Tiptoeing Through the Muck of Alaskan Politics

Rove on Palin – Get Ready Now.

“Bush’s Brain,” advisor Karl Rove had a few words of advice for the Facebook blogger/Fox commentator Sarah Palin today. If she’s getting ready to run for the White House in 2012, she better start now.

Politico did not elaborate on how exactly Rove suggested this should occur, but we can assume it means doing a lot of reading.

politicsfordummies

Acknowledging that the politics of the day will change between now and then, he still said there’s not a moment to lose.

“This is her year to get ready for the hot spotlight that will fall on her…I don’t know if she wants to, she certainly can, she did very well in the 63 days she was on the national stage,” Rove said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

Really?  Was it only 63 days?  Those for whom that 63 days felt like a lifetime cannot fathom an entire four-year Palin presidency.

But will she or won’t she?  That’s the question that nobody seems to be able to answer for sure.  Keeping us guessing keeps her in the spotlight, however, and speculation alone has fueled sales of her book, anticipation of her next book, and supported six figure speaking engagements across the land – to loggers, and bowlers, and liquor wholesalers, and NASCAR fans alike.  So, even if Palin is not planning to sit in the political dunking booth to which she would be permanently confined in the run up to the 2012 election, she benefits handsomely from not telling us that.

Oh yes. She intends to take it to the very edge. She wants to be considered a <i political professional, as opposed to just a speaker, or ex-governor, or nominal celebrity.

And she wants to keep people guessing. I believe that that is her real agenda – the wiffling around with everything, will she or won’t she?

All her “fans” just need to keep sending her money. It’s a big scam to rake as much in on the false hope of running for President.

    It’s very shameful.

    But we all KNOW THAT!!!!

IMHO, Palin won’t be running for anything except her pocket book. She knows she doesn’t stand a chance. She’s in the spotlight for the purpose of being a shit-disturber. With the announcement of a new book, her latest attempt to host an Alaskan documentary, her line-up of speaking engagements, not to mention her Faux News gig, that will keep her on the national stage where she can continue to spew her rhetoric like she’s campaigning.

The guessing game is her meal ticket and she’s going to milk it until she is pressured to announce a decision on her future plans which means she’s in our face for while yet unfortunately. Grrrrrrrr

I was watching “Meet the Press” this morning (what? I like waking up to political commentary) and almost spit my coffee when I heard “She did really well during the 63 days she was on the national state” and I believe the exact words out of my mouth were “Are you f**king kidding me?”

If that is “doing well”, then I don’t even want to know what doing badly would be like. The whole Republican party is a delusional trainwreck at this point.

There are not enough fingers to plug the leaks in the Palin dykes if she chooses to pursue another career in politics. The amount of career-ending foibles that belong to Palin are certainly too vast to allow her to dip a toe into the political arena. The national media must have an entire hard drive full of stories that they could run one after another regarding her curious relationship with the truth.

I think she knows that if she enters the political arena she will lose even some of her most blind followers.

She’s been relegated to the post of “cheerleader” (for both the Tea Party and the Republican Party?). She obviously wasn’t popular enough to be a cheerleader in high school; those that couldn’t cheer played girl’s basketball instead. Yet now, at 46 years of age, Sarah has finally become a cheerleader, ’cause ya know she really wanted to be one all along ;-)

    Snark Off….

    NO.

Speculation on a future run depends entirely on pundits asking the Grifter to comment-and nobody seems to even bother asking anymore.

Say No to Palin in PoliticsNo Gravatar says:

Well Rove would love for her to run, to be his next puppet. But she won’t. She’s stringing them all along as long as she can to milk as much mula as she can, and make as many mula connections as she can. She has them snowed if they think she’s gonna run. She is not, she knows that would be work and real testing, heck no, she wants nothing of that. She just wants to have fun, be fanned and glob onto money.

I do think Rove was one of a few who put her in the VP slot. He’d love for her to jump in and go for it. But nope, she’s going to go rogue on him too, just as soon as she’s done using him. Rove and Ailes may think they have control of her and can manipulate her, but she’s not going to let them. Nope, she is now her own rogue ship, although using them to make money. She will never again subject herself to public and media humiliation by them questioning her. She could maybe BS most of AK, and now some in the lower 48, but she would never survive campaigning again in the lower 48, she knows this.

If she does attempt to run, it will be because Ailes has somehow convinced her to, but I just cannot not see her instinct going with this, and honestly lol, it would be in her best interest to listen to her instincts, and I think she knows this.

Nope, I think she’ll gladly milk it for what she can financially, thinking she is entitled to it, but she’ll also have boundaries she will not cross, for fear of failure and more humiliation. Can Ailes promise protection from failure and repeated humiliation? I don’t think he can. This is not the same as when he convinced Nixon to trust him. Nope, she knows the risk and is not going to trust it. Because, right now she can make money and ride the flow. To start all over again means big time effort and work, emotional pain and possible humiliation and failure. I’m guessing she’s gonna think it is not necessary or what she needs, so, wrong path.

No way will the failed VP candidate & half term Gov. runs for higher office in 2012. If this is suppose to be her “learning period” – she’s playing hookey like Piper.

And really??? It was only 63 days ??? Also, she was kept under wraps for at least 1/4 of those days boning up on McC’s policy and debate, I can’t see her putting in that kind of dedication & effort for 12 months on an election gamble. Especially when Ms Read-My-Hand would have to put up with main stream media.

    AKPetMomNo Gravatar says:

I do know in my heart that even the biggest King Maker on the planet cannot spin her into a viable candidate. Part of me would like for them to try as it would be the best political theatre ever. Political theatre worthy of Perez Hilton coverage. Yum, she’s such an easy target but she never fails to amuse.

  17. 17

That comment from Rove that Sarah did well on the national stage for 63 days is just more proof that he is delusional and bent on writing his own history. Whenever I’ve heard him talk about Bush I’m convinced that the man is still trying to cover his own a$$ or he really is crazy. I’m kind of thinking it’s the last option.

She’s between a rock and a hard place, can’t announce she isn’t running for political office, because then she can’t have a PAC. If she can’t have a money collecting PAC, how is she going to milk the public? She’ll run it out for as long as she can.
Meanwhile, she must study ways to launder that money into something solely-Sarah’s at long last. Her political lobbyist adviser daughter’s account should be growing exponentially with funds from Mom’s PAC via various routes.
Grifters never expect to be stopped, they are entitled to be supported by the masses, they are so special. Add God opening a thousand doors and it’s free as you go for Sarah.
