Quyana (Thank You) from Ann Strongheart!

Wow there are so many things to be thankful this holiday season especially in the Strongheart home! This past year the support, caring and generosity that everyone here at the Flats and on Anonymous Bloggers have given us has been overwhelming.
From the hundreds of flat rate boxes full of food that were sent to Nunam Iqua to the thousands of dollars that were sent to help buy heating fuel. From the messages of concern and support during the spring flooding to the well wishes when we headed to Ugashik for the fishing season. From the comments on our days spent fishing to the hundreds of messages of support when Segundo passed. The hundreds of candles that were lit in his memory and the sharing of food with Segundo for his 40 day feast. The support and understanding when I was waiting to have Glenna to the 134 pages of chatting that occurred when I was in labor. The messages and comments sent to us via not only Mudflats and Anonymous Bloggers but also with generous donations to the Strongheart Memorial Fund.
I could go on and on and on!! The out pouring of love and support here and at AB has just been immense. Nearly every Tuesday and Friday the mail plane brings in a box or two or more for Glenna, CC and I. These boxes are filled with presents and well wishes and treats for all three of us Strongheart girls. The picture below has just a few of the many gifts we have received. (Sorry about the picture quality, I guess I need to take lessons from AKM 
)
Just last Friday I received a box from Anchorage . I immediately knew it was from AKM but boy was I ever surprised when I opened the box and realized it as from one of The Mudflats quilters!! Below you can see the quilt for GG and even one for CC. Quyana Cakneq Quince!!

I think y’all will agree that they are beautiful. Plus they are obviously filled with lots of love and caring because each one was HAND quilted!! This to me is amazing b/c I do not have the patience to do that!! Quyana Cakneq Quince they will be much loved and cherished!!

Not only have y’all been sending goodies to Ugashik for Glenna and Cecelia but also with your help and help on Anonymous Bloggers I have been able to get 27 out of the 29 needy households in Nunam Iqua adopted for the winter!! Boxes filled with food and supplies have been flying out of post offices from across not only Alaska but also the lower 48 and Canada on their way to the needy families in Nunam.
Thanks to wonderful people like all of you Mudpups and Anonymous Bloggers the families in Nunam Iqua are getting a little help this holiday season.

Awhhhh….your words and photographs brought tears to my eyes Ann. Your girls are simply adorable ~ and to me GG looks just like her daddy.

But, my sweet Ann and your dear girls, my warm hugs and love to you. The Strongheart Girls! Teach them like ya know it Ann, and thank you for being you, a real, willing, caring, loving and honest human being. Your hubby saw your gift of true heart and loved you for it. Segundo, you chose well and you did well, thank you.

I agree with #4, GG looks like her dad to me. What darling little girls! You three live up to your name. Somewhere Segundo is watching over you and I’m sure, he is very proud.

Beautiful, beautiful…babies. He’s watching and adoring. Be strong, continue to be a voice and your babies will grow to beautiful strong adults. Just like those that watch and guide them.

I echo the sentiments of previous comments…beautiful babies. CC looks like she’s a natural at the ‘big sister’ thing! They both have an amazing mother and shining legacy from their father.
