My alma mater, University of Dayton, made the #1 slot in Playboy Magazine's year-end wrap-up of the "top ten party schools" for many years. However, just before my Freshman Year, UD failed to show up at #1. As a matter-of-fact, UD failed to show up in the top ten list at all!

Fans were aghast! School officials were relieved! Then everyone read the fine print at the bottom:

"Note: Fans will be aware that the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio has held the #1 spot since this list started. You will also notice that Dayton does not appear on this year's list. It has been decided by the management that we will no longer rank professionals with amateurs."

That's how I think we should look at Palin's "ownership" of "The Muddy" from now on!

bucsfan I have always thought SP said what she did about Levi working to get him let go or fired if that's the case. She knew just what she was doing and C Heath went right along with it than cried about child support payments ect.How could Levi in a state with a population that is less than some of our lower 49 cities have a chance to get a job with the palins and heaths at his back waiting to stab if they could.Remember what she tried to do to her ex brother-in - law she and her family tried there best to get him fired till a judge told them to leave the man alone if for no other reason than he needed his job to pay support and all the complaints came from the Heaths, palins and close friends,no one else and the heaths and palins went along with a lot of things they complained about during the custody hearings. When people read SP book why can't they see she is getting even and being vindictive???

Thank you Thank you AKM And isn't it a real shame when a 19 year old kid has to have a bodyguard to protect him from the likes of the palins and the heaths. What are we all coming to when free speech and freedom of assembly are stopped by the likes of the palins and the heaths with apparently the help of the Wasilla police dept.Everyone brings up Levis Mom.She did the crime and now is doing the time but what happened to Todds sister? Seems the last I read she got off with a slap on the wristand she did just as bad.

I want to see a concentrated information blitz on Prevo and his crowd of faithful haters. At the very least his political agenda needs to be completely exposed so we, as citizens, can start a real conversation on the ability of churches to use the pulpit to preach politics, yet skate free of federal tax and disclosure obligations. It is my opinion that any religious organization over a certain income size, not only cash income, but property too, minus proven charitable donations, must pay income tax. What do you think AKM? There's a pot that would surely boil over if stirred sufficiently!

I too caught Greta and it was pathetic to listen to Palin blab on while Greta rarely questioned her responses. My takeaway was that:

Palin's solution to the financial crisis is to cut taxes & let the free market work instead of government control, because people can figure out solutions to these problems without the government (OK, let's have those great ideas). Also kept referring to Regan's tax cuts in the 80's and how we just need to repeat his actions (cuz it's just like the 80's now?)

Even claimed those tax cuts would help the very poor when Greta asked, and in regard to health care reform said the poor can go to hospitals & ERs when needed & will be taken care of because we're a compassionate society so it's not a concern. (Duh, these huge bills get paid by the people & it still doesn't address how the uninsured can get routine healthcare to stay healthy).

She insinuates everything negative has happened under Obama, like how it's so terrible that so many jobs have been outsourced to India and she wouldn't allow that. And how the stimulus is causing us to owe money to other countries. Hello? neither of these problems started with Obama.

On foreign policy she said we shouldn't hesitate to try to mend relations between countries but didn't say how. She said Obama hired McCrystal (did he or was he in place?) so he should listen to his input about more troops in Afgahanistan & send the message that we want to "win" the war. Greta did say we've been there 8 years with no success, so why should this be the solution? No real answer but Obama should stop "dithering".

Said Obama doesn't show enough respect for troops and he only does photo-ops when necessary. What about when he and Michelle walked through the military cemetary in the rain on Memorial Day, talking to family members of fallen soilders (which got very little press coverage)? And when he flew to the military base to bring home the fallen soilders (which Bush & Cheney never did). And how he thought long & hard about sending more troops due to the human sacrifice?

She said she left as govenor to help the state because she was bogged down from fivolous law suits. Said Alaska is different than any other state & that she was not protected by the ethics claims and had to pay for the legal fees herself and was afraid to say or do anything at the end. If she ran for higher office she would fight for ethics reforms so this doesn't happen again. Said she just "won" the suit about her wearing a snowmobile jacket that she was inadvertantly advertising (true?)

Basically just babbled her standard rhetoric, but I did think she sounded more sane and knowledgeable, although it's hard to know what's fact or fiction. Said her book was all facts, not filtered by the media & people should read it to learn of her accomplishments, and it may sway more leftys to support her, if not, "they just don't get it".

My choices? SP, WAR and Chevron! So glad many of you helped to bring Chevron up to #8! I would have loved to have seen them in the top Five!
The scale of damage they have done, are doing, and will continue to do, is more than any of us really can imagine, and I am grateful to those of you who acknowledged it by voting for those Rogue Oilers! Not that they are the only ones...
AKM, thank you for listening to our cranky clankings and clamourings.
Giving the (dis)honorable prizes to Prevo and Burke was a gratifying bonus!
Here we are in an open and equal democracy! And of course, on this blog you definitely are the primus inter paris! ;-))

Great choices all.

And note to Levi, keep Butler as well, I am sure you know better that anyone, Sarah never forgive sor forgets, she just reloads.

I still think you should have moved to Canada as soon as she conned you into going onto the Campaign Trail.
Be smart, be humble, be true to youself, and love that kid of yours to pieces.

There should also be a separate category for all those Palin "supporters" who must be the dumbest people on the planet. Anybody looking to this moron for "common sense" are delusional. Since when did "incoherency" become fashionable? This has to be the same bunch who think "reality shows" are based on reality.
