Side note regarding 'Stein': Our family is not Jewish, our ancestors are Christian. She [SP] would do herself a favor by understanding that.

@ 74 mommom Says:
This article on Huffpost by a 17 year old truly sums it up.
By: William A. Nelligan

Sorry, I'm not buying it. Absolutely NOT written by any 17-year old. Harlan Ellison didn't write like that at 17. Mark Twain, William Goldman and Ben Disraeli were writing at 17, and despite the brilliance of each already being obvious even at that early age, the limitations of inexperience -- in language, philosophy and incorporation of information -- was apparent.

C'mon. You know what the modern school system is turning out. And we're *generations* into the DDDs -- Deliberate Dumbing Down. Let's not prove it by accepting anything off HuffPo as gospel, hmm?

Or have you not on occasion compared a headline to the actual article? Not exactly WOG, old HuffPo.

OMG, Palin is positively deranged! I would never be able to make it through without your commentary. The books sounds...really boring, in addition to being disturbed, petty and dishonest. I hope you don't suffer any permanent damage from this experience.

This article on Huffpost by a 17 year old truly sums it up.

By: William A. Nelligan

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As much as enjoy a good Palin scathing, I cannot believe a 17 year old, wrote this.
No matter what the IQ or interest in politics, This is tooooo much.
First of all you would have to believe he read Palin's ENTIRE book in one morning, (4-5 hours!) then wrote this critic AND posted it by 12:21pm (followed the HuffPo link to original post):
17 Year-Old Thinks Palin is "Going Childish"
Posted by Youth Radio Editor on November 17, 2009 at 12:21pm
http://www.youthradio.org/news/17-year-old-thinks-palin-going-childish
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(from his post)
Sarah Palin, in her bestselling new book (anybody outside of the media or McCain campaign buying it?), delves into some pretty weighty topics over the course of 400 pages.

“Sarah” presents a wide cast of characters in this 400-page political treatise, each about as three-dimensional and nuanced as the 4th season cast of One Tree Hill.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If Anna Marie Cox
( Ana Marie Cox (born September 23, 1972) is an American author and blogger. She is the founding editor of the political blog Wonkette and is widely considered synonymous with the title. She is Washington editor of the Time magazine web site and previously held the same position at the defunct Radar Magazine.)
 can't give a "admittedly" decent review in roughly the same amount of time, no 17 year old is up to the task.
We are all tired of Palin's nonsense, so I am in no mood to be played by a " 17 year old kid."
Please don't think that I am criticizing you mommom, but I had read the following article earlier, so my bull$hit radar went off on this.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Dueling Palin Reviews Equals Zero For Readers

But let's consider the two points of view. Writing "for the left" is Air America blogger (and Friend to Eat The Press) Ana Marie Cox, who, by her own admission, was given a single afternoon to read the entire book and render a "review." This restriction, apparently, did not bother the Post's editors, but Cox made sure to mention it, out of deference to readers.

Cox:

I cannot claim to have completely read "Going Rogue" -- I had to skim the last 150 pages (or more than one-third). I only got the thing into my hands late Monday afternoon with a deadline of early evening. It's terrible, I know, but if I didn't read it all, neither can Sarah Palin claim to have completely written it.

Cox, despite the limitations imposed on her review opportunity, gamely attempts to pull out some interesting details and make as informed a criticism as anyone can who's admitted up front that it won't be possible. Lest you think that I'm mounting a blind defense of a personal friend, I'll tell you that Ana Marie's review is surprisingly bereft of the sorts of insights into Palin's relationships with the various players in the McCain campaign that I know she could offer, having covered the McCain campaign as extensively as she has.
