEVER….. since the Book is part of a News Story it would be fair to have Couric to respond to some questions…. and she probably will.
The PERFECT place to do that in a casual interview…..David Letterman Show. And it would be a bonus as well ( both on CBS ) for the ratings.
Couric has appeared on Letterman in the past and they have a GREAT rapport. They are like a Brother and Sister the way they tease each other and the bantor is always funny. They enjoy each others company and they are naturals together. And the pressure would not be on Couric in discussing the comments because Dave is a BIG part of the story as well. He continues to poke fun at her Book every night with those clips.
Couric going on Letterman would be a Gold Mine for CBS. And it would not be perceived as CBS NEWS or Katie ‘ responding to SP claim ‘ in an Official fashion. Because Letterman is ‘ Comedy & Entertainment ‘… something lost on SP.
I also want to see Letterman book Levi. More Comedy Gold and a win/win for both. And if Levi’s ‘ protection ‘ ( Tank ) was booked as well and sitting in the chair next to him during the interview ….? The visual of THAT makes me laugh already.
Plus Dave would of course bring up PlayGirl as well…. for Jokes.

I”ve just witnessed an unusual bird phenomenon. In my house, I hear big loud cawing, so I open the patio door, and hundreds of crows are lining the tops of trees outside all cawing at the same time. It’s so loud, it’s scary. Have never seen this in my life, and having been around crows. They all start together for one minute, then stop for 5 or 6 seconds; then, it’s absolute quiet. Then, they caw again, steadily, really loud.
Feels like the “Birds”. Anyone else ever see this before?

rebekkah – I HAVE had that happen! Last year they freaked me out for almost two weeks, on and off. I couldn’t find a rhyme or reason for it. And with mine, they would circle the house every so often. No particular time of day or weather pattern. Just tons of crows and noise. And, as a kid, I had been chased and pecked by a HUGE crow so this did not sit well with me at all! A friend suggested that perhaps there was a predatory animal in the area and the crows were warning it away. If that was the case then that was one idiot predator !
I don’t like crows. They get the baby birds here.
When ever they are outside & cawing – I clap really hard/loud (once is best) – scares the #*^$ out of them & they fly away. I’m curious if it would work for someone else!!
I just read the excerpt in the Drudge Report–egads! Not only does she have it in for Couric and Wallace, she has done a good job of making both women seem inept at their jobs. Me thinks that they should respond to Palin’s blatant attempt to discredit them.
A question I would like answered by Wallace and others (that I already know the answer to) is, why did the campaign keep her “bottled up”? Could it be (just thinking here) that they knew that Sarah would do exactly what she did in the Couric interview.

We also get the crows here in swKY – early in the spring and then usually when we get our first snowfall. There are so many of them that they totally cover trees and yard. They only stay a few days but will eat anything in the feeders and even go down to the chicken coop to see if they can scrounge from there. We also have a deer feeder in a side yard (for my viewing of deer only – no shooting allowed!) and I’ve seen the crows knock the top of it and get in there for the corn. They are scary and a nuisance, but luckily only seem to be migrating a couple of times a year. I do get shivers when I see them and think of Hitchcock’s “The Birds” movie.

Great Granny The Birds movie scared the bejeebbers out of me as a kid, I still remember it too. Rod Sterling (sp) and Alfred Hitchcock were too scary for my brain to handle. Apparently, some of them are upset about the public backlash from their vote against Franken’s anti-rape ammendment.
Noooo, they don’t regret voting against an ammendment that was inspired by the gang rape, kidnapping and forcible imprisonment (without food or water) of a young woman working for Halliburton in Baghdad. What has their panties in a twist is that it was a role-call vote (and their individual votes are recorded) as opposed to a voice vote where they apparently maintain some anonymity. They don’t feel bad about HOW they voted, they’re just cranked about having to take RESPONSIBILITY for those votes come election time.
They just don’t understand why people are so upset about them voting against the ammendment. And now they’re claiming that Franken doesn’t really care about preventing this kind of brutal crime, but the Democrats just wanted something they could use to make the Republicans look bad. Guess what, folks, you’re doing a dandy job of that all by yourselves!

In that case, libel/slander are on the table for Katie/Nicole. Damages in $$ would likely be big enough to prevent any income earned from remaining with SP.
