Open Thread – Ice Fortress
28 12 2009OK, it’s not really an ice fortress… it’s more like a lovely, eccentric (and very tall) log cabin. Don, our official Mudflats aviator took to the air today and sent back these pictures of an interesting structure somewhere between Anchorage and Talkeetna. I’m guessing there must be one heck of a view from the top floor. I wonder if they have an elevator…
UPDATE: I’ve gotten some additional information, and also have a request. If you do know the location of this incredible structure, please refrain from posting it. We need to respect the privacy and security of the owner. That said, the house is 13 stories tall! The stairs are not in yet, so ladders scale the 152 feet to the top tower room observation deck. Wow.

If Oprah routinely lets the Jenny McCarthys and Suzanne Somers spew their pseudo-medical quackery without ever been concerned about the truth of their claims, why on earth would she ever be worried about what SP says?
Oprah’s about making money for Oprah. Palin was just another ratings booster for her. Truth be damned.
