“I don’t want to be a lame duck,” was an awful lame excuse for quitting.

This is Mrs. Palin’s latest comment on Twitter.

“AKs Winter Solstice=today begins season of lighter/brightr days.May it b in Washngton, too=more light so r govt’s actions can lift up America ”

Isn’t she a little late with this?

Can you just imagine what Christmas is like in the Paylin household? I shudder to think. Especially now since the attention is off of Her Highness for awhile. I feel bad for those kids. But I have to say, when she blows up I hope she blows up big, so there’s no going back. That’s a rotten thing to say at Christmas, but Scarah, you just bring out the worst in people. It must be really tortured inside your head.

Just back from Christmas shopping Round One and I am the QUEEN of parking! I park way out where next to no one else is and in a spot I can easily get into the traffic lane for the light to turn left, then park and walk. I highly recommend it for alleviating stress!

I am happy to report what LOOKS like two high untouched stacks of Going Rogue at BJs discount club priced to sell at 14.99 I think it was, and a smaller, also apparently untouched stack at a small Barnes & Noble still selling at the 30% off price (same as Glenn Beck’s and many others).

Just catching up on the’Flats before Round Two. I didn’t want to, but looks like I HAVE to go to the local target. Apparently nearly no one sells CDs anymore! Mr. Terps and I decided to get the Sting Solstice album this year. I’ll see if any of Sarah’s books seem to have moved since last I checked there.

    OT Alert for Music Lovers!

I would love to find the CD with Julie Andrews singing a lovely carol I hadn’t heard before (when I first found it on a free True Value Hardware Christmas cassette tape compilation – since lost) of The Wessex Carol with an arrangement by Andre Previn. Am I the only one that knows this lovely gem? I tried ordering it from Amazon last year along with other stuff, and they took my money but I never got the CDs! It was a mess and I eventually got reimbursed in full (I think…) but it put me off ordering from them.

Merry Christmas Eve Day … Eve Day to you all!

RE: the winter solstice twit, I read on another blog a comment from a former Alaskan that guaranteed the Palin kids were out partying at some bonfire. So SP probably had to make sure they made it home in one piece before she twittered about it.

Remember the guy who was arrested for the guns and ammo in his car in D.C. earlier this fall? Turns out he was a Bush White House employee. http://motherjones.com/mojo/2009/12/joshua-bowman-gun-charges-bush-white-house-employee

    Teabaggers (God love ‘em)!

Encouraged by Sen Coburn, teabagger prays (apparently very earnestly) for God to “whack” Sen Byrd, then panics, worried that God misunderstood prayers (sh!t happens) and accidentally “took out” Sen Inhofe instead!

Not so much for ” Oily from Alaska ”

But I am sort of confused by the ” 10 ” lame ducks…. Hmmm.
I thought there was only ONE Lame Duck Gov who QUIT, Are there others…..

Anyway… can’t wait to see the last 2 days and see the finished ditty for the
    # 1 Dippy EX-gov.

Investigation Finds ACORN Didn’t Break Laws

A report commissioned by the House Judiciary Committee found ACORN, a community organizing group heavily criticized after an undercover video surfaced, has not violated any federal regulations.

The study by the non-partisan Congressional Research Service found that ACORN correctly used all federal dollars it received and did not improperly register any voters during last year’s presidential election.
