The Mudflats

Tiptoeing Through the Muck of Alaskan Politics

Why it Matters. (Live Stream of President Obama)

Today, the President plans to speak to house parties across the country at 6:30 ET, 3:30 Pacific, and 2:30 Alaska time. He’ll field questions and talk about the importance of this year’s election — and about how much each commitment to vote matters in moving America forward.
The Mudflats will have a live stream available of the event, so be sure to tune in here at the appropriate time for your area. Feel free to live blog it in the comments, and share your thoughts.

(UPDATE: Looks like there was a delay. Set to go at 7pm Eastern, 4 Pacific, 3 Alaska.)

Does anyone know if a radio station is broadcasting this?

Where I’m at the Internet availability isn’t good enough for live stream.
If I stand on the 3rd floor roof, 3G is somewhat available…

PO talking about Election night 2008. Grass roots, ordinary people. Reaffirmation that our common destiny is up to us, not to big business. Litany of our problems at that time.

Question. How can citizens best mitigate the effects of big money on this election? 86% of big money ads are negative. We can’t change the law this cycle, but we need to get out correct information and get out the vote. People listen more to real people than they do to negative ads.

It is so refreshing to hear intelligent, rational things being said on these issues. The baggers have been taking up all the media’s attention lately. This is a breath of fresh air for me.
