Sunday Funnies – Moore Up North!

22 11 2009

For those of you who missed Moore Up North on KYES Channel 5 yesterday, here is the hilarious intro with the incomparable Alice Welling in the role of Sarah Palin, and the “effete young chap” Andrew Halcro who was first introduced to the world on page 116 of Going Rogue.

The rest of the show’s segments can be seen at Shannyn’s blog HERE.

$P still doesn’t get in it!! In the bigger scheme of being qualified as “Leader of the Free World”, no one really cares about the parochial issues she had such extensive “executive” experience about in Wasilla and AK (apologies to Alaskans). If her entire scope of experience and discussions with Charlie and Katie (as on O’Reilly and Hannity) were on parochial political issues, no wonder they were left on the cutting room floor.
She was now in a bigger arena, and she didn’t know squat!!! No ideas on economic matters… her stumbling answer about the bailout said it had to deal with health reform and job creation under the umbrella of a non-scary trade! The POTUS deals with national and international issues, not building permits in Wasilla, and roads in Juneau. She never did get it! She still doesn’t get it!! How can any “educated” – not meaning only college-education, her, but keeping oneself informed – person in 2009 still confuse Iran and Iraq??
Who cares if she decided to have a Downs’ Syndrome baby, after deciding against an abortion? How does that affect the world price of commodities and affect world trade? International relations??
She is just plain, downright stupid, and quite happy to wallow in her low-level world and stupidity!
    Sorry… I have had enough.
Thanks AKM for “wading through the mire” of this super-idiot’s “book”!
I don’t know how you do it!! You have intestinal fortitude.

Sarah also gives Christians a bad name!! CS Elliot (one of her alleged favorite writers) said the problem with christianity is that so few actually understand and follow the teachings of Jesus. Sarah follows her pharisee-like view,.. and from the Biblical text we know those were the persons with whom Jesus had His biggest issues… not the l”liberal sinners”

IMy favorite was Andrew Halcro saying that the only way SP could come up with the word “effete” was if Fitzgerald were her ghost writer. Ahahahahaha.

And Anne Kilkenny. Wow, what an impassioned plea for sane discourse amongst bright human beings. Would that we could all elevate ourselves to this level of caring.

By far one of the best shows for telling it like it is re: how MANY Alaskans view our glittery xgov….. Shannyn is a gifted catalyst for bringing concerned citizens together to have meaningful conversation. Impressive. (Rachel & Keith, listen up!! :-) )
Sortof like a certain blogger brings thousands to her site daily to read indepth articles and discuss them.
We are so lucky to have both of you working so hard, doing the reading/research/thinking/publishing to get the word out …. and the Truth will set us free.

The ‘under the bus’ theme was great and grew to an interesting conclusion, ..there is still room for us all there, as we’re all still stunned with what is happening. What was even mo’betta last night, was the film about 2012 movie intro on SNL…she must’ve really riled someone there…I’m just sorry for the missed opportunities for something of good to come from all this exposure, instead of divisive dribble.

    From Wasilla..

Not quite all the story folks…. There is a Conservative Republican perspective of Sarah swirling around the Alaska GOP, it isn’t of admiration and honor I assure you. Not many are vocal, as of yet. Media just doesn’t seem that interested in this source of insight from the Ak GOP or Palin. But if it’s ever tapped it could be the beginning of the end.

I loved the show, and the wonderful MATURE panelists. It was intelligent, sensibly humorous, and inclusive. All the criticism on the blogs of Palin- which she is apparently reading – gives the narcissistic/mean girl – more fuel to be more dangerous and vindictive. It would be patriotic on the part of Conservative Republicans to honor our country’s security and unity to make this woman “sit down and shut-up”.

I wasn’t really interested in watching it as I live in CA, so how could it be interesting to me? ROFLMAO I am so glad I did watch it. What great sports they are! They need to thank Sarah, though, for the script.

Oh dear Sarah, as you are reading this, what where you thinking when you drew attention with your book to all those people you threw under the Bus?

They are out and dusting themselves off and getting on their own bus. All together from all sides of the aisle. Ooops.

Loved the show. It was serious yet hilarious. Shannyn’s story about her friend and the abusive husband was priceless. The guests were fantastic and I hope she has them on again.

LOVED the show. If you only have a few minutes, be sure to check out the 5th segment (on Shannyn’s website). The comments from John Bitney and Andrew Halcro were fascinating. Seems as though all the smart people are under the bus and poor SP is all alone inside…the ride’s gonna get really bumpy.

This attached WSJ article has some info on Bitney’s fallout with the Palin’s.

    http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122092043531812813.html

Long story short, John Bitney was pallin’ around with the estranged wife of one of Todd’s close buds, Scott Richter. This made Todd mad, Todd whined to his Gov wife and Gov wife fired bad man that upset her shirtless and tanned man-hunk, Toddy.

Debby Richter, now Debbie Bitney is in charge of the Permanent Fund Division for the State of Alaska (Sarah appointed her to the position while the relationship with the Richters was still golden. But, Debbie did have ONE WHOLE YEAR of college completed studyin’ accountin’ and stuff, so she was qualified, ya know!!) Funny that Debbie didn’t get thrown under the bus with her ex-hubby…wonder why they chose sides and scrapped John Bitney but not his new wife?

The big “data loss” snafu that occurred prior to the 2008 dividend being disbursed happened under Debbie Bitney’s watch. Guess a few more years of accountin’ school couldn’t have hurt?

This is just more Palin place drams….

    AKPetMom Says:

Oops, I meant to say, funny that Debbie didn’t get thrown under the bus with her NEW HUBBY, not ex-hubby….

I have faith! Thanks for all that you do! Especially for putting up with those dolts, ken and jbodine – and revealing so clearly their desires for an Aryan Republican Nation. It’s this fanaticism that will never allow them to control politics or win over any type of moderate. Whack Jobs, with a captial W and a capital J!

    KateinCanada Says:

I wonder how many of Sarah’s nasty comments are revenge and how many are pre-emptive strikes. Bitney was pretty civil.

Somone’s note asked Shannon if interviewing Palin made Oprah quit. Sure it did. Oprah had planned to stay on daytime TV for 42 years, but after seeing Sarah, she decided to become a quitter after only 25.

    Marnie Says:

There are going to be a few of the Palinistas who in reading a book with so much “ugly” are going to realize that their idol is very tarnished. And some real Christians who see a very un- Christian person.

Among other issues is the fact that Sarah bad mouths a lot of people. Those people have friends and family and coworkers who are going to be put off by Sarah’s bad mouthing somebody they know and like. I doubt a lot of McCain supporters are Sarah supporters.
Whether or not Sarah gains as much as she looses will be interesting to watch.

I’m betting on a net lose of supporters. Probably a small one, but it will be meaningful for her long term survival if she keeps up exposing her inner uglyness.

As she continues her scorched earth approach to politics, a la NY-23, which undoubtably insulted a lot of New York state republicans, I suspect there will be a flash back at some point. Unless the RepoCons just give up and let the most narrow minded subset of the RepoTaliban take over the machinery of the party.
