Ms Moore is looking kinda narrow in this squeezed photo!

Oh I see; she is squeezed in the headline tease, but not in the main post. For what it’s worth.

AKM – are you going to write about how Mark Begich threatened to side with The Republicans if a liability cap was not put in place to protect the oil companies? I find this turn of events, and my Senators position abhorrent.

Can’t wait to hear what he has to say next time Shannyn interviews him. I would predict:

      a) Well it’s not that simple, oil companies are businesses and they won’t drill for oil (in Alaska) if they can’t determine what their real costs will be, or if they think their costs will be too high.

      b) Private insurance companies won’t be willing, at “reasonable” prices to provide the required insurance. So in order to guarantee our nations energy independence the government needs to provide the insurance (aka the nuclear option).

      Just a hunch.

        c) We are trying to work with the oil companies to come up solutions that everybody is happy with.

He will be in studio with me on Monday. I know Mark well and it’s going to be interesting.
