If members of her family tend to hold onto high-value letters - <i>like</i> Q and K - hoping to use them on a triple word score - well, that's how most folks I know play (myself included); calling that strategy "hoarding" makes sense, especially if you are talking about a number of games over a period of time, even if you can only "hoard" one or two tiles in a particular game. Sure she just said "Ks and Qs" but I think it's clear from the context that Zs and Js and Xs might just as well be "hoarded" too... On the other hand, I wonder qualifies as a "long fancy word" in the Palin household - maybe <i>quack</i>?
