Fox Panel Speculates About 2012.

15 11 2009

Before you click the play button, have a sweater handy. Heck, make it a parka because your blood is going to run cold. Thick and cold.

The apple does not fall far from the tree; the apple being Liz Cheney, and the gnarled, creaking tree with a shriveled black dead frozen heart is her father Dick Cheney. After telling us that Sarah Palin is absolutely a serious candidate for president in 2012, and what a fabulous and “well-written” book she has, she says it would be nothing short of sexist for someone to not think she’s a contender. After all, whoever the candidate is is going to have to be able to:

“…address these incredibly grave challenges we’re facing as a nation. They’re going to … in my view, they will have to undo a lot of the damage that this president has done to our national security, to our economy, to our health care system, to our standing around the world…”

Sexist. Why doesn’t anyone accuse Palin critics of being unqualifiedists, or whackjobbists, or narcissistists? OK, that last one is unpronounceable, but you get my point.

Juan Williams has a great “are you crazy?” response, and then we launch into “bow gate.” I won’t ruin it for you.

And then, at the end…. the words are spoken. Liz Cheney says you can look at the comparison between Dick Cheney and Barack Obama and think,

“Cheney 2012.”

I don’t care to watch the video with Liz or any other Cheney. All BS!!
I watched the Guyana story this weekend of Jim Jones and how many people he brained washed. Now I am thinking just how others in America are being brained washed by the likes of the Cheney’s , Sarah, Fox News —-and the list goes on , and on, and on——–.What or who will it take to get people to get their heads screwed on right?

I lasted about one minute in when I found myself shouting the “c” word (rhymes with “hunt”) at Ms. Cheney. This is why I can’t go into polite society anymore.

I am now a full-fledged member of the eye rollery, head bangery, whack jobbery, nose pickery, hand slappery, leg kickery, and tongue stick outery club. Save me from Palin and her ilk…please, someone.

    seattlefan Says:

I watched about 1/4 of it and found myself wondering why is she even considered a “pundit” or “talking head”. By virtue of being the daughter of Cheney? The GOP is out of control. Period!

    mlaiuppa Says:

Obama has damaged our standing in the world compared to Bush? Really? You really want to compare the world’s perception of the United States during Bush and during Obama? Really? You want to take a poll on how popular Obama is compared to Bush? Really? I mean… really?

I’m sure Liz Cheney loves her Father. I’m also sure she’s blind to being objective about her Dad as a candidate and certainly about Sarah Palin as a candidate. She’s read parts of the book? What parts? Well written? Does Liz even know that Lynn Vincent wrote the book? If Liz Cheney think Sarah Palin is a serious and legitimate contender for the Republican nomination based soley on the fact that we was on the last ticket as a VP and she’s a woman, well Liz Cheney is exactly the kind of faith based, brainless twit the McCain/Palin campaign was aiming for. Too bad Cheney didn’t have more kids.

Bow gate? It’s a matter of respect. Cheney and Palin aren’t exactly known for their courtesy and deportment either. I’m sure if Obama didn’t bow they’d label him as “uppity” and report on his dissing the Emperor of Japan and his wife.

I question the practice of showing these (Fox) clips here and places like Huffington Post. What is the point? We know they are lunatics. I turned off Fox News in the 90’s. Cheney was dead wrong on everything, except very successful on making money for war profiteering cronies and the oil industry.

We need to be proactive. The way to beat them, is to get progressives elected.

Sometime during their childhood my sons changed the saying “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree”, which was and is a favorite saying of their father. They changed it to, “The apple doesn’t fall far from the horse”.

Did any one here happen to notice that she did not say “Dick Cheney 2012″.
Could it be she was projecting a Freudian slippage sort of miss-peak, I mean Miss Cheney 2012.

( I read this over at that TPM tree house, I think)

IMO, Liz Cheney is positioning herself as Republican VP candidate in 2012. No matter how horrible this sounds (considering SP), the voting public has gotten used to seriously considering a female on the ticket. Conservative repubs and freepers want a female on the ticket (astonishing). Liz (Cheney Jr.) would work because she’s not as big of an idiot as SP and she has the prerequisite 5 children. She appears to do as she’s told and is not a ‘maverick’ though I’m pretty sure she’s a rogue (without the lipstick). Jeb Bush has already spoken of heading up a ’shadow’ government. Some are nostalgic for another Bush/Cheney regime.

    Lord, help us all.

i noticed that good ol’ liz, pundit from hell, didn’t specify which vampire, i mean cheney, when she suggested the nightmare scenario, “cheney 2012.” in the past 8 months or so she has been on tv countless times, tearing apart obama in a fact free zone, and idolizing darth cheney, who is lucky he’s not in jail. these two make me nauseous. i just hope the majority of the country feels the same way.

@wolfpack- i agree that we need to get proactive. there is a huge population of various ethnic groups that don’t go to vote. but, their culture is threatened by these right wing Christian lunatics. we need to get to these factions and get them involved…. (ex: zen, buddhist believers, etc.)

Expert from “The War Prayer” – Mark Twain

“It was a time of great and exalting excitement. The country was up in arms, the war was on, in every breast burned the holy fire of patriotism; the drums were beating, the bands playing, the toy pistols popping, the bunched firecrackers hissing and spluttering; on every hand and far down the receding and fading spread of roofs and balconies a fluttering wilderness of flags flashed in the sun……

It was believed afterward that the man was a lunatic, because there was no sense in what he said. “

I saw this on tv this morning, and I almost choked on my breakfast. I cannot believe anyone would say that SP is a viable candidate for the POTUS in 2012 with a straight face. Choosing her for VP was a huge mistake, and most people know it, including the McCains!

    OTOH, Democrats would rejoice, lol.

Staffed predominantly by former staffers of John McCain’s presidential campaign, the group collects donations and data about contributors and visitors to its website, and reserves the right to share that data with unspecified “third parties.” ”

We cannot let Dick or Liz Cheney back into the Oval Office. They are pure evil.

I’m not going to be able to watch this video because this woman does make my blood run cold. really, really does. worse than her father. Cheney very deftly overlooks the fact that the damages done to our economy and national security started at the hands of the Bush/Cheney administration and were well documented before Obama….she just can’t acknowledge the damages that her father was a part of.

    Marnie Says:

I dare them to run Liz Chaney.
She has a trail of lies, on tape, just about as long as Sarah’s.
The Chaney name brand is running about 20 some % approval. She’ll have a major uphill climb.

  31. 81
    Simple Mind Says:

Please make it true. A Cheney/Palin ticket would be the greatest gift to progressives since Goldwater. The further Cheney and Palin drive the Republican party into whackdoodle land, the more moderate Republicans they leave stranded, the more they open the field for democrats and progressives. Remember George McGovern?

  32. 82
    Desa Jacobsson Says:

Chris Mattews of MSNBC had it right. The ticket of (holding nose) McQuittyCutty and Lord Darth Cheney, Jr. will be the equivalent of the old, American classic, ” To Kill a Mockingbird. ” This will appeal to those “Real Americans” who will see a blond and an idiot running against “That One.”

Palin and Cheney. Two nuts in one cracked shell.

If you don’t know about the Discovery Institute (www.discovery.org), you should. The short short story: The Discovery Institute is a pro-creationist (”Intelligent Design”) think tank heavily supported by ultra-right wing funds, cheerfully located at Union and 4th in downtown Seattle. They dish out the same rewarmed, widely discredited creationist bullshit that the right wing christians have tried to cram into schoolchildren for decades now. They’ve been all too successful as of late.

    ———-

Don’t worry too much about them, bird. Just ask the good people of Dover, PA, about what happens when Discovery tries to get the curriculum unscientific. Discovery lost big time in the heart of conservative country.

That quote about destabilizing the current foreign policy is TREASON, as in aiding & abetting the enemy.

Someone(s) contact the DOJ about this…as in a whole bunch of e-mails to DOJ to follow-up….from a bunch of us…
