It’s technically Friday, and that means that the week I’ve been dreading for over a month is almost at an end.  I pretty much wrote this week off except for blogging  Palin’s book.  It’s become slower going, but I continue to make progress.  Unlike in Alaska, there’s a bookstore in Santa Cruz that has an amazing sense of humor.  This is from Geoffrey Dunn at the Huffington Post who tells us about the bookseller and the hilarious snack food “Sarah Palin’s Just Plain Nutz.”

For those who can’t stomach Palin’s duplicitous work of fiction, the one-ounce bag of walnuts is available for $3.98 and can also be ordered at www.bookshopsantacruz.com.

“Our bag of nuts is an honest one ounce; it’s also good for you, and won’t cause you to feel compelled to go out and shoot a moose. Sarah’s new book of fictions is none of those things,” says Bookshop owner Casey Coonerty Protti. “We felt we needed to strike a balance.”

Bookshop Santa Cruz has a long history of commenting on political books. In 1993, Bookshop Santa Cruz weighed Rush Limbaugh’s book, See I Told You So, and sold it for the price of baloney. In 1995, when Newt Gingrich was named Time magazine’s Man of the Year, Bookshop Santa Cruz sold each copy of his book, Contract With America, along with a custom-made barf bag.

I don’t think Quitty wants to be President some day.I think her attention to fundraising for the GOP,after screwing them in NY23,shows that she wants Michael Steeles job.I am sure they will give it to her .After all,she sucks as a half term Governor, she lost in the last Presidential race, she really sucks as an aothor, what other skills does she have to market except fundraising?

Mo, that clip and the FB comments are priceless. It’s one thing for her supporters to hear that she’s bailed on the Simi Valley ladies or the Alaskan Family Council or the republican congressional dinner, or Alaska for that matter — but when the faithful are personally dissed by their Queen they’re not going to blame it on Meg Stapleton.

    rebekkah, thanks for your insights.

Personnally, I think the downfall has been the decision of the Evangelicals to try and “infiltrate” goverment.

Politics is a blood sport and that’s why religion and politics make good bedfellows. It leads to too much deception and willingness to win at any cost.

Why can’t they work on social issues like helping feed hungry children and helping the abused and lonely. They ignore these and focus their attention on political hot buttons like abortion and gays and opposing healthcare for the poor.

Aren’t there better things they could be doing with their money than sending it to pay for Palin’s legal bills (Dobson send her amost 200K).

Interesting how quickly her people turned. How quickly they angered when she didn’t do as she promised and they were directly affected. Maybe they are realizing something? Wonder how many unsigned copies of books were found in the parking lot after everyone left?

I notice that FauxNews was busted again by using misleading file footage, this time from a Palin rally last year, to make it seem that there was more excitement on the Palin “Going Rogue” World Tour. It was an easy catch. The footage FauxNews used show a teleprompter – you know, those things that Palin never used. Also lots of “Country First” signage.

Palin hasn’t been employing teleprompters at any of these events because they are not large venues in which she could speak to the unwashed masses. She’s in bookstores. The real hoot is, they didn’t even need to hype the tour, what with 1,500 sheeple willing to camp out to see Queen Sarah.

Well, guess what, these weasel words make me even more determined to never, ever do business with them again. There is nothing to debate when some design implies that the Obama children should be fatherless and Michelle a widow.

“On Wednesday in a surprise move, the man Palin hired to study an in-state gas line resigned his position. Lawmakers say he was forced out because of pressure from DNR Commissioner Tom Irwin who viewed Noah’s work as a threat to his AGIA project.

Irwin was hired under Palin and has done more than any other DNR Commissioner in recent history to risk the state’s economic future by tying Alaska’s gas pipeline hopes to his ego and a failing strategy that Palin has very Palin-esqly termed competition.”

I was an Obama supporter, as I voted for George W. Quotes from ACLU and ADL reps are given in the article at the Christian Science Monitor. The ADL rep is particularly senseless, I think.

    Kapt. Blasto Says:

I came to this blog, through a friend of mine’s pages, PenniD, over at NewsVine, and I was told of all the Sarah Palin “cliff notes” that you had on your pages.

Judging from what I have read so far, it seems that you don’t take kindly to Palin, and all the fanfare she has been getting lately in the heartland, and one of the examples that you posted about: Alaska being #2 in hunger, in the US.

Surprisingly, I saw North Dakota at the bottom of the list at #51! (I thought there were only 50 states, but I guess you have to count DC as a separate state, for these purposes.)

Anyway, I shouldn’t be so surprised that North Dakota IS at the bottom of the list, as they appear to be one of four states, that are not running a budget deficit. I forget what the other four are.

The reason as to why, (reading from numerous sites pointing to this anomaly) is the way North Dakota handles the state’s BANKING and Financial matters (they have their own state bank, and handle matters in certain ways, counter to all the other states)

What does this have to do with hunger? Well, It could be because North Dakota’s bank is a Farmer’s bank. and the way that they handle
food-financials in that state, and the fact that the State government uses that bank as their bank for payroll, accounts, and what-ever-else.
(but I suppose you could come up with better reasons than I.)

Anyway…I’d like to take a moment and ask if you saw Defeat the Debt’s YT site, lately. Sure, those doing research about the organization will report that it’s Berman’s front for the Corporate Lobbying that he’s doing, for Corporations that want not to see the minimum wage raised. I’ve seen numeroous websites claiming that Berman is a snake, a shyster, whatever…but, perhaps, like you, my first exposure to Berman was through watching the “Pledge” video…seeing all those kids pledge allegiance to America’s National Debt, “and to the Chinese government that lends us money”

And amidst all the “China OWNS us” crap that keeps getting chanted like some drunken prayer, in the media. I decided to actually do something about it: submit to Berman a solution!

Here’s my whole idea: What if…we could pay off the national debt…with just ONE COIN? Sounds too impossible to even take a second to think about it?

Here…try this idea: What if…we took the whole tax burden that America now pays to, not only service the national debt, as well as the government services, that we “enjoy” (:-/), and,
take it OFF the shoulders of working americans, be they rich or poor, or whatever…increase it up 100-FOLD, and place it on the shoulders of the Federal Reserve Corporate Entity?

And through simple paperwork (Fed sending promissory note to Treasury, and Treasury sending the “COIN” or the “Tax Credit Certificate”), done in whatever government offices, This “Coin” that I speak about, will help to do EXACTLY what I said it would do! And Government no longer needs to float another BOND (savings or otherwise) to obtain funds to pay for anything, meaning that THE DEBT, STOPS GROWING!

In other words, we use our central bank to be the “beast of burden” that Congress, unwittingly, made it to be.

Doesn’t anyone here realize that when Congress made the FED, and the IRS in 1913 Congress made the very tools that it COULD HAVE USED to create money DEBT-FREE, AND without having to take from your pockets to do it!

Sure doesn’t seem like it, now, does it? Well, it’s probably because of hard-headed backward thinking, from all involved parites. The misplaced sense of justice, when we utter “Pay your FAIR SHARE”, because no one thinks anyone else is doing that, and everyone thinks they themselves are paying UNFAIR SHARES…

Here. Let me stop here, and let you go and look at my proposal. It’s in the channel comments over at http://www.youtube.com/defeatthedebt, right underneath the video, at the bottom of the channel page.

Again, my internet handle is Kapt. Blasto, and you can find my little? messages at various places across the web by googling my handle “kapt blasto” and reading whatever you want to read. Yes you’ll find my missives on a whole plethora of things, and even previous thoughts concerning the FED and the IRS, that has been transformed into what I’m proposing now.
