Fiorina Seeks the Kiss of Death
That’s right, none other than Carly “Ship Them Jobs Overseas” Fiorina is humbly grovelling for the endorsement of Sarah Palin. She will be running for the U.S. Senate against the three term Democratic Senator from California, Barbara Boxer. When asked if she thought Sarah Palin would endorse her bid for Senate or that of her opponent Assemblyman Chuck DeVore, Fiorina had this to say:
“You’ll have to ask Sarah Palin,” Fiorina said. “I share Sarah Palin’s values, so I … suspect, I hope that Sarah Palin thinks it’s important to win.”
We can see the Boxer ad already (insert ominous voice): “Carly Fiorina says she shares Sarah Palin’s values. Tell Carly Fiorina those aren’t your values.” After all, California voters last year rejected the John McCain-Palin ticket in droves, as Barack Obama carried the state by a record-smashing 24 point margin.
So the Palin “Kiss of Death” as exhibited in the NY House District 23debacle doesn’t seem to bother the former Hewlett Packard CEO. And Heck, she’s got the Palin “through the looking glass” strategy down cold. The Queen of killing U.S. jobs, she actually accuses the Democrats and by extension Boxer of implementing policies that jeopardize U.S. job. I believe Fiorina’s the one who called the out-sourcing of U.S. jobs “right-sourcing.” How quickly they want us to forget.
Meanwhile we wait anxiously for Fiorina to get the coveted Palin endorsement…

G’head, Sarah… help the lady out! (and KEEP her out!
)
Just say NO to Carlyfornia! ” Kiss of Death ” indeed! Carly shares Scarah’s values – this is GREAT NEWS ………for BARBARA BOXER!
Excellent!
I can’t decide if I want her to endorse Marco Rubio for FL senate 2010 or if I’d rather have the new Florida Tea Party run a candidate and SP endorse him/her instead.
Marco Rubio is gaining in popularity, but even he isn’t right enough for some of the folks in North Florida (or South Georgia). And I bet you in a minute that they’d dump the Cuban-American guy if they had a ‘real American’ to campaign and vote for.
Charlie Crist is too moderate for them – I think he’s done fine as Gov. and would make a great Senator, one who takes the job seriously and actually works. And I know he’d work hard at seeing that Florida gets a fair shake in federal legislation. Our interests would be represented, even if I don’t always agree with him on every position.
Oh, and he has NEVER attended an event as Gov. dressed in head to foot with gear supplied by a company his wife gets a sponsorship from.
Marco Rubio is Jeb Bush’s godson, almost literally. Add that to the fact that Rubio’s politics mean he rewards people who reward him, and that mixture is one I do not want to see ‘representing’ Florida in such a high position for 6 years. Marco Rubio is all about getting what he can for himself and his friends. Unfortunately, as a hispanic, Miami-Dade county may support him.
So, back to the question, will she or won’t she endorse Rubio? Hmmmmm ….
What was that phrase that Sarah misquoted from that Starbucks cup?
“There’s a place in Hell reserved for women who don’t support other women.’”
( The actual quote being: ‘There’s a place in Hell reserved for women who don’t help other women.’” M. Albright)
So Help out Carly, won’t ya Sarah?
I wonder how many failed political runs it will take for Repubs to quit seeking SP’s endorsements when everyone she endorses ends up losing? 1? 2? 3?
wow – as a California resident I think I can safely say you do not want to be associated with $P around these parts! Bye, bye Carly…
Well, Carly probably does share Sarah’s values. My money’s on her to quit.
Scarah—Oh please, oh please, oh please support Carly. She’d make a perfect republican candidate. She wasn’t a registered voter for much of her adult life, she helped destroy HP, b*tch slapped Scarah by saying that there was no way Scarah could run HP (but neither could Carly). Of course that got Carly sent to GOP limbo for a time out.
Fiorina is a disaster. She abandoned running for Gov when her webite got blasted as stupid…..CARLYfornia…..
She can’t beat Boxer with or w/o Miss Wasilla’s approval.
What modern business woman would share her values?
Rape kits, Carly?
Assuming the number of aprox 25M far right wing Christians is correct, and that that is Palins main base:
How soon will they be bled white by Sarah, Beck, Rush, Teabagging organizers etc. asking them for money?
Hoffman went into Up State NY with 1.5M to campaign against an opponent with about 75K (and that was the Republican, the Dim had even less).
One Mill here one Mill there, busses to DC every month for a demostration, bussed in demonstators for town halls, t shirts, posters….
Who are their real money backers, not just the mega churches and Palinistas and Ditto heads, but those church’s backers, Beck and Rush’s real backers, the deep pockets guys. And how much money are they willing to spend in the next year to get what thay want?
And how long can they keep it up to keep that 25M incited?
Well, there is one big difference between Carly and Sarah. Carly had to be fired.
A quick mental review of their records leads me to believe Fiorina probably is quite worthy of a Palin endorsement. During the 2008 campaign, and shortly after Palin torpedoed the McCain campaign with her teevee interviews, Fiorina, while appearing on the teevee as a Republican flack, fired her own torpedo at the campaign by declaring McCain unqualified to run a major corporation – not quite the endorsement anyone on his team wanted to hear. (For some reason that was the last of her theretofore frequent appearances on behalf of the campaign.) Besides their twin torpedoes, also, too, Palin admitted openly that her resignation was “for the good of Alaska” – a rare bit of insight from her and a reason to celebrate for Alaskans. Among Fiorina’s other “accomplishments” at H-P, she is well remembered for giving H-P stock an amazing 7% boost in one day – as investors celebrated the announcment of her resignation. I have no idea of the extent to which they share values, but they do have at least one thing in common – the real going-away parties take place after they’re gone.
Carly Fiorina single handedly almost killed HP. I know – the business I worked for sold & supported HP business computers. She took over, the merger w/ Compaq happened, and the product went to crap due to immediate bad decisions on her part. I’m surprised HP survived her, barely – she herself is the kiss of death. What a snot, too – I’m not surprised she thinks Sarah is cute. Carly also thinks she did a great job running the company even though she was fired. Like the comedian says “There is no fix for stupid”.
Boxer is one of my favorite senators – I hope she smears Fiorina!
I wonder if Sarah has forgiven Carly for telling the nation that Palin was not capable of running a corporation (but in fairness she also said McCain was not either). Palin thinks that she can run the world (or at least the US, Canada, Pakistan, India, Iran and Iraq) so I would think that she had probably taken offense at those remarks.
crossing my fingers here in california that palin does endorse fiorina.
we could use a bit of humor in this upcoming election.
It won’t happen(the endorsement). Boxer will mop the floor with Fiorina. Sarah will be very careful with her endorsements after the Hoffman fail, very much like she avoids any media that would ask substantive questions exposing her stupidity.
Let’s not let this particular thing die: “So, Sambo beat the B*tch?” Uttered by our little Princess of Darkness… remember?
So, Fiorina has those same values? Spread the word, people…..
Kiss of death, indeed.
Is Prejean avail. for her endorsement of Fiorina ??
I say we Califonians write letters to the editor with the documented BS of $P and link that to Carly Fiorina’s requested endorsement. Fiorina, pallin’ around with _____ you fill in the blank.
Also, there is an excellent list of contact people in the media compiled by HamletsMill on the Mudflats Forum.
Expose $P AND Fiorina at the same time.
Largo – I agree with your statement:
“Sarah will be very careful with her endorsements after the Hoffman fail, very much like she avoids any media that would ask substantive questions exposing her stupidity.”
Palin will likely endorse candidates ONLY when they are a shoo-in, ala Chambliss. Then she will take credit for their win.
Breaking: Carly seeks endorsements from AIP, KKK, and Teabaggers.
Fiorina is hoping like hell to avoid the Palin kiss-off. She’s really hoping against hope (praying even) that she won’t be Scozzafavaed!
Remember, in SarahWorld, the loss in the NY contest was “a win for conservative values”.
Carly is a quitter also, too. She resigned in disgrace from HP.
Carly Fiorina got about $ 40 million… just to get rid of her from HP.
If Fiorina and S’error share “values,” does that mean both want our country to become the Unemployed States of America?
So she shares Sarah’s values? Ok. She therefore values lying, not doing one’s job, blaming everyone else for any failures, pretending to follow ethical laws, blaming women for being raped, having personal vendettas against former members of her family, thinking that Katie Couric was being “mean” and “condescending” to her by asking her what she reads, and quitting a very prominent public servant job in order to progress her bank account.
Carly, are those the values you were talkin’ about?
You go, girl!!
Well, I think it’ll take a miracle for Fiorina to get Palin’s official “Wink”.
Haven’t seen Palin ever ever ever, kiss a butt that crossed her path.
So many bridges to burn Sarah, is probably loading her cannon for a good public shot across Fiorina’s bow…somehow she’s going to want attention out of this.
Let’s see how desperate Sarah is though, her numbers aren’t exactly spring boarding (waterboarding is more like it)!
Keep the faith mudpuppers, she definitely seems to be shortening her shelf life with her publicity….I love-love the latest Palin John Wooden stories…priceless. Youcan’tmakethisstuffup, Alaska
Let’s see: Carly tried her best to run Hewlett-Packard into the ground. Sarah made a comparable heroic effort to sink Wasilla!
Their other common trait: Traitor McCaine was attracted to them! Carly may have been Mc’s second or third choice.
Third common trait: You can buy books about Carly and Sarah at the Dollar Tree store for slightly more than their true value: $1
The computer I have now is an HP. I wouldn’t have bought it myself; it was a gift. What a piece of $&*^. It doesn’t constantly have problems, it IS a problem. HP hasn’t recovered from CF yet.
I used to live in Silicon Valley. Prior to CF taking over, HP was a great corporate citizen, giving donations to schools for music programs, supporting the community, and paying workers living wages while also providing a good place to work. People there were generally happy. She deep sixed all those things within a few months, all the while downgrading the product line as well. HP may not have been perfect before she arrived, but it sure was a lot closer.
Heckofajob, Carly.
As a vendor to HP during Fiorina’s reign of error, I can honestly say that this is one person who is completely out of touch with the concept that our society is based upon individuals working together by honoring mutually agreed upon promises to achieve common goals.
She polarized HP management to the point that the company was literally tearing itself apart limb by limb while taking absolutely no responsibility for her impact upon people’s lives or the bottom line of the company. Employees and vendors alike were dismissed and “re-deployed” without consult, and the company essentially gutted. Inferior product offerings and poor service destroyed consumer loyalty plans. Product failure rates from Chinese-manufactured goods sky-rocketed.
The ill-advised buy-out of Compaq and the over-production of cheaper-to-make but non-competetive products nearly killed the company in the IT markets. In some sectors HP will never recover. Ever wonder why HP doesn’t compete at handheld devices?
But hey, Dell loved her, she hobbled their two biggest competitors in the PC market and enabled them to have 10 years of dominance during a period when PC sales still had great profit margins.
When she was fired she was in denial still, vitriolic and unrepentant for the damage she had caused.
Remind y’all of anyone?
If you see her, tell her Michael Dell says “Thanks, Carly, two birds one stone!”
I mean it, she will blush and stammer.
Has Sarah Palin ever endorsed another woman running for office?
Also, I recommend the following reading. It is somewhat off topic, but still relevant:

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Sarah doesn’t have to endorse Carly. Carly did it for her and just sealed her own fate.
Bless her heart, Sarah herself is a great big old Elephant Gun, she takes ‘em down with just one shot, er, endorsement.
It’s a wonder they kept her as long as they did. The community couldn’t believe it. Every time something went wrong, we’d say, now she’s gone! But it just kept not happening, and HP went further and further down the toilet.
I know nothing about business, but I guarantee you, I could run a business into the ground as effectively as she did for a nice six figures. Any takers?
Nooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!! That’s my state. Oh, god no!!!
s’arah endorses, NO MEDIA ALLOWED. Except when pimping her family exiting the bus after the trip from the Gulfstream to the book store…
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Say it ain’t so! I have such respect for Carley. I think she is only doing this BECAUSE of some of the far right nut ‘teabaggers’ who have chosen another ‘more acceptable’ (read, male, and far, far right) as their candidate. Should he not win the primary, he’ll run as an indy. Carley may want Palin on board to defray some of that fall out. But I don’t think Palin will go with Carly. She does not side with smart females. Only dumb ones who do p *orn on the side.
$carah will never endorse Carly. She not only does not support Rebiblican women, she actively endorses their male competitors, like Rick Perry & Doug Hoffman. She sure threw republicans Lyda Green & Andree under the bus too. Hates women unless she considers them subservient to her, they worship her and are completely loyal to her every thought.
Who does this sound like?
“The worst thing I could have imagined happened. I lost my job in the most public way possible, and THE PRESS HAD A FIELD DAY WITH IT ALL OVER THE WORLD. And guess what? I’m still here. I am at peace and my soul is intact.”
When Fiorina became CEO of HP, the stock price was $52 per share, and when she left 5 years later it was $21 per share—a loss of over 60%.
HP.s CEO Fiorina launched an intensive hunt for board room leaks to the Wall Street Journal. Fiorina was pissed. The leaks did not show her in a good light at all.
Less than a month later, the board forced Fiorina to resign as chairman and chief executive officer.
Anyone running for office in California that seeks Palin’s endosement is just NUTS.
She got more than twenty million dollars in severance as HP sent her down the road. And she did not take it in stock either.
Yeah, she needs to have Sarah come and give her the “kiss of death”.
Carly Fiorina is a lunatic…. My partner and I used to have our boat next to her and her husbands in Manhattan before she became Ms FAILED Hewlett-Packert CEO…she was a Democrat in those days, most of her friends were GAY>>>(OOOOHHHH) and she had 3 yorkies that she brought everywhere with her. What happened since then is wierd. When they moved to California she severed all relationships with her GAY friends and then the next thing you know she is a wingnut Palinite…..She is as BIG a phoney as the “cuda”!
This morning Sarah Palin quoted the section of this letter calling the President of the United States “son” on her Facebook page:
“I realize you never served in the military and never had to defend your country with your life, but you’re the Commander-in-Chief now, son. Do your job. When your battle-hardened field General asks you for 40,000 more troops to complete the mission, give them to him. But if you’re not in this fight to win, then get out.”
Just who the heck does she think she is by calling the President “son”, his mother? This woman is a complete joke. To me, she is implying that “son” should be replaced with “boy”. My God, such total disrespect for the highest office. I don’t care that she disagrees with the President but to disrespect the highest office by calling the Commander-in Chief “son”
is going way too far and she professes to love the “country”. The only thing she “loves” is “money” and “herself”.
I don’t think this is going to help her with independents, and that is what she will need to win. If you look at the 2008 Calif election results, the Dem areas went for President Obama big, and I was surprised that many of the traditionally red counties were actually close. So either the red counties are being diluted or their core voters are passing/moving away.
First off, Scarah NEVER forgives, lol, no way would she endorse or help
crappy Carly.
The hubby and I are ‘near’ survivors under Carly’s drive HP into the ground. 24 yrs with HP, only to be let go before full benefits at 25, stock price low. I lost respect for HP when they chose her, paid her vulgar amounts of money for years to almost kill the business, then paid her vulgar amounts of money to go away. So many Americans lost their jobs.
Fiorina proved herself doubly stupid by saying she wanted the endorsement. She alienated those who can’t stand SP and they won’t come back when Sarah refuses to endorse her and alienates those who love SP. Take away both those blocs, and there’s not a lot left.
Watching from New Jersey
I wonder if the fact Sarah has a kid in the service makes her feel she is part of the action and is serving. Every time I hear her words on the war it as if she talking like she has some first hand experience. Her approach to war is a 45 year old acting like a 17 year old cheer leader. Win, Win, Win. It not a football game, it’s a war and life. Its all the same to Sarah.
Do you think that when Gen McChrystal ask for 40,000 more troops there may of be a reason that the President took the time to check out the need for request? Gen McChrystal history shows he has not always given all the facts. Generals are like football quarterbacks. There always looking to go to the Supper Bowl. Only Generals look for that grate historical victory.
From Wikipedia;
McChrystal’s unit became well-known for its interrogation methods, particularly at Camp Nama, where it was accused of abusing detainees. After the Abu Ghraib torture and prisoner abuse scandal became public in April 2004, 34 members of the task force were disciplined.
McChrystal was also criticized for his role in the aftermath of the 2004 death by friendly fire of Ranger and former professional football player Pat Tillman. Within a day of Tillman’s death, McChrystal was notified that Tillman was a victim of fratricide. Shortly thereafter, McChrystal was put in charge of paperwork to award Tillman a posthumous Silver Star for valor. On April 28, 2004, six days after Tillman’s death, McChrystal approved a final draft of the Silver Star recommendation and submitted it to the acting Secretary of the Army, even though the medal recommendation deliberately omitted any mention of friendly fire, included the phrase “in the line of devastating enemy fire,” and was accompanied by fabricated witness statements. On April 29, McChrystal sent an urgent memo warning White House speechwriters not to quote the medal recommendation in any statements they wrote for President Bush because it “might cause public embarrassment if the circumstances of Corporal Tillman’s death become public.” McChrystal was one of eight officers recommended for discipline by a subsequent Pentagon investigation but the Army declined to take action against him.
Fiorina single handedly almost managed to destroy HP. Fortunately she got booted out in time to save the company which is now doing well. But she cost many thousand of Americans their jobs during her destructive reign.
