Enjoying the 12 days of the lying-gates of the revealing gift-giving Ms. Palin. Nobody could make up this stuff. The unraveling tales of this tawdry hypocrite ex-governor is unbelievable. Who is the Mordecai in Sarah’s retelling of Queen Esther?

Oh dear. When the twelve days are up, and Palin falls in the forest with no one around, will I care?

    Nope.

I’m gonna wash that twit right oughta my hair!

As the twelve days of Christmas winds down, tonight I ordered a copy of both Going Rouge and the Going Rouge coloring book. I know my mom will get a big kick out of both books.

    Liar, liar, pants on fire!
Where there’s fire, we find the liar!

Some thought fire would set you straight
You’d stop tellin’ lies and spreadin’ hate

We tried to tell them you’ll never see
The flames lickin’ up round your knee!

    Sarah, Sarah, please don’t stop
Your fire is making our popcorn pop!

For the longest time, knowing the way Sarah operates, I had thought that Todd may not necessarily be Track’s father, but that Sarah, finding herself pregnant and unwed, tricked Todd into marrying her while she was with child. The alleged elopement never made any real world sense. Sarah World, maybe. Palingates has a possible father. Given Sarah’s twisted moral values there was no way she was going to have on an out of wedlock child. Was Curtis Menard already married at that time? Was the plane crash suspicious? Investigated?

    OMG Says:

I have been enjoying Palin free news lately, hoping that the MSM has wised up about covering her FB postings and Tweets. Alas, CNN (or more correctly SNN–Sarah News Network) is running a story “Palin Continues To Blast Climate Change Believers”. I did not click on the story because I don’t want to give SNN the impression that I care what this no-nothing woman has to say–because I don’t. Besides, I already know what she and her ilk are squawking about.

When it comes to science, I do not want to listen to politicians (especially those like Palin who pander to their base and have nothing substantial to offer to the debate). I want instead to hear from people who know what they’re talking about–you know, like scientists. This is too important an issue.

But I guess the Washington Post and SNN are more interested in ratings than reporting on factual information. They seem to rejoice in clicks and circulation provided by tabloid personalities rather than having the journalistic integrity to cover the real news of the day–after all, their audience seems more interested in the sensational rather than the bland reality of facts.

What a wonderful picture! I saw the giant Pandas at our National Zoo in Washington, DC a few years ago. They are fabulous. As is the entire zoo. I recommend that everyone should visit it if they can.

Is Denver ready for a close encounter?

If approved, the city panel would promote “harmonious, peaceful, mutually respectful and beneficial coexistence” between earthlings and extraterrestrials, in part by developing protocols for “diplomatic contact.”

    Nazca Lines, Peru:

Ancient religion? Aliens from outer space? Ancient astronomers? A megalomaniac artist? Water sources?
Other theories, such as Erich von Daniken who argued in “Chariots of the Gods?” that they are the remains of a giant extraterrestrial airport, brought a flurry of students of the paranormal to the area. They came in such numbers that they threatened the lines and the area was made off-limits. Dr. Reiche had guards posted to make sure no further damage was done to the lines. Though they have survived 2000 years of wind and occasional rain, the lines on the desert floor cannot withstand pedestrians, horses and vehicles. The Nazca Lines are now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most popular tourist destinations in Peru.

I never fail to get a chuckle when I click on your photo links! I DO often wonder just where you find all these things… :)

I was lucky enough to visit Beijing in 1988 and see the pandas in the zoo. Unfortunately, there was a horrendous dust storm that day (locals walking around wearing dust masks kind of bad) and the pandas were black and brown, not black and white. Still utterly adorable, however!

Austintx @10 – I might be sharing a little more than I should but I happen to fall in to that particular group of kooks. I may not be as extreme as some but I absolutely think something is going on. I have to say I’m really surprised this guy in CO has gotten as far as he has with this thing.

And I’m not sure what to make of the Nazca Lines but they sure are amazing. You can’t help but wonder about them . I don’t for a minute believe things are as flat and dull as our text books and conventional learning would have us believe. Mysteries abound, I say !

    honestyinGov Says:

For those of you browsing the other ‘ tubes ‘ last night I could not escape S’error.
She was mentioned everywhere. HBO Robin Williams Show, Wanda Sykes and then on Weekend Update on SNL. She was EVERYWHERE!!!

Robin Williams mentioned in his show special that she was comedy gold. In just one of his many quotes he (referring to comedy )called her a
    ” self opening pinata “.

On Wanda she was mentioned numerous times… can’t remember them all.
In her ‘ misunderstood segment’ The visorgate was mentioned as well as the comment on her T-shirt. Wanda ( sarcasm wise-jokewise ) said it was a simple misunderstanding. The T-Shirt was given to her as a gift from a Native American Indian…..See… hence the ” get out of my country ” idea applied. Not Sarah’s fault.

On SNL’s Weekend Update Seth brings up visorgate as well. He explains it this way… as far as WHY only half of the name on the visor was blacked out.
She QUIT halfway through the job…. OUCH!!

Nobody seemed to be talking about HER for her ‘ ideas and opinion ‘.
Comedians love her though. She’s great for the B 00 B Tube.
You can search the net or maybe Gryphen may be able to dig up some of these Comedy segments and post them later.
Sarah’s famous quote to Charlie Gibson may be the ONLY true statement she has ever made…. ” It’s all about job creation…”…….for Comedians.

Since ‘ Meg the Mouth ‘ has been completely silent lately and no one has seen her, the rumor was she has ALSO been thrown under the bus.

I havn’t done any investigation yet….but was curious as to whether or not she is still listed on the SarahPAC website. ( scratching my head )
Has her name been removed from it or is still there…? Does someone know?
It’s not like they would advertise this change and redwood palinizers comment above got me thinking about WHAT is listed or posted on S’errors webpages.
Are there any other SarahPAC pages or web documents to look at to confirm whether or not a change has been made. I saw on another blog that S’errors first hand gal with the Book Tour was another woman. Hmmm…?

For those readers who do not like clicking on links or who do not want visit the davispalin website (see redwood’s post @ 17, above), here is what it states:

Todd Palin is a retired production operator for BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc. in the North Slope oil fields. He and his wife, former Alaska Governor and U.S. Vice Presidential candidate (2008) Sarah Palin, are both life-long Alaskans and live in Wasilla.

Todd enjoys commercial fishing in Bristol Bay, flying his single engine aircraft, snow machining and spending time with his family at their cabin on Safari Lake near Petersville, Alaska.

Todd and Sarah have five children, Track, Bristol, Willow, Piper and Trig. The eldest, Track, is currently serving in the U.S. Army and in September 2009, he returned from a one year tour in Iraq. In addition, they have grandson, Trig.

As others have pointed out, the site names Trig as being both son and grandson (do I hear austintx played the dueling banjo?), and also states s’error palin is a “lifelong” resident of Alaska.

Guess Todd is also getting in on that liar-liar-pants-on-fire game, too.

    anyone else making candy tonight?

my mainstay is half fudge half peanut butter fudge……….finished five pounds. next is pecan pralines but i had to “take a break”…..

am considering something with dried apricots and nuts. anyone have any cool recipes to share?

  33. 33
    seattlefan Says:

ENOUGH…. I’m not making candy tonight, but wish I could have some of that peanut butter fudge! My mom used to make a date nut roll at Christmas that was so yummy. I’m not sure what recipe she used, but this one tastes just like hers and if you like dates…..it is heaven! (and easy)

    DATE NUT ROLL CANDY

    3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. cream
    1 c. dates chopped
1 c. pecans chopped (fresh is best!)
    1 Stick of butter

Cook sugar, milk, cream, and dates until soft ball. Let cool and add butter. Beat until it starts to set up. Add pecans and stir. Pour equal amounts onto 2 sheets of wax paper. Shape into long log rolls with wax paper. Cool and slice.

Don’t worry about the fat and calories….this is so rich (and super sweet) you will only want to eat it once a year. :) It pairs nicely with egg nog or a Chardonnay.

okay – i am done making fudge………the last batch was called almond joy — used coarsely chopped almonds and coconut in the typical marshmallow creme recipe. instead of all semi-sweet……..i use a mix of semi-sweet, bittersweet (ghiradelli for both), and milk chocolate (nestle’s). never made it before, so we shall see.

tomorrow night it is the pecan pralines. my back is killing me (smile). and i have been spending an inordinate amount of time reading palingates.

one of the commenters posted this link to a site that really analyzed palin’s plastic surgery (and i mean the surgeries before the campaign). it is amazing.

    Pat, Washington state Says:

Mmm, yes, the bears that shouldn’t be protected that are swimming because there isn’t enough ice for them anymore.

That was one of the saddest parts of the movie “Earth”, watching the polar bear swim, in search of food, and in search of a place to rest. It all came to late, when that particular bear was too weak and could not survive. Maybe someone should send SP a DVD of that movie – it had quite a bit that was shot in Alaska and Canada, with animals she doesn’t care to protect.
