The Mudflats

Tiptoeing Through the Muck of Alaskan Politics

Open Thread

Sarah Palin ate my brain, and now I’m going to bed.

Sleep tight Mudflatters.

Tomorrow’s a new day.

Think of all the things you can accomplish!  And then write them on your hand.

Good morning! Still laughing over last night’s inky palm speech. Such a silly, silly thing to do.

    Not surprising, sadly.

  5. 6

Just a quick comment about the crib notes (which, by the way, puts a new spin on the phrase “Talk to the hand” . . . ): The fact that she wrote some notes on her hand are less interesting than is the fact that she originally wrote the phrase “budget cut” and then drew a line through the word “budget” and underneath that wrote “tax.” Something progressive bloggers have been offering as a critique of conservative budget plans is that they talk enthusiastically about cutting taxes and (much) less precisely about cutting (or “reining in”) spending, offering no specifics. Palin’s little editing job is a real tell with regard to economic policy: No one in that crowd is going to question a “tax cuts” talking point; some of the more thoughtful there, though, might wonder about “budget cuts.”

Just came back, by the way, from a quick visit at C4P to see how they’re responding to the crib note pics; one argument in support of them (it runs, approximately, “They’re faked; but even if they’re not . . . “), stated by a couple of people, is that she’s already made these same points many, many times and just wanted to make sure she didn’t forget them this time. I’m not sure that’s the most flattering of defenses of the former governor . . .

She spent a while attempting to mock the Real President for using a teleprompter, which earned her derision and scorn even from her fans on twitter. Why, you ask, would a Palin fan not enjoy a good dash of mock and awe? Perhaps because Herself was reading off of notes for the entire speech….which only served to give us a gander at the odd poof of hair attached to her real hair. Not sure what’s going on there– maybe that’s “Real America” hair?

In sum, Sarah Palin loyally supports virtually every policy that defined the uniquely disastrous Bush/Cheney first term. The “tea party movement” depicts itself as some sort of novel and independent force in American politics, and the establishment media — which patronizingly equates far right extremists with “real Americans” and is petrified of accusations of “liberal bias” — plays along. But exactly the opposite is true.

Those people who do and love the worst of reality TV are probably the ones who love her. This put a chill down my spine. Reality programming takes over TV and she emerges as the worst possible reality in our national scene as she just seems to slide by all of her horrid actions and words. ***************************************************************************

Even Fox host Clayton Morris agreed. “Yeah, it’s like a civil rights issue. I find it absolutely absurd,” Morris said. Then Morris and Hunt took a swipe at Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), who claims to heed the views of military leaders (except those with whom he disagrees):

MORRIS: On the campaign trail, then-Sen. John McCain said, look, when I hear from the military brass that they want to end Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, I’ll get right in line with them. That’s what happened — we heard from Admiral Mullen, we heard from Defense Secretary Gates. … Why is John McCain flip-flopping here?

HUNT: It’s just too damn convenient for McCain to be doing this. … He’s just wrong on this. We’re in a war. We’ve got guys deployed for 8 years in Afghanistan, almost 7 years in Iraq. And somebody says, I want to serve this country. And McCain wants to say, if you’re homosexual, you can’t serve. It’s wrong. We need these kind of people. We need all of them.

    From commentor maelewis at Palingates:

With so many important appearances and special events on Sarah’s calendar, I would like to provide some tips and hints for future notes-to-self:
    1. Write on the left hand using Sharpie. If you write on the right hand, it could transfer when you shake hands with some guy with sweaty palms. (Most guys looking at Sarah’s short skirt do have sweaty palms).
    2. Soft interviews: note each child’s name with correct birth date. For Trig, we are still going with April 18, 2008, no matter what that birth certificate says.
    3. Next appearance with Glenn Beck: he may switch locations, so be sure to count how many windows in the Empire State Building, Trump Tower and Chrysler Buildings. Maybe Track can google it for Sarah. Use SarahPAC to pay his consulting fee for research.
    4. Question: Why did Sarah use abbreviations in all of her tweets and yet she wrote each word out on her hand? Note: you can cram more stuff in if you use abbreviations like AM for American. Also too, remember to say GD BLS AM(erica) at every opportunity.
    5. Sarah, consider wearing a tailored suit with pretty patterned blouse underneath. You can get more stuff on the cuffs, and then when you hold up your hands, no one will see your notes. Just remember to keep tugging the sleeves of the jackets to cover the writing.
    6. Post-it notes. You can stick them anywhere.

The only thing that will bring her down is a conviction of any illegal activity. Ted Steven’s made someone in the Whitehouse very upset…he had no protection in the end. They wanted him outta there! At what point does self serving criticism of our standing President become outrageous and treasonous?

Sarah Palin declared “America is ready for another revolution” and repeatedly assailed President Barack Obama on Saturday before adoring “tea party” activists (Yeah- all 600 of them). They make up a seemingly natural constituency should she run for president.

“This movement is about the people,” the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee said as the crowd roared. “Government is supposed to be working for the people.”

Here is a response regarding her scathing comments about the Dec 25 Terrorist.

    U.S. justices system ‘will prevail’

“I have no doubt that the American justice system will prevail. Despite the claims and the criticisms of a lot of folks, including in Congress, that our judicial system is unable to handle these terrorists, I believe that our system of justice here is strong,” Brennan said.

“And I’m not going to give al-Qaida the victory of being able to overturn our system of jurisprudence here that is anchored in our Constitution and reflects our values as a people,” he said.

Brennan said he was confident that the accused mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, would face the “full weight of American justice” when he is tried no matter what the venue.

Time to hold her accountable for her tax evasion, husband influencing policy and appointments, etc and the Troopergate abuse of power, etc. In the broader media.

I also talked with another woman yesterday who has had children and asked her if the travel from TX to a small hospital in Palmer/Wasilla made any sense to her, especially in light of the newly revealed guy’s email who saw her in the Alaska Airlines lounge and $P/Granny Grifter was calmly reading a book while in labor.

Sarah Palin has President Obama in her sights, telling FoxNews.com she “would be willing” to challenge him in the 2012 presidential race.

The former Alaska governor, in an interview Saturday on the sidelines of the National Tea Party Convention in Nashville, said President Obama’s “lack of experience” has held him back his first year in office and that she would put her credentials up against his any day.

“I would be willing to if I believe that it’s right for the country,” Palin said when asked if she would run for president in 2012.

She qualified the statement, adding that she sees “many” other potential candidates who are “in as strong or stronger position than I am to take on the White House and if they’re in a better position than I in three years, I’ll support them.”

She truly is a complete and total A$$hole.

Palin is doing more than simply dipping her toe in the water with tentative talk of presidential aspirations. Since unexpectedly leaving the Alaska Governor’s Mansion last year, she’s formed a political action committee, she’s started endorsing and supporting candidates in the Republican primaries, she’s published a book and she’s been agitating the administration on a regular basis.

She delivered the keynote address Saturday at the tea party convention, using it to hammer Obama as soft on terrorism. When convention organizer Judson Phillips mentioned the idea of “President Palin” in a question-and-answer session afterward, audience members leapt to their feet and burst into a chant of “Run, Sarah, Run.”

In the near-term, Palin said she is going to focus her energy on the upcoming GOP primaries, and that she may support “hundreds” of candidates in the months ahead.

“I do want competition to allow the cream of the crop to rise (in the GOP contests),” Palin said, adding that her support would translate into everything from donations to campaign rallies. “There are hundreds of candidates on local, state and on the national level that hopefully we’ll be able to help.”

“I believe that I am because I have common sense and I have — I believe the values that are reflective of so many other American values. And I believe that what Americans are seeking is not the elitism, the kind of a spineless — a spinelessness that perhaps is made up for that with some kind of elite Ivy League education and a fat resume that’s based on anything but hard work and private sector, free enterprise principles. Americans are — could be seeking something like that in positive change in their leadership. I’m not saying that that has to be me.”

The “screen capture” of SP at the podium, the one purportedly from CNN and showing the smudge/writing on her hand, has NO time listed. Screen captures usually don’t drop off the time [of the frame], do they?

AND, if the ‘close up’ is meant to be from the [above] screen capture, it isn’t. The hand in the close up is in a totally DIFFERENT position than is the one shown in the screen capture.

Had what is being shown as her “notes” been actual, the close up and the screen capture would have been one and the same shot.

That she had something written on her hand is NOT “proven” by the ‘screen capture’/'close up’ — the two photos aren’t even of the same moment in time (whenever that moment might’ve been.)

Unless irrefutable evidence to the contrary surfaces, I say the “notes” have been photoshopped.

That’s the clincher. Why would she be scoping her palm while trying to address the audience?

    (And @ 115, 116, 123, 125, 127 & 147…)

The problem is, and to me, this is a HUGE problem, in the *same* series of AP photos, is a shot of her hand (# 9 in the series) that shows **something** there, BUT there has been (or isn’t) the same ‘zoom in’ on *that* photo to CORROBORATE what is purported to be shown in the (#4) “money shot.”

Surely **IF** the “money shot” were NOT photoshopped, and assuming all the photos in the series were taken by the *same* AP photographer, the same zoom-in could/would be applied (to photo #9) to corroborate the veracity of ‘the list’ (purportedly shown in photo #4) written on her hand.

That there is *something* on her hand, I have no doubt…whether the #4 photo was (retroactively) ‘enhanced’ to fit/substantiate the ‘reason’ she’s looking at her hand so oddly and intently in the Q&A, is something I do think raises a serious question.

Does anyone have the capability to zoom-in on the #9 photo to reveal that there, is, indeed, the last word of her ‘list’ showing? And/or, are there any OTHER photos taken during her diatribe to the TPers against POTUS and the ‘un-real Americans’ that could be offered *in support of* the assertion that she DID have a ‘list’ on her hand?

For as much as the woman bugs the ever-lovin’ chit out of me with every . single . thing . she . says . and . does, it somehow bothers me even more that there is NO corroboration of/for the ‘money shot’ and yet, we’re all asked to accept it *as if* there were! That sounds, to me, like something SP would pull; trying to foist untruths off on people by making assertions –without a shred of evidence to corroborate– that what she’s stating is ‘fact’ … and should be blindly accepted as ‘truth.’

Sorry, without corroboration, I flat DON’T buy it; seems to me that folks who are so adamant about exposing SPs lies, shouldn’t either – what’s good for the gander should be good for the goose (or the one-time “lame duck”, as the case may be).

Q: This poll said by I think a margin of about 4-1 among Republicans they thought you were more qualified to be president than Obama. Do you think you’re more qualified to be president than President Obama?

PALIN: The whole qualification issue still perplexes me, because in the campaign we tried to bring attention to the fact that Obama had really not a lot of experience. And I do say that my executive experience, as an administrator, as a team manager if you will was, and so was John McCain’s as a matter of fact, was stronger and we had more experience than Barack Obama did in terms of managing huge multi-billion dollar budgets and thousands of employees that I had just come from a position of that and that hasn’t changed.

    Q: But without McCain?

PALIN: And without McCain, I mean Barack Obama had 150 days in the U.S. Senate where he was able to vote quite often present, not have to make decisions, being one of many, not having to manage. His executive position now in the White House is as, whether he likes it or not, a manager. He has to make tough decisions. He has to be willing to fire people, though you don’t make any friends when you fire people and I know that first hand because I’ve had to do that. And you have to make tough decisions, and not dither on issues. You have to make quick decisions in many respects and I think that President Obama with all due respect, his lack of experience is really made manifest in the way that decisions are made in the White House today.

You can only “zoom in” so far after the fact on a picutre originally taken as a wide shot.

I’m sure the AP photographer noticed there was something on her hand and decided to use the powerful zoom lens ON HIS CAMERA to capture the writing as a separate photo.

    c) She’s decompensating psychologically.

Print this off for me, I’m going to grab it on my way home, because I work off a Blackberry, constantly, for practical reasons, it helped too. Todd helped as Alaska’s “First Dude” with no staff. with no office, being thousands of miles away during a lot of times, with his job in Prudhomme Bay on the North Slope and commercial fishing. He helped with workforce development issues, issues that meant a lot to him and people out there, IN THE REAL WORLD. With carhearts, and steeltoed boots and hardhats trying to build this country. Todd helped in that respect. He never got into the minutiae of the politics, Todd’s too good for that, he hates this kind of periphery political bull-stuff that we go through. He’s not a part of any of that and, no, more power to Todd for being a good adviser and being a good practical person with common sense solutions.”

    Irishgirl:

My brother worked at that plant last August. Some of his Union brothers were there today and none of the Carpenters died, but some were hurt. The Pipefitters lost people. One of his female carpenter friends was inside, and got blown 40 feet. She said she saw a guy’s head and arm blown off. Horrible stuff. They are digging through the rubble to find survivors. It took an hour to put the fire down.

I’m so glad my brother wasn’t working today. He hasn’t worked there since August in any case, but his friends do and have. It was very hard for him to see the pictures on TV. He kept pointing out things he was familiar with.. the access road, the trailer, the sides of the building that blew off.. ones he had a hand in putting on.

I know journalists aren’t supposed to use words like mean and dumb, but I can’t help it. Palin is one of the meanest people on the public stage today. She wallows in it. She loves it! Also? Possibly one of the dumbest. But mean works, and so does dumb. And so do lies, and there were many mean, dumb lies in her speech.

How rich that she read her talk in a sing-song voice as she ripped Barack Obama for using a Teleprompter. Once she left the speech for the Q&A, she really went off-message, as well as nearly off-English. (Even though it looked like, at one point, she was reading answers off of her hand.) ”

That is so weird, what baby would not wake up? lol, they must have realized the oddity, he was awake at the convention. Poor little guy.

You can tell Cindy is in director coordinator mode. It’s funny to watch McCain, he’s worried every time she says something. He’s got so much riding on this, lol. They also positioned Bristol behind McCain’s standing body, clever.

lol, I just heard her say it, she used her fingers to imply little 1″ surprise, she meant the pick but the crowd didn’t get it.

McCain’s face goes blank when she says she never set out to be in politics.

And wait just a minute, do we have some embellishing in her background?
She was elected to city council in 1992, Track her oldest was 3 yrs old born 1989, Scarah’s got some splainin to do. I think she rearranged things to sound better. Like her political career didn’t come before her kids even went to school.

“I was just your average “hockey mom” in Alaska. We were busy raising our kids. I was serving as the team mom and coaching some basketball on the side. I got involved in the PTA and then was elected to the City Council and then elected mayor of my hometown, where my agenda was to stop wasteful spending and cut property taxes and put the people first.”

Sarah has proven that everything Steve Schmidt said was true. She would not or could not learn anything at all; the top McCain political professionals could not turn the sow’s ear into a silk purse.

Sarah could not even fake being smart. I was appalled when I saw old video of her three way debate for governor, and the other two candidates allowed Sarah to use index cards– from which she read her talking points. Fast forward to Sarah’s disastrous interview with Katie Couric, and, once again, Sarah was allowed to do the interview with a pile of index cards in her lap. She turned them over, reciting each topic sentence. The only problem was that it was a total jumble. When Tina Fey repeated Sarah’s interview, word for word (without the index cards) it was laughable.

Now, after all this time to study, learn, solidify a political point of view, maybe even read a book, we can see that Sarah has done nothing to change from that index-card reading stiff. There is no difference between the teleprompter and the stack of index cards that Sarah kept glancing down at during her tea bagger speech. Sarah did not appear to have rehearsed or studied her cards ahead of time. She seemed quite ill at ease referring to them and trying to cite each blurred talking point.

I think that we saw Sarah at her best when the GOP spent $150,000. or maybe $250,000. to dress her. They spent many thousands more to do her make up, do her hair, and try to turn her into a passable candidate. That was the best that Sarah could be. Everything thing that we see now from that dated wig, frozen face, poor delivery and hand written crib notes is the real Sarah, the mean girl still trying to get even with the people who won the election. Her speech was not worth $100,000. And, she proves that everything that Steve Schmidt said was true.

    http://www.switched.com/2010/02/05/latest-internet-explorer-flaw-exposes-any-file-on-your-pc/

“Latest Internet Explorer Flaw Exposes Any File on Your PC
    by Terrence O’Brien — Feb 5th 2010 at 1:30PM

Internet Explorer is no stranger to security vulnerabilities, but a flaw revealed by Microsoft on Wednesday is one of the most stunning we’ve ever seen. The flaw effects IE6, IE7, and IE8 on Windows XP as well as IE7 and IE8 on Vista and Windows 7 if protected mode has been disabled (though protected mode is turned on by default).

The exploit would allow a hacker to access any file on your system by forcing IE to incorrectly render data from local files, exposing it to outside parties. The flaw, which is actually several smaller security holes combined in an ingenious way, would require tricking a victim into visiting a Web site through e-mail or IM, and then the attacker know the location and name of the file they’d wish to access. Unfortunately, many programs store sensitive data using a standardized structure that would be easy to find though guesswork.

If you’re running Vista or Windows 7, ensure that you’re running IE in protected mode, or even better — choose a different browser. If you’re still running XP and can’t bring yourself to use Firefox or Chrome, you can lock down IE by setting the Internet and Local security zones to “High” or disabling ActiveX completely. You could also enable IE Network Protocol Lockdown, which requires editing the registry. Thankfully, Microsoft has created a “Fix it for me” link, available here, that does the dirty work for you.”

Tim Shriver talked to Rahm Emanuel because of Palin and the retard comment. I read he wrote Rush a letter. Now Sarah says it’s okay for Rush. Wonder what Shriver thinks of Palin now that it is okay for Rush to say retard. She did throw her baby under the bus. A loving mother wouldn’t be selective in allowing insults.

    from Barb D at Palingates………..

“From the Branchflower report on Troopergate, the “Mr. Wheeler” being asked questions was part of her security detail:

Officer Wheeler testified that Todd Palin spent at least 50 percent of his time in Governor Palin’s office. Although he did not have his own office, he would routinely use the governor’s office, sitting at the conference table that had a phone on it. I asked Officer Wheeler whether he had an opinion about Todd Palin’s level of involvement in the day-to-day affairs of the Governor’s office:

MR. BRANCHFLOWER: Do you have an opinion about his level of involvement in the day-to-day affairs of the working of the governor’s office?

MR. WHEELER: I — I think that he — that he had a significant influence, in that he was always interacting with the — the employees there. That any time I needed to get information to the governor, I would always go through Todd, because he was the only one I could — could talk with, either via the cell phone or in person.

He — I know that he got e-mails and stuff that he was in the loop on — on activities. Because if — if the governor was required to leave and go to Juneau or something, that Todd was always the one that would call me and let me know where they were and that they’d be five or ten minutes out.

So he — yes, he was — he knew a lot of the stuff that was going on.

MR. BRANCHFLOWER: How would you compare his level of involvement with the level of involvement in the day-to-day affairs of the governor’s office by the spouse of former governor Tony Knowles or Frank Murkowski? You worked for them as well, correct?

MR. WHEELER: I did. I would say that the first ladies from the two previous administrations, while they were involved in state business, it was primarily in functions and non — or — I can’t think of the word right now. Private — things like breast cancer awareness and, you know, representing the state in these — in these nonprofit organizations. They all had an organization that they took to heart.

And I never saw that from Mr. Palin. You know, I basically saw where he was involved more with the day-to-day things than — than going out and attending these specific things, or specific organizations.”

If I were the GOP, this is what I’d do.

I’d go ahead and put Palin on the ticket in 2012. They should know they’re going to lose to Obama no matter who they run. Why taint a potential, future candidate with a sure loss?

Palin is their token candidate. A seat filler.

They can use Palin as a placeholder and they can get rid of the Teabaggers once and for all. With Palin as their figurehead, the Teabaggers will be relegated to the lunatic fringe. And the GOP can say “Hey, we gave you a shot and you blew it. Now we call the shots. Tow the line or get out.”.

They can go through the motions of supporting her while in reality hanging her and the teabaggers our to dry. Then after the election make a big deal about hearing the voice of the voters, turning over a new leaf, new direction, etc. And dumping Sarah, the Teabaggers and the Talibangelicals.

No they did not give Celtic Diva a discount. She sent in the check for the full amount she was quoted, so I think she deserves a refund considering the charges that MSNBC paid and got vs what Celtic Diva got and paid for. It is quite ridiculous that Diva had to pay over $5,000.00 for emails when the charge for MSNBC was less than $400.00 and they got so much.

I know that it was the first week of December 1st & 3rd (those are the dates of the posts she made about it) that she got the notification that the records request was ready, but had been partially denied due to so many being classified as “privileged” and she wrote about the list of privileged email list on Jan 25.

I know she said she got over 2,000 pages of information so I am not sure what it is she got as that last discussion in Jan was about what she didn’t get (the emails that were marked ‘privileged’).

Could you have ever imagined that the day would come when a potential Presidential candidate would:

    - Bash a sitting President and imply he is not a commander-in-chief
    - AND have notes written on her hands during a this bashing for all to see AND
    - Sit thru a softball on stage interview with the SAME notes on her hands again for the world to see AND
    - Admit on national TV that as long as you are a well known Republican who can help her politically, you are WELCOME to make fun of people with disabilities AND she will laugh WITH you.

This is freaking awesome. Seriously – anyone who tells me from now on that she is a serious contender for President, I will LAUGH until I can not breathe. Thank you, Jesus.

Here’s one of her crib talking point that she needed to be sure to plug………. “Allowing America’s Spirit to Rise”, again, is that from the downtrodden? or from the dead? ashes? calling it forth from our founding fathers out of some cave? inviting the Holy Spirit to indwell America? and it’s government of course.

Divine intervention of course would be her as the answer to all our ills, gag.

So is she saying the American Spirit has got to be Christian, why yes she is.

    Oh dear………

“I think, kind of tougher to, um, put our arms around, but allowing America’s spirit to rise again by not being afraid to kind of go back to some of our roots as a God fearing nation where we’re not afraid to say, especially in times of potential trouble in the future here, where we’re not afraid to say, you know, we don’t have all the answers as fallible men and women so it would be wise of us to start seeking some divine intervention again in this country, so that we can be safe and secure and prosperous again. To have people involved in government who aren’t afraid to go that route, not so afraid of the political correctness that you know — they have to be afraid of what the media said about them if they were to proclaim their alliance on our creator.”

Our President is not going to back down from Health Care, he just said a large provider out of CA plans to raise it’s premiums by 39%.

My spouse just lost his job a week ago, Cobra for two adults in their mid 50′s with no serious health problems will cost us $1364.00 a MONTH! it was costing us 360.00 through his employer, which my husband never used except for teeth cleaning 2 times a year, and I for mamo, pap and bloodwork.

Who can afford that without a job? We decided to pay as we need treatment, and hope nothing big comes up.

I would encourage those who have health benefits to GET IN to your docs and dentists, eye exams etc. and use them while you’ve got them. I will now not have a mamo or pap since last years.

Aussiegal #257 – amen. Just brought me to do a little research on lying too.

Proverbs: These 6 things doth the Lord hate, yea 7 are an abomination to him: a proud look, a lying tongue and hands that shed innocent blood; a heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, a false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

My mother used to say when I was little, that once one starts a little lie, and gets away with it, they get addicted to lying, and of course it ruins lives around them. I can’t imagine how any family could live daily while making outrageous lies about other people, and on national tv, heavily critiquing leaders on and on so deviously; it would impact children, make them unstable and feel isolated. This makes one get a headache just reading about it.

It cracks me up that her stupid cult followers are defending Palin for writing notes on her hand. They are saying there is nothing wrong with her writing notes on her hand….people have done it for years, etc.

First of all, I challenge them to name “people”. Are they talking about junior high school “people”?

Secondly, I guess those gosh darn high tech teleprompters are bad, but taking a sharpie to your palm or reading notes is good. Sheesh.

My post with (video) times of left palm forward frame-by-frame shots went into moderation – too many links, I believe; my bad.

In any event, the bottom line of the post was:

…we see SOMETHING on the palm of her left hand. [Pretty good pic of 'it" @ minute 5:31 on C-Span: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9_kkIEq-hg&feature=related ]

But what? What is that “something”?

Within the videos I watched, there were also a good dozen or so shots of her left palm that showed absolutely *nothing* at all on it -it was bare nekkid …I attributed that ‘nothingness’ to the rapidity of her hand movement and/or to the lighting [out of deferrence to what seems to be the prevailing line of thinking: SP *did* have words written on her hand.] However…

In all the frames where I did see ’something’, there were only 5 – maybe 8- frames where anything even remotely resembling the layout of ‘the list’, showed. All the rest of the left-palm-forward frames showed different combinations of heavy/light // long/sort // thin/thick “smudges’… none of the frames showed a consistent ‘layout’. Surely IF there had been ‘a list’, the frames showing it would have had some consistency, no?

I also find it extremely odd that out of all the media present, with all the cameras trained on her, only *one* photographer noticed the ’something’ on her left palm and got curious enough to zoom in on it to see what it was? There were no other camera operators/photographers in the room with any curiosity and no other cameras in the room with that zoom in capability? I think that highly unlikely.

Think of it from the financial standpoint of the photographer…can you imagine the amount of money a photo of SP with a ‘crib sheet’ written on her hand, would bring? And you think any photographer would pass up the opportunity to get a photo of that “money shot”? Wouldn’t have heart racings with the anticipation of hawking it to the highest bidder? I don’t.

I’d be interested to find out when the photos were given/uploaded to AP from the photographer who ‘captured’ the “money shot” — was it before minute 6:35 of the Q&A, or after; and, *if* after, how long after? Long enough after, that the photographer (or someone) could’ve found a pic to ‘enhance’ as a ‘companion’ to SPs weird staring at her palm?

Call me skeptical, but the ‘facts’ of the one, lone, “money shot” just don’t add up [for me]. I sure do wish there were SOME –any– corroboration of/for the picture; without one, I think, ‘we’ are just accepting as ‘truth’ what ‘we’ want to see. And that’s a real pity. beth.
