Got this great picture from an anonymous Mudflatter in Washington state. She was doing a little Christmas shopping at her local Barnes & Noble and saw this display right after she walked in the front door. A truer display there never was.
Too funny! But, they are putting where it belongs it is pure fabrication or Sarah’s version of events. By the way, wherever I go I see that book fully stocked and no one even looking at it. Makes me wonder about the book sale figures. I have always thought it was based on the preorders…really don’t believe any store had to reorder to replenish their initial orders. I think a lot of people bought the book for entertainment, definately not substance. I read the book report here, it was free and I got the instant rebuttals as well as all of the great comments from everyone. Oh, and I want to thank you for all of the work you put into reading, deciphering, fact checking and posting it for us.
Very appropriate…….and I see they are discounting it 30%.
I talked with a Wal-Mart employee who lives near me and she said she thought only 2 or 3 of the dozen they ordered had sold, but that very few books have sold this year with the tight economy. She also mentioned that hundreds of books went on their discount tables this weekend because the buyers over-speculated and now have surplus to get rid of.
I also question actual sales versus pre-orders. Chris Matthews went on about her (as he always does) and said that she has already sold over FIVE million. That is the first time I heard such a high number and I seriously doubt it……….but anything is possible.
Too funny!! Glad that Mudpup had her camera with her!
And speaking of books and Mudpups, several on here a few posts ago were raving about Stephen King’s latest “Under the Dome”. Thanks for the heads-up you were right – it is a real page turner! The only problem is the book is over 1,000 and weighs at least 5#! Hard to hold when you’re trying to read yourself to sleep!
Yes, we’re a houseful of Gator fans. We are very shocked and hope Coach Meyer is going to be ok. He’s having a press conference at 4:30 today, ESPN.
As for the photo, the truth is finally shown!
Hope everyone here had a wonderful Christmas and best wishes for the coming year.
I’m so glad I found this site more than a year ago, great stories, great humor, great community, thanks, AKM!
How funny. Maybe B&N figured it might as well try to sell it as fiction since it’s not selling as a bio. It must be Murdock who bought up all of her books since it seems that it is NOT moving off shelves. How pathetic!!!
Love the photo..but lest we get too comfy..I listened to the NPR segment on the tidal-wave..of pubbys going to the places with ‘people to people’ web sites..and now..becoming exceedingly adept at pressing their conservative views, ON those lil home-web-cams. They learned much..from the last campaign..best we..do not allow that rising wave of malcontents..to damage the assorted forward-motions..needed over 4 years…hopefully a second term.
Here is a contrast for you.
Our former governor (now Ambassador to China), Jon Huntsman, flew around the globe to be in Utah for Christmas. He and his family spend Christmas day serving people in need at the Mission. They have done this for over a dozen years. He is only in town a few days before leaving for China again but they felt it was important to continue to serve others in need.
Compare that to Alaska’s former governor who (after quitting midterm) flew around the globe to China….collected her 6 figure check….and blew out of there as fast as she could.
Sorry about the length of the ensuing rant, but this really disturbs me. How can it be that private individuals are permitted to preclude citizens from exercising their constitutional rights on public property, based on their presumed viewpoint?
Not only were people “banned” from a public venue, but there are photographs of people freely handing out extreme-nutty-rightwing propaganda (including the Hitler mustache “literature”) at the very same site from which four people were banned outright, and where a woman wearing an anti-Palin shirt reports having police officers confiscate her signs and threaten her with arrest if she “substituted” an additional form of speech for her seized signs.
42 U.S.C. §1983 provides: “Every person who, under color of any statute, ordinance, regulation, custom, or usage, of any State or Territory or the District of Columbia, subjects, or causes to be subjected, any citizen of the United States or other person within the jurisdiction thereof to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities secured by the Constitution and laws, shall be liable to the party injured in any action at law, suit in equity, or other proper proceeding for redress.”
One court recently agreed that even “the right of a private parade [or other private event] organizer to choose their message does not extend to the right of police officers to confiscate signs that they or the public find offensive.” In that case, police at a privately-organized and run parade seized and confiscated only certain signs, and were sued under the federal Civil Rights Act for interference with the sign-holders’ First Amendment rights, including their rights to speech and assembly.
A public facility like a taxpayer-built sports center quintessentially is a traditional public forum–that is, property upon which citizens have a right to be and to exercise their Constitutional rights without any content-based restrictions by state actors, or even those who appeared to have any official authority (like a police officer on a private detail). Someone in uniform who is confiscating property and threatening to arrest clearly acts “under color of” law.
A content-based restriction–that is, one based on the speaker’s message (let alone “banning” certain people ouright, because of their presumed message)–is subject to the highest degree of constitutional scrutiny. To ban speech simply because of disagreement with the message conveyed is the most constitutionally abhorrent basis for a speech/assembly restriction.
Part one of my comment is awaiting moderation, so I hope the remainder makes sense:
Any possible argument that restricting speech in order to “spare” the speaker some adverse reaction has long been put to rest as absurd: there is no “heckler’s veto” to constitutionally-protected speech. As one court recently noted (in permitting suit to go forward against police who selectively seized signs during a privately-run parade) “government regulation of speech or assembly activities, motivated by anticipated or actual listener reaction to the content of the communication is not content-neutral.” See Forsyth County v. Nationalist Movement, 505 U.S. 123, 134-36 (1992). “Thus, Defendants’ argument that they were concerned with the crowd’s reaction to the content of Plaintiffs’ signs does not shield Defendants from the court’s finding that their actions were content-based” and actionable under the federal Civil Rights statute.
The United States Supreme Court has observed that speech is protected “unless shown likely to produce a clear and present danger of a serious substantive evil that rises far above public inconvenience, annoyance, or unrest.” It should go without saying that a private individual’s or family’s “inconvenience, annoyance, or unrest” would bear no weight towards restricting free speech or assembly.
As the United States Supreme Court has observed, “a function of free speech under our system of government is to invite dispute. It may indeed best serve its high purpose when it induces a condition of unrest, creates dissatisfaction with conditions as they are, or even stirs people to anger. Speech is often provocative and challenging. It may strike at prejudices and preconceptions and have profound unsettling effects as it presses for acceptance of an idea.”
I saw on TV if you order a years subscription to News Max you get the book for FREE!!! If you are already a subscriber and renew you sub. than you get the book for $4.95.
I wonder if that B&N get a phone call from someone tomorrow and the books come out from under the fiction sign. If Palin is aware, I can’t see her leaving it alone, being the thin-skinned whiner that she is.
Don’t think Sarah’s book will ever be on the high school or college required reading list. I would have been tempted to have read the book if she had written it without a ghost writer. It would have been interesting to have seen her writing style or lack of writing style. It would have been interesting to seen pages of her journals….a far more interesting insight on how Sarah’s brain works or doesn’t work.
@Ginger…I bought 2 of the books for the reason you stated. One I bought for me, just to see with my own eyes the crap she dished out. The 2nd was for a friend who dislikes her. He told me last night and says that he has started reading it, and he wonders how she is pulling the wool over so many eyes.
Like most Canadians he more amused by the situation than frightened. However neither of us like us having her on the same continent.
Every once in awhile, when I need sanity from the train-wreck, I go to OFA website. During the campaign, Desert Dan posted inspiring youtubes he creates. I’m glad he still blogs on the website. This youtube is not current, but, I found it inspired me going into 2010. Having President Obama in the White House, I can sleep at night. Hope he and his family are enjoying and relaxing in Hawaii. (We know he isn’t going to quit his vacation because of the media.)
That photo is too funny. I looked at my B&N where I go every week. SP’s book is on the New Arrival table. But I was happy to see it wasn’t on the “Our staff picks” shelves.
Merry Christmas to all. I am thankful for this community and the sanity I can find here every day. The Mudflats is truly a lifeline for this blue dot in the middle of a red state.
I’m still mulling over what I should do when the hateful quitter twitter queen comes to Nashville (just a few miles from my house) for her speech to the teabaggers convention. If there is a protest rally, I’ll be there with the sign like I saw at one of her book signings: Sarah, Face the Nation, Meet the Press, or STFU.
There is already a move by some of the Tennessee republicans in control of the state legislature to opt out of the yet to become law health care reform.
The fight for health care reform is far from over.
Maybe $P’s whole purpose is just trying to be as glamorous as Ivana Trump. Remember?
“And there, at J.C. Penney’s cosmetic department, was Ivana, the former Mrs. Donald Trump, sitting at a table next to a photograph of herself. She wore a light-colored pantsuit and pink fingernail polish. Her blonde hair was coiffed in a bouffant French twist. ‘We want to see Ivana,” said Palin, who admittedly smells like salmon for a large part of the summer, ”because we are so desperate in Alaska for any semblance of glamour and culture.”’
article in San Jose paper (Dec 23) says Palin may havea speaking engagement here (BARF- excuse me, couldn’t help myself) ..the reporter ended the article with ( and I’m paraphrasing) ..That he would like to thank Palin for helping him understand the attraction for Nascar….You just can’t take your eyes off of it for a second, because you might miss seeing a spectacular firey crash…..
I’ve been watching the book at my local Costco, and the size of the pile never seems to change. I’ve not seen anyone even look at it, much less touch it.
I did see a copy in a cart at Sam’s Club however.
I’m waiting for Costco to box the books up and send them back to the publisher. Glad to see it is not selling.
Kudos to the B&N store manager for his/her display of this book of lies!
I was in my local Walmart (Ohio) just after Christmas and spotted the liar’s book…could not help myself as I turned every one of them around.
I could just not bear to walk past that shelf and see her face one more time.
They were so cheap that I thought of buying them all and have a book burning party, but rethought that because I did not want to release toxic fumes from her lies into the ozone.
Amazon is selling her book for 50% off now, and independents have some signed “collectors” copies for up to $295.00. In a recession, people gotta do what they gotta do. Unfortunately, some of the “reviews” were expressed from a favorable “objective” view, stating how she took on the corruptness in Alaskan politics, etc.. People believe her lies. However, it is #6 now on the bestsellers list.
The book may only be discounted by 50%, but the veracity of its contents has been discounted by 100%. Unfortunately the confereration of dopes knows as the Palinbots are not smart enough to know falsity from truth.
I was reading the Palingates story and the pics posted with it as it related to S’errors attendance at the X-mas dinner serving line.
I was doing a Google search and quite by accident I came across this story quite by accident. This ‘ fan ‘ of hers is her explanation of what really went down there. It was NOT about S’error… in her story. ( her quote )
“My only comment would be that the writer is not quite correct – our celebration was not about Sarah as he said, but it’s not about Santa either, as the article suggests.”
She also tells her story as it relates to what was posted in The Frontiersman post this week.
( Her blog post has MANY more pics.. Chuckie Heath was in one… with many more S’errors as well)
Of course some Bots found the comment section of the story and weigh in as well… in their typical ” Lite”-headed manner. ( Sarah spells it ‘ lite ‘. )
Ok – Quitty McTwitterpants has set a terrible precedent with social media and I’m just not sure how much more I can take.
I just saw a post from General Wesley Clark announcing to the twitterverse that he’s getting ready to head out to see the Avatar movie at the IMAX in LA and is entirely stoked about it .
Tooooo much information !!!!! I can’t get the image a retired 4 star general and supreme commander of Euro NATO forces sitting in the IMAX, sporting his cardboard 3-D glasses, licking butter flavored popcorn grease off his fingers and yellin, ” Dude!! Awesome!!!” at a graphic novel soon-to-be cult film where other attendees are dressed as the movie characters.
Now mind you, I entirely embrace my inner geek and have been one my whole life. I fully appreciate and respect the geek-ity in others. But , seriously – If you know you are going to be written about in the history books and a good portion of your legacy is based on your having been a great military commander – Pleeeeeze don’t tweet to the world that you’re excited to be heading out to the IMAX for an animated sci-fi. I beg you !
Does anyone know the answer to this? The book sales figures – when they say ’5 million copies sold’ – is that figure based upon the number of books ordered by outlets or the actual number of retail sales?
I’m asking for two reasons: First, a lot of pics are surfacing which show Sarah’s book being discounted (already! Is this a record or standard policy?) – and second, if you do the math on her book tour, where she signs no more than 1k books per each event – I’m hard-pressed to reach even 200k books sold (obviously people bought the book who didn’t attend the signings but… wouldn’t the signings provide a clue to the total figures?)
Enquiring minds want to know – and happy hols to everyone stateside from those of us downunder
I was browsing the Forum posts and noticed that Lani had a link to a Andrew Sullivan post called ” What Really Irritates Todd Palin ”
He does a H\T to AKM for her earlier post and uses her info.
Oh – forgot to add that MUYS – You are on a roll ! Nicely done!
(and, just have to add that I’m very much enjoying having a Buffalo Brian here , by way of a special mudpup from a much warmer climate . After the holidays we’ll be heading out for some exploration and photo moments. )
I just had to comment on the wasilla dinner.i doubt that it will stay because I told them that all over America this was happening not just so the palins and heaths could get a photo opt and that it was on going all year not just a Christmas time. That the Salvation Army did this for thanksgiving and the Obamas were out serving them./Why people equate Sp with our president is beyond me.I have a friend from California that was ,is strictly an Clinton person and she knows I like Obama.I called to wish her a Merry Christmas. We have known each other for over 40 years. At any rate she thinks Clinton should have won and wouldn’t vote when she lost.I just told her no one will agree with everything any president does and we let it go.After I told her anything was better than McCain/palin and she had to agree with that,so at least she wasn’t one of the few that were suckered into following McCain/palin.Gotta give her credit for that.
And another good feeling you tube…….our President needs our help, we’re all in this together and we have much to do. Scarah can sometimes be such a stupid distraction and a total waste of time and our attention. GAH.
Martha, good one! lol
I’ve been following something very disturbing and not at all okay. I’ll get my links together and post about it. It is serious and huge, it requires our attention, a call to action.
Excellent photo!!
A previous picture inspired me to turn any palin rogue tome to the back cover or misplace a copy I pick up (like not in bestsellers) when I see them in the store. It’s like being on a Monkey Wrench Gang!!
I’ve been thinking about the blogger ban list and how that all came down. Scarah talked Harper into paying for the building and security, which they’ve done for every book signing.
But then from their its all under Scarah and Wasilla friends and family control. They benifit the Mernard Sports arena, they benefit local book shops, they benefit Wasilla’s sales tax revenue, and everything connected with people traveling there, gas stations, restaurants, etc. Just follow the money……..the military bases give her wide political capital, Wasilla safe haven and support…….the rest of Alaska is under the bus.
And where is Meg, why hasn’t she shown up? now where to be seen? thump, thump?
No Tr*g, Tr*p or Bristol either, no community love for them?
And then, they have the balls to drum up a blogger ban list. I bet Chucky and Toad came up with this and put it in place. Their turf, they’re gonna call the shots. Sally and Chucko are very involved with the Christmas Friends Dinner and have been busy with other locals organizing for the event to be held at the Mernard Arena. I’m sure they’ve worked hand in hand with Hastings getting ready for the event since they got back in town. Heck he probably has his job because of them or some relative connection, lol. They got the book signing gig for Hastings. I’d say they pretty much had him over a barrel or even very willing to do their bidding.
I did find it pretty funny when he stated the bloggers had to be protected from “the Scarah fan club”, I think it mostly applied to the likes of Chucky, Toad and Eddie Burke who’d love to kick some blogger a*s.
I’m sure they figured no one would screw up a community family dinner on Christmas day, but one wonders if they had “look outs” or crowd watchers and kept it under wraps after the signing blow up, lol.
Think about this statement from ADN:
“It’s her hometown and remember, everybody is her friend, everybody is her parents’ friend and we’re all friends of the family,” said Lyn Carden, executive director of the Greater Wasilla Chamber of Commerce.”
(wow only one book store in town or family friend?)
“Local bookseller Shannon Cullip set up a table to sell copies of “Going Rogue.” By just before noon, with the book-signing line starting to ebb, Cullip had sold about a third of the roughly 1,000 books she’d brought.”
Also too, I forgot to add that Scarah funneled state money to Wasilla Mernards Sports Arena for kitchen upgrades this year, I believe it was $10,000.00. How very home town friends and family chummy of her.
I checked with my friend in the publishing world, and it still cannot be determined 1) what book publishing total truly is, 2) how many times the book has gone to a reprint status (if anyone has a copy or dares to open one up at a store, check the back side of the main title page – there is a series of numbers, the lowest of which is the printing run number, 3) what a solid sales figures (not number of books shipped, and 4) what the book tally is for returned from sellers yet.
Will keep trying…
In the meantime, I went to my local Target & Walmart looking to pick up 50% off holiday decorations & cards for next year, and passed by the books section in each store. In Target, the book section where GR was placed on shelving was chopped from 3 rows of 4 copies each down to one row with 4 books (I asked a working stocking the shelves where the other GR books were – he said that they were added to the other GR books back in storage, ready for reshipment back to HC come 1/4/2010; he checked his scanner thingy and noted only 2 copies had been sold!). In Walmart, the big pallet of books was there on 12/23 at 7pm, was gone as of today. I asked someone who works there how the sales were, and she laughed and said “puny-ful”. I said “what?”, and she said “puny-ful” again. I guess that means puny (little in number) and who knows what the “ful” stands for, but I’m thinking she was not an SP fan.
Since this is an open thread, the following is not off topic, I presume. In the Styles section in today’s Sunday NY Times, the very intellectual fashion editor, Cathy Horyn has a bylined piece touting Sara Palin’s style as that of the working woman as opposed to Michelle Obama’s fashionista clothes. Horyn tout’s Palin’s book tour clothes as being those working women can identify with. I was furious enough to send off a missive to the Times public or ombudsman editor (public@NYTimes.com) pointing out SPs hooker boots and shoes, crushed velvet 1985 Madonna outfits, windbreakers, hoodies and fleece sweat shirts, bumpit assisted beehives and hair extensions, troughs of make up, the Hawaii love America or get the hell out t shirts, etc, and my suspicion that the article was published just to get clicks which made the Times no better than the disgraced Washington Post. I hope others complain as well.
LiladyNY @47 – thanks for that link. I loved the very direct and simple line, ” When did it become acceptable to communicate like this? ”
It’s twitter for goodness sake. Our govt, military and social leaders should not be using it as a vehicle for governance and/or casual chat about their hour to hour lives. That’s just crazy.
I have “The Sound of Music” on in the other room. Haven’t watched it in years. Is it just me or do other folks want to smack the father upside the head ? I don’t remember that strong of a reaction years ago. ( I just bet he’d vote for $’error )
@25: I’ve thought the same thing about the Ivana Trump influence. Didn’t Crazy wait for hours to see her at some department store? And doesn’t she often wear her hair up? I think Ivana is Crazy’s role model, she wants to be glamorous and wealthy, too. Some role model.
I’ve been over reading Mr. Finebergs web site, OMG, it’s good, it’s very detailed, a tad hard to keep up with because of his extraordinary detail, but so good.
this is just one of the things that jumped out at me…….it’s obvious the state sucks at setting up contracts with the developers, who, you know, are looking at the bottom line, or, they (the state) are persuaded, probably with dollars, to go easy in negotiations and non binding stringent contracts. GAH
“The report notes that state regulators have not yet secured cooperation from oil and gas producers to provide their data. The state needed that cooperation early on in the project, the report says.”
“A BP Alaska spokesman said the National Academy review seems to affirm some of the industry’s concerns about the project.
The spokesman, Steve Rinehart, said BP has raised concerns about the scope of the study and the confidentiality of internal data it submits for the study.”

Guess what… I did the same thing… looking at the ‘decoration leftovers’. I walked down the Book Aisle and had to look about 3 times. ” Where’s Sarah? ” Nowhere to be found. There were NO copies of the GR book out on the aisle. No empty spaces either. There were about 3 copies of the audio tape. They had all the other authors out there… even Becksters book.
Awwww…….
this is odd, 5 mil is dedicated to the project in 07, less than 1/5th is spent now, when the project is due. Yet, someone else complains 5 mil was never enough in the first place for the study needed. What the H is going on?
again, from Mr. Finebergs site quoting an ADN Oct. 20, 09 article, keep in mind this is a Scarah administered study, back in 07, due June 09, this year, but delayed and now being inherited by Sir Scarah Parnell, sounds like a soppy, dead fish, stinky mess to me. And a lot of end of June, 09 stuff, Scarah bailed ship 3 days later, just saying, I think the kitchen was gettin hot.
“He said only $700,000 of the $5 million for the project has been spent. However, the summer 2010 completion date for the study may slip a few months because the National Academy report was late. It was due in June, he said.
For now, the state does not have a contractor assigned to the study.
The DEC recently ended its relationship with the firm it hired to design the study. The state’s contract with Doyon Emerald Consulting, an Alaska Native-owned firm in Anchorage, expired in late June without being renewed, said Royal Weld, a DEC spokeswoman.
She said the state will not look for a new contractor until after the study’s oversight team completes its review.
If you want to see a really kooooooollll picture… I found this one when browsing some sites tonight. ( Never seen anything like this -GREAT detail )
————————————
“It’s an 18GB panoramic photo of Prague.
This image is currently (as of 12/2009) the largest spherical panoramic photo in the world. It is 192,000 pixels wide and 96,000 pixels tall. That’s 18.4 billion pixels, or 18.4 gigapixels! When it’s printed, it will be 16 meters (53 feet) long at regular photographic quality (300dpi). ”
People Magazine said $P signed 58,000 copies on the tour. 201 of those are currently on eBay under “Going Rogue”– plus one confused fellow selling a copy of GR signed at the Mall of America in “Republican Red,” which he therefore refers to as “Going Rouge.” As Inigo Montoya would say, I don’t think he means what he thinks it means.
@honestyinGov — that is SO cool!
Another open thread tidbit. I’m visiting my mother in Houston over the holidays and there have been full page ads for the Get Motivated Seminars. These seminars are ‘very proud to present’ Sarah Palin! Her topic is “Achieving your Personal and Professional Goals.” After a smarmy little paragraph touting her background it continues. “In this intriguing session, she will share with you How to Successfully Manage and Balance (In bold) Your Personal and Professional Priorities, How to Overcome (in bold) Obstacles with Creative Solutions, The Secrets to Effective (in bold) Decision-Making, and How to have Grace (in bold) Under Fire. The caps and bolds are theirs.
And get this – Admission at the door is $225 – but in a special, limited time offer if you get your tickets in advance it’s $4.95 per person. The downward slide has begun. It’s incredibly tacky – so she should fit right in.
Palin is no “rogue”…she’s a rube who will implode in an impressive display of dejection once the spotlight is shut off. Good luck in the debates, “princess”: I don’t exepect that anyone with a shred of self-respect (man or woman) will be going easy on you THIS time around, you blind little kewpie doll.
Even better, put it in the fantasy or horror section.
Good morning from NC and best of the season to everyone!
Why did B&N even order it at all? They sullied their stock. Oh, those nine pieces of silver are everywhere, aren’t they?
Too funny! But, they are putting where it belongs it is pure fabrication or Sarah’s version of events. By the way, wherever I go I see that book fully stocked and no one even looking at it. How funny. Maybe B&N figured it might as well try to sell it as fiction since it’s not selling as a bio. It must be Murdock who bought up all of her books since it seems that it is NOT moving off shelves. How pathetic!!!
@5 London Bridges, hilarious cartoon. I love it.

nuff said.
FactCheck is running an item on Sister Sarah
http://factcheck.org/2009/12/sarah-palins-accomplishments/
They also listed “Death Panels” first under their Woppers of 2009 article
http://factcheck.org/2009/12/whoppers-of-2009/
Part one of my comment is awaiting moderation, so I hope the remainder makes sense:

That rack doesn’t look like it can hold more than about a dozen copies. Can’t be a lot of demand for the thing.
AKM: some “Feedburner” error prevents me from opening latest thread, the one newer than this one…just fyi.

There is one cool B&N store manager out there for setting that display up. I can’t believe that was accidental.
And now how the mighty have fallen http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/12/27/ivana-trump-gets-belliger_n_404219.html
All Rogue-y and stupid and 30 percent off!
At truth and reality she does nothing but scoff
The use which is best for this book of decay:
Spare toilet paper, then throw it away!
It already stunk to the heavens above
Now after use, it smells worse than Ex-Gov
All Rogue-y and stupid and marked down to the bone
Quitty the Twitty will be lookin’ for a loan
The roof needs a fixin’, for Santa they say
But it’s likely the fixin’ is really a romp in the hay
Gimme my Red Bull, my Crunchwrap Supreme!
I’ll get you, I will, with my whacked Palin Team
But give me a moment, while I watch my TV
The soaps give me plots, which I really must see
I lie and I steal and I dance with the devil
No playing field of mine will ever be level!
Visions of sugar moose dance in my head
I lie about shooting but still eat the dead
It’s all in the book which you must run and buy
If you don’t give me money, an angel will die
All Rogue-y and stupid and 30 percent off!
At truth and reality she does nothing but scoff!
article in San Jose paper (Dec 23) says Palin may havea speaking engagement here (BARF- excuse me, couldn’t help myself) ..the reporter ended the article with ( and I’m paraphrasing) ..That he would like to thank Palin for helping him understand the attraction for Nascar….You just can’t take your eyes off of it for a second, because you might miss seeing a spectacular firey crash…..
Yes, a stunned Gator is here as well. Wishing Urban Meyer the best.
Read AKM’s new guest post if you haven’t. It’s upstairs ^^
Hope you don’t mind I uploaded your picture to amazon.

BEST Going Rogue picture of the year.
I wonder who at Borders had the guts.
They should get a bonus.
Personally am taking a bit of a breather from the loathsome Palins, and concentrating on pleasant matters of ordinary life.
Celtic Diva seems to have a balanced life, and took a breather for her families Christmas. Very healthy.
I will be waiting for $arah and her Toads next big blunder.
Eventually these two will hang themselves high.
TIME does tell, and they will do it all themselves.
Since others seem too afraid to tell what they know it might take a bit more time, but it will happen.
Hope every one had a wonderful Christmas.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
Ship ‘em north for fire fuel.
The book may only be discounted by 50%, but the veracity of its contents has been discounted by 100%. Unfortunately the confereration of dopes knows as the Palinbots are not smart enough to know falsity from truth.
Here is the article referenced by benlomond above: http://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/local-beat/Sarah-Palin-Could-Go-Rogue-in-San-Jose-jw-80007592.html
“Going Rogue” is in the romance section at my Wal Mart. I will try to get a picture.

I beg you !
What Would Lincoln Twitter???

Polly, thank you for the DessertDan you tube, it was great!
here’s another one, it’s really sweet.

In the meantime, enjoy……

Excellent photo!!
A previous picture inspired me to turn any palin rogue tome to the back cover or misplace a copy I pick up (like not in bestsellers) when I see them in the store. It’s like being on a Monkey Wrench Gang!!
#39 @Buffalo Gal
I found this over at one of my favorite blogs talking about Twitter, specifically S’error’s twit about climate change. Fascinating.
http://www.ginandtacos.com/2009/12/21/the-end-of-western-civilization/
Irishgirl ~ how are you liking the book so far?
The YouTube video by Desert Rat Dan is fabulous as well as the background music. A terrific montage.
Is that kosher? or did I get bad info.
Sigh…where’s that danged editing button?
For the 3), that should be what a solid sales figure is.
For the Target info, that should be a “worker” stocking the shelves.
The state needed that cooperation early on in the project, the report says.”
pepperzmom……..in GA, I’d say that is a very good sign! suck it up Scarah buttercup and Harper Collins.
I now also wonder whether Toad quit, or was persuaded to go, get out, we no longer have a working relationship……..
Again, from Mr. Fineberg’s research site……
http://www.finebergresearch.com/pdf/TRBPress091020-25.pdf

And a lot of end of June, 09 stuff, Scarah bailed ship 3 days later, just saying, I think the kitchen was gettin hot.
http://www.adn.com/money/industries/oil/story/980882.html

http://www.ieatgravel.com/
When it comes to fiction, Frank Delaney still does it better…
People Magazine said $P signed 58,000 copies on the tour. 201 of those are currently on eBay under “Going Rogue”– plus one confused fellow selling a copy of GR signed at the Mall of America in “Republican Red,” which he therefore refers to as “Going Rouge.” As Inigo Montoya would say, I don’t think he means what he thinks it means.
@honestyinGov — that is SO cool!
I think B&N is being too polite.
