I would guess that almost all children with Down Syndrome in Alaska (and who are old enough) go to school. All public schools must accept children with Down Syndrome (or any other disability), and most mid-large sized schools have a kid or two there with Down Syndrome. Yes, these kids need extra help (and likely a full-time aide), but that’s why the state provides extra money for schools for “special ed” students.

Now, I agree that Trig will be too young for kindergarten in Sept 2012, but I’m sure he’ll go when he’s old enough. He may well go to a public preschool before that, since many public schools provide preschool programs for 3+ year old with disabilities.

With all the religious reference in her “book”AND her belief system ….Neanderthals are not a part of this.

Palin does not believe in evolution …….”man” (as we know it to be today) was created by “God”, not descended from monkeys……how many times have you heard that from retro evangelists.

306 Wolf Pack – Love the S’error name, which is both creative and very descriptive. She thinks she’s doing a great job raising her children, but I think she is raising Piper to be a little monster. What is “cute” when they’re around 6 and 7 turns into obnoxiousness when they’re 11 or 12. I find it hard to believe that anyone thinks this woman is qualified to hold any elected office.

wolf pack: anybody that doesn’t buy her spiel is “opposition”. Note that her most vehemently attacked victims in the book are strong women who didn’t buy her crap. Wallace and Couric.

And one of the main goals of the book was try to embarrass them and create conflict between them, ie junior high in Wasilla.
