This is one of fly’s absolute best! Love love love the small print. LOL
Apparently they’re not too happy with Sarah-girl in “Real America” Oklahoma either. It’s not good to disappoint your base Sarah. They’ll turn on you in a flash.
I hope someone will have a video recorder at the Gridiron Dinner. I’ve been having a really hard time wrapping my mind around Sarah Palin and humor at the same time. I remember when Stephen Colbert was entertaining the troops in Iraq and she made her little “joke” about Track on the snow machine, the reception was very cool.
Off topic, if one can do that on an open thread, but for those with adopted families, the Quincelettes have got packing boxes down to an art and have discovered a flat-rate large box can be packed with the very heavy stuff so that a box that would cost over $39 to send priority can go for $13 & change. Then the lighter stuff (pasta boxes, etc.) can go into gigantic (and I do mean gigantic) boxes that can ship some 4,000 miles within about 2 weeks for only $20 and change.
Fantastic. All these “Alaska Left Behind” images should find their way into a book of some sort–perhaps as chapter headers.
Sarah is indeed coated in thick Teflon as people have said many times.
She’s considered a good Christian by her fans even after she is caught lying and slandering others who have gotten in her way on her road to wealth and power.
Her faithful cheer her patriotism as she disparages the President and accuses him of being un-American while he works to rebuild this country after 8 years of un-American and un-constitutional policies of the last administration.
The far right chants that she is just like one of them even when she flies on a private luxury jet while banking millions, when she visits crowds of fans who are not allowed to ask her questions or stand on the same side of the barrier, while she is treated more like a royal princess than a regular Joe (or should that be Josephine).
Conservatives love that she is a professional victim of the left and the media because she is an outside the beltway kind of gal. It doesn’t seem to matter to them that she attends exclusive DC dinners and cavorts with the elite media (also in DC) all the while blasting them as the lame street media.
Her fans have adopted the see no evil , hear no evil approach to Palin, but saying evil rhetoric about those who would point to the truth about their savior.
But Teflon doesn’t last forever–too much heat and too much mishandling can destroy it.
I’s enjoy buying some of the Alaska Left Behind images as post or greeting cards. What a great way to get these messages in the hands of millions. (I’m betting the DNC might want a few million).
Open Thread!
Just had to say that when I went in for the MRI and PETscan this week, that the lovely MRI tech said “We’re having a little trouble with the table, it’s making weird noises, but it will be fine.”
Everything went pretty well until 10 minutes from the end, then I heard “oops.”
I was stuck in the MRI machine for 25 minutes while they fixed the table and then finished up.
As Nevelle Longbottom says in “The Chamber of Secrets” “But why is it always me?”
Find out on Wednesday what’s going on. Supposedly. . . Of course, they’ve said that after each of the four biopsies.
Snow today! Not like Alaska though. Maybe 3 inches.
Sarah says questioning President Obama’s birth certificate is “fair.” I agree – it’s a fair question if you’re mentally ill, a moron, or a racist at heart.
When i saw it on the local news (that someone was petitioning their county’s grand jury to indict President Obama), i just groaned and held my head and wondered if i should move to Alaska where at least some of the bloggers are sane.
“Clowns” are appropriate…Anyone seen those few missing IQ points that got away??
So let’s see….beck said sister and clown would not work but clown and sister might…wonder what he would say should be the order here…. sister and loon or loon and sister..I know it’s a debate for the ages but I rather take my bathroom break now…..
This is one of the best, I have seen so far. I was feeling so low and disgusted with the whole drama of Sarah Palin book signing, and all the bashing of the President on wars, but this made me laugh…..
Flyinureye are the best.
The wink and the fine print…Priceless
AKM…Can I borrow this picture. It will make me smile all weekend…Please
” Palin, though notoriously ill-travelled outside the United States, did journey far to the first of the four colleges she attended, in Hawaii. She and a friend who went with her lasted only one semester. “Hawaii was a little too perfect,” Palin writes. “Perpetual sunshine isn’t necessarily conducive to serious academics for eighteen-year-old Alaska girls.” Perhaps not. But Palin’s father, Chuck Heath, gave a different account to Conroy and Walshe. According to him, the presence of so many Asians and Pacific Islanders made her uncomfortable: “They were a minority type thing and it wasn’t glamorous, so she came home.”
Be sure to click on the link for the New Yorker article
So many high ranking Republicans and conservatives have said that Palin is qualified to be President. How many of those same people would like to play second fiddle to as her VP? VP McCain, O’Reilly, Rush? I’d love to hear these buffoons say that she is smarter and more knowledgeable about domestic and foreign affairs than they are and a much better leader than they could ever be.
Big props to the Mudflats Art Dept, Flyinureye, Again!!
I sure wish I knew how to do photo-shopping because S’error and her friends provide so much good material. I wouldn’t be able to come up with nearly the great material Fly always does though.
Mad genius at work…. and I mean that in a ‘ GOOD ‘ way.
We have to use our imagination a little bit to believe that is really S’error though.
The REAL S’error would have been using that free hand to hold up the prop-baby…. or a copy of her ” Ghostwriters” book.
Imagine…If she surgically attached some industrial strength velcro to that free hand She could interchange the 2 props quickly and easily….. and probably be able to wave with the hand at the same time. Duct tape might also work. We know those Wasillans are Fans of duct tape usage….. also, too.
FYI, there were a couple of copies of “Going Rouge” in the bookstore in Juneau last night, displayed side by side with “Going Rogue”. I didn’t even know it was available in stores, but there they were.
Fly – fabulous work, as always! The “Alice in Wonderland” theme for S’error and the wingnuts is one of my very favorites. It’s so well suited.
Newfoundland DR @17 – yikes!! They would have had to sedate me if they got me stuck in the MRI tube! I sure do hope that this week you’ll finally have some answers about this ordeal. We’ll be thinking of you !
Reminder to everyone – if you click on http://www.twitter.com/PalinTruthWatch you’ll find a number of good Palin links as well as links to articles about the extreme right. There’s also a link on the top / right of the page for the Palin Digest site.
I was just reading Phil Mungers post just now and am trying to schedule my Saturday night.
Will Shannyn be on the radio tonight…? ( anybody know?)
The Muckrakers Ball is at 7:00 pm with Shannyn as emcee. That would be right after her Show ends… normally. I would think the Ball might take priority though. Otherwise Shannyn will need a carriage and a fast driver to get her to the Ball on time.
Maybe someone can fill us in.
And I thought I remembered a comment on a thread about live-blogging from the Ball this evening. Any truth to that.
Shannyn will be on the radio, and make a quick drive to the Muckraker’s Ball. I didn’t hear anything about live blogging from the event. AKM
An awesome thing to have would be a copy of ‘Going Rouge’ autographed by AKM (think of the fund-raising capabilities if it was autographed by ALL the authors!)
Wow, there are so many great observations here that make ya think. But the one that stands out in my mind was that of Buffalo Gal at 7:01am with Palin’s father admitting his daughter was “uncomfortable” over in Hawaii in the presence of so many Asians and Pacific Islanders.
“They were a minority type thing and it wasn’t glamorous, so she came home,” he said.
My gawd, who’d athought that going to Hawaii would put ya smack-dab in the middle of so many Asians and Pacific Islanders…Da*n minorities, anyway…
Maybe, in actuality, Palin herself was the minority over there, perhaps, and just couldn’t deal with THAT.
So Sarah and Michelle are hosting the Tea Party Convention, with:
Sarah Palin, in the dual roles of the White Rabbit and Red Queen
Michelle Bachman, as the Mad Hatter
Mike Huckabee, as the Dodo
Newt Gingrich, as the Hookah Smoking Caterpillar
Dick Armey, as the Walrus
John Boehner and Micth McConnell, as Tweedledum and Tweedledee
Dick Cheney: the Cheshire Cat
And featuring Olympia Snowe as Alice
One other thing that I return to, over and over again —
Not that it has anything to do with “logic”, but would the birther nuts possibly acknowledge that the president’s mom was, herself, born in Kansas?
Is that disputed anywhere by the nutjobs?
It follows then, if they can accept that initial point — if ANY American woman gives birth ANYWHERE in the world, doesn’t that make her child an American, by virtue of the fact that she, the mom, is an American?
So, if Laura Bush had given birth to her twin daughters in Indonesia, or Russia, etc., her girls would still be Americans…right?
So the whole Hawaii/Indonesia thing is a mute point, right?
Elsie…Indeed. In fact, John McCain was not born in the US but on a US military base in Panama (giving him the status of a diplomatic baby). Sadly, the big reason that many like to believe that Obama was not born in Hawaii has to do with race and the birthplace of his father.
Yes, OMG, I see the racism argument being used against the father, but why can you not squash the whole argument against Obama’s nationality by reiterating that AS LONG AS THE MOTHER IS AN AMERICAN, THEN HER CHILD IS AN AMERICAN, regardless of where on the planet the birth occurs?
Even an old-fashioned “test-tube” baby, with only a donor sperm, would be regarded as having the same country of origin as that of his/her mom’s…
So the whole birther argument, which is too darn stupid to begin with, ignores the mom’s nationality in this idiocy. And the mom’s birthplace is directly related to the child’s, if the mom is an American herself.
You’ll find me at the nearest wall, banging my head for the next few minutes.
I seem to be coming in here a lot lately, sounding snarky, which I don’t mean to do. But…I believe the Constitution states that a candidate for President must be “native born”, or something similar. Not just an American citizen, or born of one, but actually born in the United States or a US territory. I assume this is how McCain qualified. He was not born in Panama, but in the Canal Zone, a US territory at the time. Possibly being born on a US military base anywhere would also qualify. So, just the fact that President Obama;s mother was an American citizen in itself wouldn’t cut it. But the fact he was born in Hawaii does. End of story!
Good tip on shipping! One of my bigger boxes was a carton of diapers, which wouldn’t begin to fit into the large flat rate. I was able to squish the diapers a little tighter and add a few more items, then wrapped it in brown paper and it went parcel post. The cost was just under $15, but had it gone priority rate, it would have been $32.
Another tip is to eliminate as much of the excess packaging as possible. I got rid of the box the tea bags were in and simply put them into a zip-lock bag. Same with a toy set – dismantled it and then one won’t have to worry about discarding all those little clips and wires that filled the box.
Anyone with tips for saving on shipping and getting the most to our families, clue us in. I want them to get the most “bang for my bucks”. I know, I know……I’ve been watching too much HG-TV.
London Bridges @13 – I think I read somewhere that Palin is/was a fan of Van Halen – rock star I think?
Newfoundland Dogs Rule – We’ll keep our fingers and toes crossed, and keep you in our prayers, that your test results are good, and so sorry you got stuck in that machine – it had to have been uncomfortable!
I noticed that the Toad got down off the roof and showed up at Fort Hood and was actually sitting right beside his wife – whooeee!
The Constitution is clear that the President must be born on actual American soil. That’s why McCain (born on the base in Panama) had to get an opinion. Same thing would have happened for POTUS if he was a few years older and had been born before Hawaii had become a state. Wonder if any previous President’s or candidates were born in territories before statehood?
Elsie…I have no idea. The fact remains that he was born on US soil in the State of Hawaii. His birth certificate has been produced and examined by officials and has been declared legal. He is a naturally born US citizen and as such has rights under the laws of the country to serve as our President. In fact, he was issued a US passport as a child where his mother produced his birth certificate for the US authorities as proof of birth. There is no question that he is legally eligible to serve as the President of the United States.
Funny thing is that these same birthers didn’t cry foul when Louisiana Gov. Bobby “right to life” Jindal was being pushed by the GOP to run for President even though both of his parents were born in India. He too is legally eligible to run for President because even though both parents were not born here, he was born in the US.
There should be no controversy on this issue and Palin is disgusting for playing along with the nutcases of her ilk. The birthers are showing their true colors and color has a lot to do with their disgusting display.
Last thought of the birther insanity: Six presidents prior to Obama (born in the US) had at least one foreign born parent:
Only six other U.S. presidents had a foreign-born parent. Mr. Obama will be the first in nearly ninety years, since President Herbert Hoover was inaugurated in 1929.
Andrew Jackson (1829-1837) is the only president born of two immigrants, both Irish. Presidents with one immigrant parent are Thomas Jefferson (1801-1809), whose mother was born in England, James Buchanan (1857-1861) and Chester Arthur (1881-1885), both of whom had Irish fathers, and Woodrow Wilson (1913-1921) and Herbert Hoover (1929-1933), whose mothers were born respectively in England and Canada.
Dang on that born-on-American-soil thing. I forgot about that. When I studied civics, the dinosaurs had just died. And, I’ve slept since then. I’ll just accept the fact that there is no simple way to argue Obama’s citizenship with anyone who disputes it.
http://www.democracyforamerica.com/activities/258-enough-is-enough is the link to sign a petition that we’ve compromised enough on health care reform; that a strong public option must be part of the final legislation. Please add your name and make a comment. My rep in Congress was one of the co-sponsors of single payer. Enough is enough!
Health and peace, good weekend! Perhaps I’ll see some of you in chat later.
I looked at the pictures of her campaign, I mean BOOK, tour stop at Fort Hood (which puts my knickers in a knot to begin with!). I managed to quell the building nausea long enough to get through all the pictures. However, this photo caption caught my eye:
“Sarah Palin is touring the country in an RV with her husband, Todd.”
Huh???
I didn’t realize that a Gulfstream jet was considered an ‘RV’. And, I thought that Todd was ‘on the roof’ for most of this tour. She even lies about things that are thoroughly documented in photos, video and news reports!
If you’ll all forgive a lawyerly diversion, the “natural born” citizen issue is clear-cut as to the sitting President, given that he was born in Hawaii when it was a state.
Even the gray areas in constitutional law really are not gray as to President Obama. Plain old “citizenship” under the 14th Amendment of course can be a status aquired in a variety of ways. The Constitution’s distinct requirement that a President be a “natural born” citizen has not come up a great deal in federal jurisdprudence. Title 8 of the United States Code, however, clarifies that there is a multiplicity of ways in which one would be considered a citizen from birth/”natural born.”
In addition to being born in the United States and subject to its jurisdiction, for example, one could be born outside the United States if either or both parents are U.S. citizens and one has lived in the United States, or so long as one parent is a citizen is a citizen who resided in the United States for at least one year and the other is a U.S. national; under certain circumstances (i.e., if one parent is a citizen who resided in the United States for at least a year), if one is born in a United States possession; and any child under the age of five whose place of birth is unknown but is found in the United States, so long as proof of the child’s non-citizenship is not provided by the time he/she reaches majority age; and if one parent has no U.S. citizenship status, so long as the other parent is a U.S. citizen who resided there for at least five years.
Probably once again more than anyone wanted to read.
P.S. I once had a professor who memorably asked our class whether the founders would have contemplated a President born by C-section as “natural born.” Having subsequently had four C-sections, it sure didn’t seem like natural birth to me.
“Democrats took on a pair of Republican senators Friday, signing on to an amendment that would make lawmakers join the public option.
On Thursday, thinking Democratic senators would balk at the idea, Sens. David Vitter (R-La.) and Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) introduced the gimmick health-care amendment.
But Democrats called their bluff, and the Republicans wouldn’t allow it. When Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) tried to become a co-sponsor of the amendment, he got the cold shoulder.
So Brown, joined by Sens. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.), Barbara A. Mikulski (D-Md.), and Al Franken (D-Minn.), forced his way onto the amendment with a unanimous consent vote.
God, I love Franken. He makes me so proud. And I’m never even been to Minnesota.
I was just reading some of the comments under the Bree Palin story. The story was about two ‘ boots on the ground ‘ people ( Virginia Voter & Mrs. TTB ) attending the Virginia Palin book signing and their protest there.
S’error’- ‘ the Private citizen ‘ and Staff decided to censor the Publics opinion and force them to protest at the back of the parking lot. It seems to have failed in some respect in that it may have created even more attention by putting them wayyyyyyyyy back there. ( Ooops) They said they were interviewed by 4 different news Organizations and one of them being Associated Press. Sounds like one of those S’error and Meg Plans. They create even MORE publicity and attention by their reaction to it. ” Iconic image ” and all…. that will go down in the history books of all time.
The weather was horrible there and it sounds like they will supply more details later with an Update. ( Press questions to them.. etc ) Great ‘ boots on the ground ‘ effort and taking one for the Team.
BHT (@32)–REALLY? Which bookstore? I missed it last night I guess…
GreatGranny2C–yeah, they’d apparently always though it would be funny to name a kid Van Palin in “tribute” to the big hair, heavy metal, rock band of the 80s Van Halen… blech, poor kid.
Make sure you read the National Review article as it trashes the whole birther conspiracy (although it does take unjustified shots about Obama’s policies at the end).
OK. The UK Sunday Telegraph is reporting today that SP has this advice for the US:
She said the United States has been “touched by God” because the nation’s early leaders dedicated the country to God.
Mrs Palin said: “If we could get back to that, that humbleness, with that kind of contrite spirit, I think that we would be able to be provided more of the answers to so many of the great challenges that we’re facing.
“And these are huge challenges, whether we’re talking about health care, whether we’re talking about energy independence, whether we’re talking about national security measures.”
Inquiring minds want to know: how did the contrite and humble Sarah provide Alaska with solutions to its problems?
As per my earlier comment about Shannyn and her radio Show today.
Does anyone know if she will do Her show and then go directly over to the Muckrakers Ball with AKM and be the Emcee? Anybody know. Will Shannyn be on the air?
it is cold, gloomy, and wet in N Y today and i got a wonky tooth. not fit for company but austintx made me get up and see FLY’s genius at work. so glad i did. beautiful job FLY. as per usual…..love you pups…
Ripley!!! where the shrimp. check your emails. sent you my address….huggs
I’m surprised no one has gotten DNA from Trig and done tests. Easy enough to test and get samples from trash can, diapers, etc. There is no way that is her kid and proof of it would be a big monkey wrench in her political prowess.
“D*rn minorities, anyway.” Not to put too fine of a point on it, “they” are not minorities; actually, “they” are part of “us.” I suppose that, to Sarah, a minority is any one who is not very similar to her. That leaves a lot of minority folk in this world!
Apparently. Sarah didn’t get around much. If you travel the world at all, most of which is colored in some hue, you find that the great preponderance of people that you meet are likable and you hope that they will like you. Guess what? It usually works out that way! Once you meet the people, it’s harder to hate the race. Frito-Lay (paraphrased) came closest to a formula for world peace and tolerance – “Bet you can’t hate just ONE!” Think of it! They were just trying to sell potato chips!
If Sarah sees this cartoon, and I think she or her staff will, someone will have to explain to her that IQ refers to “Intelligence Quotient” and not to “I Quit!”
Thanks for the Huffpo link. I watched the video of Franken requesting to co-sponsor the ammendment. The more I see of him, the more I like him!
It seems to me that a few of the legislators with spines, like Franken, Brown and Rep. Anthony Weiner, are beginning to inspire the others to get a little more in-your-face with their Republican colleagues.
I just read that Franken’s two kids went to Harvard (where he attended) and Princeton. Apparently there’s no shortage of prime, Grade-A brain matter in that family!
In order to be eligible to be president, you must be a natural born citizen. This requirement is met if you are born on US soil. It is also met if one of your parents is a citizen who lived within the US for at least 5 years. Obama’s mother meets this last criteria. Hawaii meets the first. Obama could have been born anywhere in the world because his mom is a US citizen who lived within the US for at least 5 years.
Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Monroe, JQ Adams are just some of the presidents that were not born on US soil. They became citizens when the United States came into being. So, yes, we’ve had several presidents that weren’t born on US soil!
yeah ripley, please duck tape shrimp. injuneau says you got to blow up shrimp. then you got to put fat shrimp in bathtub filled with water {to see where the hole} is then ducktape shrimp.
i have to stop. i can just see your face. bubs
Seriously? they’re keeping the book from Mom? and Mom doesn’t know how to get her own book? a lame story, true, or pure BS? Chuck said he got his, what the heck, is not his also Sally’s? is Chuck more special? or more demanding. Did Scarah give her daddy preference? with his special signed copy? what is going on? Maybe it’s just me, but I find this WEIRD.
Scarah blew it by abandoning booing fans with unsigned books after they’d stood in line for umpteen hours overnight in cold rain and gotten wrist bands promising them a signed book. She broke her promise. It created a near disaster for her book tour, on what, the first or second day? lol Her parents arrived via a separate charter jet shortly thereafter. Daddy to the rescue.
Last night was the first time I heard she had hand cramps and “that” is why she dashed off, in her bus, with no apologies or explanation, leaving her fans breathing diesel fumes while crying “sign my book”.
Gosh, she’s slipping, what happened to nipping bad rumors in the bud, puttin bad news to rest. Scarah, where’s Meg when ya need her? have you left her out in the cold, behind in AK? were you mad at her, is she now mad at you, are you two on the outs? Did you dare throw Meg under the bus?
“Sally Heath, 69, said it was the first opportunity she had had to see much of the continental U.S.
She said her daughter had broached the idea of her parents joining the book tour just before the first stop last month in Grand Rapids, Mich.
“It’s probably too much for us. I don’t know how long we can keep going,” she said half-jokingly of the tour schedule.”
She admitted she had not yet read her daughter’s book but said she intended to.
“Nobody’s even given me a copy to read on the bus,” she said, laughing.”
****************
And then there is this…….tsk, tsk, bad Scarah, BAD. You really should get over your media paranoia. Come on, you can do it, with God all things are possible. Your acting like a whimpy, whiny scared baby, not a brave Christian, where is your faith.
I think it’s becoming a mental block or a phobia with her, lol. And I bet all the McCain campaign staffers are laughing their asses off, waiting for her to combust or melt, knowing it’s just a matter of time.
“Organizers had set up a small stage and microphone outside the store. But Palin made no remarks. Media access was restricted. Reporters were not allowed to ask questions and were kept away from the desk where she was signing books.”
***********************************
AND, there is also this, oh how quaint, Scarah came up with the bright idea, all by her lonesome, I’m sure (ha), to have a book tour stop in her birth town of Sandpoint, Idaho. A back to roots road trip. Well, hmmm, this could get interesting eh? Dec. 10th., a 3 hr book signing, 6-9 pm
Here’s a good comment on Sarah Palin that I just read:
President Palin decides to send 200,000 more troops into Afghanistan. But unable to find it on a map, she mistakenly sends them to Argentina. When the liberal elite media run the story of her blunder, she responds, “You know, Joe Sixpack doesn’t know where Afghanistan is. You east coast media types need to stop obsessing over geometry. Smaller government is what we need to get government off our backs. Tax cuts for small businesses so they can put more money on the table. We’re a strong nation and we will win the war on drugs that started in Afghanistan. And when the fish swim, the turkey is done.” With that she flies back to Alaska to give birth to her grandson, Algebra.
Marcus, You have that fraud down to a “T”!! I am laughing so hard that my husband is looking at me like I have lost it! It’s ok, because I will explain it to him later. Again Marcus, you have epitomized the ex-governor. Yea!!
When the Mad Hatter is the only sane person in the picture, you know you’re in trouble!
The lunatics run the asylum in $carahWorld.
Oy
I’d say it’s a toss-up between the small print and the wink.
Shame on you! I just ended up spitting hot tea all over my keyboard!
This is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen.
Gack ! Sarah in Texas. Go to statesman.com/multimedia. I’m on my BlackBerry. Do not know how to link. Sorry.
This is one of fly’s absolute best! Love love love the small print. LOL
Apparently they’re not too happy with Sarah-girl in “Real America” Oklahoma either. It’s not good to disappoint your base Sarah. They’ll turn on you in a flash.

In the business trades, I believe it is called “the fine print.”
Bernanke wants to eliminate Social Security & Medicare. This guy should be fired A.S.A.P. !! And exiled to Dubai.

Off topic, if one can do that on an open thread, but for those with adopted families, the Quincelettes have got packing boxes down to an art and have discovered a flat-rate large box can be packed with the very heavy stuff so that a box that would cost over $39 to send priority can go for $13 & change. Also, too, Flyinureye is a genius!
Fantastic. All these “Alaska Left Behind” images should find their way into a book of some sort–perhaps as chapter headers.

But Teflon doesn’t last forever–too much heat and too much mishandling can destroy it.
Trig Paxton Van Palin for President of the United States in 2044!
On another note: Is Trig named after Thomas Van Flein? Perhaps as a blood relative of Trig? Hmmm!

oops…that was meant to be “I’d”

Just had to say that when I went in for the MRI and PETscan this week, that the lovely MRI tech said “We’re having a little trouble with the table, it’s making weird noises, but it will be fine.”

The wink and the fine print…Priceless
AKM…Can I borrow this picture. It will make me smile all weekend…Please
Will there be a Palin/Bachmann fight over the teabagger’s crown?
Is this okay in the Military? it seems off, unacceptable and flat out weird to me.

oop, meant to say great pic Fly! Scarah’s not going to appreciate the little boobs, lol, thanks.
Palin and the unsavory “minority type thing”
http://bit.ly/4RI7u6
I believe tonight is AKM night to be honored at the Muckrakers Ball!!! Yay!
It’s also the Gridiron Dinner – for the press, but “off the record” Sarah Palin & Barney Frank will be the speakers. Tomorrow will be interesting……..
When a right wing nut cries liberal an angel gets their wings.
There’s also a link on the top / right of the page for the Palin Digest site.
smart people say stupid things. Isn’t Michelle B a lawyer?
P.S. Has anyone broke the news to Palin that she is not VP…
Come on already Republicans
Just a thought….
“Clean cup, move down! move down!”
So says the Mad Hatter. It sort of reminds me of the Senate!
Elise, that’s exactly how I read the quote.
My brain hurts. I’m going to rest it awhile.
Oops, thanks, Seagull Junker. Logic and reason escape me anymore. I’ll go read the whole article now before trying to figure anything else out.
Too funny. I’m glad there’s some humor in that scary idea. Breathtaking…
flyinureye, YOU DA GANGSTA!!!
Elise – impossible to figure out PalinHeathenese anyway any how!
Elsie…Indeed. In fact, John McCain was not born in the US but on a US military base in Panama (giving him the status of a diplomatic baby). Sadly, the big reason that many like to believe that Obama was not born in Hawaii has to do with race and the birthplace of his father.
Sorry about the Seagullese – Elsie not Elise!!!
Ha…….damage control alert………she had to stop signing books in Indiana because of ‘hand cramping’ awe poor Scarah.
I call liar BS! lol……
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5r_NBcrp6c
at the 1:50 mark

Since this is an open thread, here’s something that might put a smile on your face at http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/11/18/hospital-gets-down-in-pin_n_362403.html
It promotes breast cancer awareness through a “pink glove dance” that’s gone viral on youtube! Really sweet to watch.
P.S. I once had a professor who memorably asked our class whether the founders would have contemplated a President born by C-section as “natural born.” Having subsequently had four C-sections, it sure didn’t seem like natural birth to me.
check this out:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/12/04/vitter-coburn-public-opti_n_380933.html
That’s it! If minorities are taking over Hawaii now, well dang, I’m just gonna have to move to China, where they appreciate white folks! Wink ;-0
HAHAHAHA!!!!! Just noticed “T’ea”… the apostrophe from hell is back!! LOL
R’ipley – what happened to yours? It always makes me laugh!
Barry Goldwater was born in Arizona while it was still a territory, and it was decided at the time that he would be “native born.”
Great read on Andrew Sullivan:
http://andrewsullivan.theatlantic.com/the_daily_dish/2009/12/palin-birtherism-and-national-review.html
Make sure you read the National Review article as it trashes the whole birther conspiracy (although it does take unjustified shots about Obama’s policies at the end).
When anyone gets into the debate of native born, his mother’s or father’s nationality etc., I just say GAK!
President Obama was born in Hawaii, there is a birth certificate. Factcheck.org saw it, touched it and smelled it.
No further debate needed.
GAK
InJuneau #65: “REALLY? Which bookstore? I missed it last night I guess…”
Hearthside, downtown, right inside the door. There were two copies at about 5:00, but only one visible at about 6:30…
Oh man, if it was there when I was there, I walked right by it! I’ll have to go back and check…
OMG @ # 53:
You are correct, but allow me to amend your closing statement:
Color has EVERYTHING to do with their disgusting display !
I want to know we we never see any pics or videos of Chuck Heath carrying Trig?????
it is cold, gloomy, and wet in N Y today and i got a wonky tooth. not fit for company but austintx made me get up and see FLY’s genius at work. so glad i did. beautiful job FLY. as per usual…..love you pups…
Ripley!!! where the shrimp. check your emails. sent you my address….huggs
I’m surprised no one has gotten DNA from Trig and done tests. Easy enough to test and get samples from trash can, diapers, etc. There is no way that is her kid and proof of it would be a big monkey wrench in her political prowess.
Just for you, Seagull. You’re one of the last holdouts for the Palin baby name, so I must simply defer to your will.
Bubs, got it. Just need to get it packed up and sent… I promise, I’ll get it done tomorrow and out on Monday.
*scribbling a post-it note for myself*
Re #38 Elsie
Thanks R’ip!!!
bubbles , glad you got movin’….
Rip , the ransom has long been paid. Get the shrimp back to it’s home.
mlaiuppa @61 -
Thanks for the Huffpo link.
Apparently there’s no shortage of prime, Grade-A brain matter in that family!
austintx!!! You’re around (just as I need to get of the ‘puter and home to shower before a memorial service…). Good to see you.
And R’ipley–did you patch the shrimp with duct tape?
GAK
yeah ripley, please duck tape shrimp. injuneau says you got to blow up shrimp. then you got to put fat shrimp in bathtub filled with water {to see where the hole} is then ducktape shrimp.
i have to stop. i can just see your face. bubs
Don’t want to demonize SP, Just want to “truthalize her !
goldwater was born in AZ before it was a state ( 1912 ) .
Seriously? they’re keeping the book from Mom? and Mom doesn’t know how to get her own book? a lame story, true, or pure BS?
Did you dare throw Meg under the bus?
http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/news/politics/national/stories/DN-palinplano_05met.ART.State.Edition2.4c0b20b.html
Yea!!
Her mother hasn’t been given a copy of the book to read?
My god.
Maybe because she would spot a few of the lies?
Or, Lily # 93, perhaps it is because she’s like her daughter: reads everything yet nothing cuz she’s semi-illiterate?
Whatever happened to Meg Stapleton? We don’t hear from her anymore.
